- Oleg (10/5): None - Location
Lovely hosts Shared bathroom

- Mahshid (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable house. Absolutely lovely lady in charge. Breakfast was amazing. Will definitely come back next time I'm in Montreal.
- Giancarlo (7/5): -
- Bonnie (10/5): - Amazing location, easy access by bus and metro to downtown Montreal! Very comfortable room with lovely hosts.
Gute Auswahl an Restaurants in direkter Umgebung.
- B. Giovanni Notto (10/5): Cozy and convenient, with a great breakfast - It's a B&B and I stayed here three nights because I had some work nearby. The hosts were absolutely charming, giving me as much privacy as I needed, while still being friendly and solicitous. The breakfast was delightful, fresh ingredients personally prepared. The room was charming and certainly big enough. Highly recommended. BTW, there is a lively commercial district right there, so there are plenty of options for restaurants and a drug store and supermarket. I really can't think of anything that should be improved. It's small, or course, and somewhat cozy, but nothing wrong with that if it's what you signed on for (as I did).
- Sophie (10/5): -
- Bhakti Goradia (10/5): - Fabulous! So clean, cozy and comfortable. We would love to stay again Absolutely nothing we didn't like . It was perfect!
- Roberta (10/5): - Atmosphere
- Danae (10/5): - Amazing place, so cozy and the hosts make you feel very welcome. The breakfast was homemade pancakes. So nice!
- Susan Helen (10/5): - What a little gem. We felt so welcomed by Louise and Frédéric, and Sweppy, their dog too! We wanted a quiet, peaceful home from home place and this delivered all of that. We stayed for 2 nights in the beautiful ground floor room La Poesie with a view of the garden through the bathroom window. Plenty of hot water, a combined bath and shower, good reception for WiFi and an extremely comfortable bed. Our breakfasts were truly delicious. Thank you Louise, we will never forget you and your wonderful hospitality.
- Armando (10/5): Will be back for sure. - The hostess and the ambiance of the place.
- Jean (10/5): - Accueil sympathique.
- Doreen (9/5): if you want to feel welcome and comfortable, go to this lovely b&b - de familiaire atmosfeer: it felt like coming home.
- Melora (9/5): -
- Tara (10/5): Wonderful find - This is an exceptional place. The host goes out of her way to create a wonderful ambience for meeting your fellow travelers for a delicious home cooked breakfast- don’t miss out!
It’s also a short walk to the ferry that goes to Montreal. If you’re visiting Montreal and arrived by car, leaving your car in Longueuil and taking the ferry is a stress free & fun way to do it. Nothing
- Ellen (7/5): Good value for money and a kind hostess who makes great breakfast but a bit worn down - Great location - can walk in 15min to the water shuttle to Montreal (every hour, only 6 dollar) - a lovely and cheap way to get downtown
Delicious breakfast make with love by the hostess The room was a bit messy; a mixture of all kind of things - felt very crowded and old fashioned
Poor isolation between the room and the living room
- Simon (10/5): Lovely base for our Montreal trip. - I loved the location. Short ferry to downtown Montreal. But longueuil itself is so charming I loved evenings here also.
The hosts are really nice. And the breakfasts were amazing. It felt very homely and I'd defo come back! The resident dog is very cute ❤️ Nothing.
- eric (10/5): -

- Jessica (10/5): Beautiful host in a fantastic location. - Louise was a lovely host and served the best breakfasts! The location was fantastic with restaurants just across the street and an easy walk to the ferry to Old Montreal.
- Douglas (9/5): Good place to stay to be able to see Quebec City without driving in. - Excellent breakfasts in the garden. Good location for the ferry across to Quebec City. Pleasant helpful host Nothing
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional - Cosy atmosphere, delicious breakfast served in the garden, and a cute dog! We had a wonderful, comfortable stay. As we travelled without a car, we also appreciated the proximity of the ferry, which takes you right across to Montreal Old Town. I hugely recommend it!
- Tryphena (9/5): Quaint property in a lovely village area. - Lovely quaint property. Great breakfast with fresh pastries and fruit, also eggs as a choice. Easy access to Montréal via bus and rail. Lots going on locally in easy walking distance.
- Sernim (10/5): Sweet and lovely B&B in Montréal - Our host's home was very comfortable, in a safe neighborhood where you could walk around even at nights and close to the bus and the river boat. Host lady was very lovely, always available, ready to help in any way and she made really good breakfast too that we ate in her garden. Overall, I would revisit and stay here again. Nothing.
- Yirui (9/5): Superb - The room is very comfortable, and the surrounding environment is quiet. The hosts are extremely warm and friendly, and prepare delicious breakfasts every day.
- Karen (8/5): Great location, French breakfast and a lovely quaint stay - Quaint cottage.location was fantastic. Walking distance to the ferry shuttle to old Montreal. Marie was a lovely host. Breakfast was excellent.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - A charming and characterful place that's conveniently located for the bars and restaurants of Longueuil. The owner is friendly and welcoming, and provides great coffee and beautiful breakfasts.
- Vlad (10/5): - Louise, our host, was lovely! She was so attentive with our needs and the breakfasts were delicious! Our room was clean, had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. The house is very charming and decorated by Louise with love and care. We already miss you and Sweppy! When we return to Montreal we will definitely book again! Thank you so much for making our trip so memorable!

- Joanne (10/5): - LOVED my stay here. I’d choose this place over any fancy hotel any day. Louise (spelling?) was so nice and accommodating. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious. Again, Louise made sure there were options for my 2 year old. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay. We look forward to visiting again in the future!

- Kandis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carolyn (8/5): Pleasurable stay lovely helpful hosts - Very friendly hosts good continental breakfast and good location with relaxing garden Personally it was fine for me quaint and olde worlde with character rooms may not be for everyone
- Hans (10/5): Exceptional - Louise was very attentive and helpful, she provided excellent breakfasts. The room was so cozy and everything was very clean. The garden was also a highlight, absolutely recommendable B&B
- Catherine (9/5): A great place to stay and explore greater Montreal. - The host was lovely and so friendly. Close to the ferry and all that Montreal offers.
- Paula (7/5): Good - Very accommodating hosts. Wonderful backyard patio with continental breakfast served every morning. We were free to make our own coffee and serve ourselves. It was excellent, the food and the lovely garden. The room had everything in it that we needed. TV is limited with no streaming access. Room and house are quite dark and lighting could be improved.
- Piotr (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, nearby restaurants, grocery shop, bus stop. Great hosts, tasty breakfast served.

- Joanna (10/5): Wonderful refuge in a great neighborhood near Montreal - Lovely cottage in a great neighborhood outside of Montreal. The staff were really kind and we loved coming back home every day during our trip. There is a small garden area out back that we enjoyed sitting in and eating meals. The shared bathroom worked great for us. The main street nearby has a number of great restaurants, bars, supermarket, etc. We hope to come again!
- Enkelejda (9/5): Superb -
- Molly (10/5): - Charming old stone storybook house, sweet and friendly proprietors. It has the feel of a youth hostel, with a little outside garden, piano, shared bath and kitchen access. You get to old town via a walk and metro ride, and it's just fine if you are not in a rush. The vieux neigborhood surrounding the 'refuge' is interesting and there's a walking path nearby where you can see all the people who live here walking their dogs and so on....delightful!
- Sarah (10/5): Beautiful refuge in Montreal - Host was very nice and place was super clean. Very dog friendly and all dogs well behaved.
About a mile walk to the nearest metro line and near to excellent places to eat and a good supermarket. Parking included and lots of great homey amenities None
- Ognjen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natalia (10/5): - Design of the room, arts, tranquility, and home-like atmosphere of the room. It was a pleasure to stay there.
- Macdougall (8/5): Very good -
- Olivia (10/5): Exceptional - Such a great stay in an adorable little house. Nice area, quite central, not far from downtown Montreal. There is lots to see and do walking distance from the hotel. The staff are wonderful. The place is quiet and clean. Couldn't ask for more for the value.
- Misha (8/5): - This is a really charming place with a very kind and nice host. The place is steps away to nice restaurants, walking and cycling area.
Some downsides of an old house are that rooms are small (at least mine was), with tiny fridge and tiny table, no ventilation in the room or in the shared bathroom (so it can only be controlled by opening/closing windows), water drainage in the sink and the bathroom could be improved as well.
- Esther (8/5): Very good -
- A (8/5): Great stay at lovely place and nice location - Nice easy to reach location, welcoming host and room was offering anything a traveler may require Strange smell (odor of cleaning or air refresher)
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Maureen (9/5): Lovely French setting home stay - Very French Could be better lighting
- Patrick (10/5): Always return - Best base to have between Montreal (metro Longueuil) and the south shore. Beautiful old house with all conveniences walking distance.
Owner is super helpful and easygoing.
Highly recommended if you need a spot on the south shore…
- Anna (8/5): Very good -
- Martina (9/5): Superb -
- Wanda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dorthe (9/5): We really liked the stay - I liked that the room was very cosy, and the house was charming. It was very warm in the room.
- Cindy (6/5): - I booked a 3 night stay at Le Refuge du Poete in Longueuil, Quebec for a stay July 20-23. It is listed on Expedia and on Hotels.com as a B&B. IT DOES NOT SERVE BREAKFAST! I specifically booked it to have the breakfast included before heading into Montreal for business. I was very disappointed. It was too late once I had slept the first night to change my reservation. The description must be changed as it is misleading.
- Vanesa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jane (10/5): Unique property with homely feel and lovely hosts - Unique, charming and cosy sums up this lovely house and accommodation. Louise and Frederic were great hosts and so welcoming. Loved the quaintness and decor of all the rooms and location perfect for bars, restaurants and shops. If you are looking for something a little different, then this is the spot. Would highly recommend if staying in Montreal for a few days. Nothing to complain about. All good.
- Gabino (9/5): Superb - I like the cozy style and quiet environment. The slightly lack of privacy.
- Pradeep (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (8/5): I loved the room, but heard a little too much from outside the room. - Charming old house and decor Because house is old, individual rooms are not sound insulated, and guests are dependant on the quiet and consideration of other guests
- Josh (10/5): - Great hospitality, would recommend this stay to anyone traveling to Montreal area. Nice place to stay outside of the city, convenient location with many dining options within walking distance.
- Muthu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Silvia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rashmitha (9/5): Superb - Amazing
- Kyesja (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steven (8/5): Great place to stay, away from the big city, but with the nice village feel to it. -
- Franklin (7/5): The location was wonderful. It would have helped if we could have been warned about the festival goi - Breakfast was optional
- Margaret (8/5): - Lovely, helpful, kind hostess. Twenty minute walk to subway for Montreal sights
- Jean-pierre (6/5): Pleasant -
- Guy (9/5): Superb -
- Jay (8/5): Very good -
- Marcello (10/5): Excellent and welcoming - The house and the rooms feel very cozy and homey. The location is great, walking distance to a ferry that takes you to Montreal, however other transport options are also available. The shared bathroom wasn’t an issue at all, since we also had a sink in our room and the bathroom was always free when we needed it.
Last but not least, the host Louise was extremely nice (and her dog too). She gave us great tips on where to eat and how to get to Montreal. Thank you!
