• Ade (10/5): Spacious, modern and comfortable apartment, close to the most historical part of Whyalla. - It is very spacious, high ceiling, and it feels just recently renovated makes it really clean and comfortable. There is no grocery shop nearby - this might be just how the town is mapped out.

• caroter5962 (10/5): Absolutely Beautiful! - The Playford Apartments are absolutely beautiful!! So well appointed and so spacious! We stayed here on our way to the Eyre Peninsula and also on the way back. They are fully self contained and there is a laundry in h hotel if you need to use it. The rooms are very tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. There are little extras in your room which makes your stay feel very special! There is a lift if you need it and the carpark is conveniently located at he back of the hotel. It was so comfortable it actually felt like home! The hotel is located in town so you are easily able to walk to cafes and shops. The staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble and they go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible! We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Whyalla! Thank you so much for making our stays so fantastic!!

• Fiona (10/5): A Hidden Surprise of Spacious Luxury - The apartment is very spacious and tastefully furnished, providing a very relaxed ambiance. It is thoughtfully equipped with all that is needed for a short stay. Our room opened onto the very spacious wrap around verandah with seating provided. There is a lift and laundry that provides extra convenience. Playford Apartments are located within walking distance to local shops, cafes and pubs. I would happily stay at Playford Apartments again if visiting Whyalla

Front desk receptionist was very helpful and amiable. Fitted in with my needs and shuffled my booking to a downstairs apartment when I requested. Would definitely come back again when travelling through whyalla N/A
• Wayne (8/5): Spacious, clean, comfortable and good value compared to other local options. - Great spacious room for the price. Nice, clean and modern ensuite. Staff were helpful and the communication prior to check in was great. Very good for the comparable price of other local accomodation. The fridge had a hum, which we communicated to the staff.

First stay we couldn’t get our room card with the code sent by the hotel, had to call staff to get a spare card. Second stay, someone else opened our room while we were resting using another spare card! Staff just said it was a mix-up, with no further apology or action. Rooms can’t be locked from the inside if someone has a key, and the self-service system clearly has many bugs. Not safe at all! One-bedroom apartment is huge, plenty of space, but the bed is tiny! Honestly, way overpriced for what you get.

• CTorpey (10/5): Rustic Charm - Apartment 14 - separate lounge & kitchen, off-street parking, wrap-around verandah access, walking distance to pubs for dining (we didn’t bother using the equipped kitchen for our short stay), good security, elevator access available, luxury treats, pod coffee, bath salts for giant tub👏👏👏. Key safe system, swipe card access, security doors, lots of extra lounging spaces, and the historic building full of charm but very modern interiors.

Modern bathroom , with a big free standing bath. Smoking outside rooms , respect that persons need to smoke out side but the are other non smoking persons wishing to sit out side on the beautiful veranda. Smokers outside , non smokers forced back inside because the all you can smell is smoke . Why can’t there be one designated area on-site for smokers.

• Kenneth (10/5): Great accommodation in Whyalla - Lovely apartment style rooms. Probably the best accommodation that we have stayed in during our trip from Sydney to Perth and return. Our old moodle also seemed very relaxed and at home. Clean, large rooms and well maintained. Nothing at all. Even had a coffee machine that fitted my decaf Nespresso capsules.

Apartment size was pleasantly unexpected, with everything you need to be relaxed and comfortable. The extra deep bath was amazing! 2 minutes walk to Draft & Drift for a margarita, and the foreshore close by made the location perfect for our staycation. Overall, really impressed, would stay again and recommend.

The apartments are in a quiet section of the city across from the police department and around the corner from city street shops. We were very happily surprised at how much 'luxury apartment' we got for the price. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Whyalla.

• Jennifer (9/5): A lovely old style but nicely renovated apartment - We enjoyed the spacious 1 bedroom apartment, the bedroom and bathroom were especially large. We appreciated the little treats, the lift, and the excellent wifi. Parking at the back was tight but adequate. The reception hours were very short, and we were not interested in downloading an app to check in, as we were frequently travelling out of range and without wifi. Fortunately there was an alternative of retrieving our door key from a locked box at 3.30pm after reception had closed.

The manager organised for my bedroom window to be covered because of the strong light coming around the curtains from next door. I liked the pigeons and the sound of the wind in the tree on the other side of the bedroom wall. The room was spacious. The extremely bright light from the post office next door was on all night and was awful. It was not possible to block out this light while still being able to open my bedroom windows during the day. I regret paying so much money- to an evil gambling company.
• glenysmaczk (10/5): A quality historic hotel with modern comforts. - This is a very comfortable accommodation providing excellent quality. Our 1 bedroom was very spacious and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. With aircon in both living and bedroom the temperature was able to be maintained perfectly. The large smart TV with WIFI connection worked efficiently. Whilst the balcony views were not extraordinary, it was great to be able to sit outside on either front or back balconies to enjoy the weather and fresh air. Appreciated the lifts as many accommodations do not provide such on a one story premises. Being in the historical area of the city we appreciated the historic significance.
