Guest Reviews
- Papousek (8/5): -
- Alexandra (9/5): - Lovely company, if you like cats (there are 3, very friendly ones)
The house is impressive and Antonella is lovely and so helpful.
Very good location, right at the end of the main street, close to parking The house itself is very much lived in (but the rooms are guest-ready)
The wind made terrible noises, to the point where i had to wear my headphones to be able to sleep
- Medical Equipment s.r.l. (10/5): Akragas - Posizione e struttura Nulla
- Judith (10/5): Great flat in a - Alessio is an incredibly nice and accommodating person. I'm sure he helps within seconds if needed.
The flat is really great, everything is brand-new and clean. Paterno itself 🤭.
- Lara (10/5): Perfect - Everything was perfect. The location is excellent, the room is very comfortable and the owner is very kind. On my next trip, I will stay there again. Thank you!
Colazione completa e buonissima.

Beautiful architectural details and large, airy, and comfortable bedrooms. Also, Antonella was very accommodating allowing us to park our bicycles inside overnight. 5 stars all around, highly recommend.

- José (10/5): Perfect location, friendliest host, and beautiful place. Would definitely come back! - The owner -Antonella-, her indications in what to see and her overall friendliness
- Lenju (9/5): 100% recomended - Antonella is a superb host, the location of the apartment is very convenient and we very much enjoyed our stay there, the apartment was superb clean and tidy. Breakfast was really good too!!
- Pui (10/5): Exceptional - The host was lovely. Good breakfast. Nice accommodation, very centralised location. Highly recommended.
- Stine (9/5): Warm and welcoming accommodation - This B&B was a last minute booking for us, but it was such a lovely find that our two families both wished, we could have stayed longer. The location was fantastic, very close to everything. The rooms were authentic and beautiful, with very comfortable beds, and good amenities with easy access to bathrooms. The host provided a delicious breakfast and was able to also provide gluten free alternatives to the coeliacs. The host was warm and welcoming, and extremely helpful with advice on things to see and do in Agrigento. We were sad to only stay one night. We liked everything about this B&B and would recommend. Please be mindful that the street the B&B is extremely narrow and not for cars. Our navigation send us to the exact address and we almost got stuck in lane way. Would highly recommend parking and leaving car somewhere close.
- Lorenzo (10/5): Exceptional - Host was super nice. Helpful too, with plenty of good advice.
- Rosina (9/5): Wonderful stay - Cosy. Lovely room and lovely hostess. Nothing
- craig (10/5): - A lovely lady providing accommodation in her large and ancient house in the centre of the town. Our top floor room was spacious and well equipped and our hostess was quick to give us information and advice. There's no parking provided but we were able to find a spot quite close by. Would have liked to stay longer!!
- Christina (8/5): House with history - Nice host, well preserved house with loads of interesting things. Good location in a very steep street. Parking is a mess
- Larry (8/5): Very good -
- Patricia (8/5): Very good -
- Rosanna (8/5): Very good -
- debing1 (10/5): lovely place to stay - Spent 3 nights...a wonderful visit. Easy to find. Antonella is a very friendly host, the room was spotless and comfortable. Delicious breakfast, including fresh baked goods.
There are 2 cats and a dog which are very friendly.
- NomadicTraveller7 (4/5): Bitten by something during the night - Dark room, with nowhere to really work at computer. - Our room was rather small and dark and we looked out onto the tiny terrace and TV in the living room of the apartment opposite, which was less than 2 metres away. How much you like staying there depends, I think, on whether you are lucky or not and get one of the better rooms. There were some positives associated with our room. The bathroom was fine and the shower was effective. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The downstairs area seemed at times to be the family space, with its spectacular arches, lovely cats and the strange looking dog. Guests could have been encouraged to use the communal space as it was difficult to work at a computer or read in the room. I quickly got a sore neck typing on my laptop while sitting in the chair in the room. Breakfast was OK.
However, the most serious thing was that both of us got bitten during the night, one of us quite extensively, with 10 or so red marks which still could be clearly seen 10 days later. 5 were in a tight line on the back. They were certainly not mosquito bites as we did not hear them.
When we booked we were not offered being picked up from, and taken to, the bus terminal. Note that it is quite a distance to walk from the bus terminal and railway station, particularly as there is not a useable pavement for more than half the distance on Via Atenea. I do not know why this street is not fully pedestrianised.
- ver0nika8 (10/5): Lovely, clean and helpful - It's a family house place ran by mamma, who makes wonderful jams, and a daughter, who will help you around with the sights and all kind of in&outs.
Recommend it as a suitable bed&breakfast while visiting amazing Agrigento which should not be missed en route to Sicilia.
- Travellingquin16 (4/5): Very close to the centre of Agrigento old town - B&B which is in the heart of the old town. There is parking in the town but not directly adjacent to the house which is in a very narrow street.
The rooms are in the owner's home and sometimes we felt we were intruding on the family by being there.
Agree with other comments that the room was basic but adequate and if being within walking distance of the old town is important for you, you will struggle to find anywhere closer.
The family recommended some good local restaurants for us to use in the evening and they were excellent.
The family have pets which we hadn't realised when booking.
- clauded366 (10/5): A warm welcome in the heart of the old town - This B&B is run by a lady -Signora Antonella- who is remarkably helpful and friendly with her visitors.
The house is vast and cool, located in a street so narrow that in other parts of the world it would be called an alley ; this is old Agrigento, it has a lot of character and youi have to know that in advance. In particular, if you travel by car, you will not be able to come closer to the front door than a distance of about 200 meter ; but Antonella will help you carry your luggage and she will explain how and where to park you car at zero cost (most probably on Piazza San Giacomo).
The rooms are vast and clean, with TV and fridge and A/C ; the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms "no nonsense".
The price asked for is extremely reasonable.
And Antonella is the best source of information you can dream of (she works at the Museum of Archeology in the Valley of Temples).
- shionac737 (10/5): Wonderful - This is one of the nicest bed and breakfasts that we have ever stayed in! Beautifully appointed, round king-sized bed, huge en-suite with walk in shower and spa bath, fresh bread and croissants for breakfast on the terrace and wonderful homemade jam. I was a bit worried when I read that there was a dog and cats as my husband is allergic to both, but luckily Antonella put us in No 24, just a few doors up from No 12, and there were no dogs or cats there. Great location too. Near the Main Street and there is a local bus stop in the square just round the corner. Can't wait to go back!
- HappyTravellerNC (4/5): Rooms are iterally in a family's home - The family was very nice and accommodating, but we felt we were intruding in their personal home. The room was basic but adequate and the parking is only in a paid garage down the street with narrow driveway into underground parking.
Assolutamente consigliato
- 987lynnd (4/5): “You may opt to find better lodging... although the staff & location are excellent.” - Pros: The staff and the location.
Cons: The B & B was cluttered throughout. The breakfast was okay, brioche, toast & jams, coffee. The bed was uncomfortable, towels were worn and not soft. Exposed pipes and valves in the bathroom wall. The internet was so slow it was not worth getting online.
Notes: This property has a dog and a few cats. We were fine with this but, wanted to inform everyone in case you have allergies or do not favor pets. Parking in Piazza Sinatra and the short walk to the B & B is very doable.
- 699madeleines (10/5): Superb - What an astonishing town house. Bedroom was beautiful with high lofty ceiling. We had a balcony with a street view. Parking was available just around the corner. The host was lovely recommending an excellent restaurant for the evening. The house had a peaceful and characterful atmosphere. Breakfast was included we with a nice cup of tea and homemade jams with croissants and bread. The hosts also have a 9 month old handsome and hilarious British bulldog and a cat which the bulldog would chase! We were thoroughly entertained. We loved this place.
- 857carolv (10/5): Fun stay, great hosts! - Unique BnB in a building from 1100 A.D.! Our room was one the upper floor, cozy. The hosts were welcoming and fun, with a recommendation for an excellent wine bar nearby. The wife works at the archeological museum, so gave us lots of good information and visited with us when we went to the museum the next day. ***Parking- be sure to call ahead for guidance to park in the main square (Piazza Sinatra?), short walk to the BnB. Don't make the same mistake we did, following google maps down an alley...it was harrowing, car barely made it through, we were driving over stoops...funny afterwards, but get the extra insurance on your rental car! When we asked our hosts if cars drive on the alley in front, the wife responded "o mi dio, mai" (oh my god, never), the husband's response? "Magnifico".
- johnnar2014 (8/5): Great breakfast - This was a nice place near all the historic sights in Agrigento. Easy to find and not a far walk from the train station, but much of it is uphill. The staff was great, super friendly and provided a map and showed me how to get to all the sights, to the bus station to get to the Valley of the Temples and back. WiFi worked well in the room and the breakfast was fantastic.
