Important Information

Children under the age of 3 are not allowed in the kids' club. We inform you that Sotavento Beach club will be undergoing maintenance and conservation works in one of our pools(pool without animation) between November 17th and December 7th 2025. The afected zone won't be accesible for guests, there will be no visual affectations. The rest of the facilities, the rest of the pools included will be fully operational. Maintenace work will be performed Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00, always keeping in mind the comfort and wellbeing of our guests.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

Isabelle (7/5): - Die Anlage ist sehr gross und hat viele Angebote. Das Zimmer mit Meerblick ist traumhaft. Ich konnte auf meinem Balkon "sünnele" und nicht genug vom schönenen Meerblick bekommen. Ich habe diese Ruhe sehr genossen. Die Auswahl am Buffet ist riesig und fein allerdings könnte es mehr vegetarische Alternativen geben. Mit Alternativen meine ich nicht nur Gemüse, sondern Tofu oder Vegi Schnitzel etc... Leider wurde beim Zimmerputzen den Dreck einfach auf den Balkon gewischt. Das Warmwasser war nach 5 Minuten bereits kalt. Beim Buchen war mir nicht bewusst, dass man für viele kleine Dinge extra bezahlen muss (Fitness, Seife?...) Auch für die Getränke am Abend musste ich bezahlen, trotzdem Halbpension, davon hörte ich beim Einchecken zum ersten Mal. Die Küche ist nicht gut ausgestattet für zum selberkochen, war zum Glück nicht notwendig, da das Essen am Buffet fein war.
sandrab2018 (6/5): Disappointing - The hotel is large and we had the 1st floor (2 flights of stairs) room with kitchenette. I think we were the only british speaking holiday makers except for a guest we met from london the day before we left. The room itself was basic but clean. Entertainment, tv and most literature was in German or Spanish!! Food was bland and not much variety for vegans or anyone on a gluten free diet!! Plus side was our balcony was a perfect spot for sunbathing. Staff did not always speak English so communication was challenging. The resort would suit german spanish, dutch holiday makers. We will not be returning!!

Andrea PeTs (9/5): - Die Lage der Apartments war toll, mit Verbindungstür dazwischen und Terrasse direkt am Pool. Für Urlaub mit Kindern unbezahlbar. Zudem haben wir den Pool vor der Terrasse gehabt wo es schön ruhig war, ohne ständige Animation, das mögen wir nämlich alle nicht so. Für den Erholungswert war es unbezahlbar und die Kinder hatten viel Spaß auf dem Spielplatz und im Kids Club.. Das Frühstücksbuffet ließ keine Wünsche offen und das Abendbuffet war ebenfalls sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich.

Wieczór meksykański, włoski, etc. Sklepik na terenie ośrodka również bardzo ok, zarówno jeśli chodzi o asortyment jak i ceny. Basen ok, ale ciężko o wolne leżaki. Na minus: brak klimatyzacji w pokoju, brak czajnika. Serwis sprzątający przez cały tygodniowy pobyt był tylko 2 razy.
Rafał (7/5): - Obiekt dość rozległy i blisko plaży, jednak plaża trochę kamienista ale z 5 minut piechotą jest fajna plaża. Dwa baseny przyzwoitych rozmiarów, leżaki jeżeli nie zarezerwujecie z rana to nie ma co liczyć, dość mocno zużyte i zabrudzone średnia przyjemność na nich leżeć. Z jedzenia korzystaliśmy z śniadań i kolacji. Śniadania codziennie to samo ale każdy coś wybierze dla siebie, kolacje nieco zmieniane, ogólnie z Turcją nie do porównania ale głodni nie będziecie chodzić. Goście to faktycznie głównie Niemcy, ale spokojnie najważniejsze sprawy można załatwić po angielsku. Największy minus to brak klimatyzacji w pokojach na co nie zwróciliśmy uwagi przed rezerwacją więc jeśli dostaniecie pokój na parterze to współczuję. Mimo rezerwacji pokoju z widokiem na ocean dostaliśmy pokój na parterze w drugiej linii gdzie przy wyjściu na balkon gdzieś w oddali między budynkami można było dostrzec niewielki kawałek oceanu. Całe szczęście po rozmowie w recepcji pokój wymieniono nam na taki w pierwszej linii i widok był ekstra. Łóżka dla dzieci mało wygodne te dla dorosłych ok, ale pościel ma bardzo nieprzyjemny zapach potu.

Andreas (10/5): - 8 Tage All-Inclusive mit meinen erwachsenen Kindern Mitte Mai, wir hatten alle Erholung dringend nötig. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, alles sauber und funktional und ansprechend. Kurze Wege zum Sandstrand. Die Zimmer geräumig und mit großen Balkonen ausgestattet, mit hatten wunderschönen seitlichen Meerblick. Ein 2. Pool ohne Animation war für uns der Platz zum entspannen. Herausragend gut das All-In Buffet. Sehr abwechlungsreich und gute Qualität. Das mehrfache Highlight jeden Tages. Zusätzlich IMMER aufmerksames, freundliches und deutschsprachiges Personal. Und auch die Abendunterhaltung und das Sportangebot hat uns gut gefallen. Alles in allem ein ganz toller Urlaub und das Hotel eine klare Empfehlung.

The playground is in a good condition. The food was fine; but we realized that for us breakfast would have been sufficient; as you don’t experience the canary island food if you eat at the buffet every evening Customer service was not really present; very rude reception; at check out no one asked if we liked the Stay. Room cleaning is done in 5 mins; bedsheets were not changed and mattress was very dirty. Everything is charged extra (Gym), deposit for towels. The beach in front of the hotel not suitable for kids (you have to walk a bit to reach a stone free beach). No lunch options at the hotel if you’re on Half Board

The breakfast was also good. I found it difficult to be comfortable as it was mainly a German hotel and was only catered for people who were German. I couldn't join in with any of the activities and I probably would have chosen somewhere else to stay. There were so many kids at the hotel it was overwhelming and noisy. The room could have provided shower gel at a minimum..

Jürgen (8/5): Familienbesuch Costa Calma statt Berlin - Schöne auf Familien ausgerichtete große Ferienanlage auf höhenmäßig mehreren Ebenen. Dadurch viele Treppen oder Rampen zu überwinden um die verschiedenen Einrichtungen zu erreichen. Die meisten Apartements sind in 3 geschossigen Gebäuden. Wir hatten ein Erdgeschossapartement mit Terasse ca 15m vom Pool ohne Animation. (Perfekt für mich als Person die schlecht läuft) Da wir uns nicht selbst verpflegt haben kann ich über die Ausstattung der Küche nicht viel sagen da wir nur den Kühlschrank und die Kaffeemaschine benutzt haben. Beides hat perfekt funktioniert. Die Matratzen waren für uns etwas hart, aber wir haben gut darauf geschlafen. Die Verpflegung (Büffet) ist gut und die Auswahl enorm. Wir hatten Halbpension. Das Restaurant "Bar Teide" etwas oberhalb vom Pool mit Animation bietet sehr gute Qualität bei wie ich meine sehr günstigen Preisen. Die zweite Bar am oberen Pool haben wir nicht besucht. Die Mitarbeiter der Rezeption sind sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und ich glaube alle sprechen mindestens drei Sprachen. (deutsch, englisch und spanisch fließend) Das gilt auch für alle anderen Mitarbeiter die wir während unserem Aufenthalt kontaktiert haben. Für mich und meine Frau ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt.

I understand that it is targeting the German market but not even the local language. We are English and Spanish speakers and we did struggle to communicate. I found that not great especially if you are in Spain.

Siarhei (8/5): We could not use the balcony to relax at any time of the day because of the noise described above. - Tasty food with good choice every day, we liked the national flavors and welcome drinks The noisy neighboring building is an absolute disaster. Seems like their ventilation box on the roof is not properly sound isolated and they simply do not care (or no one cared to ask to fix it). They switch off the noisy engine on the roof at night at least, but during the day every day is a source of disappointment about the whole area. Please approach them to demand a noise reduction fixture and report back. This is the neighbor building to the right if you look to the sea (its facing the sea), but you should notice the constant noise from the Sotavento rooms on the right.
Rafal (8/5): Great overall experience and value for money. Would definitely come back. - Very good quality and location next to the beach. Excellent value for money. Very friendly staff. Excellent food, both breakfast and dinner. Good, spacious apartments. Well, if I want to be picky, I’d say that lack of parking on site is a minus, but that’s hard to fix given the location and there’s no problem in parking on the street (at least in January). Also, it’s be good to be informed upon check in on which days the room is not cleaned (including Sundays), so that you can plan in advance with the towels, etc.
Viktorija (1/5): Bad - No complaints up until the incident at dinner. I tried to make a cup of tea to eat with a desert, when a member of stuff grabbed a cup from my hands and another member shouted that tea is only for breakfast. When asked to speak to manager I was ignored. I then went to reception to ask for the general manager, however I was told they cant contact him/her. In general, everyone at the restaurant was very aggressive in the way they talked and how they tried to enforce the rules like no tea drinking at the dinner, even though tea and hot water was on the display at the buffet , and no signs were there to inform that it is only reserved for breakfast. Similarly often quite aggressive in how they enforce partial closures of the restaurant before the official restaurant closing time when staff decides they want to start cleaning the area early. As a result, last hour of dinner and breakfast, half of the restaurant is closed and is being loudly cleaned which makes you feel as if you are already sitting past the working hours even though that is not remotely the case. This is a shame, given how friendly the reception stuff is most of the time and the location of the hotel is very good.

The view of the sea was very nice. *There was essential information which was not conveyed to us at reception or anywhere else e.g. dress code on certain on Christmas day for dinner, the need to keep a certain piece of paper for the restaurant, confusing information about the laundry arrangements. *The kitchen is tired and only minimal. Not even a microwave is provided. *The shower hot water was barely enough for two quick showers definitely not for a family even of three... *The shower room smells of sewage. *Lack of privacy there is a resort walking path in front of the rooms. *Restaurant - food was not impressive at all. Tap water for drinking not provided. *Information centre hours of operations are quite limited.

The resort is very nice and also all the apartments are good. The dinner has a good choice, with the majority of dishes very good and some also excellent, but the breakfast is quite boring, with few things being good, all the pastry is very poor, same for ham, sausages and eggs. The beach is nice with good hikes on your doorstep. Most of the guests are Germans and overall is a good and safe environment.

royp484 (10/5): Lovely holiday - This hotel is nice and clean. Food is amazing, plenty of choice and freshly prepared. Even some good glutenfree options! There are two pools with enough sunbeds, and there is also direct access to the beach. Staff is friendly and fluent in Spanish and German, probably English too. Animation team is very active and working hard to make it a lovely stay for all guests. When we were there, mostly German and Dutch guests. We booked a room with sea view, which is absolutely worth the extra cost as the view is really nice, but you really cannot go wrong if you book one of the other rooms as it is so close to the beach anyway. Rooms were nice, although the furniture could use an update. Sofabed was really uncomfortable and would be the only negative comment that I would make to an otherwise lovely holiday!

George (9/5): The perfect place for a quiet getaway, yet plenty to do should you choose. - Have been here a number of times and have loved every single stay. The location is perfect. The rooms are large and well furnished. Each room has a well equipped kitchenette and balconies are large with every one of them having a great view, wether the beach or the large pool areas. Lots of food options at all meals. I’m pescatarian and there’s always plenty of choice. This trip was for just me and my partner but I’m bringing my daughters here again this summer. Costa Calma has unlimited perfect beaches that are never crowded. A constant breeze means you rarely overheat and is perfect for kitesurfing, windsurfing, etc. Nothing. - It’s worth noting that this hotel is set up for German travellers so all entertainment is in German. I don’t speak German and have never had a problem with this. I love the vibe and culture of here.

Only fake stuff - sugar water or water with sweetener. Please keep it neutral - why safe on these essentials? 2. A bit cheap: In house gym- which is small but ok - you have to pay 5€ for use. Dear hotel: an in house gym is supposed to be few for your paying guests.

Carl (10/5): Exceptional - This hotel I liked. I had an apartment. Very clean. A cool bedroom, slept well, needed no air-condition. A well equipped kitchenette, living-room a stair-step down with comfortable sofa and a TV (with also German and English channels, not only Spanish). A large balcony with chairs, table and sun lounger. One reason that I chosed this hotel was for the activities, for example fitness classes, which were even better than I expected. The gym was small, but had enough equipment to make me satisfied. I booked breakfast and dinner, which both were buffet, with a lot to chose from. Great. The staff was nice! The complex was situated right at the beach. I also liked that the two pools were in different places, one pool was reserved for relaxation, no playing or other disturbing noise there. Good value for money.

Excellent location, with direct access from the hotel to the beach. Internet access in our room was very patchy, rarely lasting for more than a few seconds, so we had to go to the reception area to obtain a reliable signal.

Toni Lea (6/5): Lovely beaches but food??? - We loved our trip to Fuertenventura. The hotel was as expected and our view was beautiful. Our only complaint about the hotel was the food. It was not fresh food. We wish we had just gotten the breakfast plan or no plan at all. The apartment has a kitchen and there is at least one restaurant close by. We did eat at the bar one time for lunch and it was very nice. In general the island is not so pretty but the beach and ocean were lovely. We enjoyed our two boat trips from Morro Jable. Both companies picked up close to our hotel. The drive over to the west coast is only 15 minutes and has some amazing beaches. But if you want a lush green island, look elsewhere!

Tom (10/5): - Fijne combinatie van de voorzieningen van een hotel op een appartementencomplex, zeker een aanrader. Vrijwel alle gasten zijn Duits, maar wat mij betreft niet storend. Gasten waren rustig en sociaal. Wel zou het hotel meer in het Engels kunnen communiceren (naast Duits en Spaans), zoals de bordjes bij het buffet. Ontbijt meer dan prima, diner soms wat weinig keus, maar kwalitatief goed. Appartement was ruim en schoon. Douche is de enige tegenvaller; warm water raakt snel op. Locatie aan het strand is mooi, maar (vrijwel) geen leuke restaurantjes op loopafstand. Wij hadden een huurauto om het eiland te verkennen, waardoor dat geen groot probleem was.
