• plfara (10/5): Great location - We had a two storey apartment with everything we needed. To be perfectly honest, our apartment was getting a little tired in some areas, the pictures look better online. But it was clean and in a great location for a walk into town. There’s everything you need for self catering, with a large kitchen family area upstairs. It’s an upside down configuration, with the bedroom on the ground floor. Overall, a great stay but a few areas could do with a bit of TLC.
• edwinp1017 (6/5): Didn’t live up to our expectations - Check in was by text with instructions on where to find the key to our room. There is no one on site as what was reception is now part of a private house. We asked for a sea view, which we got if you stood at the sink and looked through the upstairs kitchen window. ‘Island View’ it was not! The apartments are based around a small quiet side street and our one bed unit had bed/bath/laundry downstairs and living accommodation upstairs. Overall it was ok. Fairly clean(a couple of spider webs in windows and on ceiling), shower over bath, and equipped with what you needed, but we had a feeling the whole place wanted some TLC. The sofa had seen better days, the fly nets had holes in them, the washing line was broken and entangled in next doors hedge(ok we had a dryer), and the balcony table base was unsteady and rusty. So for what we paid and after the write ups we had read we felt fairly disappointed. That said we didn’t see anywhere better in Esperance. Maybe we just had a tired unit.
• pmhughj (10/5): Family Fun at Christmas Time - a home away from home. - Stayed over Christmas Day 2025 and found it very suitable - love the upstairs living area and attention to detail re: furniture and accessories, nice linens and styling. Very 'beachy' feel :) Close to shops and cafes for walking, and our unit had a nice little view of the water (though it was a bit windy to be outside looking at it most of the time!) Our hosts provided a Christmas tree at our request, and even a few decorations - a great little home away from home. Quite good equipment and kitchen facilities, spa good, shower nice, good sized bathroom. Laundry and washing line facilities very welcome as we did lots of swimming. Hosts and maintenance/cleaning crew were very welcoming and helpful. My only slight challenge was: 1. Knives weren't great for what we needed (carving a turkey roll etc) :) 2. Quite a few kitchen cupboards but almost nowhere to put your own foodstuffs etc - and we were there for almost a week so that was a little frustrating. Would def stay again though.
• tanyabZ2724BR (10/5): Best Family Beach Apartment - We loved our stay at Island View, the perfect beach house for our family. The apartment was clean, the staff very helpful when we needed assistance with bedding, the apartment has all the amenities we needed in kitchen items, BBQ and having the laundry facility was such a great help in cleaning our beach towels and bathers. We will definitely be back
• E2056ZXsamf (10/5): Great stopover for 3 nights. - 6 friends shared the lodgings for 3 nights during a trip crossing the Nullarbor. Great location and facilities. Comfortable, close to shops and eateries with a great view. The balcony and BBQ was well appreciated as was the lockup garage. Great value for 6 sharing and with plenty of space, far better than a hotel or motel. We were even accommodated with an additional mattress. A coffee machine would have been the only thing that would have made it perfect.

• Andrew (8/5): - Needs some updating based on the price charged. Security was a bit light, but seemed a safe area. Position was great, convenient and quiet. Communication awesome.

• veroniquec105 (10/5): Wonderful stay in Esperance - Excellent house for vacation Lots of space, parking available Near restaurants and supermarkets just in front of the jetty, ideal for walks all along the beaches and 10 minutes drive from all the other wonderful spots to swim It was cold for me to swim in the sea but we had a blast in Esperance It is really a spot not to be missed during vacation in Western Australia I really recommend it !
• Explorer34016143451 (8/5): Perfect position to relax - Perfect position. A large apartment looking across at the water. Found the bathroom a little dated and wet floor shower water went everywhere! Comfy bed provided a great sleep. Overall a reasonable stay.
• Y4522EGpennys (8/5): Comfortable and clean - My husband and i stayed 3 nights early August 2025 in a one bedroom two storey apartment with sea view. The sea views were obstructed quite a bit, the apartment though starting to look a little dated had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The apartment had been cleaned exceptionally well. Although i didn't need to use the laundry, it would have been a great bonus if we were staying longer. I have stayed in other properties in Esperance and thought the apartment was reasonably good value for money.

• ianwC8771DR (10/5): Great place to stay on a stopover in Esperance - Lovely 1 br apartment with generous living space and views from kitchen window out front to esplanade. Private balcony too but looked on to rear of property and other therefore apartments. Very clean and well presented and had everything we needed for our stay. We arrived after dark which was not planned so had a few issues finding our apartment but that was on us as we had all the instructions we needed. Lights were on and apartment was welcoming. Walking distance to the renovated Tanker Jetty with coffee shop/s and also along the beautifully maintained esplanade walk to the Clocktower near the working port. Beautiful part of WA not to be missed.

Washing machine was a bonus too. Aside from being a little noisy, being on the main road, everything else was very good and we had a great stay.
• I6790ERianj (10/5): Home Away From Home - Our recent holiday in Esperance was made even more enjoyable with the comfort and convenience of our 'home away from home' at Esperance Island View Apartments. Our two-storey apartment (No. 5) was perfectly located and ideal for an extended getaway. Loved the upstairs kitchen/dining/living area, and the downstairs bedroom was very comfortable. Very good value overall.
• Glennis (8/5): - Good central position, walking distance to shops, promenade along the ocean and close to jetty. Good sized rooms, comfortable beds. Clean. Great laundry. Plenty of towels. However, missing a lot of basic needs in the kitchen. Eg paper towel, chopping board, trivets, serving bowls. No free connection to Netflix. Some of the power points need to be replaced.
• jjcourt (10/5): Esperance & surrounding beaches are stunning - We had a great 2 night stay & loved the position & walked along the Esplanade to jetty & had a great dinner at the Thai restaurant close by. We took a day trip to Lucky Bay & surrounds.. just magic! Definitely worth a visit & apartment was clean & with all comforts of home, even had a laundry with washer & dryer. Much appreciated after travelling for a week
• sc2019x (10/5): Great location, very comfortable - Fantastic location within a minute’s walk of the waterfront. Spacious accommodation laid out “upside down” to maximize living space with large well equipped kitchen/diner/sitting area and balcony for morning coffee. Bedrooms (only used one) were comfortable. Bathroom a little dated, but functional and clean. Overall a really great spot to spend time in this beautiful area.
• Sharon (8/5): - We enjoyed the ease of getting to the waterfront walkway. However the traffic along the esplanade (which our unit faced) during the week was not for us. Morning and afternoon seemed to be quite busy. The unit itself was pleasant with a comfortable bed. The air conditioning is not in the bedroom but only the lounge. There was no dryer in the designer 1 bed unit which has an ocean view.

• FJA066 (6/5): Nice location but the apartment has issues - Booked an apartment with a King bed but there was only a Queen bed when we arrived. The apartment we stayed in needs a really good clean. All the grout was filthy and there was mould I. The shower recess. The toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly before our arrival and whoever cleaned failed to clean behind doors or remove cobwebs. The internet kept dropping out which was frustrating and it was really hot in the bedroom (ceiling fan but no aircon downstairs). The apartment was reasonably well equipped but there was no clothes dryer and it was difficult to get the towels dry with the limited rails in the bathroom. The lounge suite needs to be replaced as the base/stuffing has given way and it is very uncomfortable to sit on. Noise travels from neighbouring apartments. Convenient location and designated parking but not sure we would stay again here next time we visit Esperance
• glendacE9192PT (10/5): Great family apartment, good location across the road from the beach. - Our apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable and had many little extras that help a holiday. Plenty of towels, pillows and extra bedding. The location is excellent for the foreshore, it was nice to have a view of the water. I would stay here again. It's also handy having a laundry.

• Anderst04 (6/5): Strange layout - We had a single storey (#1) one bedroom unit on the Esplanade. It was new and well appointed but really strangely laid out. Lots of space, but none where you needed it. In the bedroom, the closets were behind doors. Very awkward. Large kitchen. Nice toiletries. The bathroom gets soaked every time you use the shower. The shower screen doesn’t go to the floor and therefore water floods the area around the toilet, and out to the vanity area. When we checked in after COB we were met with a very unhelpful customer service agent who didn’t help at all and stated that he had sent a Check-In email earlier. Given the number of other places in this lovely town, I wouldn’t stay here again.
• Aline (10/5): - We were not disappointed with our stay at Island View Appartements. It had everything we wanted from a holiday destination. Very well located, well equipped (except for a clothes dryer), and quiet. We would recommend !
• Scott (6/5): - A good place for a rural stay. It was fine and comfortable only bad thing was the internet was unusable. It seems to be a shared service across several apartments and at night it’s just not usable. 4G coverage was also not great but it was at least usable for emails
• 34glend (10/5): Single storey apartment at front - Great location and well equipped property. Very comfortable bed with great pillows and well equipped kitchen. Would definitely recommend this property. Had everything required for a relaxing break. Opposite fantastic walkway close to beach.
• Josef (4/5): - Good location with generous room layout. We really enjoyed our last visit in 2017! Now in March 2025, the rooms and facilities are in urgent need of renovation. Very poor and very dirty windows, cupboards and furniture badly damaged, taps did not work, washing machine with bad odour. Basic cleaning only just done! We cannot recommend it to others.

Esperance is a superb destination with access to National Parks and its own Great Ocean Drive. Pink Lake butchers sell amazing meat at reasonable prices. The modern spacious apartment is the ideal base.
• 362anneliesem (4/5): VERY outdated, definitely not delux! - Our apartment was VERY outdated and in an extremely tired condition. The curtains had mold and dirty stains on all of them, the sofas were very very worn (didn’t want to sit on them to be honest,) the kitchen (didn’t want to cook in it, was very off putting) and bathrooms also outdated, flyscreen tatty and broken in the downstairs bathroom. The bedroom downstairs (king) had only one bedside table and lamp (useless for reading/glass of water.) I’m really not sure where these 5* reviews come from about new apartments but that definitely was not our experience. Perhaps management should consider refurbishing all apartments first before the reception area on the basis we paid for a ‘delux,’ nothing could be further from the truth. Really disappointed and most definitely wouldn’t recommend. Oh and as for the ‘island view,’ unlikely!
• TinaS196 (10/5): Excellence in Esperance - It was perfect. No complaints whatsoever. Check in was easy, and convenient in that we could access a lock box. The unit was newer, clean and comfortable. We didn’t have a need that wasn’t met. I especially appreciated the washer in the unit as we had been traveling from the states and this was our last stop, so I was running low on clean clothes. It was surprisingly quiet given the road front location. Conveniently located. We walked to the nearby Thai restaurant. Would recommend!

They have everything you need including a washing machine and dryer. The bed was super comfortable and the linen was lovely We loved the area and enjoyed our walks and swims - its a really special place and hope to be back one day We highly recommend Island View Thank you for such a happy time
• Ash (6/5): - We enjoyed our stay but both my husband and I got multiple shards of glass in our feet from walking inside the property and with two young children (crawling and walking) we decided to leave early.
• June (10/5): - We stayed in a wonderful apartment facing onto the foreshore. It had everything we could need and was very comfortable. The Island View Apartments are in a really good location close to everything and although our apartment was by the roadside we were not at all bothered by noise or traffic. I’d definitely recommend it for a stay in Esperance.

On the surface very clean. 2 biggest complaints: the shower is atrocious (water goes all over the bathroom) and although all of the windows are beautiful there are no blackout curtains for the 4:30 am sunrise. Location is great!. Overall enjoyed my stay.

The apartment was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen had all the essentials, and the living area was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location of the apartment was ideal – just a short drive to the beautiful beach and close to the town center shops.

They were flexible in allowing us in early because we arrived before the stated check-in time, which we really appreciated.

Our bathroom vanity had white "streaks" all over it and the pillows were some of the poorest quality we have came across. Will be looking elsewhere for value for money

• ajohnfromsanfran (10/5): Superb Accommodation! - What a lovely place to stay mere steps from the Esperance beachfront and a few blocks on foot from the town center. Everything we needed or could have wanted was provided - thank you! Our apartment was welcoming, cozy and absolutely immaculate. It had a well-appointed, spacious kitchen/dining room; comfortable bed; lots of cabinets/closets; soaking spa tub, etc. Most important, we felt at home and like we could really relax and enjoy ourselves - just what you want when you're on vacation! As was noted by another traveler, our stay also lined up with when the venue offices happened to be closed so our check-in experience was herky-jerky, at best. We were not informed ahead of time that the office would be closed when we arrived but a workaround was arranged for us straightaway - much appreciated! We will be back hopefully soon and would highly recommend this venue to anyone visiting this spectacularly beautiful region of WA.
• Hayley (8/5): - Property close to the ocean, & a short walk to a Thai restaurant. Property is 2 story with living upstairs and beds downstairs. Had full size washing machine and dryer Bbq on the upstairs balcony. Bedding was clean and high quality & property was clean and tidy. Highly recommend
• NormanG497 (8/5): Great location - Great location just off the coast...watch out for the sharks just off the jetty! Villas are very comfortable and located close to some very good restaurants. Check in was a bit chaotic as the onsite office was closed. Otherwise very comfortable and peaceful.

Booking, checking in ,checking out was super easy Location was also great as we were able to walk to town, pubs, and pier. Amenities in the apartment were also very good, crockery, cutlery and utensils, washing machine was EXCELLENT. The only issue is that all of Esperance has very slow internet. It was not the apartment, it was slow all over town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay what a lovely part of WA , all the people in the town were friendly and helpful.

• TREVOR (10/5): Esperance gem! - Worth every star of the reviews! We had a spacious, very comfy 2 bed unit - well equipped, great beds, fast free wifi and all amenities. The location is perfect, being less than a kilometre walk to restaurants etc. Just a warning if you have mobility issues, our unit had the living area upstairs and bedrooms downstairs - not an issue for us, but maybe for some! The view of the bay from our window was superb.

An easy and informative check-in, and everything was in good working order (other than spa which we couldn't get the engine to work) and very comfortable. Nice bay views through the window and upstairs deck. Easy walking to the shops, pubs and restaurants. Highly recommended!

• Kay (8/5): - We were in one of the front small houses for two. The view is lovely but the road between the house and the foreshore is noisy from early in the morning. Amenities were good, although not generous on the bathroom provisions. There is a lot of glass, which is nice for the views, but you have to keep the bedroom blind closed permanently so that the house behind can’t see you! The shops close earlier in Esperance that you might think, so be prepared if you are arriving later in the day. The bay, the surroundings are further afield are just gorgeous.
