My husband doesn’t like to put his card info on the internet so I put in mine, while I’m on the phone with someone from the hotel I ask her if it’s ok if I put my card info in but we pay for the room with my husbands card when we get there. She says ‘yes that’s fine, as long as we have a card to reserve the room then she says I’ll put this in the notes.’ She tells us thank you and they will see us soon! We live 2 hours away. Friday, as we are getting closer to our hotel I open my email to see that they not only canceled our reservations but gave our room away!! So I call to confirm this. The gentleman on the phone says ‘yes they are cancelled but you can upgrade for a different price! I told him No, that was on the hotel! He then tells us we can upgrade to a deluxe king for the same price, but not until we were told ANOTHER lie…after we swiped our card to pay for our ‘upgraded’ room, he then said “we didn’t have a king, so we got you into a deluxe double queen, is that ok?” I guess it was ok since we swiped our card already! The room stunk like cigarettes, the hallways even smelled horrible! The sheets on the beds weren’t on correctly, and they were uncomfortable! We will definitely not be staying there again!!

Munchies daiquiri was delicious!! I wish they would consider having a restaurant for breakfast Monday through Friday. Instead of only Saturday and Sunday.?!

• shaydriemed (4/5): Definitely NOT as exquisite as advertised - The hotel advertise as being renovated, esthetically pleasing, and exquisite but they definitely do NOT meet those standards. My stay was for ONE night on August 21st, 2025.........and I could not imagine staying another day as these are the things we encountered initially: -Room 201: room had a broken shower head which deemed the shower head only useable if you hand held it to take a shower (not) but the other option was to take a bath which I don't do in any hotel. -Room 203: room had 1 out of 2 beds that had lots of long strands of hair and crumbs in it as if someone didn't change the sheets or someone took a nap and/or break in the room while "cleaning" it. -Room 515: this room was supposed to be an "upgrade" from the rooms on the 2nd floor...it was NOT!!!! The room looked almost identical to the rooms on the 2nd floor. There was a knife on the floor that housekeeping missed. There was residue left in the toilet so the toilet was deemed as not being cleaned. The water coming from the shower had an odor. -There were also some guys who checked in right behind me who had complaints: their room was supposed to have double beds but had only one bed. We changed rooms THREE times in the first 30 minutes of being at the hotel. This is unacceptable. The whole management team needs to be replaced/fired as they are not governing over these employees and rooms to make sure they meet certain standards of high expectations. Luckily, it was late and I only paid $80 (discount found online) because I was almost tempted to just sleep in my vehicle. DEFINITELY a 4/10.......would not want to stay here again unless it was FREE and then I would still have reserves.

• sally (4/5): Don’t book it - Room was terrible! Dirty shower, floor chair and lobby. Outdoor area had two benches that had ant mounds everywhere, couldn’t sit without ants climbing on you. Bathroom had no nighttime illumination. Won’t stay their again

• William (8/5): - Everything smelled like cigarette smoke, even the room which is non smoking, which I guess is to be expected in a casino. The smoke just goes everywhere. Room was dark at night, especially the bathroom. Lighting could be improved. Bed was very comfy and everything was clean. I usually complain about low water pressure in the shower but this place was just the opposite. The shower head spray was like little needless stinging since it had so much pressure. Maybe a shower head with an adjustable spray. No breakfast on weekdays. Food was nothing special but the little snack bar was nice. It was fun for our one night stay but if your sensitive to cigarette smoke or asthmatic then don’t stay here!

• ibjuscoolin1 (2/5): Smokefilled casino hotel - Traveled from Houston TX to Tallulah LA, for a family members funeral and this was the closest 3 star hotel in the area. I pre booked the hotel prior to arriving, the reviews stated there was a hotel entrance and a casino entrance. Upon arrival I was very disappointed to find that the entrances are not quite separate, both lead past the casino which allows smoking. Needless to say that there was no way to avoid the smoke filled atmosphere. I immediately informed the desk clerk I would not be staying because of the misinformation regarding the separate entrances and that my allergies could not tolerate the smoke in the air. She said she couldn't do the refund, but her supervisor will be in the office the next day 6/19/25. I went back the next day to inquire about the refund for my 4 day reservation. The clerk said that she had a note from the supervisor stating that the refund had been issued except for 1 day because of their cancelation policy. Again I explained that I prebooked the hotel based on the misinformation on their website and because of health reasons I couldn't stay there. The request for the full refund fell on deaf ears, my only option will be to report them to the BBB and let others know about the misinformation they present on their website! CONS: Dismall customer service and the front desk, there is no way to avoid a smoke filled atmosphere, they try to mask it, but it's prevalent. There are no rooms in this hotel that actually overlook the Mississippi River this too is misleading the rooms are also dismal and dated, it's a 2 star hotel in a smoke filled casino. There is No Pool, No exercise room. PROS: is a smoker gambler addicts paradise..

The casino was okay (I don't like electronic games) and the room was clean but I have stayed in better hotels. It was sufficient for what we needed - a place to sleep before traveling home.

• Nicole (10/5): Stay here if you visit Vicksburg - This was by far the friendliest, cleanest, nicest, best hotel we stayed at for our entire 10 day trip. At check in, the receptionist asked if we wanted a higher floor, which of course we do! And she put us on top with a great view of the river at sunset. The room was huge, clean, and super comfy. When the gentleman at the door saw us loaded down with luggage, he opened the door for us, so we didn't struggle with our bags. Everyone said hello whenever we passed through.
