Camila (9/5): Gran lugar para hospedarse en Santa Cruz - Sonia fue un 7 con nosotros en todo momento, es muy amable y atenta. De verdad que nos sentimos como en casa! El precio/calidad estuvo bien y los desayunos ricos y contundentes, para empezar el día con toda la energía. Gracias por las recomendaciones y el cariño!!! Queda un poco alejado de la calle y muelle principal, pero la verdad es que es totalmente caminable. Por otro lado, sería bueno reforzar ventanas para los momentos de mucha lluvia.

Aleksandra (6/5): Hotel na jedną noc żeby się przespać. - Przyjemny hotel na jedną noc i nic więcej. Może pokoje na piętrze są lepsze i dają większy komfort. W pokoju na parterze zaduch, zapach wilgoci, mrówki chodzące po stoliku nocnym. Daleko od centrum. Śniadanie mikroskopijne. Musieliśmy wyjechać rano na lotnisko przed godziną podania śniadania, nie zaproponowano nam nawet suchej bułki na drogę pomimo, że śniadanie żartem dzień było opłacone i w cenie pokoju.

Besonders Sonia hat mit ihrer außergewöhnlichen Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft überzeugt. Sie hat sich wirklich viel Mühe gegeben, unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Auch das Frühstück war sehr gut. Sonia war dabei stets aufmerksam, hat alles liebevoll vorbereitet und uns sogar Nachschlag angeboten. Das war wirklich eine sehr nette Geste. Außerdem hat sie sich um unseren Flughafentransfer gekümmert und uns sogar einen Rabatt organisiert, ohne dass wir danach gefragt hatten. Das fanden wir besonders zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. In unserem ebenerdigen Zimmer gab es kleine Ameisen, was für uns jedoch kein großes Problem darstellte und vermutlich der Lage geschuldet war.

Quarto escuro, apertado, pessima distribuiçao dos moveis e com vista para os fios do poste da rua. Não recomendo esse quarto, decepcionei pois havia outros mais barato e melhor.

Zlata (8/5): Good enough, but not excellent. - I appreciated the friendliness of the person in charge. Breakfast was also good; it wasn't a buffet, but they served enough to leave you satisfied. The bed was large, everything was very clean, and there was a pitcher of drinking water available in the room, with the option to refill your own water bottle whenever you wanted. They also provided clean towels and liquid soap in the bathroom. The location is far away from the center and the view is not good. You have to walk about 8 blocks to get to the most fun spot in town.. and, you have to carry your luggage up the stairs.

Randy (9/5): Wonderful location, clean rooms and fabulous breakfasts made this a perfect place to stay! - The manager (owner?) was so helpful! He assisted us in every way. There are stairs to the room but we were assisted with our luggage. The breakfasts were amazing! Definitely worth adding on the breakfast. Everything was presented so beautifully and so much food! Our host helped us with directions and suggestions on where to go. He was always available if we needed anything. The location was within walking distance to all of the shops/restaurants. Not much of a view, but we weren't in the room for views...comfort and cleanliness were perfect. I would have liked a more secure safe but we were not uncomfortable with the security. Again, the views were not great but we did love the location and the excellent service.

Caroline (10/5): - The hotel manager was so helpful and great! Great location, where it was nice and quiet but could walk everywhere we needed to go. Bed was very comfortable and had plenty of blankets and pillows. Honestly loved our stay here and would highly recommend.

Taxi sjåføren fulgte oss hele veien og betale båt til Baltra og buss til flyplassen. Verten snakker godt engelsk.kort vei ned til handlegaten. Fullstendig sikkert og gå hjem på kvelden. Kommer ikke på noe akkurat nå.

Daniel (10/5): Great stay with lovely helpful and polite staff. - The hotel was great, close to the main area in Puerto Ayora. The man at reception was great, very friendly and helpful as well as great English. The breakfast was good and in a nice area. My flight was later than my checkout time and I was able to leave my luggage safely at the hotel so I did not have to walk around with it. The room was spacious and very clean. The cleaners made the bed and room great every time. Overall a great stay with lovely staff.

Marie (10/5): Exceptional - The location was good. The room was very, very clean. The hotel is good value for money. It is just a short walk to the main strip. Unfortunately, people allow pets to do their business and do not pick up after their pets. The location of the hotel is not far from the main strip, but far enough for us to experience people's lack of due diligence in picking up after their pets. Not the hotel's fault but there are not many hotels on the main strip so our experience may have been the same even if we were at a different hotel.

Every day, the host, Sonia, would offer me fresh fruits, whole-grain bread, tea, granola, and yogurt. She was very attentive, making sure I was well-fed. The hotel is located a short distance from the main center. Galapagos has many side streets, and the hotel is one of them. But the host Sonia is so pleasant that she makes up for anything.

MEMET (10/5): - Note that this review is based on a father and 5yr old son travelling in the Galapagos Islands. We booked several nights here and it was one of the best choices we made. The hosts helped us on numerous occasions with advice, guidance, collected us from the ferry, and booked our taxi for the airport. The room provided was spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable and firm which was just what we needed upon our return from our daily tours. It is not far from the seafront and main street. There is a laundry on the corner, which was very convenient, and a lot of local shops, and nice cafes down the road. We would definitely stay there again.

Priscila (3/5): I will definitely never stay in this hotel if I were to come back to Santa Cruz. - Location We were given a room next to the laundry room all the way in the back of a patio. We only stayed for one night, but if we would have stayed longer this would have definitely been a horrible experience. Though we paid $81 for this back room. Additionally, when making the reservation, we were asked whether we wanted a transfer to the hotel, quoting $70 for the transfer, when in fact it costs $25 + $5 bus +2.5 child bus+ 2 boat, total $39.5. Hence, it would have meant a $30.5 overcharge. They wanted to charge an extra $10 per person if we wanted breakfast.

But the extraordinary at Hotel Palace is the staff: All staff members were really helpful and friendly. They helped us with planning day tours and transfers and had good recommendations for restaurants, bars and activities. We could leave our luggage while we were some nights on another Island. The breakfast was freshly and lovely prepared every morning, even when we needed to leave before official breakfast time. We very enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel strongly for your stay at Galapagos!

Victoria (6/5): Worked for a night. - The property communicated well and quickly. They arranged transport which was waiting for us. They were close to town. We booked two separate rooms. One was the king we had booked and one was a double bed. The double was too small to be comfortable for two people. There was also a problem where they overcharged us (which they brought to our attention, bonus) but then rather than refund the difference, they refunded everything which takes 10 days and then recharged.

Sandra (10/5): Good option - Staff was amazing. Very helpful and wanted to make sure your needs were met. Always hot showers and good working air conditioning. Appreciated the water in the lobby to refill bottles and they even put a jug in each room too. Location was a bit outside the central area but we always walked it, even in dark and it was safe. It was only like a 10 - 15 minute walk. We took a cab from the ferry with our luggage and it was only $2. They booked us a cab to go to the airport ferry for us. Very prompt in responding to emails and I had a lot of questions so very patient too!

Simran (10/5): lovely and good value for money 😊 - Clean large bedroom, comfortable bed, nice breakfast consisting of eggs how you desire, toast, bread with jam and butter, fruit and yoghurt with coffee/ tea/ juice. The room was quiet and had AC which meant it was comfortable all the time. The bathroom was nice with a bath and a shower but could do with slight updating. You had to wait a little for hot water but that is normal on the island so wasn’t a problem. The staff were very friendly The location is very good being just a 7/8 minute walk from the main high street and sea. I feel I could have been offered more information about tours and what to prioritise seeing on my short stay, but other than that everything was very good :)

Scott (10/5): Great place to stay. - The hotel is in a nice quiet residential neighborhood, yet very walkable to restaurants and shops. The wifi was fast and dependable. The bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning worked well which was welcome each day after a day out. We chose not to spend the additional $8 a day for breakfast. The room was very clean! The staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing lacking was guidance on places worth visiting while on the island of Santa Cruz, although a recommendation was made by Julio for a travel agent we could contact. Overall, Hotel Palace is a great place to stay.
Raluca (9/5): Superb - The hotel room was clean and spacious. While the breakfast started one hour after we checked out (we had a very early start) staff offered to prepare a lunch bag (sandwich, a fruit and a juice). Everything was okay. The hotel was a little bit far from the centre but we were aware when we booked it.
Cecilia (9/5): It’s a great stay and we were very comfortable. - I like the location and the comfort of the room. The girl go out her way to cook early breakfast for us since we need to be early for our tours. The wifi was kind of slow I think the whole island from what I hears.

Albert (5/5): Nice place but there were lots of ants in our bathroom - Comnfy beds & bedding Ants in bathroom. Felt the price for the room was overpriced for the area.
