- Nele (6/5): - The hotel is a bit dated and our room could have done with some extra cleaning, but it was big, the bed was comfy and the mini-fridge was nice. The bath looked liked it had spa functionalities but the start button no longer worked. The self-cleaning functionality did still work, which startled us the first time (loud noises about half an hour after use). We were happy that the outdoor pool was still open. Most of staff was great, helpful and friendly; except for the lady at check out who had trouble with entering the payment of the previous guests and had an attitude whilst trying to overcharge me for drinks. This left a sour taste in our mouths. We will likely visit the beautiful lake and forrest again, but will choose a different hotel next time.
- Erika (4/5): - The spa and recreation fscilities are actually quite nice. Where the hotel falls flat are the outdated rooms and subpar dining experience. This hotel is sorely in need of room upgrades - it's obvious the bathrooms, carpeting and beds have not been replaced in probably 40 years. The mattresses are VERY firm and the exhaust fan in our bathroom did not work making for a very stuffy, humid and hot room with limited airflow. We also decided to have dinner at the hotel our first night as we arrived in the evening but the only option they serve is their "menu of the day" which is a preset 3 course meal with no other options available. The dinner was not very good either with weird combinations of flavors like smoked salmon with guacamole and mango puree served on a stale loaf of bread. Very bizarre dining experience and we did not eat any other meals there during our 3 night stay. The WiFi also did not work at all in our room for our entire stay. My husband had to take an important work call over Zoom on our second night but was unable to connect to the internet so he had to take the call in the middle of the hotel lobby where other guests were talking and music was playing. The positive notes were that staff were very nice and helpful, and the location of the hotel is convenient along with the nice spa and gym on site. We did relax in the saunas after a long day of hiking which was a highlight for us.

- Alisha (8/5): - Fantastic spa and sauna amenities. Breakfast was expensive and the food had zero taste. You can only eat dinner here if you book it in advance - so overall would not recommend eating here. Rooms are large and comfy with decks, good views from every room.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Was probably a nice hotel once but now it is very old and need a great "make over". The staff was extremely rude and had an attitude. We found rotten fruit in the refrigerator. And the faucet was so limed that you got wet when you turned it on.

- Karolien (8/5): - Prachtig charmant hotel gelegen op een heuvel, je hebt er een heel mooi uitzicht en het centrum van echternach is op wandelafstand (20-25 min). Onze kamer was ruim en netjes, het is wat verouderd maar nog zeker in orde en dat gaf het echt wel charme! Het bed lag zalig, de donsdekens zijn wel vrij kort, voor mij (165cm) was het lang genoeg maar mijn vriendin (171cm) haar voeten staken er onder uit.. Het zwembad en de sauna waren fantastisch, het personeel is ook heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Enkel het ontbijt viel tegen, het was basic, op zich zeker alles wat je nodig hebt maar ik miste warme elementen zoals spek en ei (hiervoor moet je bijbetalen). De ramen in de ontbijtzaal stonden wagenwijd open en er kwamen zo veel wespen binnen, wat ik absoluut niet leuk vind als ik probeer te eten en aangevallen word door wespen 😅
- Nina (6/5): - It’s like travelling back in time at this hotel. Cute old hotel, that hasn’t been refurbed for quite a long time. It needs a hand in a lot of places, but still has the charm. Cleaning wasn’t great, found old crumbs on the carpet. The radiator was very noisy and woke me up every morning at 6 with banging noises. Was told they were aware and trying to fix it, but did not mention this at check-in.
- Elke (10/5): - Hotel is goed onderhouden. De bedden hebben matrassen van een hoge kwaliteit. Kamers zijn zuiver en alles werkt, geen gebreken kunnen ontdekken. Zwembad is een meerwaarde. Het binnenbad is het hele jaar geopend, het buitenbad zou eigenlijk pas in juli open gaan. Wij zijn in juni geweest, het buitenbad was geopend wat heerlijk was gezien de tropische trmperaturen. Het mooie grote terras heeft een prachtig uitzicht op het dal en het stadje.
- Casey (8/5): - We loved the pool area, but were disappointed not all the saunas and steam areas seemed to be working. The wellness area had outdated workout equipment but we loved the options for racquetball and ping pong. Getting here is a hassle if you don’t have a car. There is a grocery store and little toy shop very close to the hotel (but you’ll have to walk your groceries up hill to get back to the hotel without a car - Just a warning since we saw some unhappy faces as we drove past them). We loved the pool table downstairs in the bar and our balcony was spacious with great views. It seemed by the overall look of the hotel that it was luxurious back in its day of maybe the 80s or 90s. I didn’t mind it at all and would stay here again!

- Lis (8/5): Flot men koldt. - Flot hotel i rolige omgivelser. Stort dejligt værelse, der dog var bitterligt koldt. Vi havde ikke mulighed for at bruge swimmingpool mm pga vores egne planer. Dejlig morgenmad, der dog var til extra pris.

Badjas, badhanddoek en badslippers beschikbaar gesteld door het hotel. Helaas geen diner optie wegens afwezigheid van de kok. Zeer hulpvaardig personeel (ook bij het kiezen van een restaurant). Giftbag bij checkout.
- Matthias (8/5): - Zimmer groß und sauber.Leider war der Koch krank,deshalb mußten wir immer auwärts zum Abendessen.Der abendliche Barbetrieb war auch nicht prickelnd,da wir unsere Getränke beim Concierge bestellen mußten(kein Personal?).Frühstück ausreichend,vielfältig.Sollte aber gleich im Angebotspreis enthalten sein.25 Euro pro Person zu hoch.Personal nett freundlich.

- Edith (6/5): - Netjes en schoon. Maar alles is op aanvraag. Er is een bar maar geen bar. Je moet bellen en dan komen ze een drankje brengen. Geldt ook voor de sauna. Gaat aan als je er om vraagt. Er is een restaurant maar niet echt. 5x per week is er 1 menu. 2 dagen dicht. Dus...meer dan prima voor je rust. Gezelligheid moet je hier niet zoeken.
- Ronny (2/5): charges for items you didn’t receive - Be very careful with this hotel! The hotel was a nice resort style place, although the rooms are a bit dated. The surprise came after my credit card was charged 300 euro for 12 breakfasts. I stated that we want to hold off on breakfast at checkin. The email reply from the hotel stated that if we don't specifically state that we didn't have breakfast on checkout they will charge for this. They didn't ask us if we had breakfast on checkout but charged my credit card, and stated that there is "nothing they can do" about the charge. Thus this amounts to a fraudulent charge. I am working with my bank to reverse this charge now....

- Dirk (10/5): - Überaus freundliches Personal, man fühlt sich wie in einem alten S-Klasse Mercedes. Luxus, ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen aber keinesfalls verstaubt. Liebevoll eingerichtet und gut in Schuss. Schön gelegen, schnell zu Fuß in der Stadt, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. W-Lan ist genauso langsam wie ich es von Zuhause gewohnt bin. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt.

- Richard (10/5): Great long weekend getaway - Fantastic location with a lot of amenities. The view from the patio and balcony is amazing. The interior is a little dated but clean and comfortable and the staff is very friendly.

Breakfast nice, but not spectaculaire. The view and the pool is great. Close to the town. Nice town Wouldn't book it again for € 240,00 pro night. Expected more!

- Gérard (8/5): Sacré Paquebot... et gentillesse. - Accueil très attentif, gentillesse et professionnalisme du personnel impécables. Lieu et infrastructure juste incroyables en taille et d'espaces dédiés...salons, salles de restaurant, terrasse, sauna...salle de sport. Le truc, c'est que cela date des années 80. Bien entretenu, mais très viellot. Malgrès tout, moment très sympathique grace à la gentillesse et attention du personnel, avec un service "à l'ancienne", très attentif. Nous y retournerons sans doute. Mais appleler pour savoir si les saunas et restaurants sont ouverts... Là, le restaurant est fermé tout l'été. L'hiver, petit déjeuner froid uniquement. Sacré beau paquebot qui a dû être sompteux. Nostalgie, quand tu nous tient...
- Erik (10/5): - Vriendelijke mensen, het geheel was ouderwets maar superschoon. Jammer dat het zwembad dicht was (het was 30 graden). Prima prijs kwaliteits verhouding! De kamers zijn enorm!
- yves (2/5): Une catastrophe... - Une catastrophe. A 23h les clients de la chambre au dessus de moi ont mis en route leur jacuzzi, avec un bruit/vibration énorme résonnant dans ma chambre. Il a fallu un certain temps avant de comprendre ce que c'était. Le desk n'a pas répondu au téléphone avant plusieurs essais. Il aura fallu rappeler une seconde fois le réceptionniste en menaçant de me fâcher pour que le bruit cesse à quasi 00h00. Le lendemain, personne à la réception n'était au courant. Aucune proposition de compensation ou autre... à part quelques excuses.. La pire nuit dans un hôtel de toute ma vie ! Certes, le "cadre" est peut-être 5 étoiles, la salle de petit-déjeuner très agréable et le buffet achalandé, mais servir des croissants et pains au chocolat industriels, durs comme des cailloux, ça non plus je n'avais jamais vu !
- martin (6/5): - The property is has panoramic views from every direction- it is a very clean and tidy property but the room we had was poor and certainly did not warrant a 5 star rating., the room had no air conditioning or ventilation of any kind other than opening the balcony door (which would not stay open on its own)- the bathroom had a glass see through door without any lock therefore no privacy within the room and no extractor fan or any for of ventilation. The wood frame double bed had two single mattress's which tended to leave a gap. The leisure facilities were good as was the gym. The bar never opened durring our stay.It was not worth the money charged.

- Nina Ulf (6/5): Ingen valuta for pengene - Den gamle hovedbygning trænger til fornyelse. Badeværelset var ikke rengjort tilfredsstillende. Wc’et var beskidt, der var snavs i badekarret og der stod en lille, brugt efterladt shampoo-flaske på kanten af badekarret. Vandtemperaturen i brusenichen var umulig at regulere. Det tog mere end 5 minutter før der kom varmt vand ud af bruseren, hvorefter det var nærmest umuligt at få koldt vand!! Samlet set ikke pengene værd.

- Nina (10/5): Lovely retreat - This is a fun hotel, feels like throwback luxury. It is a bit outdated but in a very charming way. The food is high quality and they take service quite seriously. We enjoyed the spa amenities and we had a room with a beautiful view. The room was large and comfortable enough to spend lots of time in, which was great on rainy days.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Mooie locatie in Echternach - Zwembad, spa, ontbijt de moeite waard. Kamer met park view was gedateerd, bed was prima, maar een en ander moest gerepareerd en vervangen worden. Als je het geld hebt, kies city view. Heb betere kamers gehad voor minder geld.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect long-weekend getaway - Staff at the hotel were kind and helpful. The room was much larger than expected and the location of the hotel up top of a hill is great! I chose the hotel because of its pool but everything else about it turned out just as enjoyable.

- SANDRA (10/5): Séjour très agréable - Nous avons passé un super séjour dans cet établissement très spacieux. Idéal autant en couple qu'en famille. L'accueil est au top ! Les structures sportives et bien-être sont très bien entretenues. Les chambres sont très confortables malgré une déco à remettre au goût du jour. Seul petit bémol, il faisait très froid dans le couloir qui mène aux activités.

- Frans Jan (10/5): Aanrader - Een mooi hotel in traditionele stijl. Zeer rustig gelegen. Personeel heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Zeer schoon. Ruime kamers. Ontbijt is uitstekend in een eetzaal met prachtig uitzicht. Restaurant is wat prijzig maar heel geode kwaliteit. Echternach is circa 20 minute lopen. Hotel heeft fietsen ter beschikking. 2 restaurants en een winkelcentrum op 5 minute lopen.
- frank (8/5): séjour en couple - hôtel qui a de très grands atouts (piscine,sauna,hammann,salle de sport),petit déjeuner très correct,personnel sympa,environs magnifique.repas pas testé. par contre très grosse erreur sur la chambre. j'ai pris une suite junior,qui est très grande et très propre; mais meublé très moche (mais les gouts et les couleurs!).chambre extrèmement vétuste.lit king-size (super) mais deux couettes séparés de 90 x180 cm, donc impossible d'être sous la couette(trop petite et trop chaude pour la saison) , un oreiller par lit, de mauvaise qualité.quand à la salle de bain :catastrophique,date des années 1980 , toute rose avec bidet et petite douche rajouté au bout de la baignoire rose aussi! comme tout le reste. après demande auprès de la réception, seule les chambres standarts ont étaient refaites. donc dommage,quand ont voit les infrastructures extérieures magnifiques et la chambre ,la fonction première est quand même d'être un hôtel!! donc y venir,sans problème dans une chambre standart rénové et tout sera super.

- Matt (8/5): Nice spa hotel - Stayed just for one night in August on way to Grand Prix. This is a nice spa type hotel, facilities in the spa were exceptional. Would have been good to stay longer and take full advantage of the facilities, but overall a great hotel.

- hedwig (8/5): beetje ouderwets maar prima hotel - Het hotel is een beetje ouderwets ingericht, maar het is heel netjes. De kamer die wij hadden is heel ruim, er zat zelfs een zithoek in. Er werd een extra bed neergezet en nog hadden we ruimte genoeg over. De badkamer was ook ruim genoeg, aparte douche en apart bad. De wc zat ook in een aparte ruimte. Het buitenzwembad was zeer prettig met deze warme temperatuur, ook het binnenbad was prettig. Er waren ook saunaruimte's beschikbaar. Het hotel ligt wel bovenop een berg met uitzicht over echternach en over het meer van echternach.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel with a French flair - Great view from. The terrace over lake and Eschenach . Nice pools in and out ! Room are nice and comfortable beds . Only down side no air conditioning so with recent heat at 30C + we struggle to get the room cold overnight. But nice view at breakfast.

- John (8/5): Lovely place, no people! - Booked a spa hotel as driving from Italy to UK and thought it would be lovely to use facilities when I got here, arrived later than anticipated, hotel is very very quiet indeed and the spa was closed! Hotel staff were very kind and helpful and made me feel very welcome indeed. I imagine it’s wonderful here later in season when there are more than a handful of guests
- Dave (8/5): Top notch - Absoltely great place. A pleasant walk to the town. Close to walking trails as well. Even walked to Germany for an evening meal one night!. Hotel spotless with amazing sauna facilities. Best of all, we left something of value and they posted it to the UK free of charge and would not accept any reimbursment.
- Christine (6/5): Hotel to celebrate our anniversary. - The Hotel rooms are quite small for 2 people however they were very clean. The bathrooms have been upgraded to a very high standard which then makes the rooms stand out as a little old fashioned. The pillows are very soft and in fact disappear the moment you put your head on them so I requested an extra pillow which the staff immediately supplied but I probably needed a third. The staff were very friendly and always attentive. The spa and pools were excellent and the gym was well equipped. The restaurant was a little on the pricey side and the chef was not as flexible as I would have expected given the price but the food we ordered was very good but I could have purchased and eaten cheaper for the same quality somewhere else. I would definitely stay again at the hotel but would eat at the local rest in the local towns as they were excellent quality and value for money. very good hotel all in all.
