Guest Reviews
- Robert P (6/5): - Not quite what we expected. It was clean and the host was very helpful
- Bernd (10/5): - Die Unterkunft ist unbeschreiblich schön. Gastgeber Robert sehr sympathisch und extrem hilfsbereit.
- Utkarsh (10/5): A memorable stay - I totally loved my stay.. River is right there.. Beautiful landscapes.. Well maintained property... Bbque equipment was an icing on the cake.. Lovely staircase to go to river and a personal deck access... Robert is amazing. He ensures everything is good.. He checked on us personally about if we need anything.. He gave suggestions on how we can spend our day.. Just excellent...
- Anthony (10/5): - Excellent host and beautiful property by the Clearwater River. All the amenities you could wish for. Plenty of space to enjoy inside or out. Great covered deck overlooking the River. Great place to stay.
- Lynnette (10/5): - Beautiful property backing onto the Thompson River.
Nice and Clean, and had everything you need to enjoy a nice little getaway. I would definitely be recommending this little gem to all my friends and family.
- Michael (10/5): - Quiet
- Jean-Rock (10/5): La cabane au Canada - Excellent!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The property has the most beautiful porch/setting and is immaculately clean. The problem is the bed. There is one queen size bed stuck in a corner. You only have access to one side of the bed and there is no ventilation in the sleeping room. There is a vent, but it has little effect. The bed is very soft and uncomfortable.
Also, the bath tub is raised about ten inches and is difficult to get in. Anyone with limited mobility would certainly struggle in this rental. Owners and location are great. Comfort, not so much.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved the atmosphere! Cozy and relaxing. Only suggestion is to have a small night table on the other side also.
- Anonym (10/5): - Super Lage, nette unkomplizierte Gastgeber, Zimmer sehr sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Top.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A tranquil oasis next to the river. Huge lounge area big kitchen and big comfy bed. Front and back porches, one with superb view of the river below. Completely secluded and peaceful location. Adventure available from the owners raft and kayak Company on the river below with grade 4 rapids. A perfect retreat from hectic travels around the Icefield. Loved it!
- Angela (8/5): Cute Cabana - The Cabana is really quite a tiny space, but very cute and had all we needed. We enjoyed using the front porch of an evening. A great place to stay and enjoy Clearwater Provincial Park.
- F (10/5): - We stayed in the cabana, which was a really nice rustic cabin that was basically on the Clearwater river. It was well cared for, private, and very well equipped with everything required for basic cooking or BBQing. There are numerous really nice touches throughout, and the owners are extremely accommodating and helpful. We also went on a whitewater rafting trip through Robert's other business, and it was a great time. Its an excellent place to stay, with great access to Wells Grey park.
- Doug (10/5): Cosy cabana near the river - We chose this cabana for a two-night stay before starting a Wells Gray hiking tour. The cabana is well-maintained, well-equipped, and comfortable for a couple. We were absolutely delighted with it.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cabana is cute and nice for a couple - My husband and I stayed in the Cabana for 2 nights which, though very small, has everything one would need, including well-equipped cooking and BBQ-ing facilities. The location is very quiet and quite beautiful, close to the river, and with a very nice outdoor patio.
- Verified traveler (10/5): We loved the cabana - We loved our stay at the cabana, it was quaint and has everything you need! We were surprised upon arrival that we had to pay cash for the visit (not a big deal just a heads up) and I wish they had better window coverings for the mornings you want to sleep in, the sun rises so early,
- Jenn (10/5): Perfect little get away - Great little spot to rest and relax while enjoying the park.
- Gert (8/5): Nice cabana at a beautiful location - Our hosts Robert and Liana are very friendly and warm people, who took care for us.
- will (8/5): Very good value, rustic basic cottage - We had a very pleasant stay at a private cottage. Riverfront 70 steps down.
The proprietors were wonderful, they looked after our every need. We were their first guests and they made sure they provided what amenities we needed.
Don't go there if you demand luxury, the cottage is very basic and can be a little cramped when cooking and washing up. What more than makes up for that is the setting and support from the owners. Chairs were provided so we could sit in the river and watch the rafters float by.
