- XAGTKate (10/5): Charming B & B with everything you could possibly want. - Kurrajong House is a charming B & B surrounded by gorgeous gardens, full of beautiful furniture and genuine antiques with the hosts, Linda and Andre, being the loveliest couple who obviously love what they do. The property is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, and Linda's friendly disposition and wicked sense of humour makes you feel instantly welcome. We stayed 2 nights during our stay in Launceston, with a cooked breakfast both mornings that set us up perfectly for our sightseeing. Included in your stay, you can have a full cooked breakfast, cereals, toasts, fresh fruit and home-made yoghurt, tea, coffee and juice. We were seated with other guests one morning and it was nice to share travelling stories with other people. Our room was plush and comfortable, with an ensuite and tea and coffee making facilities, wine glasses and a small mini bar selection. We purchased a bottle of Jansz Sparkling Wine and drank it on the sun-drenched terrace outside while planning our day's activities. Situated a short - but steep downhill - walk from Launceston, it is an interesting, convenient option for those not wanting to stay in just another boring motel.

- i_m_tours (10/5): Excellent B&B - My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights recently and thoroughly enjoyed our stay which in our view represented excellent value for money. The accommodation was excellent and the breakfasts were absolutely first class. The best thing however was the hosts Andre and Linda were perfect hosts and could not been more helpful. In addition the banter ( light hearted chat) we had with them simply added to the enjoyment of our stay. Thoroughly recommended
- Karl (10/5): - Location: Wonderful. The property is licated in a quiet residential area with beautiful jomes. Its a short down hill walk to the city centre. Easy parking and easy to drive to from outside the city. Property: Beautiful residence with character. Suite: Rooms are nice and spacious and clean. Very comfortable for any length of stay. There is an outside area for relaxing. Breakfast: Great and i would have again. Staff: The owners/operators made our stay very pleasant with good suggestions for things to do and where to eat. They are also very funny and entertaining which made the stay that much more enjoyable. I would stay here again.

It was a little dated but very clean. No smart TV unfortunately so main stream channels only which was a drag. Very hilly location.
- KerryH1912 (10/5): Majestic B & B, the best in Launceston by far. - We had a wonderful, peaceful stay at Kurrajong house, even though we were in Launceston from the east coast for specialist medical services. Upon arrival you are greeted by the effervescent Linda and her lovely husband Andre. The gardens are manicured to perfection. The roses waft out their inviting scent and even a few of their petals snuck into our room to inspect the new arrivals and wish us greetings. The rooms are expertly cleaned, the furniture amazing. The bed so cosy you did not want to leave it. We had a garden room and I cannot recommend this one highly enough with the sun beaming in to start a new day. We even had afternoon coffee outside amongst the garden. Everything you could ever ask for is there for you in your room. It was a first for us. Next time we will make sure to take advantage of the little extras.( No health visit, just a fun visit). Don't miss out on the all inclusive breakfast and Andre's special cooked meal. The vibe is warm and welcoming. Thank you both so much.

The location was great too, close to local attractions but still quiet and peaceful. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely stay here again.

- SBR7319 (2/5): No response from owners to emails. - I have reservations for 2 rooms for December 2024 that I need to cancel because our plans have changed. I have sent 2 emails to request this but I have received no response. There was only one email on their website (info@...). I am in the US so I would prefer not to call. They advertise that you can cancel up to a day before arrival but they make it very difficult! It may be a lovely place to stay but not responding is bad business. Think twice about booking a room here! If the owners read this I hope they will respond and help with my request.

The only negative is that located at the top of a hill, but only 700 metres to city, and i was able to walk most places. Elderly may want to consider a taxi back from city.

Andre appeared as well, again welcomed us into their beautiful home, such a lovely start to our stay. We were in the Emily room, beautifully and individually decorated, with the best bed and pillows we had on our Australian adventure. The room was perfect, immaculate and spotless. But what sets Kurrajong House apart was the the warm hospitality both Linda and Andre topped off by Linda’s amazing ability to engage, inform and link guests with each other. It felt like home!

- 436cherylw (10/5): An Absolute Gem - What a fabulous place to stay in Launceston. From the moment we drove in and met Linda, we felt so welcomed. Home for 2 nights was the Adelaide Suite - so perfect in every way. A great size, comfy bed, 2 fabulous comfy chairs in the bay window and good sized bathroom. Breakfast was a real treat and Linda and Andre made all their guests feel so welcome and special. The Friday night recommendation of fish and chips from a visiting van - ‘Sailor’ was fabulous. We ate in the court yard at Kurrajong with our wine to accompany our meal- beautiful. Loved Linda’s humour- perfect hosts. We would definitely recommend and stay again when visiting Launceston.

- Difromsouthsea (10/5): Great stay - This hotel is situated a short walk away from the centre of Launceston, and though the path is rather steep we did it several times! The hotel itself is lovely and full of character - it certainly deserves its high rating on Tripadvisor. Our hosts Linda and André were delightful - they made us very welcome. Our room was great - a very good size with a modern bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We’ll certainly stay here again when we return at some point in the future.

Beautifully decorated with luxurious linens, 4 poster bed, wingback chairs and delightful views in the room. Beautiful historic property in a picturesque part of town. Every ammenity you could think of at hand. Home made jams and yoghurt and cooked breakfast like a top end restaurant. Incredibly spotlessly clean and immaculate. One of the best stays in the world and we have travelled extensively.

- simonwL6301DM (8/5): Nice stay at Kurragong House - Stayed two nights in the Adelaide Room, which was a nice big room, traditional fit out, very clean and views to the street. The bed was big but we didn’t find it to be that comfortable. The ensuite was well sized but was at a different level to the room (step down at the door) which very nearly caused us an accident when we forgot it was there on one occasion when coming out of the ensuite. Hosts were amazing and we had one breakfast in house and one at a local restaurant. Do take note of the comments about walking into town as it is very hilly. We just drove in and always found somewhere to park. Free onsite parking was easy to use and access.

- denispN8341NX (8/5): Very comfortable 2 night stay - Accommodation was very comfortable and we were grateful that despite our very late arrival (due to flight delay) we were greeted by our hostess and shown our room and facilities. A lovely and charming setting. It is hilly and although we walked during the daytime we chose to go by car in the evening for a meal in the town. We didn't appreciate that breakfast needs to be booked in advance. We found a very nice cafe the first morning. Second morning as we wanted to leave promptly to get to Port Arther we had breakfast there. Good but quite expensive. Thank you to our hosts for the information they gave us, especially about The Wall at Derwent Bridge. An amazing place to visit and one we wouldn't have found by chance.

Linda and Adre were amazing hosts providing good local information to make the stay even better. The breakfast was amazing and Adre’s eggs so so good. Beds super comply, room very quiet and everything we needed. The only place to stay in town.
- RonandAnneX (10/5): Old world charm - This was the surprise of our trip to Tasmania from the mainland after three weeks on the road. My wife loves roses and as it is always a surprise the accommodation I book on our trips this was especially nice as we arrived just as Tasmania was in full bloom just for her. The roses at Kurrajong House and near the path outside are taken care of by the owners Linda and Andre were some of the best. Our room and bathroom was kitted out in period furniture four poster bed and all. Spent two nights here and you are welcome to use the leaving area in the main part of the house which is just as nice. We had breakfast (extra cost) with them on the last day and invited Linda to join us at the table as we talked about the past history and upkeep of the garden. We could have stayed longer talking to them but had to get on our way to Cradle Mountain. Well worth the visit and a short walk down hill into the City proper. Very friendly and welcoming hosts. - Stayed for three nights in July in the Emily Room which was very comfortable and tastefully furnished with a chandelier, lovely furniture and ornaments on the fireplace mantelpiece. There was a king sized bed (very comfortable) that had bedside tables with lamps on either side of the bed as well as a single arm chair and a two seater sofa lounge. There was a mini bar and tea and coffee making facilities located in a part of the wardrobe and a flat screen TV mounted on the wall. There was also a rectangular wall mirror. The large bathroom had a reasonably sized vanity and a walk-in shower (good pressure). The room was serviced daily and was exceptionally clean. WIFI worked well. Breakfast included both Continental (cereals, toast, fruit salad, jams and juices) and cooked (eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms and tomato) options that was served in the very light and airy conservatory. Our hosts, Andre and Linda, were very welcoming and exceptionally helpful. Free off-street parking was available. Whilst the accommodation is less than a 10 minute walk into the centre of the shopping area, that walk involves a very steep descent and a very steep and arduous climb back up to the House which is located on the top of a hill - as Andre said, the address is Hill Street. There was no view from our room.
