• John (4/5): - The price and the friendly nature of the manager. The bath room had several blow flys. We both woke with several bug bites on our lower legs.

• Graham (5/5): It was covenient for visiting the Grampians but other than that I woould not bother with Hamilton. - The only good thing going for this motel is it is way out on the very edge of town so is quiet. Because the place is way out of town on the very edge it is not well frequented. During my stay there were only two other rooms occupied as far as I could tell. How much longer the place will financially last is unknown. There were no eating facilities so you had to drive into town and even then the choice of eating places for an evening meal were limited. In fact the whole town seemed very run-down and were it not convenient to the Grampians would not be worth visiting.

• Kylie (6/5): Great price and comfortable stay. - Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful Rooms are a bit tired and it’s quite a bit out of the town centre.

• Marie (7/5): Clean and comfortable with lovely staff, for a reasonable price. - Just on the outskirts of town. So its lovely and quiet. Owners/staff are more than accommodating. Added an extra night, left room unlocked with light and heater on for our very late arrival, and offered another room for us to shower in when there was a slight drainage issue in shower. Very clean and comfortable for a very affordable price. Bed was ok but a little springy and sagged on one side a little. But nothing too bad. I don't like the tiny little milks as we have a lot of milk in our tea/coffee. My suggestion is the larger 100ml UHF milk instead. But, seriously, that's just me looking for things we didn't like. It really is good value.

Only recommend it has an AC in the bedroom of the family room. The AC in the living area does not realy enter or cool the bedroom on a 40 degree day.

• Tammy (4/5): Staff friendly, not up to the price we paid. - The local of the Motel was good. Our dinner was discussing; my hubby diner was burnt and my was cold and tasted really bad. We ordered breakfast a tray was given to us when we left the dining room after dinner. When we started to eat our breakfast in the morning it had little black insets in it.

All parts of external buildings sadly need major overhaul eg painting, new gutters etc Shower in rooms are an odd shape and need regrouting and deep cleaning.

• Shane (6/5): - Room really didn't reflect the images shown. Much smaller and extremely run down. Bathroom was pretty terrible to be honest. Mouldy, filthy dirty, paint peeling, shower had curtain only and base had no edge so it flooded room. Literally half repaired concrete with missing/broken tiling. Really unpleasant.

• Don (10/5): Arrive at your hotel with the heating already going and the kettle ready to boil up! - Imagine this, your travelling 100's of kms, the weather is as nasty as it can get and you're looking for a warm cozy place to stay at the end of the drive... Well the Bandicoot is the place, the operators are so thoughtful that they have already turned on the heater, made sure the room is ready and the kettle is ready to turn on. Doesn't get much better then that in a regional hotel folks! Nothing!

• Graeme (8/5): Comfortable stay spoilt by inconsiderate people. - Comfortable, clean exhaust fan in shower toilet area. Microwave, kettle and toaster with minimum crockery and cutlery. Parking directly infront of room. Only one hand basin in main room. Not a criticism of the motel but worth mentioning the inconsiderate contractors leaving early and leaving work vehicles idling for over 20 minutes. Todays vehicles and trucks do not require this. Thoughtless and inconsiderate!!

• Christine (8/5): short and sweet - older style property conveniently located on the edge of town. Very polite staff. would definitely stay again. Only issue was needed to fill kettle up in sink had to tip it sideways to fill it up.
