• Alison (9/5): A Palestinian welcome in Haifa - George and his family showed typical Palestinian hospitality and made me very welcome. They went out of their way to be helpful and ensure my visit was enjoyable. George was full of useful advice about places to visit and was even willing to drive me to the Bahai Gardens and ensure I knew how to walk through the different sections of it. He also assisted me with catching a train to Akko and Tel Aviv as my Hebrew is non existent and the travel smart card can be confusing. Breakfast was amazing- so generous and delicious! The room was very comfortable with a kettle for coffee and a fridge. Home from home. The only difficulty is that the guest house is above, but right next to a very busy road This makes sitting outside a less pleasant experience- although the views across the sea are beautiful. Otherwise, the location is ideal, close to Elijah's cave and the Gardens.

When he found out our luggage was delayed, he went out of his way to drive us into town to go shopping for any needs we might have and provide anything that we could need. Hospitality, at its finest!

They contact one of his friends to help us to go to akko during the Sabbath. He was very friendly as well. The room is comfortable and the view is magnificent and close to the beach. All was good.

• David (10/5): Great stay! The host’s hospitality made the stay something really special. - The location is as close to Elijah’s cave as possible. The price was fair, better than many. The owner, George Mazawwi, a real salt of the earth guy who went out of his way to be hospitable. I was generally very pleased. If I must list something, it would be that there some junk lying around the peripheries of the property. Most likely just related to work being done. This wouldn’t deter me at all from staying again.

The location is perfect, within walking distance of all major attractions in Haifa. The apartment itself is comfortable and has everything one needs.

The owner of the property is the most kind, generous human being I have ever met, he definitely makes you feel at home while staying there. The room was super clean, comfy, spacious, with a view of the Mediterranean. We loved the warm welcome we received from him upon arrival. I didn’t want my stay to end at Tamer’s guest house. I will never stay anywhere else but at Tamer’s guest house next time I am in Haifa.

• Darweash (10/5): - There are no words to explain how great Abu Tamer is . I have been everywhere. stayed In hundreds of hotels. I was never that satisfied. If you wanna feel home, abu tamer the owner is awesome he took me around, showed me the whole city. And drove me to the bus station. Rani his son is the best guy ever. I won’t be exaggerating if I say I have a family in Haifa now. Definitely recommend this family business. Next time I go to Haifa I ll be there to visit uncle Abu Rami and to hang out with Rani ❤️❤️

• Simon Andrew (10/5): An amazing stay - We spent 3 nights at Tamer with our family (couple with 4 children) during Pesach (Passover) vacation. We had a great time and will certainly return for another.. Most notably, the hospitality of George, Nabila and family was outstanding! The house gives a relaxed feeling, with a nice view of the sea. Importantly, the parking and location are very convenient. We did several walking trips from the house itself - either up to Stella Maris or down to the beach, and used the car for farther destinations. Highly recommended!

The access to the property is very hard to find, and driving into the property up the hill in a very steep and unpaved road, from a high speed highway, is very dangerous and need to be addressed. I would recommend it, and hope of some improvements/access, would make the staying there even better.
• ilya (10/5): Great views - George and his family were very friendly and even offered us some breakfast for free. Our apartment had great view of the passing ships, over the highway and a railroad line, a little noisy but with the door closed it was ok.

The only part that was difficult is that is a bit hard to find. Look for directions from george. As well, one reason we booked it was because it had laundry. The washer wasnt working and there was no dryer. Otherwise a pleasant place to stay.

• Adam (10/5): The family service makes this place great. - The family running the guest house are incredibly friendly and couldn’t do enough to help direct me to places for dinner or other littl touches which made my stay very enjoyable. After a day exploring Akko in the heat I was welcomed with a bowl of watermelon, which was much appreciated and a bottle of beer. The room was very comfortable and I would certainly stay again if I return to Haifa.
• DanaMark (8/5): ideal location - road noice could be a problem - The owners are amazingly friendly and the gardens are incredibly peaceful and cool from the heat (we went in July). The suites are cool, clean and quiet - you cannot hear people around you. The Bat Galim Windsurfing and Kite Skiing Beach (with restaurants and cafe) is a 5 minute walk over the bridge - the main Bat Galim Swimming Beach is a 15 minute walk along an clean and scenic promenade to the left with another swimming beach 15 minutes to the right. Every beach has free exercise equipment in good order available to use.The B&B is at the foot of Mount Carmel with Elijahs Cave almost next door for those who are on a faith-driven holiday, with the BaHa'i Faith compound less than a 10 minute drive. We were there for 3 nights and had a wonderfully relaxed stay. Although I think it only fair to mention that the B&B is on a very busy road and there is road noise to go with it. We found playing music quietly was enough to keep the noise at bay. It is also hard to find the entrance at first as it is nestled in a very high retaining wall. Look for the Tourist Information sign and the sign is at the actual entrance. You need to turn quickly depending on the time of day. Overall I would recommend the B&B although it is not in a the city so you need to go to night life is that what you want.
• Heather (10/5): - Could not ask for a nicer experience at a Hotel! This is a small boutique property, and George, Nabila, and Ranin treated us like family. We rented the Minerva suite, which was a comfortable living room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette with dining area. The living room was fitted out with 3 twin beds for our kids, and the master bedroom had a very comfortable king-size bed. The apartment had free wifi and air conditioning, and a private patio with dining table. Every morning we were served a huge and tasty breakfast. There is laundry available for use too. Around the side was a large terrace with views of the Mediterranean. The Tamer guest house is very centrally located, and we walked from there to many of the sites we wanted to see. Can not say enough good things about the Tamer Guest House and the warmth of George and his family. Book your stay here and you will not be sorry!

When we arrived at the Tamer my wife said, "This reminds me of our Honeymoon!" (But this one had the Mediterranean Sea view). I bet you can guess how our weekend went!! The owners are very personable and extremely helpful. we'd recommend it to anyone staying in Haifa
