• Sophie (8/5): Easy and comfortable overnight stay in Whangārei - The hotel is very close to the city centre either by walking or by transport. Check in was super easy and the staff were really friendly. The rooms looked exactly like what is in the pictures and for someone who was just staying one night it ticked all our boxes. The beds are comfy, not too soft, not too firm and the bathroom and kitchenette area was clean and tidy.

• Margie (9/5): Absolutely worth it - Very clean, had a great kitchenette with a stove, absolutely what a needed. Great location, was visiting family in hospital which was a 5min walk. Maunu shopping centre has a four square, Takeaways, chemist and a lovely cafe/bakery. Very convenient to bus stop to town, or a 15 minute walk. Laundromat is 10 minute walk. Even tho motel is on the busy main route, hardly hear traffic. Nothing really

• Kristal (5/5): Would use again if we needed too. - We got there late after 10pm and was greeted by a person - yaay. Room was clean, beds were comfy, bathroom/toilet was doable. For what we paid for and what we needed it was great. Will be a place stored away in the "back of mind" for another "just in case stay'. We weren't there long enough to find out what we didn't like.

• Waimata (8/5): - The location was suitable for our needs, the room was spacious enough and the staff were very accommodating Wanted to change room to downstairs as I didnt realize we had a room up stairs so was told to check out of our upstairs room and wait 3 hours until a dwonstairs room was availiable. We booked and paid for 4 nights but ended up checking out a day earlier as circumstances changed for us.

• Alison (8/5): perfect place to stay close to WBH - closest motel to the hospital, clean and tidy, comfy bed, smart tv, good shower, able to park an 4wd with ease a little hard to turn right out of motel during rush hour, and nose almost on road to be able to see oncoming cars, but nothing too bad

Didn't have much interaction with staff but they were all pleasant and polite. Further out of town than I expected, about 30 minutes walk and very few ubers to get back

Provided the best room for my mother with dementia & decided to stay another night👌 Also topped up our tea, coffee etc & fresh towels & sheets given. Everything needed was available. Definitely would go here again to be close to the hospital 🙏 Very nice young couple👍 Everything was great & close to all amenities 👌

• Makareta (9/5): Homely, comfortable, family friendly. - We are a family of 6, 2 adults and 4 young children. This motel catered to our needs completely. It can be quite hard for us to find one room for all of us. We got a 3 bedroom, 5 bed “house” for an exceptional price. We will definitely be booking here in the future knowing our needs will be met. The property is fenced and private, our children were able to play in the yard freely, the space inside was very spacious. No aircon, thankfully it wasn’t too hot of a day. The fans in every room were definitely comfortable during our stay though.

• Katarina (3/5): 1 week stay with a baby and 2 adults - The bed was comfortable and good location and reasonably priced There was no ventilation in the bathroom so the sealing was peeling and stayed damp which cause the shower to not be very clean specially for a toddler. The oven smoked and the microwave dirty. No chopping boards no spatula. No fire alarms in any of the rooms and a painting hanging up over graffiti. The beds were comfortable definitely a great place to stay for a night or two but we stayed for a week total and with a baby I need somewhere I can cook and not smoke out the room. Would have got a much higher rating if they had fire alarms and clean appliances

• Adrian (7/5): All in all I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, hopefully next time things may be different. - I stayed here 5 years ago when my brother at Ehangarei Hospital. This stay was similar, my sister was transferred from Kaitaia Hospital. The Motel is a minute away from the Hospital which is convenient The mattresses were too soft. Not a fan of a shower curtain. The shower floor was ever so slippery and there was no AC, highly recommended, the fan did nothing.

They seemed to have a lot of guests so that speaks favorably. There is a pool but locked up and certainly needs TLC. I would use this motel again. Clean and comfortable beds. Location was a little noisy due to nearby major intersection. Also for summer note there is no aircon.
