Liz (9/5): - This was the 2nd time we've stayed here, the apartment was clean and comfortable, excellent air-conditioning, had a minor issue with the hot water pressure which Mick and Sue got onto straight away. Mick gave us some tips when we decided to a day trip to Cooktown, both Mick and Sue very helpful and available and do a fabulous job of maintaining the apartments and surrounding gardens and pool, which makes everything more relaxing. The 2nd floor was a bit of an issue as no lift (but then again very few places do have them in Port Douglas),for the friends travelling with us as they had some mobility issues, but next time we'll ask for a ground floor apartment if they are with us.

The reception staff were very helpfull. Very close walk to the beach and about 10 minute walk to main shopping street. Maybe a few better items in kitchen if wanting to cook at the apartment like a chopping knife for vegetables.

CL (10/5): PERFECT APARTMENT AND VERY WELL MAINTAINED COMPLEX - Our apartment on the third floor (212) was spacious, clean and fully equipped. We had two balconies, one off the lounge and one off the back bedroom. We had two bathrooms and an airconditioner in each bedroom as well as one in the living area. A separate laundry room had a washing machine, tumble dryer and a drying rack with washing powder sachets. Fully equipped kitchen. The complex is small and very nicely maintained with safe parking The pool area is small but has a large undercover area with table and chairs, overhead fan, fridge and gas barbeque. Mike was very helpful and had lots of handy info for us. Easy walk to the beach via a short cut. We will definitely stay at Nautilus again. OBSERVATION, NOT DISLIKE : It's a 15 - 20 minute walk to the main restaurant/marina / shop areas. It's not far but the heat/humidity can be oppressive (if you have a car literally 2 minute drive and plenty of parking available).

My fault….. slightly further away from restaurants and shops than I thought. But if you have a car……or it’s not the hottest time of year that would be no problem. Only took about 15 mins. Had overseas visitor who didn’t t handle the heat well so should have booked somewhere closer to everything. Everything else was perfect!

paula (7/5): Nice clean and basic accommodation with great pool area and friendly staff. - Self contained unit. Very clean property and grounds very well maintained. Mike was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the area. Nice to have a few basic condiments in the pantry and a few cleaning detergents to get you started. Our bedroom window opened to the staircase so we could hear when other came in late or any early morning chats on the stairs. (Even with window closed) We could also hear upstairs neighbours moving around. Beds weren't very comfortable and 2nd bedroom bed was on wheels so moved when we moved in bed.
Jo (7/5): It was ideal for us and the value was excellent for a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment - The location was quite close to the beach and about a 10 minute walk to town and Marina which was doable. The 3 bedroom apartment was spacious and suited us and had everything we needed. Mick and Sur the hosts were also fantastic at helping us arrange airport transfers and anything else we needed.. We had smokers next door and we couldn’t sit outside or leave our door or windows open as the smoke was unbearable……really put a dampener on the stay as we couldn’t enjoy outside. The pool area was not as big as it appears in the photos and not a space you’d go to sit and relax.

Shelley (2/5): Not great. But Port Douglas is beautiful - The second unit they put us in was very nice. Lack of communication, when booking asked for a ground floor apartment and was told we were booked in a ground floor, never said it’s not confirmed, two weeks before arrival told got more bookings so had to move us, replied telling him we need ground floor as travelling with my 87 year old mother and I have trouble walking. Arrived, checked in on top floor. Then he moved us to the next floor down, which was nice but still not good. dirty couches in the first unit they put us in on the top floor. Second unit had a hair dryer that was old and exploded while my sister was using it, luckily she didn’t get electrocuted.

The staff at Nautilus Holiday Apartment were very friendly and helpful. My client had a wonderful four days in Port Douglas. There was nothing we didn't like. I do feel that solar-powered lights could go along the path to the pool. It would make it easier to walk along.

The heated pool and BBQ area was well kept. There was a beach access path across the road, and Macrossan Street was around 15min walk away.

Approximately 15 mins. walk to the supermarket, shops, and restaurants, with a Shuttle Bus only a phone call away if needed. 4 Mile Beach is just across the road. July 2025 : The pool area is perhaps a little dated and too small and crowded. Also, I personally thought the water was too warm for a refreshing swim on a hot day.

Communication with the property managers was excellent at all times, and they were extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay, providing lots of information about Port Douglas and surrounds at check in. Alfaromeo159 (8/5): Lovely - Spacious bedrooms. Location is only a 15 minute walk into the main shopping strip. A liquor store only a few doors down. Toilet main bathroom needed multiple flushes for No2s. Shower taps need resetting and/or new washers. The laundry wasker leaked sometimes. Kitchen utensils needed variation/updating: eg the pots were essentially all same size. On the main road so at night you will hear passing traffic.

Room clean and bonus washing machine...and dishwasher 😁 liked the fact we had foil, Cling wrap and baking paper as well as salt n pepper and few other condiments in fridge. No milk on arrival and maybe a few pegs to hang washing on airer.

Robert (10/5): Spotlessly clean well equipped apartment. Good location with a heated pool. - Spotlessly clean and very well equipped apartment. The heated pool was a bonus during an unusual cool spell. The shower pressure struggled a bit.
Sonya (5/5): Passable - Mick and Sue are lovely, very welcoming. The location is great making it easy to get around. Loads to do around the area Our apartment was pretty tired and in need of some love, (Sue and Mick were going to feed this back to the unit owners)

Jennifer (10/5): Clean, comfortable and ideally located units - This was an immaculately presented block of units. Helpful, friendly, and available managers. Ideal location, a short walk to the beach and town with shopping and many dining options. nothing negative to report

Nicholas (8/5): Nice stay in good location - Good sized apartment. Friendly staff. Awesome heated pool and close to the beach access. Short walk to the town centre (about 10mins for us) We used the pool multiple times and our 20 month old daughter loved it. Not many accommodations in this area have heated pools so this was great! Was a little more dated than I expected inside the apartment. Could do with a freshen up of bed/bedding and kitchen equipment.
