Guest Reviews
- Ana maria (9/5): Maravilloso - Excelente todo bueno Nada todo perfecto
- Terry (5/5): Pretty basic - The staff were lovely, especially the reception staff and cleaning staff.
Fridge in room.
Room was very clean.
Breakfast was yummy with a lot of choice. The room air conditioner was noisy and didn’t work properly. We couldn’t turn the temperature down so we had to turn it off.
The floor leaked water from odd spots. It appeared to be coming from under the tiles and smelt a bit off at times.
The little packets of soap. They are not helping the environment. Prefer it when there are pumps attached to the shower wall.
- MELISSA (10/5): Excellent stay! Clean hotel and friendly staff. Balcony view room was great. - We loved the location. It wasn’t right in town it was away just a little up more and we liked that. There was a bus stop right outside the hotel and was so easy, quick ride and cheap to get back and forth from the hotel to the main town, ferries and train. We had a balcony room looking out and was beautiful. Breakfast in the morning and very clean rooms. The staff super friendly and so helpful with questions. Right next door is a little restaurant that’s open late and was so convenient. Would definitely recommend this hotel. We really enjoyed our stay in Sorrento.

-A környező szobából a hangok eléggé áthallatszódtak.
- PAOLO (10/5): Ottimo - Buona Tutto ok

- David (10/5): Location was perfect for us nice and relaxing would recommend - Location was perfect not to far away from central very relaxing and peaceful bus stop is right in front of hotel
The breakfast was amazing great variety
- Kellie (9/5): Great Place to Stay! - Loved our huge terrace that was attached to our room. Amazing view overlooking the pool & Sorrento. Good breakfast, could have included more savoury options. Sometimes the elevator took a long time, so ended up taking the stairs.
- Catherine (4/5): Very poor 3 star holes in dinnernt part of hotel food not great place was clean - There were holes in roof in different part of hotel ,there were some tipe of towels or clothes in dinning area on window still #, it was a bit noisey digs barking and noise of aircondishing and nose of water running down pipps no wet floor signs put up when floor was wet in main hall we were told to mind outselfs the floor wet never seen a wet floor sign .breakfast needs to imporve . Food not great , tbere was a bar didnt eveing look to be a bar more like dinning area ,
- Ellis (7/5): Decent price can’t complain. - Fantastic view and a short bus journey to sorrento. Walkable aswell Slightly outdated but not horrific. Quiet aswell doesn’t seem like a mega hotel.
- rodrigo s (10/5): Tudo incrível! Hotel excelente - Ótima localização, próximo a praias lindas e a Bagni Di Regina Giovanna, podendo ir a pé em poucos minutos de caminhada. Próximo a Marina Di Puolo.
- Jackie (5/5): Okay but not great - Dining room staff were lovely. Breakfast was okay. More sweet than savoury, but coffee machines worked well. The dinner menu was basic. Lunch menu, okay. Town bus stop right outside the hotel took you to town for €1.50 with a pre-bought ticket or €2 if you paid the driver. Then, it was a short walk to the Piazza Tasso. Didn't get the room we booked. No garden or pool view. It was at the front of the hotel and was exceedingly noisy. The curtains were ripped. Not allowed to have a bath ( no plug) and no control of the air conditioning unless you turned it off on the electrical panel.
- Deborah (10/5): - The only minus was the breakfast, we would have loved hot oatmeal, fresh fruit
- Arturas (10/5): -
- Robert (4/5): Loved Sorrento, but would stay elsewhere next time. - Price & Location The Bed was rock hard, woke up painfully sore, no option for a double bed, only to put sheets on with no double mattress. Aircon was not reliable.
- Recine (8/5): -
- Kateryna (9/5): - We were very happy with our stay!
The room was spacious, with two windows and a stunning view of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The bathroom was large with a shower, and the bed was comfortable. Everything was always clean, and the room was serviced daily.
Special thanks to the staff — everyone was friendly and welcoming. For the price, the hotel fully met our expectations and even exceeded them.
Breakfasts were simple but sufficient: three types of eggs, cheese, cold cuts, croissants, pastries, coffee, apples, and preserved fruits. The choice of fresh fruit was limited, but there was more than enough to eat.
The location is convenient: about a 10-minute walk to the beautiful swimming spot Bagni della Regina Giovanna. A bus to the town center and the port runs every 20 minutes. Tickets cost €1.5 at the shop across the street or €2 on board.
The hotel also offers excursions to Capri, Positano, and Amalfi — highly recommended, these are unforgettable experiences!
Overall, everything was excellent, the stay exceeded our expectations. We would gladly recommend this hotel! A couple of suggestions: it would be nice to have at least a couple of glasses for water in the room.
- muthi ionut (9/5): - The staff was friendly and very helpful. We were able to book tours through them the bus would pick us from the hotel and get us back to it.
- Shaun (7/5): Hotel Igea - There were always loungers available around the pool. After checking out at 10am guests aren't allowed to use the pool, which wasn't helpful when you have an evening flight.
It's a bus ride away from Sorrento centre and in August the buses are extremely busy and often you can't get on the bus as they're full.
- Fornasari (8/5): - Il panorama Dovrebbero mettere una navetta propia
- Milana (10/5): -
- Pascal (8/5): -
- ANTONIO (7/5): Bom custo x benefício - Da facilidade de transporte público, mini mercado próximo, ATM, praia Bagni Regina próxima. o ar condicionado deixou a desejar.
- Maritza (10/5): - Right in front of the bus so very convenient, but far from the center of town
- Alison Julia Brown (6/5): Better alternative across the road - Swimming pool fantastic, location ideal and outside dining lovely The room was tiny. No room to open even one suitcase.
- Vika (8/5): -
- delvina (5/5): You get what you pay for - Needs to spend money on this hotel
Second time visited.
The owner or managers should experience 1 night stay.
The showers are terrible with little to no pressure
The pool closes so early
- Johan (10/5): - La piscine, le restaurant, l'emplacement.
- Jo (4/5): Stuck in an 80s timewarp- very disappointing - Breakfast waiters and young man in reception were really friendly.
Decent pool area and sunbeds.
Lovely views.
Bus stop right outside the door. We booked a deluxe sea view room but NOTHING about it was deluxe.
The entire hotel was stuck in a time warp in the 1980s regarding decor and facilities. Random plastic flowers and ship displays and a worse-for-wear stuffed Easter bunny in the dining room (in August).
Our 'deluxe' room had one single plug point for the entire room which was also the TV point. (Our children's standard room had 4 plug sockets so this didn't even compare). The balcony was tiny and had clearly been an add-on with poor quality workmanship. It was secure but the inch gap between the marble and bracket didn't invoke confidence when three storeys up.
2 single beds pushed together to create a makeshift double which constantly separated at night.
Air filter was thick with dust, stained curtains, fraying lampshades, mould patch on ceiling and poor quality paint work. It was so neglected. The mirror above the vanity had a huge scratched out mark, obliterating the reflection.
I'm 5ft and size 10 yet I could barely squeeze into the ridiculously small shower cubicle. The shower door seals were defunct and caked in black mould which gave me the ick.
Breakfast was OK but the same every day. Very limited fresh fayre- only apples which didn't look that appetising. The fruit salad was tinned. The boiled eggs were cold, dry and grey. One type of cheese and ham, same again daily. The sweet pastries were the best thing - enjoyed by husband and son but me and daughter prefer healthier options and these were truly lacking.
Really wished I'd complained and had room changed but comparing it to the standard room also booked, I didn't feel there would be any better options- it's not like they could fit more sockets, extend the balcony or change the shower.
Husband was watching the match in the lounge and the owner turned off the TV at 10pm part way through, saying the lounge was closing.

Struttura abbastanza pulita, staff gentile e buona colazione.
- oksana (4/5): I’m not very happy - I was very disappointed and the staff were very rude to me. The lady did try and make me feel better after but it was difficult as her English was poor It’s very outdated and very far. Also my room had open packages of shampoo that had been used
- Hervé (6/5): -
- Patrick (10/5): Lovely hotel - The hotel was spotless, the breakfast was great and I loved the pool area Pool boy never interacted with anybody, just sat on his phone all the time. Just a bit far out, but buses every 30 minutes so not really a problem
- Melissa (4/5): - Hotel restaurant was poor quality, not allowed outside food in the hotel, was told to eat on our bed when we picked up groceries as you are not allowed ANY outside food on the property. Ants in the rooms/on the patio, told the front desk about the ants in our room and the sink flooding and they told us to clean up. Not the customer service and hospitality we are used to.
- Ilaria (8/5): -
- Thomas (7/5): -
- Sangster (10/5): We would definitely come back - We loved the location of location, the pool, very friendly staff. It was perfect for us
- Manuel (4/5): Maso - Lejos del centro, habitaciones viejas!!! Chicas!!! Desastre por el precio que pagamos. Muy viejo TODO
- eleni (10/5): -
- Virginie (7/5): -
- r1983 (8/5): -
- Nuala (10/5): Recommend, would definitely return if in Sorrento again, good free swimming and beach nearby too x - Great location, lovely pool and friendly staff. Comfortable room with great view Nothing all great, glad not to be in centre of town.
- Loretta (10/5): Wonderful stay - Friendly staff, clean rooms, stupendous views, bus stopped right outside the hotel, breakfast included and pool on the property.
- Frederikke (7/5): -
- Deborah (8/5): - The pool, breakfast buffet and proximity to the Wonderful Bagna Regina Giovanna were great. Check in and out were easy. Rooms quite small, not much space other than the beds
- Saenz (10/5): -
- Kristine Ø. (3/5): Will not recommend this hotel - Nothing really The rooms when we arrived were not cleaned properly. There were chips and other food items on the floor. Hair from the people before us was found around the toilet and shower, and on the floor.
We returned to the room after a long day at the beach and the door to the room was left open by the cleaning personnel earlier in the day. This is really not ok… luckily nothing got stolen.
The breakfast was a disappointment. The selection was not to brag about. The driest bread, ham and eggs I have ever tasted. The eggs were overcooked so much that the plum was green… plastic glasses. No fruit.
The water in the pool was green…and the pool area in general was not clean and a place I would like to spend my day.
- Tom (10/5): Beautiful property - A touch of automation with lighting; newness feel. Exceptional staff especially night staff Vasilis. Buffet Breakfast was amazing and with variety. Slightly challenging when carrying to large suitcases but otherwise redeemable
- massimo (8/5): -
- Henna (9/5): A lovely and welcoming stay at Villa Igea! - From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by a friendly receptionist, who also kindly helped us understand how to use the local public transport. All the staff were consistently kind and helpful throughout our stay.
Our room was cozy and peaceful, with a beautiful view of the mountains. Air conditioning worked well, keeping the room nice and cool day and night.
One evening we had dinner at the hotel restaurant, and the pasta carbonara was absolutely delicious. The restaurant also offered stunning sea views from the terrace, and we got to enjoy a beautiful sunset during our meal.
The pool area was very pleasant, and the hotel garden was beautiful.
Breakfast was good, with options like yogurt, muesli, cereal, omelets, breads (with tomato, cucumber, ham, and cheese), pastries, juice, and coffee etc. We were very satisfied with the breakfast.
Next to the hotel, there’s a small grocery store and even a 24-hour self-service kiosk where you can grab snacks or drinks at your convenience.
The hotel is close to the beautiful Bagni Regina Giovanna, and while we walked to the city center once, we would recommend taking the bus instead. The bus stops right in front of the hotel, and a single ticket costs only €2 (or even cheaper if bought from the nearby market).
We could definitely imagine staying at Villa Igea again in the future and we will gladly recommend this hotel to our friends.
- Alie (8/5): Fijn verblijf, nette kamer, fijn zwembad. Nvt

- Andrea (6/5): -
