- María (10/5): Comfortable - The hotel was great. I made a trip around Canada and this hotel had the most comfortable bed. It was clean and with all the necessary stuff in the bathroom. I would definitely come again and obviously I recommend it. The restaurant was also very good, we had such a good meal there.
- catalina (8/5): Agradable - La dueña fue super amable. El hotel es básico pero tiene lo necesario y por ubicación, si estás haciendo ruta, queda muy bien ubicado. Mejoraría el tema de la calefacción ya que al llegar a la habitación hacía bastante frío. Se calienta por calefactor eléctrico.
- Fitz (8/5): Thank you for the hospitality, the quiet hallways and the restaurant. We'll be back soon! - We appreciated the walking distance to everything we wanted to see in Barry's Bay. The restaurant was a wonderful dining experience (evening of Thurs March 8). Thank ou to our waitress and to the chef. The hot water took a long time to get going (Thur March 5 - Sun March 8) - maybe a larger hot water tank is needed. I wish there was a kitchenette with the room - luckily a microwave was close by.

- John (10/5): Really enjoyed staying here. - An older hotel with a very historic feel. Right on the snowmobile trail, very easy access. Lots of parking. The coffee bar was GREAT. What an excellent idea. I have never seen anything like that before. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent. Great food. Great Belgian beer.

- Donald (8/5): A decent sleep and on to new adventures. - Was there a breakfast? We missed that!! Overall charm of the building. The coffee station. Nothing in particular. You have to laugh, but I picked up some bug bites all over my legs (not bed bugs according to my doctor) and they could have come from any of several possible sources from a cottage of a friend to another hotel! But I got them somewhere, ha ha! No aspersions cast. The room was adequate in every way.

Excellent restaurant, lovely covered deck and patio. Close walking distance to groceries. Nice walking tour of Barry’s Bay. Property is being upgraded. Entryway, staircase, halls a little tired. Would like to return in a couple of years to see improvements.

- Larissa (8/5): Cute hotel with lots of character right in the heart of Barry's Bay. - Very pleased with my stay! My room was renovated, clean, and well-decorated, giving it a cute and homey feel. The bed was comfy and there was a small heater in the room, which was perfect because it was quite cold outside. The manager of the hotel is very helpful and she made me feel welcome right from the moment I arrived. I had breakfast at the on-site restaurant one of the mornings I was there. The staff were absolutely lovely and so kind and the food was delicious. The building is very old, which means lots of character! However, lying in bed at night, I could feel the floor shaking as people walked down the hallway and could hear some noise carrying down the hallway (i.e., people talking, laughing, etc). However, I was able to block most of it out with earplugs. First thing in the morning, the hot water for the shower took a good 3-4 minutes to warm up (but it was quite cold outside, so that probably contributed as well). Otherwise, no complaints about this place at all.

No microwave in room and not katell to boli water at the room, water available at coffee station but taste like coffee should be seperate to boiling water for different purposes. Friendly atmosphere , location, comfort room, Restaurant downstairs. Overall was great :) The owner very friendly nice women. Pet friendly :) I will definitely recommend this hotel to Friends and not only.

I loved the little history provided in the room (with the menus and close by amenities). There wasn't any table or chair for us to sit at, and we could hear the loud plumming noises until they stopped a bit after when we went to bed.

Wasnt informed by the staff while entering. It was a very hot day. Since we came in very late, we couldnt enquire back for the fan in the night. Although there was small cooler that wasnt enough .

- Amanda (8/5): Neat place, clean, and comfortable - The hotel was very comfortable and charming. We were in a room that hasn't been updated but everything was still so nice. The bed and bedding were so cozy, the towels were great, the extra blanket was a great touch as well! The coffee bar was perfect with Keurig pods, cream, sugar and ceramic mugs rather than throw away cups. The owner was kind, dog friendly and offered an off leash space for our pup to run around in. The room had a fridge, TV and a nice dresser as well. A microwave was available near the coffee bar. The building is old and therefore has some shortcomings such as sound traveling through the hotel and the window providing the cooling (thankfully the town is blissfully quiet and the window being open was no bother). The owner also has ear plugs in the room as well! I would recommend an eye mask as well since the curtains don't block much light. It's not enough to make me not stay again but figure it is necessary to be said for those who may be lighter sleepers.

Petit point négatif, l'insonorisation qui n'est pas très bonne mais vue l'histoire du bâtiment c'est normal. Gros point positif Le repas que proposait l'hôtel, un vrai régal, entièrement fait maison, de bons produits et à un prix très abordable, un vrai plus !!

Éclaboussures au plafond de la salle de bain et sur les murs. Air climatisé mal entretenu et peu efficace. J’ai due nettoyer le filtre pour augmenter son efficacité.
