Guest Reviews
- julia (6/5): - Hotel right across the road from the railway station so ideal for a one night stay before or after your train. Staff helpful and was given a large room with comfortable twin beds. Room and bathroom was clean apart from black hairs on the sofa, possibly dog hairs. Plenty of bars and restaurants round the hotel.
- Katrina (4/5): - The location was ideal for the train station and the price was really good. However, it was a bit strange that we needed to hand in our key every time we left for the day. Also, I don’t mind the only fashioned decor however the old shower door was broken and in the bathroom also was a strange grate on the ceiling. We also were only provided with half a loo roll and had to resort to regular boxed tissue. Lastly, on our morning of checkout whilst tidying the bed, we found a bed bug crawling along the sheets.
- Peter (8/5): - This is one of the better relatively inexpensive hotels near a capital city's mainline railway stations literally opposite Gare du Nord and a few minutes walk to Gare de l'Est
In spite of being in a busy area, you can still get a good night's sleep
- john (10/5): PLEASANTLY SURPRISED - Only staying in Paris for the one night, we wanted somewhere inexpensive and near to the Gare du Nord. The hotel was much better than anticipated, and the beds really comfortable! Late check out of 11.30 an unexpected bonus. Great!
- Emmanuel (6/5): - It is not fair for the management not to provide a fan in the room. There is no air-condition, no fan. The room was extremely hot. Once i opened the windows, flies visited the room. They need to consider air-condition or fan.
The room was ok! However, when i booked the room, the details said " single room with double bed". When i got the hotel, I was given a single room with single bed. The room was not even numbered. May be the room number fell off and they didn't care to put it back. I was not happy that the room on the advert was not the room given to me. The room on the advert was totally different from the room i was given!!! I reported this but the reception desk told me that Expedia made wrong adverts. I chatted with someone from Expedia, the person said their advert was correct but it wasn't!!! I was told that they will get back to me after speaking to the management but they didn't. They supposed to refund me some money because the room i paid for was not given to me!!!
Overall, the place is good for transportation!!! The receptionist was good and helpful. The rooms are cleaned everyday. Will I use the place again? I may !!!
Recommendations 1. Update the charging sockets with with USB port (sockets type).2. Provide a fan in the room or air conditioner. 3. The window has no protection and it supposed to! 4. Bed should have at least two pillows. ( one pillow is not enough). 5. There is need to have channels that speaks English on the TV. Good luck.
- tracy (6/5): - too noisy at night and there must have been bed bugs as me and my friends had bites
- Deborah (8/5): - Basic hotel right opposite Gare du Nord.
Despite the poor reviews we found our room to be adequate with clean sheets, a comfortable bed and a warm shower. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Fine for a short stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very bad hotel - do not book! - DO NOT BOOK HERE. I booked for 4 nights in Paris, $480, and ended up having to book another hotel because this one was so bad. The manager was very rude and refused to offer me ANY sort of refund.
- CindiLsuyin (4/5): Great location however won’t return ever. Booked for proximity to Gare du Nord. No AC and service. iPhone missing. - I had booked and paid in advance for the “best room” 76 which had no AC so be prepared for noise when windows are open during hot months. The sink was clogged up and there was no extra loo rolls.
Free wifi only allowed for one device at a time. My iPhone is missing. The last boss is unaware she has dishonest and knowing staff.
Also I was charged for luggage storage for 2 nights prior to arrival despite . They are the only hotel who do not respond back to emails.
Lastly, they switched the airport shuttle time at the last minute so I had to book a taxi directly on the morning of my departure. I am quite sure the receptionist arranged a kickback for that.
- annhO1024MH (8/5): Perfect for 1 night - Great location, right across from the station. Rooms are small and basic, so not great for more than 1 night. Very close to cafes and restaurants, so noisy at night. We walked to Montmarte and then also to Notre Dame. It’s a budget hotel, and that is what you get, but close to everything.
There is a lift!!!
- Andres (8/5): - Location is very convenient, right next to Gare du Nord train station. The shower had not curtain nor glass door, so it could get quite messy with every shower.
- angela (10/5): - All was good.
- Christopher (10/5): - Good
- KitchenTalkandTravel (2/5): Bad weekend stay at Picardy Hotel Paris - We booked a twin room but got a double, changed but they forgot to tell us the toilet didn't flush. We complained and were told no fixing was available. Following day housekeeping were extremely rude when asking for a clean towel! Wouldn't stay again!
- aras346 (2/5): No go - I don't recommend this hotel to anyone, especially families.
Small rooms. No kettle or small refrigerator.
Very poor breakfast. Poor quality. Not a suitable hotel for families at all.
Only good think from this Hotel is the place in the central.Nothing Moreeee👎👎👎👎👎
- Dodge (2/5): Worst 15 mins of our lives - Arrived in Paris at 14:49, walked a short distance to the hotel for our 15:00 check in, the room wasn’t ready and were asked to go away and come back in hour. So we went for a walk locally to check out shops etc, about an hour and half later we arrived back ready for check in. The room was disgusting, hairs on bedding, layers of dust, bathroom light not working… the list is endless. I sat on the uncomfortable bed and we decided it was better just to go back to London, 19:57 we were on a train and booking a premier inn in London for the night.
- J2511ULgg (2/5): Do not stay at this hotel. - I can’t even begin to tell all the reasons you should avoid this place, so just don’t stay there. The only redeeming factor was closeness to Gare du Nord station which is why we chose it. If I had read the reviews I would not have booked it. I cannot stress enough that even though it is economical, it IS NOT WORTH IT.
- Katrin (4/5): - The hotel is really close to the Gare du Nord and the Gare de l‘ Est. I am not sure, however, why it holds the status of a hotel. It’s more on the level of a hostel, very basic. Such is also the breakfast. It was okay for a functional stay but that’s it.
- Thanuja (2/5): Very bad experience - The room was very poor and everything was broken, not very clean lift was not working one day the both room was broken the room was very tiny and small for that price I didn’t took the photo
- Llyr (8/5): - Ideal for me as opposite gare du nord and was tight on time arriving. Lovely staff, very helpful. Room clean and suites my needs for the night. €5 to leave luggage at reception for the day before heading back to London.
- Gary (6/5): You get what you pay for - What do you expect for £40 in centre París - bed was clean - shower was poor but safe and secure
- Verified traveler (2/5): AVOID - Non existent customer service. Shabby run down hotel. NO interior lighting, dangerously dark in the hallways. No heat. Poor water pressure. No sheets.
- Terry (2/5): you get what you pay for - I got exactly what I paid for. The hall light did not work, the toiled would not flush, at least the TV worked.
- Henry (2/5): - Room temperature was bad. Had to open windows. Street noise was horrible. No hallway lights. Hallway was filled with mattresses and boxes.
- wael (4/5): - As a place you need to crash in for a night its okay compared to the price, but and a big but if you care about the bathroom it smells very bad and we had an issue with the shower and in my two days stay they inform me that they fix it, which they didnt. Bathroom is way too small. The big issue i had is about breakfast, i regret that i paid for it since you can have only one Croissants and there is only 2 kinds of bread and one kind of cheese. Worst breakfast buffet check the picture and you will know in advanced what you get
- Maxwell (2/5): - I didn’t like the attitude some of the staff,
I stayed 2 days when I ask why no new bathroom towels they say “ u have to used yesterday towels “
WHAT ????? R U Joking !!!!!!
Room far too small light not working & keep going on & off,
- Ariel (10/5): - Hotel staff were kind and helpful. They made our stay extremely comfortable and pleasant after a long and exhausting journey.
- Carter (6/5): - You get what you pay for. It’s safe and good for a nights rest but not more. Shower head did not attach to wall and light flickered. Towels and bed sheets were older but clean. Pillows lumpy. Staff was super friendly and there to help.
- Abegail (6/5): - Near the Gare du Nord station. The facility is really old and flush on toilet is barely working. The elevator is sometimes not working to be ready to use the narrow stairs. Overall fine for a one night stay due to affordable price
- Cathleen (6/5): - This hotel is adequate. It is close to the train station and there are some restaurants nearby. It is old and nothing extraordinary.
- tanyai960 (8/5): I was pleased with hotel for price - Average hotel but excellent for the cheap price. Basic accommodation, very clean, towels provided, bathroom with hair dryer, cleaned daily if wanted. Staff spoke English and were helpful.
Make sure door is locked as cleaner wandered in without initially knocking.
Very well located 2 min walk from train station and metro. Although area may appear questionable there were nice restaurants and bars locally. Wonderful bakery next door. We were two women alone and we experienced no problems. Very happy with 4 day trip to Paris .
- annmurrayb (2/5): Turned off at first sight - The only good points about this hotel is its central location (beside Gare du Noord station) and the view from the bedroom window.
The unfriendly staff made our stay very unpleasant from the moment of check in. We booked 2 rooms but was told that one person in our party could not stay at the property as they were fully booked.
The guy at the reception desk did not even show any empathy or assist us to find alternative accommodation in the area.
Another staff member proceeded to tell us in a rough manner to close the door we had just entered. Overall the experience made us feel unwelcome.
We would not recommend anyone book at this place...even if you were being paid to.
- Anthony (10/5): Great stay at Hotel Picardy - My stay was wonderful. The hotel staff was excellent and the price was very affordable compare to the rest of Paris. I would recommend for those who are traveling to Paris and on a budget
- Alfred (8/5): Picardy - Hotel was fine
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst Hotel Ever - Very bad hospitality, worst cleaning, no soap in the bathroom, no lights working, owners behave is mind boggling, bed size is not even for kids, if rating is available in minus -8 from my end 2 I kept for location other than that very bad experience.
- Iwan (10/5): - Convenient
- dizemka (8/5): Basic but worth the money - The hotel is what you paid for small shabby and outdated but the location is good and the beds are clean
There was so much to do around so the bed was a must.
Breakfast I wouldn't recommend best is reserve the room without and spend the money on the bakery just downstairs.
The breakfast was poor continental not ! Not even the orange juice to drink one day not enough eggs for all residents and next day not enough of the cheese for all residents ( in day one cheese was not an option! )
I would strongly say it is basic to stay in a small room and small bathroom but again fairly clean for what could be.
It could be little bit more of deep clean and it could become more retro boutique 😄
If you can choose a higher floor as the noise from the area is normal for a busy international national train station so don't expect peaceful surroundings.
Good thing is taxis of front tip here: offer cash and the driver will take you around to see the important places
We had 1,5 day and seen all. Where you ask to go off the meter 60 euro per ride (4h-5h) will get you around the town with the waiting time for photos etc.
- Alexandra (6/5): - Great location if you are catching a train - right across from Gare du Nord where the Eurostar departs from Paris. Loud area - bust street, lots of flashing neon signs all through the night.
- Daniel (8/5): - The staff was very friendly and courteous. The location is near the train station and has a lot of unsavory people hanging around.
- Dave (4/5): - The property was very dated and very small, the bathroom and shower was enough for a midget not a full size person, I am no means big but I struggled to access the shower without being a contortionist!!! It was very handy for the train station and metro links, but the location had too many vagrants and transient people around which made the area feel unsafe at times although we did not get hassled but saw others being hassled.
- Jonathan (8/5): - Perfect location by Gare du Nord and great food all around.
- Patricia Anne (10/5): - Nice cosy, clean and comfortable, hotel.Great location for the Gare du Nord, whether arriving on Eurostar or from an airport. Nice helpful staff.Good breakfast.Nice to come back to the room after a day of sightseeing.
- ty530 (2/5): The worst hotel I ever went to - I think it is safe to say that the only upside to this hotel is it’s location.
The staff was not in particular coming off as friendly, and midway through checking in, the woman behind the front desk starts conversing with her coworker. I do not know if this was of any relevance to the checkin as they spoke in french, but it did not appear so. I had pre-payed my room, but upon checking in I was to pay some tax fee, which was not info I had been given prior. It was only a few euros, so that in itself wasn’t a problem. However despite just having put in my credit card information to their system, they could not accept card payment for this without an additional 10€ fee. So I ask for directions to the nearest ATM, which it seemed like she did not understand. I assume it to be language barrier, but I would expect the reception to at least speak enough english to be able to answer this. Otherwise it did not seem that English was much of an issue to her, so I am confused by this fact. Regardless, it was not a very pleasant encounter overall. Upon taking my credit card number, I noticed that she also took the 3 security numbers on the backside of my card. I have since changed my credit card for this reason.
I had during my booking requested a room with a bathtub, which I did not get. The hotel room looks shabby with stains at the carpet, no light in the ceiling in the main room. There is one room for the toilet and one with a shower. The bathroom/toilet light is set to register motion, which makes it turn off after a couple of seconds, and the flush of the toilet was not properly working either - needed to be jammed in a couple of times before it would work. The door to the room with the bath was broken and closing it was a hassle. I notified the staff on the evening of the first night - the immediate question was “what happened?” as if it was something I should have done. I explained that since it is a sliding door and it is not attached to whatever is supposed to make it slide, it needs to be lifted in order to be closed. The staff, who was a different one from when I checked in, was however, a lot more polite than the woman from earlier. He apologised because he was alone and could therefore not leave the front desk to check on the matter. I asked if I could be moved to a different room then, but the place was fully booked. The door was never fixed during my stay.
I did not expect anything fancy when booking a room here, but I expected at least things such as light and doors to be in order and that the room would be clean.
The walls are dirty several places and anything but sound proof. I was located on the 6th floor and the noise of the traffic was pretty loud considered this. I could even hear the faint noise of people talking down at the street.
There were not provided a blanket - which is fine since it was so hot in the room here during summer, and the room got no AC. They did provide an extra thin bedsheet, which was perfect for the temperature - however, upon removing that bedsheet, the underlying one had a stain on it. It did not seem unwashed, so I was not worried about it being unclean. However, with everything else about this hotel room being less than up to scratch, this really did not manage to go unnoticed by me.
The breakfast I also pre-booked. I did not expect a wide selection or anything fancy, but even with low expectations, this place managed to disappoint. They had a few types of bread, some jam, coffee, tea and the smallest jug of juice I ever saw. There were some small yoghurts as well. Even at hostels, I have seen better breakfast than this. The bread was dry and tasteless. Overall it was a highly unpleasant hotel to be at. Never returning again.
No vuelvo.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hotel was basic but clean and friendly. Really good location as well
- Sterling (6/5): - It's convenient and cheap for a reason.
The room, bed, and shower were fine.
Breakfast was terrible. I didn't know what the meal was supposed to be. The croissants were burnt and the fruit salad looked tired.
- sophiasY1868BY (2/5): Not safe for women!!!!. - Worst hotel in the world. On arrival when we were checking in the manager (which i didn't know at the tine) was fighting with a cleaning lady. He threw a bunck of keys at her and was shouting at swearing. We were 3 females. We booked for 3 nights but left after 1 night. Our rooms had no lights, the ceiling in our bathroom was missing and only had weird bars and wires along it. I felt like i was being watched. We were told we'd be charged extra for using more toilet paper. We booked 2 twin rooms but was given 1 double bed room and 1 twin room. Extremely noisy outside at night and could not sleep, could hear women screaming (in discomfort) at night and men shoutingand swearing on the street till 4am. Very rough area, men loitering, harrasing and following women during the day can't even imagine what happens at night. A man right outside the hotel asked me if I had some change I politely told him "sorry I don't have any change" and he began swearing and shouting at me in French eventually I had to go back into the hotel to avoid him. Groups of men will stand outside the metro stations and the Gare du nord Station and will block your way, harrass you and try touching you. Sone men also followed us shouting in french for long periods of time. we couldn't take the harrasment anymore as we were genuinely scared and decided to just take ubers everywhere which left us broke. The bed was so dirty with yellow stains on the duvet we slept in our clothes over the bedsheets. We had to leave our key with the receptionist everytime we left the hotel. We left the hotel after 1 night and decided to stay at disneyland instead. This hotel and the area gare du nord ruined our holiday. I will never go back to paris again after the trauma. This hotel should not be on these website, extremely unsafe hotel especially for women. I 100 percent believe this is a sex hotel. Awful place for women.
- Global47241536642 (2/5): Neglected, shabby, foisty. - Stairway to the room had piles of dirty linen, bottles, hoover and bags at each level. Opened the door and the most disgusting foisty/mouldy smell was in the room. Curtains hanging off the rails. Turned back the bedsheets to find two hairs in the bed and a couple of dried in blood spots on the sheet. Carpet had lots of dirty marks on. Bathroom ceiling....well there was no ceiling, just some metallic kind of bars that were open and led to goodness knows what. Noise from street below was as if you were outside rather than inside. No tv signal. Tried to connect wifi and got warning message advising not to as unsafe connection. This hotel should not be sold as sound proofed. They need to spend a bit of money to clean the place up, get new carpets, bed linen and curtains. Soundproof the rooms. It may be cheap, but it doesn't have to be dirty and neglected. Oh and please, find out what is causing that disgusting foisty smell in room no 26!
- VINOD (8/5): - Centrally located.
Restaurant too conjusted
- Tahar (6/5): Don’t dare show up before 3pm - We arrived extremely early, we went to the hotel who obviously told us there’s no rooms ready which of course was fine with us but when asked if we can leave our bags in the hotel because we had 2
Buisness meetings they told us NO, they actually had the cheek to tell us to go back to the eurostar station and pay for our bags to be kept there we had to go to 2 meetings with our bags which was inconvenient especially as our stay was only for 1 night and we paid £ 89 considering we left the room at 4.15am.
We stayed in many hotels in Paris and never nobody treated us the way the 2 day men receptionists did, we asked very politely but got arrogance out of them.
We checked in at around 11pm and my god the night receptionist was very very nice, Picardy hotel needs this kind of staff the whole day, this hotel is so convenient being just across Eurostar, pity the day staff are not fit for purpose but we will stay again bearing in mind not to ask to leave our luggage and not show up before 3 pm as they do so well to remind people.
Other than that we had a good 4 hours sleep. Thanks again to the lovely night staff who speaks English very well and was so pleasant.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good location and price. But too warm on a hot day.
- Sienna (6/5): - You get what you pay for, it is not the hotel fault that it is very loud outside but they could amend the faulty light switch in the room we stayed as as we arrived late and only one small light was working in the room and it was hard to see anything. No aircon at all. They could also potentially look into having a luggage storage for early arrivals or late leavers as we had to pay extra to store our bags at the train station until we could check in. That being said fifty quid for a basic room is what you get.
- Stephen (6/5): - Property is what I expected cost wise around a train station. Don’t think your staying at the ritz.
- CM187822 (2/5): Stay far away from here - Would advise everybody to stay far away from this ‘hotel’. The area is crawling with seedy, creepy non French men who accost you and follow you around the street shouting obscenities at you. These men linger right outside the hotel doors. The men working at the hotel make you leave your room key with them when you leave the hotel for the day which is not safe at all. They try and make you pay more money upfront and the rooms are not clean and are tacky, the curtains hang off, there’s wires and sockets hanging out. The bathroom ceiling has these weird beams that seems as if someone is up there looking down at you, which wouldn’t surprise me. The website is false advertising. Not safe for women or children, we left after 15 minutes and never came back, didn’t care about losing the money we had already paid to ensure our safety. Save your money if you don’t have someone like Liam Neeson who can save you when you get taken. I don’t know how this hotel is still open all the reviews are true.
- Chris (6/5): - One gets what one pays for! Due to Hotel Picardy being adjacent to Gare du Nord, i chose this particular hotel. Because it was inexpensive relative to other nearby hotels, I understood that I would be staying somewhere 'downmarket' - but for three nights, I was very happy to put up with it! The hotel is clean and tidy, but my room was extremely tiny, with very limited facilities -as I expected! The concierge was utterly unhelpful and I had to come to the aid of an American couple because the staff were simply unwilling to help them! I did not expect much - and I received very little! If you want a cheap, clean hotel, then this will suffice - if, however, you desire those little extras that can be important to some people, I suggest that you look elsewhere! Clean hotel - shame about the service!
- lesley (2/5): - I didn’t like the big bucket of cigarette butts
- billies42 (2/5): Told our booking didn’t exist! - So I booked this hotel back in March for 3 nights at the end of June through hotels.com. Myself and my sister were due to arrive around 11.30pm so I called in advance to check we could still check in at this time and they said that was fine. We get to the hotel and they claim our booking ‘doesn’t exist’ and all the rooms are full. Obviously I’ve got my booking and receipt etc on my phone but they weren’t having any of it and telling us to call hotels.com to sort the refund. Bare in mind we are two young females at midnight in Paris, they basically chucked us out on the street with nowhere to go. After walking around a number of hotels to find most in the area are full, we finally found one for a reasonable price. I got in touch with hotels.com who were really good. They contacted the property for us and told us that the hotel basically overbooked, so I’m guessing that because we turned up so late they just gave our room away DESPITE the fact I called that day for that exact reason. Absolutely appalled by the service and the disregard for the huge inconvenience and danger they put us in. Also very untidy in the reception area. Safe to say would 100% never recommend to anyone.
- TravellingScouse1 (6/5): Hotel Picardy Paris - Not much to say about this as I was only there one night. But clean and comfortable a little dated but safe enough located just across the road from Gare Du Nord apparently the area can be quite rough at night so be careful when going outside. Not sure I'd recommend for a long stay.
- LeylaL (2/5): Hotel in Paris - No lights in room… no pillowcases… when ask for light we’re told to use our cel phone light… no ac, had to leave window open for some air.. noisy and even corridors were dark.. look messy and dirty… came back from dinner receptionist was out in street, got impression that main door was not locked at night time…best thing was that hotels is across street from train station
- James (6/5): - Hotel is ok - could do with a refresh of the decor. Very convenient for public transport. Limited seating area in the breakfast room. The area around Gare du Nord is littered with gangs of men trying to flog contraband cigarettes and a strong smell of urine - not a very pleasant area.
- Thomas (4/5): - The hotel is spectacular for its location, however, the fact that they have NO AIR Conditioning and that it is across from the Gare Du Nord means that the noise levels are impossible. I probably will never stay there again.
- MR H J (8/5): Great location - Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Perfect location opposite Gare du Nord and a metro line 4 station on its doorstep. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast room was too small and unappetising.
- hamaldeepak44 (2/5): Worst - Disgusting place, dirty, rude staff, no fans let alone the air-conditioning. They don't even want to supply toilet paper. Kitchen staff were bit friendly though. No maintenance.
Avoid this place at all cost.
- Marie-Christine (8/5): - I felt very welcome by the staff. The room was very clean and basically had all that I needed, at a reasonable price. Merci beaucoup!
- paolitav988 (10/5): Good stay, basic hotel but worked for me - I stayed at the Picardy hotel with a friend in a twin beds bedrooms, after reading the reviews I was very worried about the hotel but I must tell you I was relieved when I arrived to the hotel. The location was amazing, just across the big train station "gare du nord" so easy transportation from there to all the landmarks we wanted to see. Benoit checked us in and he was so nice and helpful, he speaks Spanish so made our life so much easier, the hotel has an elevator which was great as we were on the 7th floor ( and I packed way too much). The room is very small and basic but I mean you get what you paid for, the price is great for the location in Paris and we were not spending much time in the hotel anyways. Bathroom is small as well and shower could be better but it worked for us. If you are looking for a 5 stars hotel this place is not for you but if you want to save money and stay in a great location well I definitely recommend. The only complaint is that they do not store luggage but just across the street at the gare du nord they do have lockers for €9
- Daniel (2/5): Awful customer service - Was visiting Paris with friends. Upon arrival even though i stressed when booking we needed seperate beds we found our room had obly a double bed. We were offered a different room which was much appreciated but once we were settled in our new room we discovered that the toilet did not work. We do not like to complain but when we raised this issue with reception we were greeted with a very rude response. The problem was never rectified which contributed to a less than perfect stay.
- Bridget (6/5): ok if you just want somewhere to sleep - Good location near the train station.
Simple room, ok if looking for something to just sleep. Outdated bathroom and decor. Got a triple and the third bed as more converted sofa. Overall ok if you just want to sleep but when we had rain on the bank holiday was concerned we’d need to spend time at the hotel as there isn’t much in terms of comfort.
- Ali (4/5): - I hope I will never have to come back
- sue (10/5): - Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent travel connections
though a bit noisy due to area.
well priced.
Good, plentiful breakfast.
Room cleaned daily. No cold water in basin in bathroom!!
A great inexpensive hotel for a short break.
- Alvin (6/5): - The hotel is right across the train station and good local restaurants prices are fair. The bad side is housekeeping didn’t make our rooms until 5pm and we were there 2weeks and never got cleaned sheets.you get what you pay for I guess. We will definitely come back to Paris but not this hotel we will pay more for better service.I did like that we had hot water and some breakfast items.
- Michael (4/5): If you want cheap, you will get it here - Looked at cheap accommodation to reduce costs as normally go three stars. Was very disappointed but agreed my fault. Will not make that mistake again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Only reason we booked it was that it was close to the train station. I was very disappointed that even though we booked for three people, they said we only booked for two and we were charge for the extra person.
- mohamed (10/5): - Comfortable hotel with great location
- Zak (2/5): - Smell bad in the room, sink broken, the key to the room not working good.staff has bad manner and service ( probably the owner)
- Crystal (10/5): - Love the staff they made an effort to remember who I was
- widadl2023 (2/5): Avoid at all costs it is a scam - We booked a three people room for two nights at 351 euros. => turned up to be a room for two people
1. The room was not ready at the check in. So the cleaning lady managed somehow to prepare it in 10 min
2. The room was dirty: curtains the sheets as well as the floor are dirty and discusting. We had the impression that sheets were never changed and that someone already slept in them before. They were bugs on the bed so we couldn t sleep nicely it was a nightmate
3. The stuff: well actually a lady (maybe manager) she is super rude to clients and to her staff. She screams to everyone and treat em like trash
4. It really made my stay awful i don t recommend
- Stephanie (6/5): - Location right next to Gard du Nord was great for us as we were on a late Eurostar. The price was good for a room with an en suite bathroom. The room and bathroom were clean, good bed with fresh, white linen. The shower worked consistently. However the decor looked dated and the corridors were dark and off putting. The bathroom was very small - I'm an average size lady and it was just OK. It was fine for one night before moving on but I wouldn't want to spend a longer stay there.
- Juan Jose Bonilla (8/5): - I loved the property, the only bad thing I have is that even if you rent a single bed they don’t let you have any visitors for a couple hours.
- Jose Mario (10/5): - The place is super well located in front of la Gare du Nord. Rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly. They have an elevator (unusual for many hotels in Europe), and they try really hard to give the best customer service.
- Andrew (4/5): - Staff member on desk was awesome. Hotel was bad. So so old and dated. Felt unclean. Curtains fell off the wall when I tried to close them
- HIROYUKI (2/5): - Personal service are especially bad. Front desk staff are very a bad attitude. No amenities. No clean.
- Ian (2/5): Avoid this hotel !!! - Terrible. I booked a twin room and when I arrived they said I had been allocated a single room. When I showed my booking they said if I want a twin room I needed to pay an extra 105€. Avoid this hotel at all costs!!!!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Simple budgeted hotel - When we first checked in for the hotel, was stunned that i need to pay additional 30 euro for bringing my 8months old baby along instead of just hubby and i. No extra cot nor extra amenties were given but charge extra. The room doesnt have basic amenities like tissue (staff said ran out) , no toothbrush, no shampoo, hair left behjnd bathroom by previous guests. the breakfast was decent and the staff was generally nice people but honestly to charge additional for a baby who doesnt eat or need extra bed, i dont get it. Location is good but noisy. Room is stuffy. If u need a budget hotel, you can consider. Or if breakfast is important, can consider staying. Overall it was ok for me, just not so pleased we are charged extra.
- Janice (8/5): - The room was clean and cleaned daily. The front desk clerks were exceptional, helping us at every request.
- Salvador (6/5): - Pros:
As far as price goes. It was very affordable and close to the metro was the best part about it.
Checking in and out was easy.
Nice people at the reception desk.
Cons:
Small bedrooms and single beds are about a full size.
Not enough room for two people to be comfortable.
The bathroom was a joke as the toilet was in a small corner and had to hop my leg over to use the bathroom.
Comforter had what appeared dry blood stains and so did the curtains.
Has free wifi but not good at all.
During the day I felt completely safe with but during at night is where it gets a little sketchy. As I got my room key after spending the whole day in the city a man walked into the lobby and started raising his voice to the receptionist and looked aggressive. After the receptionist warned him about calling the police he left.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very Unhappy customer - The heater wasn’t working I was freezing the whole stay!
There was a leakage in the shower-room
And the sink was not flushing out properly.
And to top it up there was bunch of pick pockets wondering outside the main entrance, one actually had the audacity to follow me to the hotel entrance as he kept trying to get my attention and asking for my number! Felt like an harassment! I was so uncomfortable and very disturb by it that I was scared to step outside the hotel.
I did not enjoy my stay there and unfortunately won’t recommend it at all.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Horrible smell in side bulding everywhere. Bed sheet does not exist. Dirty place . Never again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Prior to my arrival, I requested to have a room in the higher floors as I knew that it was a busy road and did not want to hear noises at night. when I arrived we were on the 3rd floor and the hotel had 8 floors. When I spoke to the receptionist he said he did not see the message and could not move us.
The hotel seemed really empty so I couldn't understand why they couldn't move us and just thought they didn't want to.
The bed was hard and uncomfortable
The breakfast was extremely scarce and not great quality. Overall it was not a good stay
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The windows did not seem to shut tightly and the street outside was extremely noisy with traffic all through the night. Lots of horns blowing almost continually. I know the hotel cannot control traffic but some sound proofing would-be in order.

- Verified traveler (2/5): worst place I’ve ever stayed at - I booked two rooms for myself and my 2 siblings due to a cancellation of trains meaning we needed last minute accommodation but in hindsight sleeping in the train station would have been a better and cleaner option as we all did not manage to sleep anyway.
The hotel rooms (both rooms), had an indescribably foul smell, dirty sheets and unclean bathroom area. There was stains in random places such as the curtains, the bedsheets and the toilet seats. The floor was unclean. Due to the severity of the uncleanliness I asked for cleaning material to clean myself as we did not feel comfortable in the disgusting environment but this was rejected by the receptionist who advised me he could give me tissues (which I found peculiar.
The bathroom setup was impractical with no space to move.
I complained that the rooms had not been cleaned and this was evident when I found used condoms in the bathroom but to no avail. We were bitten by bed bugs and there was flies. We are still suffering itchy skin a day later. The corridor areas were filled with dirty laundry stacked up in various locations which was visible from the lift area and corridor.
This Hotel is unhygenic, unsafe, PEST infested and overall in humane.
I have travelled around the world to many different countries and quite frankly, this is the most vile place I’ve ever walked in to needless to say, slept in. Although this is a 2 star hotel I was under the impression that cleanliness and basic hygiene would still be maintained as
- matthieu (4/5): - Arrived in a freezing room at night as the windows was left open. There was not possible to turn the heating on. On the morning there was not hot water in the shower.
- Elaine (8/5): - The very best thing about this hotel is how close it is to the Gard du Nord. When one comes out onto the Dunkurque St exit beside the starbucks one looks to the left and across the street and there is is!!! It is also right next door to a great patisserie and boulangerie!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It’s convienent close to train station reasonable priced. Not well kept lights off in hallways day and night
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The proximity (directly opposite) of this hotel to Gare du Nord (Eurostar Terminal and RER Station) and the No45 bus route which takes you from Gare du Nord straight to the city centre (Concorde) is this hotel’s chief attraction particularly as I was arriving and leaving on Eurostar. You don’t usually visit Paris to enjoy your hotel room but to visit the sights and when you are in your room you have your eyes closed - hopefully - most of the time. I was travelling to Paris without my wife and with things to do, so this provided me with a comfortable bed and my own bathroom. The WC worked fine but the wash hand basin drained extremely slowly so, with the very hard Parisien water, the basin was full of scum after I used it. I spent 3 nights here and the cleaner thoroughly cleaned the washbasin every day so I knew she had been. There are plenty of adequate bar/cafés in the immediate neighbourhood so I did not take breakfast here (additional charge) and my room for Paris was cheap so it represents fair value. The entrance is manned 24hrs and the various men guarding the hotel entrance (conciergerie) were helpful. The lift worked throughout my stay. Would I choose to stay here again? Yes, but if with my wife, probably not.
- Remmingtone (6/5): Ok but bed bugs - Would of been ok but let down by the cleaniness of the room was bed bugs and dirty bedding.
Location great with alot of resturants and main station only over the road.
- Brian (2/5): Worst experience I’ve overpaid for - I had reservations for 4 nights and checked out after the first night because I had to wait to find another hotel with an available room the next day. I was still charged for the other three nights. We arrived at 6pm, check in was at 3pm and our room was still not ready. Our room was in the 7th floor, no air conditioning (since 1974 I was told), no fan, no working elevator, the bed was worn out, had to leave one window open the other window would not open, very noisy area, no shampoo, and the shower is very small. When you leave the building for a short time you turn your room key back in with the receptionist. The windows have had to have been left open while it was raining outside. The exterior walls and base boards were water damaged and the closet floor was sunken down about an inch and the floor was soft.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don't let the bed bugs bite... literally - Seemed ok... until I awoke at 3am itching all over. On looking in bathroom mirror I was covered neck to ankle in bites, and on returning to bedroom I could see the bed was crawling with bugs. Complained at the time and requested refund, manager was not on site but I was assured it would be taken care of, in the meantime I was moved to another room (a single rather than a double as booked and paid for). On checking out I again raised the issue of a refund and again was assured the manager would handle it... however the manager then refused a refund as I'd 'completed my stay'. So never mind that I was covered in itchy bites that are still visible a week later, apparently I still have to pay for an infested room because I opted not to walk out at 3am...
- W (6/5): Did not get the double bed that I paid for - 2 night stay...warm weather, warm room, close location to trains/metro, no early check in, nice staff, 2nd floor was very noisy w/ cigarette/? sales, yelling & traffic noise just below..suggest 3rd floor or higher. 2nd 1 night stay...nice staff, did not get double bed as hotels.com sold me, hotel said 1 person only gets single bed/“simple room”??
