City view still had water view. Staff was friendly. Small store for snack, things left and wine or beer purchases at property was nice. Lobby view was pretty. Lobby is beautiful. I always clean a hotel shower better and in doing so did find hidden dirt under the edge of the shower glass stand. The faucet was pulling apart from the wall and not secured well in 506, def needs some small things redone. TV was super small. Bed was a tad hard.

• Carribeantraveler52 (10/5): Home away from home - We recently returned from a 4 week stay at the Bask Hotel in Morehead City, NC, our fourth year in a row doing that. We do an extended stay to spend time with our grandchildren who live nearby. It has become our springtime home away from home. And Shannon, Dawn, and the entire staff make us feel like family. The Bask is located on the waterfront with beautiful views and also within walking distance of many great restaurants. It is THE place to stay in Morehead City and we are definitely going to head back next spring for our fifth year.

Rooms could do with a deeper clean and some painting. Air con was so loud we had to turn it off so it must be very uncomfortable during summer months. Breakfast order was wrong on one morning - several items missing. An elevator was out of service on our last morning causing extremely long waits for guests trying to get downstairs to check out.

The suite is the size of a one bedroom apartment. the open concept kitchen/living room has seating for six. in addition, there are four high backed upholstered stools at the breakfast bar. Kitchen is full sized with range and a very large fridge/freezer. The bathroom is roomy and has a big, enclosed shower. Excellent waterfront views from bed and living room. First impression is great. Here's the deal breaker for me: The ac unit that supplies the entire suite is in the bedroom. It is loud. So loud that there's a notice/sign on the thermostat from hotel mgmt. that warns about the noise. It's loud when it starts and loud while it runs. The noise and hot exhaust vent on to the balcony. No good. When we were there on 4/25/26 overnight lows were in the 60's and the mosquitos/flying insects weren't active so we were able to open the balcony doors to cool the room. In the heat/humidity of a NC summer this will not be a stopgap. Other room configurations may not have this problem. I would definitely stay at the Bask in accommodations with proper HVAC.

• JUDY (1/5): Would not stay there again! - Close to grandkids. Room water view. Suite looked good but wasn't! Kitchen, Large Living room, bedroom. Outside Balcony. Shower dangerous!!! Extremely slippery, nothing to hold. No mat. It was a weird low corner tub with front cut out and painted plywood covered for the glass door to fit into. The shower head faced the door and flooded every time!!!! Roaches! They did call in Orkin Man. Only 2 so didn't spray. Sofa bed couch extremely uncomfortable couch. Very few kitchen items, toy sized pans no pots. Dishwasher not available for use. Bed uncomfortable. Checkout: I was told they did not have a receipt, and I had to get it from Bookings. But we paid at the hotel! I have not received it. I have NO IDEA what they charged!!!

Our room and bathroom were very spacious. The toilet was right next to the bathroom door, kind of bumping your knees. I also would have liked it if a shower cap would have been available. There was coffee available in the lobby but no water. It would be nice to have an ice machine close to the upper floors.

• Bonnie (10/5): Highly Recommended Hotel Just Outside of Atlantic Beach - Spacious and clean room with lovely water view at a reasonable price. Kitchen has a full size refrigerator, stove, and microwave but no dishwasher. Kitchenware is adequate to prepare a simple meal. We appreciated the "room service" breakfast, which offered a variety of options and was delivered right on time. The breakfast wasn't very hot by the time it was delivered. Also, having to pay $7 for parking seemed a bit tacky - just include the fee in the room rate and we will all feel better about it.

Why ruin a very lovely hotel with a no non sense breakfast like that, The wife and I enjoyed a McDonald’s meal much better . The room was spacious, and when I got there, the TV welcomed me by name. The refrigerator did not have a freezer section, which I needed to keep my ice packs frozen. The magnetic strip on the shower was peeling off, leaving the shower door open a crack. The main meal for breakfast was smaller than the muffin I had as a side, and was very bland.
• Hughes jr (10/5): Even for a single king bed room, it's very spacious and the staff are outstanding - The balcony on the south side has an amazing view of the bridge at sunset, seeings how the hotel is right on the water, it's exceptionally located to great locally owned restaurants and the beach.

• Carl (7/5): Only one thing! - I love the location and the fact that I could get the air I needed from the ocean! I liked how the whole setup was from the living room, kitchen and bedroom was. The only thing that I really didn't like was cleaness of the carpet and floor. I always do my own housekeeping but I do expect a certain kind of clean from the housekeeping staff. Although I felt better when I was accommodated with what I asked for.

We were warmly welcomed and our rooms were amazing. The staff should go everywhere and train all hotel staff! Dawn, Shannon, Connie & Katina were the consummate hosts and wonderful ambassadors for Bask & Morehead City. This wasn’t our first stay and we already have plans to return as soon as possible.

• BackPacker150841 (10/5): Exceptional - Was in town for a memorial service over the weekend and decided to give the Bask hotel a try. From checking in , during, until checking out… what a delightful experience. The room was well designed with ample room for two. If we needed anything we just needed to ask the front desk when we filled out our breakfast menus for the next morning. The menu options were plentiful and our breakfast was delivered on time to our room each morning. Exceptional people. This will be a definite go to from now on.
