• Verified traveler (8/5): - Small quaint clean, comfortable, in the heart of "Old City" language barrier pretty high, but staff can't do enough for you. Only a few places to stay have English speaking help past basic. Food service for their breakfast not a strong suit for them but passable. I give them high marks on everything at a very fair price. I would go back.

• WAI YEE (8/5): Fairly good - location is a bite difficult to find, and the toilet was stuck but the housekeeper helped us to change for another room to solve the problem.
• CHI CHUNG (10/5): - The bed and toilet are clean and comfortable. The room is really big. Free tea and tea-cooking equipments are ready in the room. The hotel is exactly inside the ancient city. Staffs are more than happy to share local information and recommend trustworthy local tours. We joined a local tour recommended by them. The experience was pretty good. We arrived the hotel very early, around 7am, because of the train’s schedule. Then, we checked in very earlier. It was very heartwarming. I personally recommend having your Lijiang trip with this hotel.

In particular, the manager Tiffany was very caring and went out of her way to provide us with helpful information. Breakfast was simple but good and the room very clean and spacious. Convenient access to the bustling streets of the old town, yet providing a peaceful environment to rest and relax. Overall good value for money.

Det kan varmt anbefales, når man skal bo i Lijiang og gerne vil bo tæt på eller i den gamle bydel. Utroligt hyggeligt og kinesisk med de vesterlandske faciliteter, som vi vesterlændinge foretrækker. Morgenmaden er diskret tilpasset vesterlandske forhold, dog med et fint touch af Kina. Alle faciliteter er fantastiske. God gårdhave med koi-fisk og bambus - til dejlig afslapning. Store rene og pæne værelser helt som beskrevet hos hotels.com. Meget venligt og hjælpsomt personale (især Jimmi) som kunne tale engelsk og stod på pinde for os. Beliggenheden ideel og trådløs internetforbindelse overalt. Meget afslappende atmosfære. Vi kan ikke sætte et eneste minus ved dette hotel.
• mi (10/5): 古城内にある便利なホテル - シャングリラから戻り、次の日また移動するので1泊で利用しました。 シャングリラ滞在中に、空港送迎の有無について連絡ありました。 私はシャングリラからバスで戻る為、必要ないと連絡しました。(100元) バスをおりタクシーで北の方の古城入口で降ろしてもらいました。 地図アプリを使って、古城内のホテルを探しました。五一街に近く、門をくぐって見つける事ができました。 チェックインの際にお茶をいただきました！とても心がほっこり、美味しかったです。 また、エントランスも綺麗にお掃除してあり清潔感がありました。 スタッフの方は私がお会いしたのは4名程です。1人日本語と英語が話せる女性のスタッフがいらっしゃいました。 みなさん、とても優しかったです。 私が印鑑を作りたくて、お店がわからないと話をすると場所を教えてくれました。無事買うことができて、よかったです。 お部屋は、清潔感がありました。 バックパッカーにはありがたい、ハンドソープのとなりに洗剤までありました！ お茶も二種類、冷蔵庫もぬるくなくしっかり冷えます。 設備にもとても満足です！ 立地も古城の散策にもぴったりでした！ 五一街は、賑わっていますが四方街のバー街とは違いうるさくなく夜散策するのにも安心です。 朝食も付いており、美味しくいただけました！ 空港送迎もしてもらい、30分程で到着しました！ 滞在時間は短かったですが、スタッフの皆さんも優しく居心地のよい滞在でした。ありがとうございました！
• Shengli (10/5): Good location and service - -Location The location is really good. this hotel isn’t so far from Si-Fang-Jie. It takes about 10 min. It’s easy to go everywhere. -Room Comfortable and clean room. The hotel is lovely traditional Chinese style. But the rooms are renovated to modern styles, so I could stay there really comfortable. Essential facilities are equipped with rooms. -Service Really good service. The capacity of this hotel isn’t so large. That’s why staff always take good care of every guests. Whenever I have question or trouble, staff could help me so sincerely. Even when I makes tough requests at night, staff tried to meet the requests. One of staff, Jimmy was a really good staff. He can speak English. I always asked him about everything. Most local people can’t speak English, and I couldn’t communicate with them. But Jimmy solved every problems instead of me. He arranged one-day-tour, booked taxi, guided me around old town. Perfect hospitality.
• Joystick (10/5): Nice hotel - The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is inside the old town and no cars are allowed. We contacted the hotel and got the directions before we arrived. We just called the hotel when we arrived outside the old town and the hotel sent someone to pick us up. When we arrived at the hotel we were served the Chinese tea. Tiffany was the one who demonstrated how to make the tea. She is very nice and helpful. Overall we had a wonderful time and would recommend this hotel to our friends.

• Alan (10/5): Excellent hotel. Great Staff. - The hotel is conveniently located in a quiet alley close to most attractions in the Old Town. The room was clean and modern. The best part was the staff who were extremely friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Tiffany who personally showed us around the Old Town, offered travelling tips, served us Pu'er tea while engaging in interesting conversations whenever we were free at the hotel and even kindly gave us an oxygen cylinder (to reduce the effect of high altitude sickness) before we head off to Shangri-La (Xianggelila). Overall, one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had.
• LLL (10/5): Very nice hotel in the old town - Very nice hotel in the old town, close to all attractions in a quiet street. Very friendly staff. Special thanks to Tiffany and Dara who were very attentive to all our requests. Dara (Miaomiao), the master of the tea ceremony, was always smiley and very helpful with recommendations for tours and restaurants. She personally took us to the bank, restaurants and around town. Highly recommend this hotel to all future travellers.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel. Best customer service ever. - The hotel is locate at a quiet area yet just 2 min walk and you will be one of the busiest tourist shopping area. The receptionist Ann is wonderful. She offered me Chinese tea (freshly brew) whenever I arrived the hotel. She offered me touring tips and basically arrange everything for me. I have been a frequent traveler and have stayed at many hotels around the world, This is the best customer service ever. It may not be a 5 stars hotel, its customer service supersedes all the 5 stars. One important tip, call the hotel around of time so that they will arrange someone to pick you up at the main street, or else, you will get lost in the LiJiang maze.
• Ian (8/5): Lovely little spot - The hotel is in the heart of the Ancient Town, but at least is off the beaten path enough to not be a victim of crowds out front. The staff courteously met us as our taxi dropped us off and led us through the labyrinth of alleys we'd have had a hard time navigating solo. We had a lovely check-in with copious amounts of tea and conversation. The courtyard is charming and the breakfast was lovely. The staff helped us book tours, bus tickets and seats for a local dance and music show. Our room was an upgrade complete with a wonderful little private garden. The room itself was very well-appointed and pleasant, but a little creativity was needed to plug in and use the tea kettle, the phone was out of order and the TV remote was quite buggy. It's a small hotel, so any issue was easily solved by the staff a few meters away. I would not recommend sharing a room with someone who you are not on intimate terms with - the bathroom is part of an open floor plan and the toilet and showers have only a partial frosted glass pane around them. Not an ideal set up for many non-couples. Otherwise, it's a very charming hotel in a bustling spot!

• Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent Staff - The staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. The room itself was not really convenient. The bathroom is incorporated into the room. From previous reviews, I was prepared for a bathroom in the room but separate and with a door and privacy blind. That is not the case here. Luggage storage was also a nuisance.

• James (10/5): Boutique hotel in Old Town Lijiang - Nice little hotel. Great staff especially MK. Comfortable rooms with a nice big bathtub. The only downside was the quality of the breakfast. There were three set menus available. I tried all three over the three days I was there. The Western style breakfast had undercooked potatoes. The Local breakfast with noodles was lacking flavour and served with an overcooked boiled egg. Seemed like staff were never prepared for it to be busy, so always waiting for coffee, bread etc to be topped up.
• bran (6/5): 5 nights stay in 3 different rooms - we booked for 5 nights and was confirmed by Expedia and notified that we don't have to re-confirm with the hotel. we sent an enquiry through email one week after the booking made, concerned about an airport pick up arrangement. then we were first notified that we had to stayed in another hotel next door for 1 night in the middle of our stay although they would upgrade us to a better room. it was one week from our departure and we had to accept it to avoid the complications of hotel change in the last minute. when we arrived, we found the upgraded room was just a tiny backyard attached to the ground floor room where the air conditioner compressor and a set of outdoor furniture were placed. the guy who brought us to the room emphasized that we had been upgraded two grades which was unusual and we should be grateful about. he didn't know that we were almost forced to move around rooms until we told him. basically we had to pack and unpack everyday because we had to stay in 3 different rooms due to their availability and one room was a new hotel next door which the room door was not even could lock properly. the three girls from the hotel were helpful though, but the guys like to argue with the guests when something was asked. the pictures on the website look much bigger than the actual.

• Steven (10/5): Nice hotel right in the old city of Lijiang. - Very good location, close to restaurants and shopping. Tiffany and Dara were exceptional in providing service, including restaurant suggestions and serving tea. They both made our stay a very memorable one. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to others.
• Sini (10/5): Todella hyvä/ really good - This small hotel is located just a stone throw away from the center of Lijiang ancient town, so the location is perfect. The room was big and clean and the wifi was good. However, the staff was the best thing of all. When we arrived we immediately got some tee and were greeted nicely with good English, which is not so typical in China. They helped us with everything we needed, including free laundry and booking our bus- and train tickets. The breakfast was also great. This hotel was really a positive experience in every possible way.
• TL (10/5): Good location, amazing staff - Good location inside Lijiang ancient city. Amazing, friendly and helpful staff. Note that the hotel is inside the ancient town so it is a bit difficult for travellers who carry big suitcases. You are also supposed to pay the ancient town fee before you can go into the ancient town and reach the hotel, but if you arrive before 8am or after 7pm you will be able to get in for free.

Hotel staff made some great recommendations which we tried and were very satisfied with. Breakfast choices are great, and the brewed coffee is pretty good. They also offer free fruits for you to help yourself to throughout the day if you are feeling hungry. There is a tea corner where the staff very kindly brew different types of tea for you to try, including the famed pu'er tea. Hotel staff are all helpful and friendly. Most importantly, the room is very spacious and clean. Bed is extremely comfortable too. Highly recommended!
• HK (6/5): 清朝の高官の住居をリフォームした静かなホテル - 当初、清朝の役人の住居として建築され国民党時代には将軍の住居として使われたとのことだが、ロビーでは中国式茶道でお茶をふるまってくれスタッフも親切だった。ただし、日本人客はほとんどいないようで中国人、海外在住華僑や欧米人が主たる客とのことで中国語か英語での対応となる。日本語は通じない。私たちが宿泊したホテルの部屋は部屋の奥にバスタブが置かれほとんど素通しに近い状態で設置されていてカップルでの宿泊なら問題はないがそうでない場合はプライバシーの面で難しい印象を受けた。シャンプーなどはもちろん洗剤も備えてあったので洗濯もできた。

• Verified traveler (10/5): Friendly staff, nice design and affordable - We arrived at the hotel one day later than expected due to flight cancellation. We were impressed by the interior design and welcome tea. What's more the staff at the hotel helped us every step of the way in arranging the transportation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would like to give credit to 阿木 who was very friendly, helpful and has an excellent command of English. One minor disappointment was that there was slight leakage in the bathroom and there were a few friendly critters around (which I can entirely forgive given its location). Overall, it was a pleasant stay!
• William (8/5): Best staff in Lijiang! - This hotel is located within the Epicenter of Old Town Lijiang. The location was perfect and the staff exceeded my expectation. Upon arrival we received a free upgrade to their best suite due to a mix up with Orbitz booking. The room was just as its pictured and includes a very nice breakfast (accommodation for vegetarian diet a plus). After touring through Beijing and Xi'an coming to Lijiang was a nice change of pace with many outdoor adventures (including Yanzi River near Tibet). The staff helped us with free airport pickup and drop-off even though we forgot to provide advance notice upon our arrival. The staff also directed us to local eatery's with local prices and suggestions for sightseeing. All in all the staff made our experience a 5 star stay.
