- David (10/5): Helpful, pleasant staff and a great location - I stayed for two nights on a solo trip through China and received truly excellent service from Zhu Shuangqin and the team - they truly went above and beyond to help me arrange a trip to a neighbouring town. The hotel was very nice and very well located too. I would recommend staying here if taking a trip to Zhangjiajie.

- Di (8/5): Good but old - It is a five star hotel but must have gained its reputation decades ago. One can clearly see its glorious days. Very convenient location for taking the cablecar to Tianmen Mountain but facilities are a bit out of fasion and need a renovation

- William (8/5): Zhangjiajie Huatin hotel stay. - Shower drain was a little slow. Room was overall clean and well maintained. Room key lock mechanism failed on 2nd day of 3 night stay. But the problem was fixed fairly quickly. The location was good. We were pleased overall.

- Christian (6/5): Needs a makeover - Outdated hotel everything needs an upgrade and make over. I was charged 50 Chinese dollars because I left a key in the room. The restaurant was decent but pricey for the food we were served. The one nice thing about the hotel was that it was close to the Tianmen mountain ticket agency.

Broad Hu, in particular, helped by organising a guide at short notice and changing my travel plans made by a third party to make the project a success.

Lost of confident about china hotel. Room request more drink water get extra charge so bad it’s so called 4 stars hotel? Please don’t go to this hotel. Don’t recommended.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Easy to get to from the airport. Central to city, close to bus / train stations and cable car for mountain. The rooms are large and spacious but the chairs and stool in this room needs to be replaced or re-upholstered as they are showing signs of wear. If this hotel wants to attract more western visitors then the reception staff need to learn basic English. whenever I tried to communicate the staff member had to call over a colleague who understood a little English. English speaking staff in China are a big asset in attracting western tourists.
- Sonya (6/5): Good location - Arrived late at night, and the lighting was very dim and the hallways very dark, we did not think it was a 5 star hotel, it looked uninviting, however with the light of day we did see that it had potential. "No smoking" signs were ignored. English was not spoken and communication was difficult. Room was big, clean enough but did find something left by the last occupants. Close to shops and very close to the cable cars up to Tianman Mountain. Area comes alive in the evening with activities across the road at the square.
