Guest Reviews
- Gail (10/5): A surprise arrival - The lodge had had a fire 4 months previous that we were not told about when we made our reservations. You can imagine our surprise when we got there, but the new property management worked with us to get us a condominium. It was lovely and comfortable and clean. They were very accomodating.
- Albert (8/5): - Great location.
Good mantis.
The sinks were laughable.
- David (6/5): If you like to shower...don’t stay here - Not very friendly. They charged a $60.00 cleaning fee for the room, but did not come in once in 3 days. Hot water had to be run for 8 to 9 minutes before it got warm. Great location but I wouldn’t stay here again.
- Herchell (10/5): National park trip - Great place wildlife everywhere location perfect will come back
- Brian (10/5): - Check-in was fast and simple. We were in an economy one-bedroom condo which was beautiful. Well-decorated, extremely clean and equipped with everything one could want (including an ice cream scoop!). The condo we were in was far better than the photos on the site, and I would have been happy with exactly the one in the photos.
Gorgeous location, well-kept grounds, nice pool area (can't comment on the hot tub as we didn't use it).
The main lodge building had been badly damaged due to fire and was closed, but that really didn't affect us so I am not factoring that into my review.
Comments on reviewed issues by other guests:
- Staff was very friendly upon check-in
- Used Google Maps and found the property easily
- Cleaning fee is clearly stated in the fees area on this site; if you don't read all of the information that is your fault, not theirs
We will stay with them again!!
- Jennifer (8/5): Make sure to ask about fees before booking - This was a really wonderful resort! The room was well appointed....the amenities were great and the view was incredible! I loved being out of the main area from Estes but still close to the fun. My only complaint is that there was a $60 cleaning fee not disclosed and my room had a hot tub....that costs $30/day plus a $30 cleaning fee. Had I known this in advance, I could have budgeted for it but as it was, I was unable to use it this trip! Other than that, I would definitely return!
- Christopher (8/5): - Enjoyed our stay in Estes and Marys Lake Lodge. My only frustration is that the water pressure in our until was extremely poor. When I mentioned it to the staff they said they would send someone to take a look at it.....And that was as far as it got.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great proximity to the Rocky National Park and excellent views. The hotel is a little outdated.
- Chris (4/5): no lodge at marys lake lodge - wish we were told that the main hotel and restaurant and bar burnt down.
- Holly (10/5): Beautiful - Beautiful place to stay. Its close to Estes but away from the traffic of Estes.
- Brianna (10/5): An amazing stay!!! - What an amazing condo and view! We were very impressed with the beautiful furnishings, great deck with wonderful views and hot tub! Would definitely recommend!!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful property. Very clean and there was wildlife right outside. On the down side the TV didn’t work the first day of our stay and the WiFi didn’t work at all.
- Monica (10/5): - It was very clean and staff was very friendly but there had been an accident with a fire in the main building. We should have been informed of this
- Woody (8/5): - A very quaint hotel in a quiet location. Convenient to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very pleasing - My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Mary's Lake Lodge. Parking was slightly confusing at first and we wish there was more parking closer to the hotel for those rooms versus parking for the cabins. We were not exactly sure where to go to check in but as soon as we walked up the front steps there was a staff member there to guide us where we needed to go. Check in was quick and easy. Their resturant serves great food with an awesome view and their public pool/hot tub is also great. The hot tub is the perfect temperature for a bit of a chilly or windy day. Would definately stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Love it! Definitely coming back!! - Beautiful, comfortable and roomy condo with an amazing view. I enjoyed coffee in the mornings on the balcony and watching deer cross the street right in front of me! Gorgeous views, perfect for my family with 3 boys!!
- Gary (10/5): Nice location. - Great view. Comfortable room. Furnishings were old and worn.
- Christina (8/5): Not the greatest - Condo was not in good shape. Price is outrageous once you check in you are told about the cleaning fees and hot tub fees per night. Great view, that's about it though.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - old hotel, poor to no street signs, old carpet and strange room layout. dining room pricey.
- Brenda (8/5): Springtime Marys Lake Lodge visit - We always enjoy visiting Mary's Lake Lodge. The "Delux Condo" was OK in comparison to other accommodations we have had. The beds were super comfy. We were disappointed that the resort does not open the Hot Tub until summer.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Area - The area is so beautiful. Our room was much smaller than anticipated. But since we were there only to sleep - it was so bad. I'd probably choose a condo next time.
- Mary (10/5): Estes Park has it all👍 - We were there 4 days for a nieces wedding. We had so much fun exploring the area. The wedding was beautiful. Everyone who worked at the event were friendly, helpful and very attentive to everyone’s needs. The food was excellent and venue perfect for a wedding. Our condo was soooooo comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked and enjoyed fixing full breakfasts each day. You’re so conveniently close to shopping and restaurants. We went to Safeway the first day we were there. They have everything one can need. We loved the River Walk and visiting the Stanley Hotel. We will come again but not in summer, to stay again💕We even found a lovely church to attend. And they were so friendly and recommended places to see.
- Verified traveler (10/5): breathtaking view - fantastic, perfect accommodation, breathtaking view
- tammie (10/5): Wonderful stay - Stayed in a 2 bedroom condo with a hot tub. Very comfortable and roomy!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lodge great, time of season - Mary’s lake lodge was amazing! The local area was mostly closed the time of season we went highly recommend going in the summer time!
- Sara (4/5): No Staff to Reach for Help - I landed at 10p in Denver during a snow storm. I tried calling the hotel to see how roads were and they were closed. I had a voicemail with a mention of a key under a mat, but when I got to the hotel after my hike the next day (did not want to risk an accident since I could not confirm the roads were okay and saw the next morning there was lots of ice) I saw it would have been very hard to figure out where my room was in the big complex without staff there. The campus is well maintained and if I had arrived earlier I'm sure I would have liked my experience. As it is, I don't feel it's okay to not have anyone to reach at night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Beautiful views & mountain feel - Loved this place! Beautiful views & an old historic feel. Cozy mountain feel.
- Jose (10/5): Christmas vacations - Friendly staff, every body was so helpful when I had a questions
I will recommended to family members.
- Randall (8/5): Great place to just get away - Pros: beautiful scenery, very quiet area with little traffic, lodging was very clean and was recently updated
Cons: these are privately owned lodges and was told the owners can have their personal stuff there and locked up without giving the main lodge access so I had no grill to use even though it was advertised i would, our hottub was not in working function but we did ha e a massive jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom, you must go to the main lodge for any supllies as there is no room services
- Verified traveler (4/5): Room was not as shown on website - Room was a total disappoint as compared to pictures on website!! As was hotel location. Very disappointed! First staff member encountered was rude.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A fun get away. - Condo exceeded our expectations. Cozy with a terrific view, modern.Estes is great for hiking.
Front desk was less than helpful, never returned calls.
- Leslie (10/5): Historical Lodge Stay - Great historical lodge
- J M (2/5): This hotel overcharged us - We booked through Expedia at $143/night for 2 nights. Computer was down when we checked out so they couldn’t give us receipt. We never received a receipt by email as promised so checked with Discover about the charged amount. To our dismay we found a charge of $417.60 for the 2 nights. We plan to contest the amount.
- Dan (8/5): - For an older hotel it was quite well kept we had a little trouble with the room being stuffy at night but opening a window and turning on a fan took care of the problem
- Mary (10/5): Beautiful and quiet - Beautiful accommodations with beautiful views. Will recommend to friends
- Kaitlyn (10/5): Amazing views! - My husband and I got married here last year so we came back for our one year anniversary! They actually remembered us which I thought was very sweet since they do so many weddings! They gave us a huge discount on our room, they surprised us with champaign at dinner one night! It was all as great as I remembered! They have an amazing brewery onsite which we love and really delicious food! You won't be disappointed!
- Terrance (2/5): Do not stay at the lodge - The hotel did not have a sign by the road. Front desk was not helpful regarding early arrival. Room was smaller than Microtel. Room had window AC unit that was screwed in and you could not close window despite 40 degree overnight temps. Window at on roof with large, loud AC unit that sounded like it was in the room with you. Hot tub was not cleaned so I spent 10 minutes cleaning out hundreds of bugs. Heat did not work and they never responded to requests to fix. There was no elevator so we climbed 3 flights of stairs with luggage.
I would rather had stayed at Motel 6 and would never return.
They did display many awards for hosting weddings.
- James (8/5): Pleasant Stay - Stayed for a couple of nights by myself before the rest of my family arrived. The room was clean and comfortable. The views from the hotel decks and dining area were great. The food at the restaurant was also very good. Nice place to go to if you want to be away from the bustle of Estes Park and RMNP.
- Sonja (10/5): Beautiful view - Beautiful view from the lodge! Great food and drinks at Tavern 1929. the rooms were clean and bed were very comfortable and the staff were all very friendly. I would definitely stay there again!
- Alex (8/5): Hotel okay, would stay again in cabin - The resort as a whole was absolutely beautiful, from the scenery, to the venue, to the tavern inside. I didn't get to see the insides of the cabins but I think any future stays would be in there instead of inside of the hotel. I understood it was older, but the room was a lot smaller than expected and the beds were a bit uncomfortable. Beyond that I would definitely stay here again. Not too far from Downtown Estes, but far enough away to get the camping in the Rockies feel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not what we expected - Our room layout was nice enough and the bed was comfy. But the sitting room and bedroom are cooled with cheap window air conditioners. The bedroom AC was so loud it rattled walls and made it impossible for my wife and I to talk. The sitting room AC was normal for these units so we turned off the bedroom unit. The windows don't open (the ACs are in them) so the ACs are the only way to get comfortable. We were there only one night so not worth the hassle of moving. But disappointing.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Signage is poor. Hallway carpets are smelly
- Joseph M (8/5): Mary's Lake lodge - Room was in main, old building so it was quaint. Seemed clean, but floors were tilting to the windows, which was a bit disconcerting after a little wine. Resturaunt was very good and value for price was good.
Bed was comfortable in the two room suite.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very roomy, clean, comfortable. - More beds than expected. Kitchen well stocked. Bathrooms eere spacious. Washer and dryer with soaps.
- John (10/5): Loved it! - Really nice and clean inside and out. Definitely a place we'd come back to.
- Gary (6/5): Be careful - Part of our issue was we made a last minute reservation. The hotel is in a beautiful spot and most rooms had a nice view. We got the worst room in the hotel. There is a group of rooms in the back of the hotel facing a hill and other rooms. Not the great view you see in online photos. We got the extra treat of being near the dumpster and all the related noise it brought.
That first evening we realized the fireplace did not work. I called and was told maintenance was gone, to call in the morning. I did and they said they would come out and fix. Never happened. When I told the front desk person about the fireplace upon check out he seemed like he could care less.
The rooms are fine. We spent a lot of our time while at the hotel at the pool so we could enjoy the view.
Be careful, book ahead to guarantee room location and be prepared to have to push the staff.
- Philip E. (10/5): Beautiful place!! - Property was beautiful and the staff were great!!
- April (8/5): Positive outweighs negative - Was a handicap accessible room so my 6'3" husband had difficulties bending down to use the thermostat and sink and stove plus it was unexpected. Also the guy at check-in was kind of a jerk. He actually said, "you break it and you buy it" at checkin. Such a welcome... still the unit itself other than the carpet stains, missing tile on coffee tables, cheap wobbly skillet, and only decaf coffee was a more positive experience than negative. Truth.
- Al (8/5): Great view and nice room - Our 2 bedroom condo was the perfect place to see and enjoy Estes Park. Close to the city yet away from the crowd. The view was memorable, the rooms pleasant and the facilities nice- kitchen was nicely furnished and bathrooms pleasant also.
- Char (6/5): Beautiful views and a wonderful pool but rooms no - Mary's lodge was beautiful from the outside however the standard queen we paid for 219$ with tax was appalling. I have stayed in nicer days inns and I would never pay that much. Our room was literally a box with a window that looked onto another window. It was right above the grease trap and when the window ac unit was on the smell of something similar to bacon grease came in and stiphled us. It was so unpleasant, do not stay in room 218. I went down to ask if we could move and one man told me we couldn't so I went back up but later on I asked again and luckily we were moved to room 208 which was much cleaner and didn't smell like a meat locker. The first room also had no bed skirt, and the night light didn't work. The second room seemed cleaner, the night light worked and we could at least see the sky from our window, I'm curious to see what the rooms with views looked like, I hope nicer. There was also no ice bucket to be found so we got some from the restaurant.
- Pam (8/5): Lake Mary - Lovely and clean...wish we could have opened the windows. The beautiful morning sun was bright and heated up the room more that the little window air-conditioner could handle. The outside temperature was cool and the fresh air would have been great.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Estes Park Mary's Lake Lodge - Extremely small room next to kitchen ventilation fan. Noisy and grease smells.
Not a good value for the price.
- Rachel (8/5): Beautiful views, rustic lodge - We enjoyed our stay at Mary's Lake Lodge. The view from our room was gorgeous. It was very close to the RMNP which we wanted. The pool was good and there were many hot tubs to enjoy. All the staff, including the property manger Aiden, we're courteous and very welcoming. We really enjoyed this place.
- Amos (10/5): Cozy comfort with a lovely view - We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo at Mary's Lake Lodge and loved it! It was a beautiful space with plenty of room for our family of 5. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals and enjoy the beauty of Estes Park. There was even a washer & dryer. We loved it so much, we asked to stay an additional night and the staff worked diligently to make it happen, even during peak vacation season. The pool and hot tub were favorites of our kids, as well as the fire pit in the pool area. It was a quiet refuge away from the hustle & bustle of downtown Estes Park. We took a memorable hike around Lilly's Lake after the recommendation from the staff, our kids marveled at the wildlife! I highly recommend Mary's Lake Lodge and would not hesitate to stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Loved this place! - An amazing property for sure. We stayed in a two bedroom, two bathroom, living room, kitchen condo. It was very clean, comfortable and safe. Cooked on the grill, loved the puzzles and guest book. Didn't know about the $60 cleaning fee added to the bill or that we had to bring own soap and that towels / shampoos wouldn't be refreshed each day. Would stay here again, though for the location and comfort.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We reserved condo 19B for 5 nights. We had 2 experiences with the front desk and both were not friendly, one at check in and one when we stopped by to ask about the shuttle service and other amenities. Upon check in no one went over the amenities with us. They didn't tell us about anything that was offered on the property. He did have me sign a contract and Hot tub usage form, but when I asked for copies, he seemed put off that I would want a copy of them. When we asked about the bus route he said he didn't know anything about it, but had the route map sitting on the counter.
Our unit didn't have laundry available (it was locked) and also the tank for the gas grill was empty. When we called to ask about these things we were told that it was a private unit so they couldn't do anything. They couldn't contact the owner or give us the owner's contact info. I have rented numerous houses and condo's and there is always a contact available, and in most cases a book of where to find things, what to do, and what not to do. The unit itself was very clean with Very nice furnishings. We loved that it was 2 miles from town, so close to everything, but not in the middle of it. The restaurant on site was also wonderful. Great food and prices. Our waitress was wonderful.
- Susan (8/5): - Great historic inn, cute pool and hot tub. Mtn views.
- Laurie (8/5): Lodgy type hotel - AC was lousy. Never cool enough. Also, a mon pm wedding. Would have minded the loud music to 10.45 but we'd been up si. E 4.30 am. Would have asked for a room farther away.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice - Old school but very fun place. Staff very helpful and friendly
- Angela (10/5): Estes Family Vacation - Family vacation wad great. Lots to do in the area and wonderful food options. Denver Airport was an easy drive as some of our kids flew in. Can't wait to return next year!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - condo was in a really good location, close to the national park, the condition of the condo was not the best for the price, took concerns to management and they took care of us, would stay there again
- carol (6/5): Old hotel in the mountains - When I arrived, they did not have my reservation, I booked through Expedia. They were able to accommodate me but I had to move rooms the second night. Old facility. Not updated. Broken and chipped tile in the bathroom. Old carpet throughout. Basic amenities only. Had to call and ask for a cover for the bed. Very average. Would not stay there again. Staff friendly.
- Lisa (6/5): Nice condo but AC didn't work and too much noise - Economy condo we stayed in was near pool and restaurant and bar and wedding facility with a wedding on our first two nights. Condo space was nice but, the AC wasn't working so was hard to sleep with windows open to outside noise. We asked to fix AC, but staff was not super responsive. They were full and not able to move us to a different and quieter condo. This was our 2nd summer staying here but was much quieter and better service last year.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very Dated - Being in a mountain town we expect the accommodations to be dated but this place was beyond that. The carpets are filthy and it really needs updated for the price they charge. My biggest complaint though was we booked a room for 4 adults and the pull out couch was maybe a twin size. Certainly not big enough for two adults.... not even two children! My oldest son had to sleep in his truck as there want even enough space on the floor to sleep. This room should not be classified as a king deluxe suite by any stretch!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): OK stay - It was ok. Bedding was comfortable; bathrooms clean. AC was noisy. Although hotels.com room info indicates that a microwave is available in the room, it is NOT; there isn't one in the main lobby either and the folks at the reception could not help us with our request to warm some milk. The hotel building itself is old and it shows. Walls are thin and you can hear neighbors' televisions. Wifi works well. We did not use pool etc.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice accommodations clean & beautiful views. The room is separate from the hotel area.
- Danny (8/5): Great views and cozy retreat! - Just a stop over before heading into the park. It was very nice and I would definitely come back and stay longer. Really liked the restaurant and bar.
- Brenda (6/5): Disappointing "Policy" - We have stayed at Mary's Lake Lodge many times & love the resort. We have stayed in the largest most luxurious condos to the more basic rooms. This time we were in a Lodge King Suite which was just fine & as expected. I was very disappointed however when we asked the restaurant located in the same building as our room if we could use 2 wine glasses to take to our room. Unbelievably, their answer was sorry NO, but they could provide paper cups for us to use. What?! In all of our travels, I have never been declined this request. Bad policy Mary's Lake Lodge.
- Tami (8/5): Great accommodations - Loved the setting and amenities. Worth the price. Wish I had known up front about the $60 cleaning fee. Water pressure in shower; however, was awful. But would go back.
- Amanda (8/5): Great views - Condo was amazing. Great views, ammenities, and a quiet place to relax. The staff at check in and in the restaurant were not friendly.
- Darcy (10/5): Cabin with hot tub - Overall great place to stay. Our cabin was clean and very comfortable. Plan on staying there again next year!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent views, comfortable condo, great location - The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. They provided all the information we needed to enjoy our stay. We had an issue with the smoke detector during our stay, but the staff provided a comp on the room rate when we checked out with no hassles whatsoever, which was very nice. The tavern waitstaff were a little less skilled then we would've liked them to be, but still very friendly nonetheless. The food in the tavern was very good and the presentation was good as well. Portions were ample. Overall, it's a great place to stay if you want to be somewhat away from the in-town tourists, and the entire place with the views and location are very peaceful and scenic. Definitely worth the rates and the time we spent.
- Amber (4/5): Dark and dull - The room needs to be updated you could hear everything your neighbors said. The room was dark and did not have a view of anything. The bedding and bath linens were clean and offered frequently. Next time I would get a cabin and not a hotel room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Annoyed - The stay would have been great but when we got in, the battery was low on the smoke alarm. We called maintenance since it was after hours (1am) and they said there was nothing they could do. So, we tried to sleep but it beeped all night. Terrible service and no offer to comp the night or a meal. Ridiculous.
- Peg (10/5): Perfect family getaway weekend - The only complaint I have is that the condo we rented was said to have an oven and it was my daughter's bday weekend, so I was going to bake her a bday cake. We arrived to a room with no oven, only a cooktop. The staff said we could move rooms, but I didn't want to go to the trouble of moving all of our belongings around. It was nice that they offered to move us. The condo, other than the tiny fridge and no oven, was BEAUTIFUL!! They even had a small vase of flowers waiting for my daughter's 7th bday celebration. Just so sweet. Staff, including the bartender, were all wonderful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect location with great views - We stayed in the 2 bedroom condo with the hot tub and the room was fully equipped with everything we needed. My husband, the 3 children and myself slept comfortably here. There was a pull out couch as well that we put the 2 little ones on. It was definitely enough room for a family of five. It was a beautiful stay!
- Courtney (8/5): Beautiful view - View and location was amazing. Not being able to control the room temp was not the best. Shower and some amenities are a little older in style. Overall a nice trip
- Laura (10/5): We love our condo! - We stayed in a condo for our anniversary, and we were totally satisfied and impressed with our accommodations. It was tastefully decorated with a rustic decor, very clean and everything worked...including the hot tub, washer & dryer, dishwasher... Access was easy, and we enjoyed a beautiful view from our covered deck. The elk chops at Tavern 1929 were cooked to perfection! We will definitely be back!
- James (10/5): Mary's Lake Lodge is amazing! - Our stay was amazing! We could not be happier! Great place, great staff!
- Ashley (10/5): - We had originally booked the room with a hot tub and unfortunately due to storms those rooms had gotten damaged. They were very apologetic and upgraded us to a larger condo with a jacuzzi bathtub. The rooms were beautiful and had amazing views. I definitely plan on staying here multiple times in the future.
- Meg (10/5): Nice winter escape - We visited in the spring before most of the Estes Park activities were open. The condo at Mary's Lake Lodge was an awesome place to relax. We grilled out on the deck, sat in the hot tub and watched the elk walk by. It was a quick drive to Rocky Mountain National Park and many of the hiking trails.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Desperately needed R&R - The wife and I had a very rough week, emotionally and physically, so we decided at the last moment to take a mini vaca and head north. To make a long story short, the staff and the condo were absolutely spot on. We crashed out pretty early from the drive up and woke around 0430. We decided to venture out into the acuzzi that was on the deck and stare at the stars and watch the sun come up. . . MIC DROP!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Great mountain view - Rent a car at the airport if you stay here. The taxi service in this town was a rip off. They overcharged terribly so don't rely on a taxi to get around! Uber and Lyft will drop you off here but aren't around for rides.
- Sandy (10/5): Wonderful Condo! - We had a beautiful Condo! My sister and I loved the spacious condo, we each had our own bedroom (very comfortable beds) and bathroom, loved the fire place and the deck with a beautiful view. What a large open living and kitchen area to cook some of our meals. It had all the amenities you could want and more. Was great to have a washer and dryer however we never used them. Everything was very clean and tidy and had beautiful decor in all the rooms. The first morning our toaster burned our toast on one side, the coils didn't work on the other side. I called up to the front desk and they brought us a new one right down. For the most part it was quite, but the people up above us when they would walk was very noisy, also you could hear the hot tub run all the time when we were watching TV in the living room at night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The 2 bedroom condo was great. Good selection of beers and good service at the tavern. The food was disappointing, just go into town for food, you will find much better options.
- Caryssa (8/5): Beautiful view - Beautiful and comfortable. But we got shocked every time we touched something like a light switch or the mini fridge also, the hot tub was closed during spring break... but I would go back. :)
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice rustic lodge with a view - We enjoyed a nice weekend get a way at the lodge. Room was average. Tap room and restaurant were great. No breakfast in winter was disappointing. Overall we enjoyed the lodge
- Paige (8/5): Relaxing getaway - We were impressed with the cleanliness and the fact the condo was thoughtful stocked with kitchen and bath items. We ended up eating more at the condo than eating out. The views were beautiful!
- Ruth (10/5): Best view ever! - Beautiful historic lodge. Exceeded expectations. Great place to be stranded in a snowstorm!!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great get away - We really enjoyed our stay the condo was clean and well stocked for cooking. You can't beat the views. The staff was friendly and the food in the restaurant was great. The Elk chops are amazing. The bartender Mike took great care of us.
- Luke (10/5): Excellent value and property - Amazing property in a perfect setting with every requirement catered for and to. Just a perfect three day break living in 10 feet of snow and seeing the area.
- Luna (6/5): Mixed review - We were a late arrival and picked up our room keys in the night box. Walked into a room that hadn't been cleaned. Unmade bed, trash cans filled to the top, dirty towels in bathroom, etc.. the linens on the bed were filthy. No one working at the front desk to assist us with the issue. Luckily we keep blankets in our car during winter months that we could go and get to sleep with and try to avoid contact with any of the hotel bedding. Hotel did comp our room for that night. Very interesting historic hotel with excellent food in the restaurant.
- Steve (10/5): Extremely comfortable room with awesome hot tub! - We so enjoyed our stay! The room was nicely decorated, the kitchen well stocked and having 2 bathrooms was a nice extra. The bed was clean and super comfortable and having 2 fireplaces made the suite very cozy and inviting. We also enjoyed having the hot tub right outside the door and the views were amazing. We even caught a clear night to enjoy the stars.
Would definitely come back again!!

- Cynthia (4/5): Extremely Disappointed - Booked delux king suite -jetted tub - come to find out only in bridle suite - no bridal suite advertising on hotel .com page - beautiful breakfast menu left in room- no food- no cook - it is off season - no off season quoted on hotel.com web page - One hotel employee disagrees with other on hotel price in front of me and my husband.
- Diana (8/5): Great hotel - The room was great!
- Edward (10/5): Relaxing weekend - We had a very relaxing weekend. The accommodations were perfect.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful place with a wonderful view - Rented a 2 bedroom condo with hot tub over Christmas, what a gorgeous place to stay. Very clean, decorated beautifully, awesome view. Hot tub was also wonderful. Only if Mother Nature would have cooperated. Still had a wonderful time and would definitely go back
- Kara (10/5): Colorado Condo - Originally booked a room inside the lodge, but the staff was nice enough to give me a last minute upgrade to a condo. The condo was 2 bedrooms and SO nice! My fiancé and I enjoyed the mountain colorado decor and the whole place was amazing, complete with full stocked and functional kitchen and a hot tub! Was a great time, and we are actually getting married at Marys Lake Lodge next spring so we are super excited to come back!
- SIddharth (8/5): Nice hotel/lodge. worked ut great for us! - We loved our 5 night stay here; Connor at the front desk was really helpful extending our stay by a day when we had an unexpected trip to the ER after a day at the park. Loved the view out of our front door. the rooms were well stocked and the kitchen was complete. We didn't have to get a thing in reality. a little ways away from the grocery store and the restaurant but I'll trade the mountain views for a 5 min drive away day of the week. One thing lacking was hot water! we had to lug buckets of warm water to give our kids a bath as the showers weren't predictable and that was something we needed in 30F weather. Also, considering that this is nestled among the mountain beauty, there should be a way to recycle. We had to lug all our recycling to the national park visitors center and then later dispose the rest of it at a whole foods in Boulder. i understand this is more of a city thing than the hotel but still.
