• Roland (10/5): - What hidden gem in a stunning environment! Rooms a as they should be. Friendly helpful staff and owner. Donny gave us a tour, what a stories, view next to him being an extraordinary person. We loved it all and will definitely be back!

• Catherine (10/5): - We stayed one night here. The property is very isolated as many places are in Namibia. The rooms are individual bungalows. Ours was very clean and well maintained. It had air conditioning which we did not really need - it did sound quite noisy. We ate in the hotel for breakfast and evening meal - both were excellent. We were given a map for a walk in the local area. We also used the pool - the area around that was nicely set up.

• Katrin (10/5): - Sehr schöne Lodge, tolle Außenanlage, schöne, ruhige Doppelhäuschen, alles sehr sauber. Das Restaurant im Haupthaus ist in der 1. Etage und hat somit eine schöne Aussicht. Das Essen ist super, das Personal sehr freundlich! Der Inhaber ist ein passionierter Mountainbiker, vermietet auch MTBs und es gibt tolle Trails rund um die Lodge (schon anspruchsvoll) Unbedingte Empfehlung: der Sunset Drive mit Johann. Es gibt zahlreiche Infos zu der Farm und der Gegend, einen leckeren Sundowner bei spektakulärem Himmel und eine Begegnung mit Wildpferden. Wir haben uns sehr, sehr wohlgefühlt in Kleinaus Vista!!
• Max (10/5): Lovely lodge in good transit position - Having worried that I should have stayed in Luderitz, when I visited that town, I was seriously glad that we had opted for Klein-Aus Vista. Lodge is very pleasant and our cottage was comfortable and well appointed. Food and service were excellent - I had a fabulous kudu steak.
• Richard (10/5): - A lovely setting with spacious, modern and very well equipped rooms. The shop, bar and swimming pool were ideal. Access to the main road was easy allowing day trips to Luderitz, Kolmanskop and the Desert Horse viewing area. Our only concern was birds in breakfast servery which would be easily remedied by a light screen over the entrance. Overall would recommend highly.

Die Küche ist spitze, das Essen war fantastisch! Mein Gericht (Ente) war wirklich etwas ganz besonderes und mit all den liebevoll zusammengestellten Zutaten eine wahre Geschmacksexplosion :-)
• Christian (10/5): - Great Western style lodge near Aus, perfect for day trips to Lüderitz and Kolmanskop, as well as a stopover to Fish River or Kalahari regions. Very clean, friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms. Food is excellent.

• Colin (8/5): - I had camped at the Desert Horse Inn campground on a visit to Namibia in 2005. It was an enjoyable experience. Passing through again in 2024, I was curious to see what the villas were like. Ours was clean, reasonably spacious and comfortable. Dinner was in the main building. It was a cold night and the restaurant was full of Germans. My wife remarked it reminded her more of an evening in the Bavarian Alps than Namibia. Some dollar saving advice: I am a vegetarian, so the buffet, which is the main, rather meaty, offering, didn't suit me. Instead, I ordered from the excellent vegetarian menu. The meals on that menu were half the price of paying for the buffet, but quite substantial. Klein Aus Vista is a nice place and worth a night if passing through.
• Stephanie (10/5): - Super Hotel mit schönen Zimmern. Von hier aus kann man gut einen Ausflug nach Lüderitz unternehmen. Das Essen war sehr gut, vor allem das Beef!

• Angus (10/5): This is an amazing place to stay. - We loved everything about it! Great food! Spectacular scenery and very comfortable.
• David (10/5): - The Reception, Restaurant and Bar were very attractive and in an elevated position with views over the surrounding countryside and mountains. The pool was in a sheltered position at ground level, with lots of sunbeds and seats in the shade. Accomodation was in individual chalets set around the hotel with pleasant shrubs that survive in these dry areas. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Meals were self service and not quite as good as freshly made food but appropriate for a large hotel
• Helena (10/5): - Vi var 2 nätter på den här vackra platsen. Välordnat och bekvämt rum med en uteplats med bord och två stolar. Därifrån kunde vi njuta av solnedgången.

• Naomi (8/5): - We had a room for 4 people with one bunk bed. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool area is really nice to sit and enjoy the last sunlight of the day. The main area for eating is on the second floor and has a nice vibe. The only thing was that warm water was only available during the afternoon since it was warmed by the sun and then it was only lukewarm.

• Kurt (8/5): - Sehr freundliches Personal, gute Lage, viele Aktivitäten werden angeboten, super leckeres Essen, idealer Ausgangspunkt für einen Tagestrip nach Kolmanskoop, Lüderitz und zu den Desert Horses, unbegleitete Wanderungen möglich. Das Zimmer war groß und sehr sauber. Es wird großer Wert auf Umweltfreundlichkeit und effiziente Wassernutzung gelegt. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Mooie hike gedaan vanaf de Lodge. De trainee bij de receptie was erg aardig en behulpzaam (dit in tegenstelling tot de andere medewerkster).
• martin (8/5): A nice stay - The room was basic but clean. The hotel is in a good area just outside of a small town. The restaurant and bar area were lovely and all the meals we had were delicious.

The restaurant was excellent - it was cosy and friendly and served some of the best food we had in all Namibia! The staff were very friendly and helpful and made good suggestions for activities and advice on travel to our next destination..

• Verified traveler (10/5): Stay at desert horse inn - Lovely place to stay with lots of marked walking trails in the vast area of Klein Aus vista. Lots of bike trails too. Accommodation great with own veranda and public area with swimming pool. Easy to do a trip to Kolmanshoop and Luderitz. Good buffet evening meal very reasonably priced.

• Pati (10/5): Sehr nett und liebevoll eingerichtet! - Die Lodge macht einen wirklich sehr guten unser gepflegten Eindruck! Unser Zimmer war sauber! Alles hat bei uns gepasst, die Eigentümer sind sehr bemüht und achten auf die Details. Wir hatten sogar Kerzen in Zimmer für einen romantischen und unglaublichen Sonnenuntergang auf der Terrasse. Leider ist das WLAN an seine Grenzen gekommen. Bedingt durch viele Gäste war es nur bedingt nutzbar.

• Thomas (8/5): Great property, no AC=potentially hot rooms - Beautiful setting, great food and easy access to view horses in the area. The only gripe would be that the room was quite hot due to no AC in the rooms. Overall the property was worth the money and I would stay again

• Tim (10/5): Geweldig verblijf met prachtige omgeving - We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad in Klein-Aus-Vista. Het uitzicht en de omgeving zijn prachtig en de kamers (desert-inn) zijn zeer ruim en netjes. De sundowner tour is van harte aan te bevelen. We zouden terugkeren naar Klein-Aus-Vista.

• Verified traveler (8/5): gemütliche Lodge zum Wohlfühlen - Die Lodge besteht aus vielen kleinen Einheiten, jeweils mit eigener Terrasse. Man kann direkt vorm Zimmer parken. Alles ist sauber, ordentlich und liebevoll ausgestattet. Das Abendessen ist sehr lecker und der Service aufmerksam. Auch das Frühstücksbüffet ist vielseitig. Die Lage ist perfekt für einen Tagesausflug nach Lüderitz und Kolmankuppe, dem Besuch der Wildpferde und ein sehr schöner Zwischenstop zwischen Fish River Canyon und der Weiterreise Richtung Sesriem.
• Ingrid (8/5): Schöne Anlage in ruhiger Lage - Zur Begrüßung gab es einen Willkommensdrink. Unser Zimmer bzw. Ferienhäuschen lag praktisch und ruhig. Es verfügte über ein Twin-Bett, Sitzgelegenheit, Kühlschrank, Ventilator (Keine Klimaanlage) und kleiner Terrasse. Die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber gepflegt. Das Wasser wird mittels Solar aufgeheizt, d.h. abends ist das Duschwasser am wärmsten, da dies über Nacht wieder abkühlt. An der Rezeption konnten wir uns einen Föhn ausleihen. Das Abendessen gab es einmal in Buffett- einmal in Menüform. Beides mal war es sehr lecker und der Service aufmerksam. Auch das Frühstück war für Namibische Verhältnisse sehr reichhaltig. Die Lage ist sehr abgeschieden. Auch in Aus direkt gibt es nicht viel zu sehen oder gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Die Lage ist aber perfekt für einen Tagesausflug nach Lüderitz, zum Wandern oder dem Besuch der Wildpferde.
