Guest Reviews
- John (10/5): - Owner came to greet us because we took a wrong turn out of the parking garage a few blocks away from rental unit. Parking garage is necessary because property was in historic district. Steep roads to property were a bit of a challenge for my wife and I especially with luggage as we are in late 60’s. Would strongly recommend if you don’t mind the climb up the hill
- marion (10/5): - The host was extremely accommodating, he was helpful with attractions in the area and suggested great places to eat. Comfortable room, quiet and very clean. Highly recommend.
- Chris (10/5): Brilliant Stay - Owner hugely helpful and very knowledgeable about the area, emailed a lit of Information. The place was ti die for with brilliant amenities like a rooftop area to enjoy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice stay - Nice rooms. Friendly staff.
- david (10/5): - Our host was superb in every way. His accommodations are beautiful and the mattress on the bed was a gem
- Peirson (10/5): - Very nice 3 room B&B without the breakfast!
Difficult to drive to and no where to park, we parked at a parking lot then walked to our B&B, many dining options within walking distance , staff were all very friendly, an area to make tea/coffee and to get a little snack
Would highly recommend
- Mrs A (10/5): Great place to say - perfect location. - Really good location close to the main shopping street (so good for restaurants etc) but also within easy walking distance of the bus stop. Lovely place to visit. Easy bus transport to the temples.
Accommodation was spacious and clean and there was a lovely shared terrace. Host was super friendly and welcoming and no problem us arriving outside of the normal check in times which was very helpful.
- MARTIN (10/5): Good central location - Central location, clean modern room. Warm welcome from Giuseppe. A good choice for a short stay, and good value. Layout of the building is unusual with the rooms all leading off from a central office/lobby. Great nearby restaurant is Sal8.
- Kristen (10/5): - Host was super easy to reach and communicate with. Convenient location. Only issue is parking is pretty far away with luggage but still a great stay.
- Enrique (10/5): - Ubicación ideal en el centro. Un poco conplicadonoara aparcarcar cerca. Cómodo, espacioso, limpio. Muy buena atención y recepción. Sitio estupendo
- Kathleen (10/5): - Property is on a side street and parking would be a challenge, but the owner was great with oroviding options nearby. We did not have a car, so not an issue. The place is really cute and the owner very friendly and helpful. There is a kitchen with water, coffee, etc. Available but for breakfast it is recommended to go to one of the nearby bar/cafes. Perfect for what we needed as a one night stop in Agrigento.
- ROBERT (10/5): - Great location and help from our host
- Aaron (10/5): - Even though we arrived several hours early, our host met us to let us on the room. An oasis just off the main road with lots of shopping and restaurants
- Aleksandr (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at BB in Agrigento for one night. The room was private and clean, with very comfortable beds. There’s a nice living room/kitchen where you can meet and hang out with other guests. The rooftop offers an amazing view, and the location is perfect for exploring the town. The host was incredibly accommodating and easy to reach, with excellent communication throughout. She made sure our stay was smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended.
- LiElla (10/5): - Great stay for our group of 3 couples.Very comfortable. Plenty of dining options nearby. Parking is about a 10 minute walk from the apartment.
- Lisbet Pors (10/5): - Skønt lille B&B med dejlig roof top. Kan varmt anbefales!!!
- Christopher (10/5): - Beautiful rooms recently renovated
- Christopher (10/5): - Top quality rooms and very convenient part of the old city. Easy walking to historic sites and transportation , bus and train station very close
- John (10/5): - Giuseppe the host was very generous with his time, giving us suggestions and answering questions. The B&B was very clean and the bed was comfortable. He also allowed us to leave our bags behind after check out so we could have more time in Agrigento before catching the afternoon train to Palermo.
- Demetre (10/5): - Immaculate condition. Helpful host. Convenient and close to all amenities.
- Rosemary (8/5): - The property was modern & spacious, not easy to find tho'.
- Carmel (10/5): - This is a well positioned b&b which is close all the sights. The owner was most accommodating. I highly rate this accommodation
Carmel and Peter Apap
- Korrie (10/5): - The place was great the ammenities all You need and spacious, upon arrival my gps took us another way where we were lost and did no feel safe we had to drop our bags off and was not getting clear direction we tried to follow procedure form the host but our maps were not working it was a bit scary but once we found the right way it was safe and quite busy at night with many people at restaurants and bars. Everything is walking distance.
- Maria (4/5): Buena experiencia - Muy amable anfitrion. Sitio limpio. Bien ubicado.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place to stay - Had a great time in Agrigento and Signo D'oro was the perfect place to stay. The location is ideal in the historic town with plenty of restaurants and shops to enjoy. Special thanks to Giuseppe.
- Randall (10/5): Great little b&b - Charming, quiet B&B on a tiny street just steps from the main street. Great location, super clean, strong internet. Highly recommended
- john (10/5): - This was an amazing place to stay....spotlessly clean....even had a roof terrace with tables and a sofa....and the view was incredible.
Thanks Giuseppe....i will be back
- Patricia (6/5): - This place was okay for a night or two. The location was great. It was very basic. It does not have breakfast in case you think as a B & B it might have that. Not sure what the second B stands for. Pigeon poop everywhere outside so hard to sit out and relax. Very difficult to get in there with car. Have to park quite a ways away. The host was very nice though and it was fine for the two nights we were there.
- SEVERINO (8/5): - Very nice accommodation and excellent orientation provided by host. Host all was very responsive when messaged!
- Kevin (10/5): - Brilliant… one of the best places I’ve stayed in Sicily ! Owner was extremely helpful and kind ! Excellent location.
- Brandon (6/5): - We had trouble getting to the b&b. The back streets around the b&b was very dirty try to avoid them.
B&b itself was clean and cozy
- Christophe (8/5): - Un peu bruyant et sans cachet
- Kalliopi (10/5): Υπέροχη επιλογή - Υπέροχο δωμάτιο, φιλόξενη διάθεση, πληροφορίες για την περιοχή, ωραίες παροχές και μέσα στο κέντρο το ιστορικό
- Cathy (8/5): Cathy - The couple who run it are very nice and friendly. He speaks a fair amount of English. She barely speaks English. The rooms were nice, the location, though hard to find, was excellent for visiting Agrigento.
The breakfast part of B$B fell flat. We went out for breakfast.
- Arthur (10/5): - I had a very pleasant stay at B&B Sogni d'Oro
- Bradley (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay in Agrigento at the B&B Sogni d’oro. Well located just off via Atenea in a quiet area. The room was well appointed and our host was very helpful. Highly recommended!
- Douglas (10/5): - We stayed 2 nights at B&B Sogni d'Oro and were very satisfied. Communications with the host were timely and clear. The room was quiet and comfortable and provided us a good base from which to visit the Valley of Temples and the historic part of Agrigento.
- Xuan (10/5): - The owner greeted us at the door and check-in was smooth. The property located right off the main street and was safe and quiet. The room was clean and big. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Offsite parking was 5 min walk from the property. No breakfast. But it had a full kitchen and you can make your own coffee and tea. Overall, a great stay!
- Olimpia (10/5): - It is very homey atmosphere clean spacious and a warm and welcoming staff
- Kevin (10/5): Great, central b&b - This was a last minute stay due to a medical emergency on the part of my wife. Everything went perfectly. The room was very comfortable, the location was very central, which was exactly what I wanted and the hotel was excellent value for money.
I also really appreciated the owner providing a complimentary bottle of water and coffee pod. There were also tea, biscuits and other snacks available throughout my stay.
I received a great restaurant recommendation for dinner, too.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A little gem in Agrigento - Absolutely loved this spot! Perfectly and conveniently located right off the main street, but still absolutely quiet. The bed and pillows were some of the most comfortable I've ever found in a hotel. They were very accommodating of my late arrival due to a missed train, and my little dog. They also referred us to a wonderful driver that we used for one short day trip and one extended journey. The facilities are modern, clean, with nice amenities. Highly recommend!
- Thomas (8/5): - Good value for the price. Very quiet. He went out of his way to pick me up at the train station after hours. The only issue was there is no breakfast at this property.
- Maurice (10/5): An excellent stay - The accommodation at Sogni d'oro is modern, impeccably clean, and very comfortable. All the arrangements for staying there were very clear and, after our arrival, the owner spent time explaining what was available to be seen in the Agrigento area during our stay -- and this was much appreciated.
The cleaning of our room was very efficient, the staff courteous, and the whole experience extremely positive.
All in all, an excellent stay!
- Shusaku (10/5): Well recommended place to stay! - It was clean and centrally located hotel.
Very close to restaurants and cafes.
The staffs are friendly and helpful.
Well recommended place to stay!
- David E. (10/5): - Great place, clean great view from terrace in common area.
- Shirley Anne (10/5): Friends in Sicily - The host was helpful in meeting us. Much appreciated. Sat on the rooftop terrace. Purchased breakfast. Memory foam beds awesome. Bathroom very nice but nowhere to put anything. Fridge and kettle helpful.
- Kamyar (8/5): Much better from the inside than out! - The place is a bit hard to find and parking in practically nonexistent. However, the accommodations inside far surpass what you imagine from the outside. The place was super clean and quiet and the location is great.
- Vito (10/5): Lovely - Very lovely room and place, 1 minute walk from main Street in Agrigento. The hostess great and very helpful with all information and check in. Highly recommended.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - the property is really nice and in a great location.
The hosts Ilenia and Giuseppe couldn't be nicer and
were very helpful. Their rooftop deck is an excellent bonus.
Only spoiler alert is finding the checkin location is a little
tricky, but their info on the website is spot on so be sure you
have it with you, the address alone on your gps is not enough.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great stay at Sogni d'oro and had sweet dreams. Lovely staff, very helpful, and comfortable room
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property is clean and comfortably. The breakfast was good. Giuseppe is a wonderful host.
He was very helpful. The location is perfect. Easy access to the shopping and restaurants.
We have no complaints.

- Nancy (8/5): - The property was very upscale and modern. It was very comfortable - 2 bedrooms on the lower floor and 1 upstairs with lovely balcony areas upstairs which you can access separate from the bedrooms. The downstairs has a living area for all people staying at the B&B. Irena prepared a wonderful breakfast for us prior to our visit to the Valley of the Temples, which was very close by. We had rented a car, and parking in this area was a problem, so we parked in a garage, which was suggested. It was a few blocks away, and walking in this area is a challenge - hilly and few sidewalks. We came to Agrigento to visit the Valley of the Temples and were so glad we took the time to do so.
- paola (8/5): Great place - Nice place to stay, clean and friendly. in a good position and the landlord is easy to talk to.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Apart from the fact that the check in is complicated, everything is perfect.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We had a lovely stay in a spotlessly clean room, conveniently close to the centre and we were made to feel very welcome. Our room had a small balcony. In addition the house has 2 roof top terraces.
- Val (10/5): Beautiful refurbishment of a central property. - The quality of the property is excellent and we had a lovely room on the ground floor. We also took breakfast here one morning as the weather was not suitable for breakfast on the roof terrace. The property is just off the main street and it was a pleasant walk along Via Atenea to restaurants and cafes. The roof terrace is available to guests at all times and was a pleasant place to relax after visiting the surrounding sights.
- Ann (10/5): Comfortable B & B in convenient location - We had 2 nights at B&B Sogni d'Oro to enable us to visit the Valley of the Temples. The location is walking distance from the Bus terminal and close to shops, bars and restaurants. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast excellent. We chose the savoury rather than the sweet option but both are generous and good value.
- stuart (10/5): Great! - Lovely hotel and staff. Can't fault it!
- Gabriel (10/5): - Exactly as it looks on the pictures. Recently renewed rooms with good taste and respect for historical architecture.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good for one night in Argento to visit the temples - I stayed at the B&B for only one night, to visit The Valley of the Temples. The room is very comfortable and the location is excellent. I had a bit of a problem with the check in, since there was nobody in the designated address. I was lucky enough that somebody who knew the owner was coming in and so they called him and sorted things out. But there was some waiting involved and there was no prior communication related to the check in. The closest parking is 10 minutes away walking, but you can stop close to the B&B to drop your luggage first. Finally, breakfast was disappointing and not close at all to what appears in the pictures, just very basic stuff. But, again, the room is really excellent.
- Richard (10/5): Hidden Gem B&B in Agrigento - B&B Sogni d'oro is a "hidden gem". Nice modern facility inside an historic building in the old city center of Agrigento, Sicily. Very comfortable rooms in a multi-story facility that has decks on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Spacious bathroom with bidet and large shower. Excellent breakfast served on the 3rd floor deck. Owners speak English well enough to communicate effectively with English speaking customers. Very close to the Agrigento train station and locations for auto parking (nonresidents have very limited access to the city center areas which are quite narrow). Give Giuseppi a call when you arrive in town and he'll give you directions to this GREAT B&B.
- James (10/5): Great B&B - The B&B is clean, functional and modern. The bed was very comfortable and I got a good night sleep. The roof top terrace has a great view of the Valley of the Temples. Giuseppe was very helpful and was right on time meeting me for the check-in. I'd highly recommend B&B Sogni d'oro.
- Kevin R (10/5): Heart of Agrigento - Great place to stay. Very close to the heart of Agrigento
- Thomas (6/5): - We arrived in Agrigento at night. We followed the GPS and tried to find the hotel, but the GPS did not bring us to the correct street. We stopped and asked three different people who gave us three different directions. After parking the car and walking around the streets for quite a while, we gave up and went to another hotel.
- Steven (8/5): A little disappointing - The building was beautifully presented, breakfast was great. The room whilst well presented was not the same as in the hotels.com photo, it was a little cramped. Sadly the building is on the edge of a derelict area and that was the view from our window. Whilst it was close to via Atenea, the main thoroughfare of the old town, we were uncomfortable with the surroundings of the b&b. The people were very friendly and helpful, but would hesitate to recommend.
- susana (6/5): poor breakfast - We expected more of this b&b after seeing the high score it received in hotels.com.
Getting there was a real hassle and once we had found the place we had to look in another b&b for someone to check us in. Partly our fault since we did not have a working cellphone when we got to Agrigento.
The room was a little cramped for three persons. Since we were the only guests having breakfast we had a very limited selection of choices and we felt this to be our poorest breakfast in Italy.
- pierre (8/5): Nice place in the middle of old town - Great stay at Sogni d'Oro. The room was modern, convenient, comfortable and clean. Guiseppe is a caring host.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice Stay! - Small, quaint B&B in a quiet part of town, yet close to restaurants, shops, and train & bus stations. Room was spacious, comfortable, and had the amenities needed. Hosts were great, as they provided info on area and accommodated some food allergies with the breakfast provided. And the view from the top terrace is gorgeous!
- Helen (8/5): Comfortable accommodation in a fantastic location - Giuseppe was very helpful when we couldn’t find the B and B. We were very pleasantly surprised by the standard of the rooms and the availability of two terraces. Very well maintained and we would certainly come back.
- John (6/5): Great location, great room below average breakfast - Very good, modern B&B right in the heart of Agrigento. Finding it is a little hard as the roads are very narrow and you cannot drive to the front door. You are forced to park with the hazard lights flashing in the main street and walk your bags to the B&B. This is not possible after 17.30 on any Saturday and all day Sunday. so make sure you make good arrangements with the B&B owner before arriving. The breakfast is all sweet things. No plain yoghurt and nothing savoury. Apart from some small items of fruit most of breakfast is sweet tarts, sweet croissants, cakes etc. Even the "yoghurt" is full of sugar, no plain yoghurt and definitely nothing even vaguely healthy. Dissapointing given the B&B is otherwise so good
- Emma (10/5): Highly recommended - Giuseppe could not have been more helpful, taking plenty of time helping us to work out the best intinerary for the little time we had. The place was extremely well kept, and the room charming and very comfortable. The breakfast was ample and very tasty on a terrace with a view of the valley and sea.
- John (10/5): Superb apartment - Lovely apartment with extremely friendly and helpful host. Breakfast on the roof top terrace with views of the sea was delightful as was a glass of wine and olives in the evening.
The only downside is the lack of any parking nearby - and don't believe TomTom that you can get close to the apartment unless your car is less than 1.5m wide!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fantastic breakfasts and wonderful host and staff. We were picked up from a cafe near the bus station and checked in early. We were able to leave our bags when we checked out. The top balcony has a lovely view.
- CEJNYC (10/5): A GEM!!!
- VERY helpful staff, extremely clean and spacious room, great location. Will likely return & use this hotel as my base for exploring this part of Sicily. I wish I could have stayed longer.
- Janelle (10/5): Clean, comfortable - Everything was great, the manager was very accommodating and helpful. A little hard to find as nobody seemed to be familiar with the street, so it's best to use the the cross street address given as a reference point.
- The Holts (10/5): Very modern. Friendly hosts. - Located well just off main street of Agrigento. Excellent view from terrace above. Good breakfast on terrace. Room very modern and comfortable. Hosts very friendly and helpful
- Anne (10/5): Great B&B, very central - A very good stay, charming and helpful host who explained everything down to ringing up taxis for us. As well as being comfortable, with excellent en suite bathrooms, it was lovely and quiet, and a great view as you ate breakfast on the terrace. We loved it.
- Glenn (10/5): Great Place and Great Value in a Fascinating Town! - We arrived late in the day, driving up through the narrow winding streets up to the top of this ancient city on a hill overlooking the Valley of the Temples (aka Valley of the Gods). We could not find the place so we went to a cafe and showed the address to the proprietor. He called our host, a very pleasant and welcoming young lady. She came walking over and met us there and then helped us find parking and get situated. The room was very nice, fairly new and very pleasant and comfortable. The breakfast on the terrace with an amazing view was good- simple but with everything we needed including some good coffee. But what is most fantastic about this place was it's location right in the heart of one of the most fascinating cities we encountered in our explorations of Sicily. It was also the most reasonably priced place on our entire trip, considering the first rate accommodations and location. All things considered, I could not rate it higher.
- deliana (10/5): Excellent hotel - The hotel was wonderfull, very clean and modern. We loved it. The host was friendly snd the clean girl was excellent.
- Warren (8/5): B&B Sogni d'oro - Agrigento - DO NOT drive your car into the street where the hotel is located, it narrows to less than 6 feet and the car will nor pass. The B&B was very clean and tidy. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful, they will spend what ever time is needed to orient you to their city
- camilla (8/5): - It was a great stay especially if you enjoy shopping. The breakfast was excellent too.
Everything was as described, new and clean. It would be nice if there were a kettle or microwave oven for guest use.
- Matthew (10/5): Recommend - A grest hotel with ocean views from the terrace. The room was large and balcony was great. It is right next to the main area and everything was close by. To the other side away from the nice area it quite rundown but I traversed that area daily to where I parked my car on the street and never had an issue. Service was great and both the manager and employee were extremely helpful in planning things to see and places to go. I would stay again if I go back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Highly recommended ! - Beautifully renovated house with top quality fittings throughout and great attention to the smallest details. Free chilled water always available and home cooked local specialities for breakfast. Very friendly owner and staff. Stunning views of the bay from the terrace ! Excellent restaurant 20 steps away.
- Nikola (10/5): Beautiful small hotel in the hearth of the city - If only we knew the hotel will be that good, we would have changed our plans to stay at least one more night.
No other way to describe it - simply perfect.
The only shortage was incomplete information about the procedure of reaching the hotel by car. Namely it is located in the walking area and without hotel stuff assistance it is impossible to reach it by car.
If coming by car call to hotel before you loose your temper trying to come to it by car.
