Guest Reviews
- Katherine (8/5): Very nice place for a short stay. I could imagine reserving a couple of these homes with a group of friends. I would con - Property was well decorated had all the things you’d need for a short stay. The tiny home came with an equipped kitchen and even a small grill outside. The rooms were clean, space was cute, and a fun experience. Not much to complain about. Property was as described on booking.com.
- Blair (10/5): - It was neat to stay in a tiny home that actually felt quite large. Room was comfortable. NA
- William (10/5): - This place was awesome. Easy to access, right off Hwy. I absolutely recommend to anyone who wants to have the tiny house experience and still be in a place that is full of beach towns. There were three adults in our place and it accommodated us just great.
- Abby (10/5): Great grounds and plenty of space inside too! - The grounds were beautiful. The “tiny home” was spacious enough to give everyone their own space. Loved the full coffee bar and a kettle for the stove! 10am is an hour earlier than standard check out time at hotels, and my family really had to rush to get out of there on time. It’s probably fine for most people but we really felt it.
- Mike (10/5): Great facility, well kept, very cozy - N/A
- Gilker (10/5): Absolutely loved our stay! - The location was great...just outside of Tillamook. Property was clean and quiet. It was a wonderful stay and within a short walking distance to the bay. I don't think anything could have been better. The tiny home was just as described and very clean and well taken care of. For a small home, it has a full sized refrigerator and kitchen.
- Wyatt (10/5): - Such a cute, quiet location. The cabin was clean and equipped with everything we needed for an enjoyable and cozy stay.
- Linda (8/5): . - Cosy, clean, several nice details Would have loved some USB ports for charging
- Sheena (9/5): Loved this Tiny House! - This is a not-hotel. We stayed in a Tiny House, lots of cosy comfort. We had everything we needed and we loved having our own little cottage in the woods. The bed takes up most of the floor space in the bedroom (we stayed in tiny House #1), and it was a struggle getting round it to the far side of the room.
- Bailey (9/5): Lovely little stay, especially for the price! - nice clean space! was pleasantly surprised that it had a full kitchen where we could make dinner as I had forgotten that when booking. The couch was a little old/scratchy which made it less comfortable to hang out at but not a major detractor - overall still a very positive experience
- Natalie (9/5): What a cozy and peaceful place! - We chose this location so that we could stay one night of our coastal trip AWAY from a beach and a standard motel/hotel. This tiny home was great! It was quiet and peaceful. I loved the outdoor patio area and garden-like setting. The kitchen seemed well stocked, although we ended up not using it like we had planned. The layout of the bedroom is tight and it’s a little tricky but doable to maneuver around the bed.
- michael (10/5): - Nice and clean. Enjoyed our stay.
- Marcia (10/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return. - It was an adorable tiny home with a delightful facade. It even had a private fire pit area. The owners thought of every amenity! The only 1 tiny downside was how tightly the platform bed frame fit into the bedroom. One had to be careful not to bump into the corner of it. I hate to even mention it because everything else about the property was so superlative!!
- Laura (10/5): Darling and cozy tiny homes in a lovely setting - Our tiny home was very cute, well-maintained and well-appointed, and we felt very welcomed. The hosts communicated well and had thought of everything to make the place comfortable. It was easy to get in and we were able to park conveniently on site. We had a quiet, relaxing time. Both the indoor and outdoor areas of the property are lovely. The ceiling in the loft in our unit (#5 The Cyclist) was very low, perhaps 4 foot, so there is little clearance for anyone adult-sized. There is now washer and dryer - with that, we would have found it perfect.
- Eli (7/5): Nice place but needs a little tlc to be worth the money. - The location was great, staff were friendly, we were able to check in a little early and plenty of amenities for a night in. There was some mold on the baseboards in the bathroom, the sofa bed could use a good cleaning and there was a used q-tip on the table when we arrived. At this price point we just expected a little more.
- Shelby (10/5): Excellent choice if you’re traveling to Tillamook! - Quaint tiny houses that has every possible amenity that a traveler will need! Very well appointed! We loved the hummingbirds, and the well thought out gardens to attract birds making it feel like you were tucked into a little forest. That we don’t book two nights and only stayed here one night!
- Kelsey P. (10/5): Perfect stay in Tillamook - Everything about this place was perfect. The hosts were communicative and made check-in easy. They make great use of the space, and everything is very functional (the kitchen isn't too tight to cook in, they had any utensil we needed, the bathroom is big enough, etc.). We loved that there were two sleeping spaces and thought the loft was very cute.
They included things to use the firepit and BBQ, and left instructions on how to get to the water/bay just down the road (prepare to walk through high grass, but it's so worth it). Couldn't have been better.
- Eva (10/5): -
- Sandee (10/5): - The property was beautiful. So many beautiful plants and flowers. The tiny house was comfortable and adorable.
- Bernadette (10/5): -
- Su Hsiang (10/5): - Very clean and cozy tiny house. Inside they offered pretty much everything.(like cooking, baking utensils, spices, popcorn) For outdoor small table and chairs for relaxing...nice small gardens to enjoy. None
- Rasmussen (8/5): - Very tight space in bedroom.
- Serhii (8/5): -
- Anna (10/5): Cozy and beautiful tiny home! - We really loved this tiny home called the Birder house number 1. It was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. It had everything we needed for our stay, and the staff were super friendly they even allowed us to check in early. It kind of felt like we were staying in a cabin, and we really liked the heaters and kitchen. The hot water only lasts about 15 minutes, so we were told, but it wasn't a problem because we took super quick showers.
- Colleen (9/5): Superb - Location, parking, tiny house layout I usually get a printed receipt with itemized charges at check out. Since the communications were all by text (except for one printed page taped to the front door AFTER arrival), I requested that receipt by text 1-2 hr after departure and never got a response by text or email.
- Tammy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Concepcion (10/5): Exceptional -
- Becky (10/5): 8 yr old Grandson and I loved our stay! - Clean, quiet and absolutely adorable
- Dianna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amie (1/5): Nothing but stress and anxiety and owner whoever needs to relax, the place ain’t worth the drama or chaos - When you give a person an 11 am check out and bang on the door for a half hour before its even 11 and you have to clean the place or get charged $100 it’s pretty shitty..!
No I would not recommend this place to anyone or would I ever want to stay again.
Customer service has a lot to do in the hospitality field.
Horrible.
- Annette (9/5): Cute tiny house that doesn’t seem so tiny- it’s bigger on the inside! - Beautiful grounds, convenient parking, comfortable living space, smart TV, close to attractions. Wished we had more time in this area Hot water tank is small so plan your showers. There is barely any room to get around d the bed on the lower level and it’s a bit hard - you just have to be careful when getting up in the night if you are on the side of the bed furthest from the door.
- Lori (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daphne (7/5): Good -
- Cynthia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vincent (9/5): Superb -
- Marjorie (8/5): Very good -
- Natasha (8/5): Very good -
- Doug (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. Only negative thing is the bed frame thickness made it more difficult to navigate the bedroom (sharp edges and corners).
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Georgia (10/5): Excellent! Hope to return in the future! - We loved the property! What a little jewel we found for our girls stay! Everything!
- Caseys351 (10/5): Exceptional - The unit was clean and comfortable with all the features I needed. The main bed was not as comfortable as I’d prefer.
- Denise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bridget (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful, safe, quiet paradise along Highway 101. Tiny home with all the amenities along with a marvelous staff. You won't want to miss this place. Leaving...
- Julir (10/5): Wonderful, can’t wait to come back. - I simply cannot say enough nice things about The Sheltered Nook at Tillamook. It is obvious that the owners actually thought about what your experience is like when you stay there, thoughtfulness in all the details, right down to the beautiful garden outside our windows. My husband LOVED it and wants to come back with a group of friends and rent cabins together. Honestly really don’t have any negative feedback.
- Amanda (10/5): Great place to get a way as a family. - The staff was wonderful, The tiny home was comfy and clean and had everything we needed and then some. My kids loved it. We just wish we could have stayed longer. The only thing that could make this better would be if it were on the Bay or the beach. But it's a great woodsy setting and quiet!
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional -
- Penny (8/5): Very peaceful. Close to the bay. Nice getaway from the city - Cute place. Lovely grounds. Check out time of 10 am. Sparse silverware.
- Dawson (9/5): Superb -
- Cindy (10/5): Exceptional - Relaxing and peaceful. Very cute place. Nothing
- Melinda (9/5): Superb - The cabin is located on a lot with 5 other cabins with parking close to the cabins. The cabin was clean and new. The location was quiet and close to the 101. It had a nice kitchen.
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michele (10/5): We loved the beautiful property and would love to stay again. - We enjoyed the atmosphere and the quietness of the property. The location was great. This was our first stay in a Tiny House. It was a unique experience. N/A
- Patrick (10/5): Highly recommend, this is an excellent place to stay to enjoy the stunning coast of Oregon. - Awesome tiny house, very clean and well maintained and everything is organized nicely to make best use of the small space so it felt bigger than it was. We had 4 including 2 teens and did not feel cramped. Great location close to Tillamook restaurants and shopping to the south and nice coastal towns and fishing to the north. Beautiful grounds with full garden beds and nice paths to stroll the area, with trails nearby. Great little spot so glad we found it! We loved the place it was awesome and no complaints, but just be aware it is a tiny house as described, so loft ceiling is low so ok for kids but a challenge for anyone too tall.
- Seth (10/5): Cute little home near lots of attractions and hikes. - Private cottage in a quiet location. Very comfortable bed and close to many hikes and attractions. Weather was great so we spent all our time outside exploring. We only planned two days...would have liked to stay at least one more.
- Gerald (8/5): Very good - Kitchen Low ceiling (4 foot) in loft bedroom
- Krystal-marie (10/5): Hidden Gem! - Everything! Nothing
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hoyt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pia (9/5): We loved our stay . Check in process was easy . Hosts were easy to communicate with and responsive to our needs - Loved the area, the garden
And the setting Bed was a little uncomfortable
- Ilya (10/5): Very nice place, very well stocked, nice people. Loved it here and would definitely stay again! - Very cozy Nothing
- Pat (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dino (9/5): Superb - The cabins are great, everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The location is perfect too. Good base for exploring the local coast. It felt like no-one was around much but it wasn't a problem really
- Richardson (10/5): They did offer me another tiny house to stay in. I would definitely stay here again. - Sweet tiny house. Very clean. There was a light that kept flashing
- Amy (8/5): The Sheltered Nook had everything we needed for a weekend at the coast. - First time staying in a tiny home. Very clean and well-maintained, thoughtful amenities. Enjoyed the amount of space, full kitchen, heat controls in each area. Outside seating areas on front porch and in back look like they'll be nice to use when the weather isn't as cold and rainy. Easy check-in and check-out, weren't asked to perform lots of chores before leaving. In the bedroom, the closet frame and bed were unusually close, we had to sidestep to move around.
- Trevor (10/5): Hidden gem that the large chains could learn from. - Clean and so cute. So many thoughtful amenities and fantastic attention to detail (popcorn, hot chocolate, loads of coffee, well appointed kitchen…) Nothing; it was great.
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Hayes (10/5): Exceptional -
- Looney (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roberts (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tammy (10/5): Great tiny home with everything you need and more! - Comfortable stay. Safe and quiet. Close to all the amenities we needed during our weekend in Tillamook. That our stay was too short and we didn't get to stay longer due to an unplanned emergency.
- Eric (8/5): Very good -
- Tamara (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (9/5): Comfortable and adorable tiny house. - This tiny house was well-decorated, comfortable, and completely furnished. They thought of everything! There was an upstairs with two beds that we did not use, but for a family, this would be a great additional benefit. We communicated with the innkeeper through Booking.com, or by text and were given the electronic code for the front door allowing us access. For checkout, we just texted our time of departure and received our final invoice via email. The shower did not have a lot of pressure, but really this is not a complaint. Also, if you are a very large person, this may not be a good choice for you.
- Jessica (10/5): Clean, comfortable, and convenient to attractions - Clean, with nice amenities Spare blankets would have been a nice touch.
- Jamison (9/5): A lovely, peaceful stay for our family of two ❤️ - Just a quaint little group of tiny houses in the most beautiful location. A lot of small things you wouldn't think to pack - very thoughtful hosts. We met the person who maintains the gardens and the inside of the homes and she was also super nice! So quiet and peaceful and we were thankful for the small heaters when the night got cool :) *Not a complaint* but just for informational - tiny house => tiny water heater. We were only able to get 15-20 minutes of hot water so plan accordingly :) This is documented in the property's notes but I don't think we knew it going in.
- Jr (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nancy (10/5): The tiny house didn't feel too tiny. Also very secluded because of the beautiful landscaping -
- Judy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Merilynn (8/5): A comfortable overnight in a tiny house, - Cute little "tiny houses", a well supplied kitchen. The host gave us a great recommendation for dinner. No complaints
- Alan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katie (10/5): Exceptional - Adorable, little house. Fully furnished kitchen. Lovely staff.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Susanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dorota (10/5): Perfect tiny house - Small but has all amenities and extra clean Nothing
- Elizabeth (10/5): It's basically a small community of tiny houses with their own charm. Lovely place. -
- Amanda (9/5): Superb -
- Petra (10/5): Adorable (larger) tiny home on beautiful property -
- Anna (8/5): Very good -
- Sonja (7/5): Good - The setting The hide a bed in #6 is very uncomfortable to sit on and sleep on. This was my 3rd stay and it keeps getting worst each time.
- Michael (10/5): Perfect. Great experience in a tiny home. Fun! - Neat, unique place. We’ll designed. Very well run operation.
- Casey (10/5): Exceptional - So clean and cozy!
- Nancy (7/5): Nice place but be forewarned about the loft. - The small cabin was very clean, quiet, and nicely decorated. The loft where the second bed is has an extremely low ceiling. Only a child would be able to stand upright in the loft but we were all adults. Perhaps I missed that in the description.
- Andrea (9/5): Superb -
- Lauren (10/5): Great overnight near Tillamook - The unit was larger than I expected a "tiny house" to be! Plenty of space to relax with TV, fix breakfast. eat, and sleep
Comfortable furnishings. Though we didn't have time to use them, the outdoor amenities (chairs, fire pit) were a bonus.
Easy check-in and great responsiveness. Nothing, it met our needs perfectlym
- Shelby (8/5): Cute cabin. Clean and up to date kitchen & bath. All the necessities in the kitchen. -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Everything Nothing
- Kimberly (10/5): Exceptional - A tiny house with all the comforts of home, including a full-sized fridge and oven. Only caveat is that the stairs to the loft bed are high so could be an issue for older travelers.
- Rochell (10/5): Exceptional - The tiny home was so comfortable and super cute. Everything was very clean, and the location was perfect! Everything was perfect, no dislikes.
