Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff were excellent
Property needs upgrading .........,
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Property was good, solid 3 star.
Staff customer service was poor from the young girls in the restaurant. The girls never smiled always grouchy when requesting a drink or food. They definitely need training.
Lina was really nice. Definitely made our stay more comfortable. Simple things like smiling and checking to see if we were ok went such a long way. Another lady that was there during breakfast time is nice, friendly and helpful as well. The manager was helpful too, changed our rooms when the air conditioning was not working.
Food was perfect.
Would recommend to others :)
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a very quite stay at Travelers Point. We stayed in the superior room. It was small but it was just right for two people, the queen size bed was very comfortable, and the AC worked well. The pool was very well kept, and all around the premises was very clean.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Everything is ok except the weekend, because it was very noisy until 1 o'clock midnight.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything was just perfect!!!!! Service was good, breakfast was just spot on time, the view from my room was just great!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great service! We arrived late and they checked us in and we were still able to get food from the kitchen. This was sooo gratefully received after a long day of travel!
- Etelagi (10/5): - We've stayed at many hotels in other countries and Travellers Point has been the most welcoming and hospitable place to stay. The staff and customer service is exceptional, always been greeted with a smile. It's a fabulous place to stay for families. It's not a 5-star hotel in regards to the rooms etc. but the service far outweighs everything else. Thank you Tuala and Sarona as well as your staff for making our Papa's 80th Birthday a memorable one.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The staff and management are the best. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was magnificent! Love the pancakes and jam sauce. This place is not flash, so dont go expecting 5 star amenities when you only pay for 3 or 4 star. BUT. This place is comfortable. Great atmosphere, and wonderful service. Thoroughly recommend.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great for short stay, preferred regular towel changes as they didnt replace the hand towel and bath mat when they cleaned room. Facilities and parking were good, they over charged early check in fee, paid more then what i paid for a nights accomodation to check in approx 4hrs early and room was ready. Friendly staff. Great pool.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I loved my room. Room no2! Thank you for looking after me. My only concern was the pool and families with kids. There is no safety gate around the pool since it's a inground pool. What if?
Anyways, my aircon needs a little twitching as it tends to be loud at times
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Really handy to the town and surrounding areas for good food restraunts.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful Pool. Free Cultural night. Free Breakfast
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Such good value for the price. Really enjoyed my stay and would come back
- Pratap (10/5): - Everything was there the way they have mentioned on website. Staff were really friendly and supportive. Beautiful environment. Would love to come back and stay over again.
- Jackie (6/5): - The hotel was far enough from town for us to enjoy some privacy and quiet.
- Christine (10/5): - Stayed here and definitely recommend it! Surroundings are beautiful as well as this hotel
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not what i expected - Breakfast was not what i expected and you rarely see any staff nor the front counter.
- Sophie (10/5): - Stayed here for one night only. Great budget accommodation. Very clean and tidy. Bought lunch and dinner from restaurant - excellent food and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended
- MARGRETT (10/5): AWESOME PLACE TO STAY - I booked two rooms, one for myself and the other for a family member, loved my first time at Travellers Point, hence why I booked again, I did check out a day early, but that was fine with me, always a pleasure seeing the lovely staff who served us first time round.
- MARGRETT (10/5): Place to be - Stayed here before and I loved it, loved it how the owner and some of the staff remembered me and my partner from the last time, I booked two rooms and both rooms were to our expectations and the face we could have an early morning swim as well, staff members catered to our needs and dinner at Travellers Point was also the bomb. Fa’afetai Lava Travellers Point will be seeing you again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Since it was my first time on the premises, I like the rooms and everything in the room, accept for the shower, too small to even bend down to wash my feet. the front desk area was too hot when we checked in and throughout the whole time we stayed at your hotel; the most sad part I didn't like is your hotel area near the pool and restaurant had too many down steps but not flat all around the swimming pool. My brother in law that traveled with me and my sister almost got into a fall accident in the pool near the kitchen and the entrance way towards the rooms and the waiting room due to too many down steps and not enough light there in the night. it's okay if it was daylight, but he missed the step cause he didn't see that there was a down step b4 walking on pass the kitchen making his way to your restaurant or the bar area. I thought that area was too dangerous cause if me and my sister didn't catch him when he slipped, he would have fall right into the pool. So, need more light back there and need to flat all that area, plus that back side is all woods and slippery when rain, and it rain the second day we were there. I like all your food and drinks.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Nothing very run down poor selection foe breakfast
- Verified traveler (8/5): - very courteous and accommodating staff..place was decent...food was good!
- MARGRETT (10/5): Amazing place to stay - Enjoyed the two days that we both stayed at Travellers Point Hotel, our room was clean, I was greeted upon arrival, the hotel amenities were beautiful, love the location, as most hotels/resorts would be almost next to each-other, whereas Travellers Point they stood alone, so not that much loudness around. We made the choice to eat in and the food was beautiful, the prices was affordable and the service from the bar and cooks was amazing. We will be booking again with Travellers Point Hotel for my birthday in June 2019 so its worth the stay. Its a shame I didn't get to meet the owners, cause the service provided by these employee's was above and beyond. Fa'afetai Lava Travellers Point Hotel, Seki a Samoa.
- Peter (8/5): Just one night - Just needed a night in Apia before flying out the next day. Hotel is simple but Ok, and staff were very helpful
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location and great hosts! Very nice and helpful.
- Aigaelua (8/5): Comfortable - It was good, the bed and the room was comfortable and the breakfast was nice also the people serving the breakfast every morning they were so friendly. It was our first time and we enjoyed staying there.
The only down part was the towel it had some kinda yellowish stains on it and there was no microwave but everything was perfect thank you so much for having us. We’ll come stay there again if we have the chance to visit Samoa again.
Thank you very much. GOD BLESS
- Clare (8/5): - Located on the boarder of the CBD which is great, close to everything but also easy to access without getting caught in the CBD traffic.
Our rooms were located next to the pool, bar/restaurant area. Can be very noisy in the evening with work parties, live band etc. definitely not a place for light sleepers.
Hard to find parking late afternoon through to the evenings due to customers coming to the bar/restaurant.
Service and staff was fantastic, and food was amazing.
Rooms were simple and had all the necessities and spacious, however if you were based on the bottom level you would hear all the noise from upstairs.
- chris (10/5): August 2018 - Had a great stay at Travellers Point (13 nights). Great to have breakfast included, which was cornflakes, weet -bix along with pancakes (coconut jam spread 👍)most mornings, other surprises too, and fruit. The meals in the bar were also very good, and price wise too. Love the open air bar, by the swimming pool.
The owners, and staff were all very friendly, and helpful .
The location was fine for us handy to have a bank, and taxi service just a few doors away.
Good size room, comfy and clean excellent air conditioning. And the price of the room was good too.
I'm sure we will be back 👍
- Steve (10/5): - I really liked staying with Joe and Serona, They and their staff make you feel very welcome and also the service with the smile is really appreciated. The location is good and the area is quiet and the music from the local church is beautiful. The bar prices are very reasonable and maybe a little bit too cheap, Joe's music is also very good and I enjoyed my evenings with various people enjoying the experience!
- Solo Dee (10/5): - The perfect getwaway in Apia. Not too far from the main city..for the perfect price!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - FANTASTIC
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Comfortable stay of two nights. air conditioning was definitely needed on the first night
- andrew (6/5): Comfortable hotel close to Apia - Just a quick stay while doing family business in Sa. Hotel a good base for access to markets shops transport T$3/5 to town or walk in 15, comfortable facilities - pools bar dj ok food and under twenty guest units so not crowded. Very helpful and friendly staff
- Verified traveler (6/5): - On check out I was told that I had not reserved the night I stayed. I wasn't too impressed.
Having to show evidence that the night was definitely booked.
In future, if there was an issue and the hotel had seen that I had not checked out on the correct date, I would've like to be notified just for my convenience and my reassurance.
- Ben (8/5): Ben - Although on a main road the very helpful owners generally only rent the rooms in back, which are very nice, and the property has a nice pool adjacent to its' restaurant and lounge area. I stayed here twice as the rate is very reasonable if you book on the hotels.com website, and the hotel offers airport shuttle to the main international airport at half the price of a taxi. It is located very close to the airport for the half hour flight to American Samoa, although about an hour from the main international airport.
- Tash (4/5): No warm welcome at this Hotel - Our flight was delayed so we arrived at about 10.30pm. There was a sin on the door to go into the restaurant as the office was closed but the restaurant was closed too. Fortunately our shuttle driver spoke to someone sitting outside and after a bit of a debate he reluctantly went inside to find someone. After about 10 mins in the pouring rain I walked through the hotel out of the rain... We were then ushered outside and upstairs to our room. When we enquirer about food we were told sorry kitchen is closed. We weren't even left some milk for a hot drink although we did get a cold water each. Our bed was adequate but small with minimal furnishings. In the morning we went downstairs for breakfast and the hosts were sitting at an adjoining table. They didn't even acknowledge us. The breakfast was Samoan with pancake and fruit... It was fresh and filled the gap. As an overnight stop it was ok but I wouldn't go back nor would I stay for more than one night.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - When we first arrived it was good especially having air condition was a big plus, the food and customer service was great, but with our room not been clean and service for 3 days was a big disappointment that I have to asked for my room to be service, we moved the beds to be put together to make one big bed and there was a lady underwear under the bed who knows how long ita been there, and under the beds were discussting we ran out of toilet papers kept asking for some more and another thing was the swimming pool so dirty we still use it but never seen it cleaned, big thanks to Lalokava and Joicy for making our stay a little better when they found out our room hasnt been cleaned they got into it right away thank you
- Jose (4/5): Dissapointed - I was disappointed after seeing the hotel through internet plus some of the services weren't working, the Wi-Fi that the hotel offers didn't work and you have to pay for it, the TV had really bad reception and only around 3 or 4 channels were available (with not so good reception), the room looked better and bigger through the photos (I guess this can be tricky), the information about the hotel said it had shuttle service but it isn't really a shuttle service when you have to pay for it right? Also, I stayed on a Friday and they had a musician playing from 7 until around 10:30 or 11:00pm, it was a bit noisy and I couldn't sleep. Anyway, my experience in this hotel wasn't good, I wouldn't use it again.
- Peter (10/5): The hotel was great. Close to downtown. - The staff and ambiance was outstanding. A great starting point for exploring the island. It had everything I needed. Shopping close by. I ate my meals there. They even did my laundry. All very attentive to my needs. Felt like family by the time I left. The owner even invited me for breakfast on the day I left.
Can't say enuf about this place. I started missing it the day I left!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful hotel - We had so much fun while staying here. The staff are super friendly and we enjoyed coming home to a place that was clean and fun. Highly recommended
- Verified traveler (6/5): Executive Suite? - Arrived Sunday afternoon. Hot! Front office door was locked. Finally found girl and was checked in. Room was hot but finally cool after having the air con on. According to the photo's on-line I expected an executive suite but without the executive flare? Anyhow, the room was okay, phone service terrible, shower very nice (water--hot/cold) and bathroom okay. Environment safe and the staff are very helpful. Easy to get around via taxi to market place and stores. I didn't think the beds were premium as stated but doable. All in all, I rate it a 5 out of 10--Average.
- Serena (6/5): Overall, a good place to stay. - Friendly helpful staff. Nice breakfast. If you don't like traffic noise, don't get a room facing the main road. Air conditioner in room 13 couldn't get the room cool enough when the sun was shining. Ok at night though. Phone system is old fashioned. No free wifi. There was noisy building work near the pool but that was just bad luck. TV has bad reception from indoor aerial only. Would stay here again but in a room further back.
- Karren Jane (6/5): - We had a comfortable stay and quite close to the center. Room was average but very comfortable bed. Tv with antenna only. Hot and cold shower. The massage service was very good as well.
- Junior & Monica (10/5): Restaurant menu love it bar facilities fantastic p - Our room/bed was very comfortable cleanliness was up to our standards we always had new towels and linens every day for the six nights we stayed there the house girls were awesome attitude hospitality was outstanding bar girls/boys were fantastic front desk crews were amazing restaurant menu was delicious can't complain overall with prices was very reasonable my husband and I will definitely stay there again and I will most definitely recommend to families and friends... most of all thank you so much Tuala and Sarona for your kindness hospitality the beautiful atmosphere that yourselves showed towards my husband and I during our stay at your beautiful hotel...until next time keep up your outstanding performances...
- julie (10/5): Great friendly hotel in Apia - Joe and his staff looked after us very well they were friendly and very helpful. The room was great and clean and comfortable and we will definitely stay there again. Highly recommend it . Julie and Tony
- Verified traveler (6/5): NICE HOTEL - Very friendly staff. Room was adequate for my needs. Walls were a bit thin though and two nights were sleepless due to noisy neighbours
- Anna Fesolai (10/5): - peaceful
- Hopestar (6/5): Good value, Great food! - An excellent choice for a modest hotel with everything you need. Would be equivalent to a motel type standard in NZ. Clean and staff are very friendly. Food was excellent and free breakfast great. Coffee was of excellent standard! Pool was a great facility. Everything you need for a holiday within a good budget! Would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Comfortable but not luxurious - Easy walk into the city. Staff weren't overly helpful with activities but were polite and friendly. Pillows were awful. The pool and bar were lovely. One of the staff gave my name to our taxi driver who then contacted me on Facebook which I found unprofessional.
