J’ai effectué ma réservation la veille et, le jour de mon arrivée pour le check-in vers 19h-20h, on m’a informée que la chambre n’était pas prête et que je devais attendre qu’elle soit nettoyée, alors que j’étais déjà presque en retard pour mon rendez-vous. Et que normalement le Check-in c’est à 16h. Après avoir attendu environ 30 minutes, je suis retournée à la réception et la chambre n’était toujours pas disponible. 😞 Ce n’est qu’après 45 minutes à 1 heure que la situation a été réglée. Cependant, la chambre qui m’a été attribuée était dans un état très inconfortable : draps humides, serviettes humides, forte odeur d’humidité. Il m’a été impossible d’y dormir. De retour d’une fête, j’ai finalement dû quitter l’établissement et libérer la chambre, l’inconfort ne me permettant pas d’y rester. La partie GH rénovée semble correcte, mais l’ancien Pullman nécessite vraiment des améliorations. Les traces d’humidité, notamment sur les murs de la douche, sont à revoir. Nous payons pour un certain niveau de confort. Merci de bien vouloir offrir aux clients la qualité de service correspondant au prix payé. À revoir, service client nul, concierges des compliments flatteurs et énervant comme s’il demandait de l’argent de manière polie, en tout cas pas professionnel.

L'offre dans les restaurants est assez diversifiée et interessantes. Le personnel est efficace en général, cependant il leur a fallu plus d'une semaine pour me fournir un duplicata de reçu pour un dîner en room service... La climatisation est toujours trop puissante quand on revient dans sa chambre le soir à moins de coller un post it sur l'interrupteur pour demander qu'on ne l'active pas! Le prix des boissons est exorbitant pour l'endroit.

- Paul (4/5): Disappointing - The hotel is secure and the rooms are clean. The general public areas are pleasant and there is a nice swimming pool. Where to start. The breakfast at 35 dollars is extremely expensive and pretty poor quality. The staff are sliw, uninterested and more often than not do not deliver a correct order. Check your bills very carefully we had 3 wrong bills and it would have cost an extra 400 euros if we had not spotted. Better to pay each bill as you go as charged to room proved inaccurate and then difficult to amend. On check out we had a 500 dollar dispute which was subsequently amended. It is a shame that staff in hotel let the facility down so much. Is it too much fir staff to smile 😃 and be polite ?

The bath leaked and after you took shower half of the room was in water... Breakfast is poor, especially those days when they served it indoors.

They are starting at you straight in the eyes, I don’t know if they are security staff or what they call in Kinshasa, ANR agents? Very unsettling. They are everywhere! Around the pool, lobby,looking at you as if they are investigating you… really I felt unsafe…

The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel does have screening security at the doors, a very good selection of cold foods for breakfast buffet, restaurants and coffee shop on site. Cost, everything is unbelievably expensive, well above regional average and above most of its European counterparts. On arrival I was told my stay had been paid for through booking.com, the following night I couldn’t access my room, reception stated I hadn’t paid my extras!!! Turns out they had only charged me the 1st night, then proceeded to try and blame me for not noticing. You’ll need a VPN, my bank app wouldn’t allow access through the hotel WIFI without it on. English isn’t widely spoken, so expect to use my translate apps for anything complex. Some staff were oddly behaved, at breakfast I asked for an omelette at the egg station, the girl started the omelette then just walked off. I went back 10 mins later to see where it was, another chef was making them for her to take to room service, mine sidelined, same for coffee.

- Marta (9/5): The best option if you want to enjoy Kinshasa - Good hotel in Gombe, near the river. The personal were friendly and answered our questions. The restaurants were amazing and the pool was fantastic! The gymn was being remodelled, so we had to exercise in a small room with poor ventilation. However, at least they gave us the option to do some exercise!

I am surprised that for such an internation hotel, very few of the staff can speak English. 2. Did not get value for money as hotel is very expensive and on top of that, I had to pay for the breakfast as it was not included in the USD 300+/night room rate. 3. Was shocked at the state and fullness of the gym - it was impossible to use! 4. Better cocktail maker/waiter is needed at the bars - most of the cocktails were just not good!

Breakfast at 35 dollars even if you only take a coffee and croissant is not value for money. If you only like a light breakfast order in the bar inside downstairs. 2 coffees and 4 croissants under 10 dollar. Much better.

- Carol (7/5): Great location with multiple restaurants to choose from. Comfortable rooms. - Breakfast was OK. The main dining room is extremely busy in the morning and many of the buffet items (there was quite a wide variety) were finished and not being replaced. I found the tables and floor quite dirty which ruined my appetite. As we were departing the hotel at 5 am in the morning, the hotel prepared a boxed breakfast for us which was very nicely packaged with coffee, yoghurt, fruit and pastries. Unfortunately there were no spoons, forks or napkins included! The front office desk had very friendly and bi-lingual staff who were always ready to help. I did get irritated that my key card for my room had to be activated daily. And this was despite the fact that it was nowhere near my mobile phone which does affect its efficacy. The rooms are well appointed and spacious and the showers have excellent pressure. Housekeeping: Towels would be replaced on some days and others they wouldn't so that inconsistency was confusing. The shower mixers in the bathroom wouldn't regulate well so it would either be too hot or too cold. I needed to send something into the laundry and the laundry bag and form were missing from the closet. Eventually someone brought the bag. It would also be useful to have at least one multi-lingual staff member at all the restaurants.

A few logistical issues that need more staff support. - Despite a confirmed booking and double checking with the hotel, arrived and was advised the hotel was fully booked for our first night and we were moved to a sister hotel and back the next morning. Not convenient at all.
