- Jinessa (10/5): Amazing hotel - Absolutely beautiful hotel to stay in, and it's located on a beautiful street as well! The breakfast is a bit lacking but since it was kind of a mix between a hostel and a hotel and the price was amazing for the location, I was happy to have it. The staff also helped out with an airport transportation issue since I don't speak Spanish.

- silvia (2/5): is not like we saw by internet - El hotel no se parece mucho a lo q muestran en internet, es muy viejo, antiguo o como se diga, pero mal cuidado, los muebles raspados, viejos, los baños no funcionaban, muy poca luz,la ubicación muy buena, porq nos interesaba cerca del centro, pero la aparencia realmente desagradable, de baja calidad....al ver esto, decidimos irnos a otro lugar y no nos devolvieron nada, eso q no estuvimos ni una hora dentro, resumiendo, no nos gustó nada de nada y no lo recomendamos a nadie y perdimos el dinero

- Chris (6/5): Beau potentiel mais éviter les chambres standard - Hôtel qui vaut surtout pour son emplacement, au coeur d'un quartier très agréable, central mais résidentiel. Beau bâtiment ancien avec de magnifiques volumes, des moulures et des lambris, et une terrasse très agréable et bien aménagée (fauteuils, tables, parasols). Il faut cependant savoir que les chambres dites standard ne sont pas confortables : petites, chichement meublées et sombres. La 18 a pour seul mérite d'être au rez-de-chaussée (pas de valises à traîner dans les étages !) et sur cour, donc relativement calme, calme pollué cependant par des bruits constants de tuyauteries et canalisations... Belle salle à manger et petit déjeuner très correct, présenté sous forme de buffet..

- Igor T (2/5): Diferente do Anunciado - Prédio antigo, tem wi-fi que não funciona, não tem elevador, os atendentes são muito pouco simpáticos, o quarto anunciado é diferente da foto. Me colocaram em um quarto que tem a janela no passeio da rua (muito barulho). O quarto um cheiro de cera muito forte. Não recomendo.
- vanderlei (4/5): Uma aventura decepcionante - O hotel realiza uma pequena fraude! Quando reservei estava escrito que pagaria 40 dólares por um quarto! Para mim estava implícito que haveria um banheiro. Se eu quisesse um quarto com banheiro necessitaria desembolsar 60 dólares, e não os 40 que havia combinado. Deficiente visual, acompanhado de minha esposa, numa cidade que mal conheço não tive outro remédio se não aceitar. Ao entrar no quarto novas questões: fazer o aquecedor funcionar custou quase um triunfo, e os chuveiros era daqueles de mão que você vai banhando seu corpo, nada prático. As toalhas do quarto eram grises, ou seja cinza, não que isso fosse ao natural. A limpeza acontecia eventualmente. E foi necessário explicar a funcionária que a água era um bem precioso no planeta para se consertar um vazamento. O café da manhã era pobre, e minha companheira encontrou uma etiqueta colada num kiwi cortado, talvez seja uma propaganda nacional. Na véspera de nossa partida fomos negociar com a gerente acerca dos 60 dólares de diária. Ela nos explicou que estavamos num estandard 'superior' já que estávamos no segundo piso. Depois de muita negociação, conseguimos pagar 50 dólares por dia. Para terminarmos, no dia da partida a gerente "esqueceu" de combinar o nosso taxi. E passamos uma meia hora esperando a chegada de um temprano taxi santiaguino. O hotel da avenida londres nº 54 não deve ser procurado, a menos que você goste muito de aventuras!

- Harry (2/5): Nice location, bad service and not secure - Room was with a shared bathroom and was inexpensive but not acceptable compared to any room I have rented in any country in the past. Room door did not lock. No safe available for valuables. Spotty front desk coverage and we were charged twice for the room (once by Hotels.com in advance and once when we checked out put directly on my credit card). We were requested to send a copy of a bill showing duplicate charges to the hotel in Santiago to get charge reversed, we did and still no credit for duplicate charge.

- Andrew (4/5): More like a budget hostel masquerading as a hotel. - I will say it is in a great spot. But that is all that is good about it. Place is cheap. I suppose it has that going for it. Everything is bare bones and worn from top to bottom. The rooms are loud! Breakfast is standard for the country and edible. Our beds were of questionable comfort. In all, unless you have no money, go elsewhere.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Pleasant staff makes up for shortcomings - This is a hostel, not a hotel. There is no elevator and your room could be on the 3rd floor. That was the 1st shocking impression/reality but the place grows on you... the place is a grand old house in a very quaint part of town with cobblestone roads, very accessible to most places to visit; and the staff (specially Vania!) were all very pleasant, professional and willing to help. They are the ones that make the difference in this place. Other things to keep in mind... no central electric heating or AC; they have gas units; and their breakfast is VERY basic... all in accordance with being a hostel.
- francisco (2/5): Need to love cat hair all over you. - This hotel lists itself as a boutique hotel which it is not. It is full of cats and cat hair. Everyone in our group got allergies from all he hair. The building is beautiful but very dirty. Our bathroom had a bathtub with no shower curtain and the water went everywhere. Our suitcase was stolen from our room and no one could explain why, maybe thru the window????? Breakfast was poor.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice on the outside - This is a budget hotel but more like a hostel. It was the cheapest option for a single room with shared bathroom. I got room 42 and it felt like a cubbyhole. The fan didn't work so well so I had to sleep with windows open each night. As the door has a glass panel with only a net curtain the light from the hallway ( kept on all night) shines through. Worst sleep I've had in all my travels. In addition to that there was a creepy guy in my landing who kept coming out of his room when he heard me coming. Not sure if he's a long term resident but as a single female, he made me feel really uneasy.

- Alyssa (10/5): Simple and welcoming - I really enjoyed my stay here. This hotel has the feel of a hostel, but with very quiet and clean private rooms. The shared bathroom was very clean. Staff extremely friendly and the free breakfast was quite good. I would definitely stay here again the next time I am in Santiago!
- Marcos (6/5): Decent place for sleeping only. - The place could use more touch ups. Old building with outdated (badly worn out and soiled furniture in reception common area. The stuff used for cleaning wood floors smells incredibly toxic. It probably helps to keep bugs away. Didn't see a single bug even when windows have no screens. Staff is generally nice. Got a a set of towels plus soap and conditioner at check-in and that was it. The location is good, although there is nothing nearby worth exploring past 9 pm. Close to metro stop, which makes it easy to move about.
- narelle (10/5): Perfect position - Great position. Bus from airport to end station and walked 15 min. Hop on hop off bus route near by. Beautiful old cobble stone road to hotel off main road. Amazing breakfast and very friendly English speaking staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A great budget option in downtown Santiago - The hotel is located right next to downtown Santiago in a quiet neighborhood. It is a nice building, with wooden floors, large sit in area, comfortable rooms and nice old world atmosphere. The room in which I stayed had two comfortable twin beds. If it is ok with you to have the bathroom and shower (great hot water supply) outside, and no elevator, it is a great option for staying on a budget in downtown Santiago.

- KJ (8/5): Cozy Hostel in Downtown Santiago, Chile - This was the cheapest room I could find in all of Santiago online. I received a room that was 6.25 ft x 9 ft. It had a twin bed, armoire, and a 13" tv on the wall. The bed is six feet long and I am exactly six feet tall. So sleep was slightly uncortfortable as I had to bend my knees to avoid the footboard. If your much taller than six feet, this is going to be a big issue. The rooom is small but cheap and I rather spend my money on things other than my hotel room since I will not be in their much. I had to share my bathroom to get my rate. This worked out OK for me as no was ever in there when I needed to use it. The bathroom was outside my room in the hallway to be shared and not in between two rooms as I had imagined. This is a little bit of an issue because there are no closed windows in the hotel hallways. The hallways are the same temperature as if you were outside. I visited during their winter and it was cold when I would wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. Yet, if this is the cheapest hotel I can find if I were to return to Santiago, I would stay there as the staff was helpful whenever I needed a taxi, towels, or whatever.
