• Daniel (1/5): Dirty, smelly, and not worth it, even at a low price. - It was the cheapest available at the time but after seeing the low quality I would gladly pay a little more to get something decent. It was listed as 2 miles from the airport but turned out to be closer to 9 miles. The floor was sticky and the bed sheets damp. There was a strong smell of mold/cigarettes. There were holes in the bathroom door.

• Bryan (8/5): The Testimonial: Hotel or Apartment Complex? - Overall, it was a good stay. Visitors should temper their expectations of what kind of place this is. Treat it as an Air BnB instead of a traditional hotel. The rooms are small studio apartments. They have a stove, a kitchen sink, a full size fridge with a freezer. If you need cookware, you can purchase a full set that is yours to keep. A little weird, but I can see where they were trying to go with it. The beds were soft. The sheets look like they wouldn't keep a guest warm, but surprisingly, not the case here. The experience reminded me of the mini cabins/lodges in the Poconos or another winter resort...but geared for an urban setting. The one star deduction might have nore to do with Hotels.com and similar sites compared to Extended Stay. The prices you see do not take into account a $100 deposit(security deposit, basically). If the visitors keep the room spotless, then they receive the deposit back in roughly a week. A pain, and I can see this causing Extended Stay to lose business for such an amount compared to a typical $30 deposit. Another observation was the staff was seemingly overworked. This location was converted from a different type of facility and some of the "cracks" show. Their front desk is the size of a closet...giving the impression of a leasing office for...apartments. I can go back as the prices were very reasonable.

• Xavion (5/5): It wasn’t worth a dollar - Nothing Property had a weird smell, as well as telling me I can check in anytime because I was arriving late at night they didn’t let me check in till next day at 3 and still charged me 109 dollar fee that I’m waiting on refund for still on top of the 100 I paid. Very old and people wouldn’t leave you alone when you just wanted to go to room or leave.

Hallway had a musty smell. The women in the group felt unsafe outside of the building at night. Overall would definitely not stay again

• Deborah (1/5): Awful! The worst experience! - It was awful! It was like a place that people go after they get out of jail. We heard gunshots! It smelled bad! The bathroom door looked like an animal had been left in there and it tried to chew its way out! As soon as we stepped inside the elevator it smelled like marijuana! I don’t recommend this place at all!!

Dust along bed head on floor and in corners. The staff smell like they don’t brush their teeth or wash. Trash all around the property and hallways are a mess. Trash in front of each door. Rooms aren’t cleaned correctly. They spray mist and keep it moving. My tissue that was on the roll was half gone and had poop on it. Just not the lace for a vacation or a night rest. Find somewhere. The only thing that wasn’t present was bed bugs I’m surprised

• Julie (2/5): - The yelling and screaming from an obviously intoxicated and angry woman on the 2nd floor and then for an hour in the parking lot was too much. There was no employee in the building at 11 pm- 9:30 am which is completely unacceptable and dangerous. Had to call to get assistance into our room because the door wouldn’t open because it “stuck” and no one showed up. Thankfully after many attempts, we were able to get in our room. Also the $109 deposit to assure no smoking in the room was a bit much considering the entire 3rd floor reales of marijuana when we got off the elevator. And to be in a handicap room when clearly you couldn’t access the door. Upon checkin, I had to call for an employee to come to the front desk. Then the room wasn’t ready ( at 5pm). The only positive thing was the room Was clean and the bed was comfortable.

• Marcela (2/5): - To start, they charged us with a deposit fee of $109 that we were unaware of. They said it would take 3-5 business days to credit our account as long as there was no damage to the property or smoking in the room. They didn’t bother asking what form of payment we wanted to use and just charged the card used to hold the room. They ran two different transactions for the deposit and the hotel room. The bar in the tub was broken so we took pictures and showed the person at the front desk. Second, the area is very unsafe and smelled like weed down the hallways and at check in. Third, we tried to check out and there was none at the front desk way past their hours of operation. We tried contacting the number and had no luck. The hotel room was somewhat clean until we found fingernails on one of the nightstands. We will never stay there again.

• Kevin (2/5): Gross room and gun shots - Showed up too room. Used condoms on the floor. Room was dirty and disgusting. Empty beer bottles and cans all over the place. Smelled like weed too. It was late and we lost our room at another hotel. So i got this room for a week. Gunshots and very rough place too stay. Checked out on sunday. Called hotels.com to cancel the rest of the nights. The hotel said that we didn't check out. The hotel told hotels. com that we were still on the room on monday. We worked all day on monday. Called hotels.com 4 times. The hotel said the would refund 2 nights. I said no. Hotels.com didnt nothing to get my refund because i didnt spend the extra money for insurance. Amother thing is the tried changing me an extra $150 for damage for the room. If no damage they would give it back. I didnt pay it. They gave me the room. Dishes pots and pans will cost you an extra $50 too. Dont go out at night. Very dangerous area.

• 576MattP (4/5): Not a Good Experience - I regretted making the reservation as soon as I pulled into the parking lot. There were people hanging around outside and they eyed me as I walked in. The hotel reeked of cigarette smoke, despite the signage. Some of the clientele made me wonder if this was a hotel used to temporarily house local homeless people / families. The number of seasonal or temporary laborers were staying there during my visit explains the unnecessary and rude slamming of doors in the early morning hours as they left for work. The bathroom sink had no stopper and the diverter that controls shower vs bath was welded in the "up" position. My TV never worked properly and my room was not cleaned during my entire 5 night stay. I would have checked out after the first night but due to some huge religious convention / revival that weekend there were no affordable rooms to be had in North Charleston or Mt Pleasant. Front desk staff were relatively civil, but hardly made me feel welcome.

• Charity (2/5): Beware of this hotel! - We were kicked out of the property because they "smelled smoke coming out of our room." We don't even smoke. When we wouldn't leave without the remaining portion of our money back, they called the cops.

We had to go and find another place to stay for the night around 10:00 pm! But they did have Dirty sheets, looked like they had bedbugs because of all of the nasty spots on the linen and sheets, roachs with babies, you could only get in and out at just the front door with all of your bags. And I want all of my money back because this place was just horrible. And HORRIBLE IS AN UNDERSTATEMENTS!!!! I didn’t like anything about this property. I am telling you that it was HORRIBLE what more would you want for me to tell you about it?

• Nathan (5/5): Water pressure and floors were not up to par - Staff was good, location was good, the floors were absolutely DISGUSTING. I truly believe they were not cleaned in my room in a year or more, they were that gross. I never complain, but it was bad. I used my first set of towels to try and clean them a little myself before I unpacked... and the water pressure in the shower was pretty bad as well, almost like a gravity fed shower, and it took 10 mins or more to warm up, but other than that, it was a decent stay there.

• Jenn (4/5): - Full disclosure: I didnt use kitchen features because I had planned to stay just long enough to get 8 hrs sleep and a shower as that was all I needed, but knew I would need one for a month stay soon so I was seeing if this would be ok for my future stay. Nice that it has a full size fridge/freezer and a cook top and I didnt see any bugs throughout my stay. That was not enough for me to ignore the rest unfortunately and I had a really low bar knowing I was renting cheap. Worlds tiniest microwave and all appliances looked dingy. Small pile of trash where I guess someone swept but left the pile. Nasty walls with everything from kids drawings to caulk from filling giant holes to the worst -footprints by bed on the walls. I can only imagine ...adult acrobatics. Bathroom surfaces were mystery filled with crusty feeling towels and trash in trash cans from previous visitor. I used a towel to step on out of the shower and when I picked it up it was black showing how dirty the floor was. In general, hotel had the musty smell that says water sitting somewhere and someone smoking cigarettes in the hall (im a smoker too but I dont want to breathe in strong stale ashtray smell every time I walk in to the hall. And lastly trying to sleep while wondering who was going to murder who as a man&woman yelled & slammed & doors as they were in a nonstop heated argument bc "give me back my phone. Dont take my Sh*&. And my favorite stop choking me with no interference from staff/cops...
• Jennifer (2/5): - We checked in at 10:46 because we were too tired to continue driving. We felt like we inconvenienced the front office person. We got to our room exhausted and an hour after realized the toilet didn’t work and we had no towels to shower with.
• Aliyah (2/5): - It’s off Ashley phosphate so of course that’s the ratchet but we had women black women at that streaming and hollering it was giving drugs, which made me feel unsafe. Then my very last night there they were making so much noise in the hallway, but I think someone was moving. They even bumped my door a few times very hard. I guess you get what you pay for when you come here.
