• john (4/5): - This property was listed as a "three star" property. No way. The room was mostly clean but in poor condition. Public areas and elevator were dirty. Someone spilled what appeared to be juice throughout the entry way, main hallway and near the elevator... the spill was there for hours and even when some of it was mopped, cleaning the mess was incomplete. Room had broken blinds and cabinets. TV needed to be reset to operate. No coffee maker in room.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel on Extended Stay on Caviler I encountered several issues that I believe warrant your immediate attention. 1. Staff Conduct: Upon my arrival, I observed hotel staff congregated outside, engaging in loud conversations with guests. Regrettably, their language was inappropriate and unprofessional, which was concerning and disappointing. 2. Facility Cleanliness: The condition of the hotel was subpar. The elevator was dirty, and the small kitchenette area showed signs of neglect. These conditions were not in line with the standards I expected for the price I paid. 3. Reservation Confusion: I mistakenly reserved a room at your location, believing I had booked at the Extended Stay near the airport. This confusion led to an inconvenience, as I had intended to stay closer to my travel destination. Given these issues, I kindly request a partial refund or a discount on my stay. I believe this would be a fair resolution considering the circumstances. Please confirm receipt of this letter and inform me of the steps you will take to address these concerns. I look forward to your prompt response.

And said if the key didn’t work maintenance wouldn’t be in til Monday and basically I would be locked out til Monday is the way I took it.

Looked like blood stains or something in them. The sink stopped up the whole week every time I brush my teeth. The shower water did not get to hot. The toilet got clogged and they couldn’t find the plunger.

• Christy (2/5): NITEMARE - I came in from work an I smelled a very strong horrible smell it literally busted my head an I got so sick to my stomach. It was so strong as I was walking to my room it got stronger then after I walked in my room I opened the window I looked around didn't see anything so I called the front desk an asked her to walk upstairs to check then she said omg yes it's very strong she figured out the smell was where they worked on a bathtub a couple doors down just about a hr before I got in . I asked can I please move rooms she said she absolutely couldn't that she didn't have the authority a would get in trouble. I was very upset Especially since I've stayed here for a month an pd daily everyday then I explained I cant handle that smell she said sorry I would if I could. I hs stopped an gotten. Pizza that costed 21$ couldn't even eat it I was afraid that whatever chemicals that they used to fix the tub in the other room it got into the pizza so not only was it literally the worst stay ever also it was money wasted on. Pizza. I will be checking out an going to a new hotel in the morning. VERY VERY upset

I don't know exactly what it was but we got to our room and I opened the door. And oh my gosh, the smell of bug bed bug spray. It was so strong that I couldn't breathe. Almost had an asthma attack so I closed up the door and we left and went back to the clerk at the office and told her that I have asthma. I can't stand this room. It's filled with bed bugs spraying. She said yes that it had been sprayed that day and I asked for another room and there was none available. So I said I can't stay here. Can I get a refund and she said it would have to be done through booking.com which I've tried to get a hold of you to tell you that I did not stay so I would like a refund of my stay. There's no way I could stay plus they had no rooms available. That was a big chunk of money just to walk into one room and then walk right back out. The smell was overpowering. I have never ever been in a situation like this so I had to leave but I would like somebody to contact me about a refund. I did email the customer service department that you have but I haven't heard anything back. But no, I'm not satisfied with this hotel at all. Thank you The hotel smelled like bed bug spray and I asked the lady and she said it was sprayed that day but I could not stay in the room because I have asthma and it was so overpowering that just the smell was it was terrible. I have never ever been in a situation like this so I'm asking for a refund back on my stay

Reservations were made for standard room with double beds in a non smoking room. The hotel had be down for one bed on a non smoking room. All they offered was a room with double beds on the smoking room floor. I can’t be around smoke that why I made reservations for non smoking room. After, I asked to speak to the manager. The hotel in their own words stated this is not their problem and this is a third party problem since I booked through booking.com and you guys made the mistake not them and you will receive my refund on 3 to 5 business days

• Greg (2/5): Could Not Check In!!! - So my flight was delayed and I didn't get to hotel until almost 1am on the night I was checking in. When I walked in the Front Desk area is all locked up and there is no one there. It is a tiny little lobby area where yiu check in and then there's another door which leads to elevator and hotel rooms. So there's a corded phone in tnis tiny lobby, area that says dial 0 to get an operator if noone's at tbe front desk. So I dial and it takes me through a few prompts where I press 1 for people trying to Check in. It rang forever and then someone finally picked up. Some customer service desk that sounded like they were in another country. He tried calling the night attendant who is suppose to be on dutyand they did not pick up. Then he called general manager and he didn't pick up. Then he called the district manager and he did not answer. All the time he's puttimg me on hold when he's tryingbto reach these other staff members. So I gave up and went next door to a Qualty Inn & got a room there where there is somebody working the front desk 24 hours a day which all major hotels should have. I'm most certainly going to get a refund for the hotel room at Extended Stay America where I NEVER got to check in. I would NEVER RECOMMEND anyone ever stay at that hotel. What an AWFUL situation it is if you have to check in after 10pm!!!

Pet hair and dirt and the vent in the bathroom was covered with dust and who knows what. I got charged $300 dollars for my pets. When I left I made sure my pets did not leave a mess.

• Stacey (6/5): Pleasant - The lady at the front on Saturday afternoon was very helpful. When I called this ESA location from another one nearby, she provided directions. She also helped me with the locations of a gas station and QSR. The non-smoking room I was given was clean. The sheet had one easily noticeable hole in it presumably from a cigarette. If ESA won't completely ban smoking in the rooms, I would suggest keeping the linens from smoking and non-smoking rooms separate. - With room door and windows closed, somehow the smell of cigarette smoke got into my room at certain times. Also at times there was the smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway, which had to be walked through on the way to the lobby/main door exit to the parking lot. - It would have been nice to have had a lower nightly rate, especially with the high tax.
• Alexandra (10/5): - While I was looking for a place to allow for pets, I was more than a little surprised at how well the building and rooms were kept. In addition, I never heard anyone’s pets unless they were outside and I was outside too. The staff was. Very courteous and Friendly. In all, my only complaint was the lack of vegan selections in the vending machines. Otherwise, I was extremely impressed.
