The room they tried to give us didn't have TV. THEN THEY UPCHARGED US FOR ANOTHER ROOM. THEN OUR KEY DIDN'T WORK SO WE HAD TO CALL TO GET SOMEONE TO LET US IN OUR ROOM. IT TOOK THEM A WHILE TO COME. SO OUT STAY WASN'T GREATAT ALL. WE SHOULD BE COMPENSATED FOR ALL THAT WE EXPERIENCED JUST FOR THAT ROOM. A FREE NIGHT OR SOMETHING I didn't like the front desk worker was rude especially about the room that they had me booked for to tell me that a room with no TV.

The walls had stuff on them that looked like blood and someone even drew a smiley face on the elevator wall. There was no breakfast and it is not even located near anything that was mentioned on the website. I needed towels and could not even find anyone at the front desk to speak to because it was closed. the bathroom was dirty and had no water pressure.

I called to let the staff know we would be checking in after midnight and was told "it will be fine". However, when I finally arrived (after driving 12 hours with children and pets in my car), I was told they "weren't taking anymore reservations" for a room I ALREADY PAID FOR. My family and pets ended up sleeping at a truck stop.

• Amy and Justin (4/5): Not a good experience - The room was not clean and the walls and nightstand drawer were downright filthy. There were bugs, dead and alive, and the bathroom door didn't have a handle, just a hole where one should be. We were supposed to stay for 5 nights. We ended up staying about 10 minutes before deciding the state of the room was too bad. It's been almost a month and they have not given us a refund. Hotels.com told me they pursued one on our behalf multiple times, but that Extended Stay appeared to be unwilling. We are not talking a refund of just 1 night, but of 5 nights, so it is a significant chunk of money. It's very unfair that they're holding onto it when we didnt even stay due to unsatisfactory conditions. I waited this long to write a review because I had no desire to hurt their business if they made things right and I wanted to give them a chance to do so. But they have not.

They also have a locked door so you can’t get into the lobby and it has a grossly sticky phone and the doorway area smells.

• Jimmy (1/5): Bad hotel - Nothing I have a lot first the whole hotel smell really bad smell like pee everywhere and then second the room was not that clean and we saw a lot a roaches in the room. I think I killed about three or four of them and then we wanted to leave the same day because it was just bad but when I went to the front desk, nobody was there. They were already gone for the day so we couldn’t leave and they had a sign that said they are not there from 10 at night to 10 in the morning but it was like 930 at night when we were trying to tell the front desk about how bad the rooms were I was trying to see if I could’ve got a refund because it was so bad. I would never tell somebody to stay there cause they don’t take care of that hotel.

Y después al entrar al elevador empieza la pesadilla con un olor insoportable a patas a cigarro y a cucarachas muertas los pasillos del segundo piso dios mío tienen olor a que la gente orina afuera de los cuartos!! Entras a tu habitación y desde que abres la puerta miras las cucarachas caminando por todos lados en el piso en las paredes y en los techos! Los baños están sucios quemados las paredes parece que nunca las limpian! NO PUEDES DORMIR PORQUE LAS CUCARACHAS ESTÁN POR TODOS LADOS Y SABES QUE ESOS BICHOS SE IRÁN ENTRE TUS COSAS A TU CASA Y VAS A TENER EN POCOS DÍAS LLENA TU CASA DE ESOS ANIMALES!!! Es algo totalmente asqueroso!!! Las personas entran y salen toda la noche personas extrañas en el parking del hotel no sientes confianza de este lugar no puedes dormir pensando en el olor de las camas y las cucarachas por todos lados!! The front desk person was nice but closed up after we left. I regret not reading the reviews but there is an Extended Stay in my mom’s town and it is super nice so I thought this would be the same. DO NOT STAY HERE!
• William (2/5): - The elevator was broken, cockroaches all over the room took video of this room. It would not pass any kind of city inspection. I called orbits they literally kept me on the phone for an hour and a half trying to cancel then find me another room. Every time the orbits guy said he was looking he would put me on hold for 20 minutes. The second time he did he picked up I asked him not to leave me on hold that long. It was now 12:30am and he put me on hold again to find a room 25 minutes went by. Then he picked up. I could hear him then he hung up. We ended up sleeping in our car in the parking lot. The guy from orbits said he was going to give me a 125 credit. But that did not happen either. I sent in pictures and video of this room and you guys called and verified their elevator was broken and the room they gave us was on the fourth floor. I underwent heart surgery so walking up 4 flights of stairs was hard when I saw the room I came down to complain they didn’t care. And apparently neither did your Orbitz folks.

• dennisr284 (2/5): Extended Stay Away - We stayed at the Extended Stay America off I-49 South in Kansas City. I have been traveling over 55 years and I have finally found the most disgusting hotel ever. The garbage can at the front door was overflowing. There were people outside drinking from bottles in paper bags. When we reached our room, we were greeted by cockroaches in the bathroom. We registered a complaint and received a call from their corporate office that they would be refunding our money at the end of May. We followed up and we still have not received payment. We then received an email from booking.com that we had to call a number in Europe to discuss the refund. The number they gave us did not work. We again wrote to Extended Stay America and booking,com and have yet to receive a reply. I strongly advise that you do not stay at this location as it is more of a rundown welfare motel more than it is an accommodation from travelers. Their service at corporate reflects the totality of how poor this whole chain is! Please take my advice and make your reservations at the other hotels within a short distance of Extended Stay!
• Heather (2/5): Don’t stay here - The front desk smelled like pot. The elevator was broken, and there was a sign on it that said “elevator do not work”. That was the first red flag. The stairwell smelled like dogshit. When we got to the 3rd floor where our room was, many of the rooms had trash bags in front of the doors. When we got to our room there was a trash bag in front of it and inside were bunch of bug traps with dead bugs in them. Our room was apparently been used as storage for cleaning equipment and supplies, and that was the last straw. We turned around and left.
• Isabel M (2/5): - Terrible experience from the start. Rude front desk woman that didn’t want to be there. Elevator was not working, no electricity in room, obviously no TV, no bath towels but lots of roaches in bathroom! Don’t ask or complain attitude from front desk clerk. Gave me super old worn out towels and would offer another room or be apologetic. Will not be going there ever and do not recommend at all. Actually will be calling corporate office for formal complaint.
• Paula (2/5): Horrific - will never stay again - The first room, #226, had an air conditioner that had been vandalized and didn't work. The second room, #232, had a TV that didn't work, roaches, and we couldn't leave the room because they couldn't get a key to open the door. Only the management all-access key would open the door. So once we were let in, we were stuck for the night. Our only other option was a room on the 4th floor, but with no working elevator, that was too much for us to deal with when we were exhausted from a long day of travel. Thank you, Paula Laridon

• manevah2025 (2/5): Room has many roaches. (YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED) - I Will never return. The rooms are completely bare, not even an ice bucket or a plastic cup. The front desk clerk referred me to dollar store for my utensils. My room had no bedside lamps, so I would go to the switch by the front door, switch the light off, walk across the dark room to my bed, then to get light if I need I have to get out of bed, walk across the dark room to switch the light on. Filament on the oven dont work, the repair personnel said he cannot fix it as the whole unit has to be replaced. The diverter valve in the shower fell of so no water coming from the shower, water shooting straight out horizontally in the tub, I could not get a shower for five days I had to clean the dirty tub and take a bath in it. Then there are the ROACHES: Many roaches in my room, I reported this to front desk twice; first day a promise to spray was made but not kept. Second day I was told by the front desk lady "Sorry for the roaches, we are doing our best, but I am sure there are other hotels in the city, you are more than welcome to check out and go somewhere else." She did spray the sides of the refrigerator which had no effect. When I checked out and went to another hotel there were of course roaches in my luggage. I washed everything, sprayed my bags and has not seen any roaches in my new hotel room in three days.
• Briana (1/5): The worst ESA in america! - The location The staff. The cleanliness, the rodents, the bad smells, the whole establishment is just ghetto. The bed was hard, felt like cardboard.

The staff is unprofessional and rude.They discuss the guests' personal life situations right in front of other guests. The place has roaches. The 4th floor recks of urine. All the manager will say is " Oh it stinks up here" The housekeeping staff refuses to clean properly. Only the first floor is somewhat clean, every other floor is disgusting. "Keisha", the manager which is obviously the reason this place is in such horrible condition. This girl will cancel your reservations without a reasonable change. She also will not communicate the change at all until your at the front desk wondering " What happened to my reservation "? No one wears uniform expect the bald guy, so you never really knows who works there or not. I went to extend my stay for the room that I was currently in, just to be told that my reservation was cancel because it was for a queen bed room and I was in a room with a full bed. I couldn't wrap my head around why I couldn't just extend my stay for the room that I was currently in. When initially I booked a double bed room and was told that the person currently in there was extending. Okay so why couldn't I have done the same thing if I made a reservation for a room with a bigger bed? This place is in desperate need of new management. I will be reaching out to corporate regarding this establishment. All in all not the place for a short term stay. Visit a Extended Stay that requires a deposit, you'll get treated better.

We the waited outside trying to book another room 45 minutes away & having to pay another uber. While waiting we witnessed customers screaming at each other throwing articles of clothing. The area did not seem safe. I was also charged for staying, when we were told no room was available. This messup cost me double the uber fees, plus being charged for a room we never used.

• Kierra (1/5): Get what you pay for... 🪳 - Cheap prices I guess The multiple roaches in the room and had to call front desk since no one was at check in location wasn't able to check out after roaches were found called in the morning said they would cancel/refund but then booking states they never got a response to cancelled stay due to roaches :(
• Teddy (2/5): - Noticed that the sink was leaking ,toilet also. Shower rod was broken and fell down several times. You could tell the room wasn't properly cleaned. Roach infested, dirty floors. Went to the front desk, told the manager. I left for the day ,came back thinking the room would be cleaned, no!!! They only clean the rooms after you've stayed there for two weeks. Just very nasty, poor customer service. Ill never stay at another Extended Stay again.

Returned to front desk, canceled the room and they apologized and said they refunded my money. They never did so I had to dispute this with my credit card company.
• daisy (2/5): - Horrible never stayed in a hotel like this there is roaches no towels you have to pay for them 1.65 per towel no paper towel and when I went to the office they said what did I expect for a cheap hotel I paid 108. For each room will never stay again in this hotel
• Briana (5/5): The Worst ESA - The location of the hotel. Lots of food and other shopping options near by. The bathroom tub was functional. Hot water was nice and hot at all times. The staff is very suspect. There wasn't a housekeeper around for nearly a week. Despite leaving linen outside of door for housekeeping to pick up, no one ever told me that I'd have to bring my linen and towels down to the front desk to exchange for clean towels and linen and if any of it is stained slightly, youll have to wash it on your own. No cable or satelliteTV to watch. Just a YouTube app on tv. My room was dirty upon entry on the first day. Floors were dirty, bathroom dirty and no tissue. The floors were super slippery as if someone had just recently sprayed something down so when i went to wipe it up a bit, up came dirt. The floor appeared to have been clean but obviously wasn't. The stove top doesn't get very hot to cook. The hallway smelled of urine everyday. No seating area to smoke.

• Melissa (2/5): - Disgusting hotel. Smelled bad. Cockroaches. No pillows. No toilet paper. Hard to reach anyone for help. Scary people in parking lot. I would highly recommend that no one ever stay here. It should be torn down.

• Rachelle (2/5): - Horrible! Do NOT book here. There was no employee working at 11:40pm so we could not check in. There was a phone for “after hours” check in, but no answer. Tried calling customer service, but they couldn’t help either. After 45 min of trying to reach someone at the hotel, we left and had to find alternative hotel late at night, which was not easy.
• Jacqueline (1/5): Bad - I didn't like anything because my reservation got cancelled 2 days in a tol by the the hotel I was told that all rooms was booked and I didn't get notified until 3:30 pm the second day the time I was suppose to check in very up set The fact that I was notified the my reservation was cancelled by hotel at last minute on the the second day 3:30 pm this is so unprofessional and I love booking through your hotel
• Jacqueline (1/5): Bad - Nothing because my reservation got cancelled once again because your rooms was booked and I was told that people extended there stay VERY UPSET Because this is one of my favorite hotels to book I was notified at the the VERY VERY LAST MINUTE that my reservation was cancelled by the hotel at 3:30pm checking is at 3:00pm

• Robin (2/5): Horrible place - Worse experience of staying in any hotel I've ever been threw booked a room and waited 2 hours and front desk never showed up.Blind guy couldn't even get his key remade and could not get in his room I believe security just left because he had no idea what was going on craziest hotel experience I've ever dealt with would not recommend to my enemies
