Guest Reviews
- Vanessa (1/5): Good price if you can sleep over the deafening sound of the highway and dogs barking constantly. - The room was set up nicely and it was sort of clean. Sheets and walls were dirty and it smelled weird Dirty sheets and walls. I had been in the car traveling and needed to use the restroom. The worker didn't come to the desk for 15 minutes the when I asked if they had a restroom the worker said no public restrooms. I had to wait another 10 minutes for him to swipe my key card and program it. While waiting to use the restroom the whole time. They never kept the front entrance doors locked and uou could come and go as you pleased, meaning anyone could walk in and out. The noise from the highway was deafening and I couldn't sleep as well as dogs constantly barking. It was awful.

- Melinda (4/5): I would not stay there again . - Location was good. The bed was comfortable. Very dirty toilet . The room smelled . Very loud heard people all night long talking walking around . Televisions. We left around 4:30 am and there were people standing out the doors we left around. Smoking kissing hanging all over one another.
- Robert (8/5): - Good value for money; safe, fairly quiet (some low freeway noise), spacious with kitchen. Could use some flatware and utensils, so we left some.
- Bruce (8/5): The Usual Extended Stay experience - Room was OK, had the necessities, but there were a few roaches to ruin the overall clean feel of the place.
- Kim (8/5): - Location Staff
- Verified traveler (4/5): Meh, Would work in a pinch! - Booked for one night during travel, waited around 15 minutes to check-in as the front desk was completely empty and had to call the after hours line for assistance. Upon getting into the room the floors were very sticky / dirty. Hot water for a shower lasted a couple of minutes before turning just warm, tub didn’t drain as it was full of hair, somebody kept setting off the buildings fire alarm between 10-11 pm lots of shouting in the hallway while this was happening. Not an ideal place to relax/ recharge.. not the worst stay ever but I’d say cleanliness could definitely be addressed here.
- Brian (2/5): - Total nightmare. Ran out screaming. Roaches crawling in cabinets. Manager had to break into room, was locked from the inside. Molding coming off walls in spots.
- JaDawn (9/5): - Chris the staff member was excellent
- Diego (2/5): - Did not get the room, service is the worst
- Latrina (7/5): -
- Boyd (10/5): Great place to stay for those coming or going. - Christian and his staff do a great job! Appreciate them, location is great, staff friendly, always willing to help as best as they can. Other occupants (nothing to do with the property or management).
- lakeyshia (10/5): -
- Brian (1/5): Worst stay ever - Had hot water Had to call the person to check us in ,u have to take your towels to the front desk to get new ones and they don't have any clean ones no cleaning person ,walls in room was dirty , this place is like a glorified apartment building all the trash cans are full and overflowing, lobby and hallways have dog food and stains all over the floors, and the topper is there are vehicles in the parking lot with flat tires and look like haven't moved in months
- Melinda (5/5): This place sucks - The distance No one was at the front desk when I arrived, and the room and bath was filthy. The bed had bedbugs, and they put me in an adjoining room, which I did not reserve originally. Didn’t stay the second night called me number sent a message through booking.com to get no reply regarding a refund and I canceled it before midnight the same day and turned in the key checked out 8 AM.
- Tabitha (6/5): Ok can't complain - It was fair the staff were extremely nice
- Brian (8/5): - Good hotel for my needs. No desk at night and in morning. I left early in the morning. Felt I needed to call in to make sure I was checked out. Would be helpful to have a touch screen for check out or even a key dropoff.
- Lashon (1/5): Un satisfying - I didn’t the staff was rude and no one never answers the phone The lady at the front desk is rude and they have no customer service skills here.
- Jenna (1/5): Do u want your kids bit by a dog? No? Then don’t go. - Nothing Room 214 has people that live and work there with there two kids and two dogs that tried to attack my fiance. The dog ripped his food out of his hand. They left the door open and they cornered my fiance.
- Joseph (4/5): - The room was okay. The bed was horrible. Very small and made a lot of noise when turning in bed. The customer service was subpar at best. I came a little early around 1pm. I had no were to go since I'm from out of state. I wanted to check in early but the guy said no rooms available. I understood but he said it in a rude rehearsed way big that makes sense? It was cold and raining. No consideration for guest at all. No rooms available is a bunch of Bull. I worked at motels in my past. I know how they do things. They could've made an exception. Once back at 3p the second employee was much better. However I the morning they were banging at the door around 950am saying they are collecting payment. I said check out is at 11am and I was leaving. Then they came back around 1050 banging on the door again. I said I am leaving! At this point I'm very annoyed. I can understand if it was 11am or a little after 11am then they could be banging and asking for payment. It was just a nuisance and place wasn't even worth it. I only stayed one night. I will never stay at this place ever again.
- Sarah (5/5): Passable - Ease of checkin The place was loud.. couldn't relax. Staff in the morning was rude
- Calvin (5/5): Passable -
- Manou (5/5): Passable -
- Johnny (1/5): Bad -
- Andrew (1/5): Bad -
- Brian (2/5): Rude, Unprofessional, and Crass - First off they didn’t have a room for me when I got there, and after some attitude and very unprofessional behavior, I ended up having to wait an extra hour. The staff there is so rude and made me extremely uncomfortable. It was a miserable experience and I will never stay there again.
- allensU9381OB (2/5): Terrible Experience. I don NOT recommend. - I have stayed at Extended Stay America on many occasions and have always enjoy my stay. Never have I had an experience as I did 3/27/25. I paid in advance for a 14 day stay at the Extended Stay in South Akron on Fortuna Drive as I was beginning a new job and needed to stay somewhere that had availability. That was a huge mistake!
When I checked in the staff was somewhat helpful, however there was extreme clutter behind the desk and the entry way. All other staff was curt and seemed to be disturbed that you would call on them for anything.
The bed was uncomfortable. The furniture shows very worn.
The room is very small and not able to accommodate someone staying for a couple of weeks. There was no breakfast, coffee, etc of any kind offered to guests.
There are no curtains on the windows. I had to request a blanket in an attempt to hide the light coming in the room night. The request for a blanket was met with hesitation.
Not only did I have to deal with the light coming in the room, the noise was much!
The room was not clean. The hallway has stains on the carpet with a smell. The next morning I found ROACHES under the sink! That was the final straw!!
When I spoke to the manager about the room conditions, he said he could not help me. I could not stay another night at the location. I call the number of the central office, he gave me, to talk about the financial balance of my stay.
THEY WOULD NOT HELP ME BECAUSE I PAID IN ADVANCE. I LOST OVER $800.00
I moved to another hotel and am very glad I did!
I lost that money but I found a better place and sleep much better.
I absolutely DO NOT recommend this location!
This facility requires a major overhaul, beginning with management, and cleaning.
- Selina (4/5): Disappointing - There was a kitchen in the room
it was cheap Very smelly on the hallway and the room too.. and the matress was laid trough.
Windows seemed very old - you could hear everything from the street - as if it was open (we had hotels in big cities right next to busy streets and it wasn‘t as loud as there)
There was nobody on the desk when we gave the key back - no check out box or anything, we just laid it on the counter 🤷🏻♀️
- Shane (8/5): Very good -
- Corbin (1/5): a terrible saga of tragic unpleasantries - the price, but not enough to matter that much We left the property late into the night (a little before midnight). The property smelled of cigarettes and weed smoke, dog across the hall barked often, and the cops showed up and pounded on the door across the hall for about 10 minutes telling the occupants to 'come out, we are not leaving until you do'.
- Bratoya (5/5): Passable -
- Devin (7/5): Overall a great stay, highly recommend for a budget weekend. - Clean rooms, cool little kitchen and big fridge.
Spacious bathroom, great price for the quality. The hallways smelled like seafood and the hallway floors were a bit gross.
- Eric (10/5): - Great stay
- Eric (10/5): - Great stay!!
- Toya (6/5): It was ok. Could have been better - I like the cleanliness of the room . I don’t like how they don’t have cooking pans or forks or anything in that category smh. Do I had to buy all my own.
- Melinda (4/5): - The workers were not happy to be there and they would not greet you. Everything was dirty and even tho it says no smoking they were smoking
- Jarrad (4/5): - They charge for the kitchenware an they charge a linen fee for clean bedding are towels, or you have to wash them your self
- Tayvon (10/5): Great and safe PLACE to stay - I am so impressed by Christian dedication to making our stay perfect - they really go the extra mile to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
- Kimberly (7/5): Good -
- Joshua (3/5): Poor -
- Kimberly (8/5): Very good -
- kellyaQ298UU (2/5): Very, very unhappy customer - T this was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in and I have stayed in some pretty bad ones. I booked our four nights stay through Super.com and they wouldn’t help me the front desk wouldn’t help me. They pretty much told me there was nothing that anybody could do to just deal with it we have no hot water. The room is filthy. I can deal with dirty a little bit but filthy is unacceptable Extended StayAmerica you should be ashamed of yourself. I cannot get a hold of guest relations until Monday. The water this morning was lukewarm lukewarm to cold not only was the room filthy. There was a cockroach crawling across the floor. This place should be shut down.
- Travis (8/5): Very good -
- Christine (1/5): Bad -
- Fire (7/5): Good -
- aligwhit1 (2/5): Won't Be Back - The stay was interesting. The alarm went off multiple times. The room was decent, but the kitchenette stove that they provide can't be used unless you want to buy their kitchen kit for $30.
The young woman at the front desk was awesome. She displayed amazing customer service skills when the key wasn't working when I arrived a little before midnight. She quickly moved me to a different room, but the key still wouldn't work with the new room. She remained calm and just very kind. She let me into my new room and assured me they would fix it in the morning. Each time I saw her, she was very friendly.
The disappointment came when I asked a man at the front desk about the washer because it didn't work at first. He stated that because the washer was there by a third party, he didn't know why it wasn't working. He didn't try to call anyone and didn't even walk with me to the washer to see if he could figure out what the issue was, so I observed no customer service skills with him. Instead, he told me in a rude tone that he didn't know because it was there by a third party company. I even asked if he could call his supervisor. He told me there was only one person above him and repeated himself about the third party. I then reminded him that even if it was there by a third party, he should know something about them because they're in his hotel and I walked away to go figure it out myself. I finally got it working. All I had to do was slide my card in the opposite direction. He could have helped with that, I would have expressed my appreciation, and it would have been a great interaction, but instead, he chose to be so rude and completely unhelpful.
Last Saturday morning, I had asked the woman at the front desk if there would be a refund if I checked out one day early since I no longer needed it. She assured me that it would be refunded to the card and the manager was just behind her as she told me this. However, the following day, Sunday, one, there was no hot water. I then had to leave before the front desk opened and I called to tell Christian, the manager that I had checked out and left the keys in the room. He said that was fine, but when I double checked and asked to ensure the card was refunded, he told me there was a charge of $43 for the day I didn't stay. That was not okay with me because it was my brother's card and I now owe him that $43! I calmly told him that I had specifically asked the woman at the front desk the day before and she assured me that the card would be refunded for the one day I no longer needed. Christian refused to listen and instead, became angry yelling at me claiming he wasn't going to argue over policy. He then hung up on me.
I have never been treated so rudely by hotel staff and I have stayed in many hotels. I could not believe Christian didn't even apologize for his employee's misinformation. I will not be returning to this hotel and I am cautioning anyone reading this to beware of these two men who are the MANAGERS. They should be demoted and required to receive customer service skills training and Christian needs anger management classes.
- Kimberlye (8/5): Very good -
- Kimberlye (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (2/5): Caution. No night front desk service at this hote - I made a reservation via Hotels.com but when i arrived at the hotel, the front desk was closed for the night. I had to drive and make reservations elsewhere.
- Bobby (10/5): - Just need a place to sleep. It was great
- Debbie Green (4/5): - no hot water
- Shayqan (2/5): Very poor -
- mmF8974OE (2/5): Worst hotel no hot water - No hot water to shower. Called the front desk. Did nothing about it. Past reviews also complain about no hot water. Never go there again. Unbelievable! Worst hotel ever. Call them before you book to make sure they have hotel water!!!!!!!!!!!
- Luis (8/5): - My only complaint is that I did not have a coffee maker in my room. Other than that, it was just fine for one night stay.
Will I comeback? It will depend on my situation.
- Tiffany (4/5): I cleaned and disinfected the entire room and bathroom myself. It was so gross. - It was a full suite with kitchen and bathroom. It’s was very dirty. The sheets and blankets were dirty. The floors and walls were absolutely disgusting.
- Verified traveler (2/5): One-night in Ickyville, Ohio - The hotel is a disaster. The man there at night, I believe his name was Chris, was awesome. He was doing the best he could. The room card maker wasn't working. Our first room had vomit or feces in the toilet. It wouldn't flush down. The second room had used sheets with long black hair still between the sheets. The shower was ice cold at night, so I went to sleep after a cold shower. Meanwhile, Chris was up and down the elevator, letting people in their rooms. I really felt bad for him. The general conditions were poor and the entire hotel needs a major cleaning to say the least.
- Gary (8/5): Very good -
- Gary (9/5): Superb -
- Ms. (6/5): Pleasant -
- James (2/5): NEVER AGAIN - When I arrived waited 45 minutes for front desk clerk to show up I was released from hospital and couldn’t park near property because there was paving going on in parking lot had to park on street
- Melissa (2/5): Not happy - At check in it took 45 minutes for someone to come let us in and give us keys to our room then the tv didn’t have a signal so we couldn’t watch tv it was just terrible all the way around
- Kristopher (7/5): Good -
- JoAnna (4/5): - Hallways and elevator constantly smelled like pot and cat urine. There are people living there regularly, including one who was drunk sitting outside. Unfortunately, hardly any "comfortable amenities" for a long-term stay are there, and the front desk is closed overnight, making it difficult to contact when out of supplies or in need of managing the property noise levels and smells. No dishes (I suppose you can buy them, but that's not ideal for travelers), and only TP in the rooms, no kleenex, no shampoos, etc, no housekeeping unless staying long enough or perhaps special requests. Have to take out own trash, etc. Laundry was $3 in quarters per wet and per dry load. Would not return to this hotel.
- Kris (5/5): Passable - The location I showered and within 5 mins the hot water was gone. Completely. The toilet ran every time we flushed it. We had to keep going back in and jiggling the handle. The person that checked us in left and put a sign out that said they'd be right back. That same sign was still there the next day when we went to check out. There was no room key drop box.
- Jeffery (8/5): - Clean and friendly staff
- Charlene (10/5): - It was very nice and quiet. The water in the tub was not going down.
- Kenyetta (1/5): Bad - I was not pleased at all. They had roaches 🤦🏻♀️ I will never stay there again. when I told them I seen a roach in my room they act like they did not care at all, i didn't even get an apology. I checked out immediately.🏃🏻♀️➡️🏃🏻♀️➡️
- Jennifer (2/5): - The absolute worst ever. Lied to myself and to a Summit County Sheriff. Stated they had received numerous complaints about a dog continuously barking and they would not be extending their stay. This was stated to myself and to the Sheriff who also witnessed and was able to hear the dog. Then they turned around and didnt move anyone. I would have not renewed my stay if i would have been told they intended on doing nothing about it.
- Anthony (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay
- Trivia (1/5): Don’t stay here - The bed and location It smelled like cat urine, I was bit by bed bugs. After certain hours no employee contact. Bites are also on my my back but I can’t get pictures of them.
- Stevie (4/5): - Smells like smoke and says no smoking. No ice machine they have ice trays.
- Jennifer (4/5): - The two gentlemen that work at front desk are kind and helpful. There was a dog that barked non stop for 2 days atraight. Couldnt sleep.
- Randall (4/5): - Pretty much a half way house. Poor management, grounds around are littered with trash, empty wine bootles and beer cans.
- Slater (8/5): Very good -
- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Slater (7/5): Good -
- Mary (5/5): I wouldn’t stay there again. - The guy at the front desk was nice The room smelled the bathroom was not clean, neither was the towels.
- Yogesh (9/5): Superb -
