• Sermporn (10/5): - We stayed at Banlomnow in Chiang Rai during our family trip to explore the city, and it was such a lovely experience. The accommodation is clean, charming, and has a cozy, home-like atmosphere. The buildings are decorated in a Thai style with white tones, and the surroundings are peaceful and green, making it a very relaxing place to stay. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the location is right in town, making it easy to get around to different attractions. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend Banlomnow to anyone visiting Chiang Rai!

• Marcus (10/5): Definitely recommend!! - Such a cute, quiet little place. Our room was really big and the bed was extremely comfortable too! The staff are so friendly and so kind! They have a breakfast room where you can have toast, cereal, biscuits, tea and coffee in the morning. The location is around 10 minute walk to the central shopping mall and around 25 minute walk to the night Bazaar, but grab taxis are super easy to get and very cheap. Overall, would 100% recommend and will definitely be back!! Nothing!

The location is a bit off from the main busy street which makes it peaceful but yet still easy to get around to restaurants and convenient stores nearby by foot. If i ever go back to Chiangrai, i will definitely try to book again this hotel. Nothing really that I didn’t like. If i have to pick one, i would say pillow as i prefer a bit soft and flat pillow.

Really enjoyed our stay here! the bed is really hard, took some time to get used to it. also can be quite noisy at nights and in the mornings. some darker curtains would be also considerable, as the room at nights and especially in the mornings is super light.

• Bing (5/5): Sound insulation is poor. - Hotel appearance, staff and hygiene are good. The sound insulation is too poor, you can clearly hear the conversation next door. The neighbors were too noisy, and the sound from the bar outside was too loud, so I couldn't sleep.

I wish they offered some basic amenities like a kettle for the room. Staff are friendly and check in and check out was a breeze.

We had a beautiful corner room (203)with lovely big windows and floral decor. We arrived at 10am and our room was ready much to our surprise, just been cleaned and super fresh. We slept very well, in a quiet little Soi off the main road without noise. A perfect choice and charming owner.

It is close enough to town (although I didn't see many taxis or tuk tuks) and a short walk from the main road into town with a number of local restaurants and bars. The owner is very pleasant and helpful. Clean and restful. I would certainly stay here again.

The hostess,Sea, speaks good English and very gracious, friendly, and generous. When I booked the hostel, the confirmation from Agoda said breakfast not included,but Sea offered every guest free breakfast, anyway. She makes me feel this is my home in Chiang Rai. I would definitely come again and again.
• Span890 (10/5): A very beautiful hotel - Banlomnow Hotel is a very beautiful hotel surrounded by white buildings and many colorful plants and trees. The owner of the hotel is a young nice lady - Ms. Sea. At first day of our arrival, I told her I made a mistake for my hotel booking as I can't stay in Banlomnow as I booked. Ms.Sea was very kind with me and told me don't worry about booking, we can stay anytime as we like, the hotel will only charge the cost according to the actual living night. We are very appreciated with Ms. Ser ' generous offer. The hotel is not only a clean,quiet and well maintained place, but also a fun and relaxing place. We like it's garden and kitchen very much. Every night, we made hot tea in the kitchen like in our home. Many kinds of flowers and plants spread good smells everywhere. In the morning, we love the cock crows and birds chirps, and walked around nearby in a very fresh air. Then, we had a wonderful breakfast in that lovely kitchen/dining house. That is perfect life for us, we have found it in Banlomnow. Definitely, we will back here in our next trip to Thailand.
• reubstube (10/5): Clean and great service - Out of all my travels around Thailand, Banlomnow was one of those accommodations that made an impression on me. The room I got was showing it's age (only slightly) but is big, clean, comfortable and very well-maintained. They're some comfy rest areas outside which is nice. I like the overall look and design of the hotel. Location wise, it's on a small quiet Soi just off the main road. While not in the city centre itself, the hotel is 500m walk to the Central Plaza mall and has a 7-11 within walking distance. I didn't have much difficulty getting into town. Reception can call you a cab if you need one or you can just walk to the main road and hail one or a tuk tuk. The real winner is the service provided by the owner and manager Ms Sea who is truly kind, nice and genuine. She will go out of her way to help yo and was very helpful in organizing a day trip to Phu Chi Fah for a competitive price that is much better than quotes I got from other places. Ms Sea even got up at 4am to ensure that the car arrived and I was on my way. On the day I checked out, I spent a good 6 hours relaxing in the public area and she brought water and snacks on her own initiative. Can't recommend this place enough. Will stay here the next time I'm in Chiang Rai.

A quiet location, about a 7 min drive to the night market, or 20 minute walk The rooms are beautiful and clean, and the towels are made into.... I won't small the surprise! Good car parking is available.

• gerryc682 (10/5): A gem in Chang Rai - After a very pleasant bus ride from Chang Mai my wife and I arrived in the very nice city of Chang Rai and took a taxi to our hotel and from the moment we arrived we knew that we were going to enjoy our stay at this charming establishment. We were warmly greeted by the lovely Sea ( that's her name ) and her mother and shown to our accommodation on the ground floor at the rear of the property and were immediately impressed by the ambiance of the room, sitting on top of the very comfortable and king sized bed were our fresh towels made up in the shape of an elephant which we thought was a nice touch, the room itself was very well appointed with the shower providing strong and hot water pressure. Having studied in Canada Sea's level of English was excellent and was very helpful in arranging a full day private tour of the Chang Rai region in addition to the hiring of a motor bike for a day. Although the reasonable rate does not include breakfast there is a nice little dining area providing a help yourself coffee and tea etc all day and Sea provides guests with tasty sandwiches, nibbles and fresh fruit every morning at no charge. The location of this hotel is in a very quiet street and only a few minutes away by tuk tuk ( 100 Baht ) from the must visit night markets and other places of interest. Of the four hotels we stayed on our recent visit to Thailand this hotel rates as number one, would recommend and will certainly stay there again when next we visit Chang Rai

Location wasn't the best ,but we hire the motorbike from them ,so we can go everywhere . And also fun for riding instead using tuk tuk or taxi . The best choice to stay . • ChloeLau (10/5): Great - Looks exactly like the photo. Staff spoke adequate English, helpful, polite. We booked 3 rooms, 2 rooms upstairs. If you dont like walking up the stairs, get a room on the ground floor. The staff said, it has opened for only a year, and you see that the design is romantic and new. The room is of decent space, but without sofa, etc... For a short stopover, it is perfectly good. However, if you have young kids who may need to spend some time in the room, or to use the pool, no... this is not the place. We really need a clean and quiet place to rest. So, we like it very much. Breakfast was simple, but I would say adequate, and we liked the glutinous rice. I would probably go there again.
• mbaa_12 (10/5): look no further! - I was drawn to this inn by the pretty pictures. I did not expect such warm hospitality and superb service that would rival 5 star hotels! Thanks to Ms Sea, I was able to book a cab driven by a very reliable and helpful driver to Phu Chi Fa and get bus tickets to Chiang Mai. The rooms were very homey, extra clean, the bathrooms spotless and the room color was very cheerful! I could live there for days. The mall was 500m away. It was a very cheap cab ride away if you were too lazy to walk. To Banlomnow, a job superbly done! More power to you esp to the ever smiling Ms Sea!

Rooms and bathrooms are clean and beautiful with reasonable price. There is free wi-fi in rooms and lobby area. I didn't expect the breakfast would be varied considering the room rate, there are quite various food prepared though. You won't regret staying here.

Our room was large, spotlessly clean, and well appointed. The free Wi-Fi worked well. All the outside areas where clean and well manicured. Breakfast is continental buffet style, and was perfectly adequate for us, but may not suite some western male appetites. The management and staff here have a Hotel to be proud of. Well done, and thank you. Would we stay again? DEFINITELY.
• Ketho80 (10/5): Superb!!! - Highly recommended if you wish to stay at Chiangrai! The room is exactly what you see in the website. Ambiance, chic and clean too ( if not wrong, it was established a year ago). Hotel owner is friendly and helpful whereby they offered to send us to a restaurant located at Down Town as Tuk Tuk /taxi was fully booked during the time we would like to go out. Breakfast variety is more than what we expected and it is delicious too. However, it was a bit cold when it served maybe due to cool weather during our visit but I am sure that they are willing to heat it up if we requested to. The only con I would say is location was not near to clock tower or night Bazaar(if you plan to visit both places) thus you may need to get a Tuk Tuk to this places. For me, it was not a big deal because Tuk Tuk can be arranged with reasonable price.
• 199annabellem (10/5): Beautiful, peaceful and spotless - The hotel is set back in a relaxing garden/ patio. Everything is newly decorated in fresh colours which gives an overall feeling of peacefulness and cleanliness. The staff are really friendly and helpful and make a lovely breakfast. They tried to answer any questions we had and got up at 5 am to make sure we got in our taxi ok!!! The room was beautiful with tv and minibar and towels displayed like elephants. The hotel is slightly out of not but a very short cheap taxi ride or easy if you hire a scooter as we always do. With the help of the lady at reception we were also able to do our own tour of longneck and white temple etc by scooter avoiding having to do an excursion. At night there is a security guard although the place seems very safe anyway. Overall a really nice stay.
• MixedTravel_13 (10/5): Would not hesitate to recommend! - Banlomnow was one of those rare finds with very clean, quite, spacious and well appointed rooms with a very reasonable (low) room rate that included breakfast. The staff were pleasant, the rooms had wifi and the grounds were well kept and relaxing. While the breakfasts (which we had not expected because of the low room rate of less then AUD30 per double per night) were not a fancy five star hotel buffet, they were a mix of Thai and European breakfast offerings which were more than enough and were very pleasant. Noting that it was a new place having only been open for about 9 months, it was hard to find any fault with this venue in terms of quality or price. We booked through booking.com and the staff were ready for us, including for our 20 month old son. The hotel wasn’t in the easiest location to find so it helps to have a map ready to go to help find it (the map on booking.com was good but the hotel was not easily found on Google). The hotel is also not in the centre of town, but it was only a cheap five minute taxi ride away so this didn't really pose a problem. There were also plenty of local food shops and street stalls (and convenience stores) less than five minutes away by foot so if you fell lazy there is no need to hit the tourist centre of town to eat. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a hotel close to the centre of Chiang Rai town which is good value for money.
