Michael (10/5): - Helpful staff. Clean Rooms. Good basic breakfast items in the morning. One thing to note, Make sure you get to a restaurant or a bar before 8:30 pm to eat. Pocahontas does not have many restaurants that serve food late. After 9:30 pm on a Saturday night the only option i could find was Caseys to order a pizza.

It gets frustrating when you pay for service and there is no one around to help!

Crystal (8/5): - I liked the set up of the hotel and it appeared to be well maintained in the few areas I viewed during my stay. My room had a few cosmetic issues, but was really comfortable besides that. Walls are thin so I could easily hear those in the rooms next to me. The staff wasn't welcoming, didn't care if I was there or not. I was surprised to find out it's locally owned and operated. I would hope to think those folks behind the front desk would love to see new people coming to this quaint little town. Wish I had more time to explore the rest of the hotel and the town. The breakfast was a very simple continental breakfast, Caseys is just a short drive down the street though.

Kathy (8/5): Comfortable stay, great value in rural Iowa - Local hotel in small town Iowa. I had a queen room with one bed, which I really like because of the extra space. The room featured all the usual amenities and included a recliner; it was great to be able to put my feet up after a long day of driving and standing. It was very comfortable and quiet and I enjoyed my stay very much (my second time here). Because I traveled with my own food, however, I didn't try the continental breakfast offerings so I can't comment on them. I will certainly stay here again next time I'm in the area.
