• Curtis (10/5): I would stay here again and again. - Staff was wonderful! We could not have asked for more. Cedric also made suggestions of places to eat and did not disappoint. Need extra blanket in the room. Staff did provide an extra one when asked. Couch foldout bed looked like it was still dirty from the last occupant. We did not use it.

Frühstück: Alles alles in Plastik eingepackt. Superschlechte Lebensmittelqualität. Abartik teuer für das was einem geboten wurde. Stinkige Zimmer. Keine Fenster aber eine Klimaanlage direkt auf das Bett gerichtet. Sehr verwilderte Zimmer.

The bacon and the sausage did not appear to be well done either morning, so I made a waffle each morning. The elevator did not appear to have been cleaned/swept.

• Wrk2srf (2/5): Paid in full through Priceline, hotel would not honor reservation - I booked and paid in full for this reservation in advance through Priceline. The front desk staff said they were unable to charge “the Priceline card” for the full amount of my stay. They refused to honor the reservation using the typical defense that their screen wouldn’t let them unless I paid more money. In this situation, the hotel should ask for proof of payment, get a copy of the receipt then deal with Priceline directly. If Priceline is the problem, they can stop advertising their hotel through this booking website.

• TODD (8/5): Tip on Gameday - Got an email saying there would be no room service, even though it was1100 a night. Smelled smoke in the room,and even tbough they charged for parking,could not guarantee we would get a space,and had signs that they were not responsible for any damage. Elevator bell sounded like a horrow film. Otherwise it was ok. People were nice.

• Lillian (6/5): - I was looking for a place to stay on my ride home and had stayed at Home2 Suites(different locations) before so this seemed like an easy decision. The property looked welcoming and safe which I appreciated. The room looked like someone had just left, toilet seat cracked and no soap in the bathroom… fine, but nothing alarmed me as much as when I saw my bill. The pet fees were overcharged(doubled in fact @ $150 for a one night stay when I was told I’d be charged $75) and the drinks in the market area are way exaggerated(2 bottled soft drinks were $20). I know beverages at hotels are more expensive, but stadium prices? Still waiting on the incidental fee to return. I’m not sure if this is a normal occurrence or just mistakes, which I could understand… something tells me this happens often and people tired from traveling just don’t question it.

• EasyGoer89 (8/5): Nice property - quiet area - I chose this location on the fourth night of a cross-country drive hoping to see the university, but the weather was terrible upon arrival. The property is very nice and situated in a quiet area towards the end of a street. It is a typical Home2 with the clean and efficient rooms, plus a quality breakfast. Everything in the room worked properly and the front desk attendants were helpful when I had an issue with my car.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Showing It's Age - Overall, the stay was okay. When we checked in, I noticed there were no coffee pods, but they got us some quickly. I had requested a room with a tub, which they provided, but the drain stop didn't function, so we had to use bath cloths. I informed them at checkout. The only other problem was a little after midnight when we were trying to go to sleep, it sounded like a thundering herd above us, and I called the front desk and they said the folks in the room had just checked in and they were going to call their room to ask them to quiet down. It seemed to work.

I called the front desk he said they would give us a new room. We had to go back down to the lobby. We waited 25 min to get a new room. Then they charged me $50 more than what it said I would “pay at property”.

• Carlos (10/5): - Upon arrival 1130am garbage can full to the top ,floor had some debris....i worked hotels in nyc 5 stars hotel main important thing is cleanliness...keep the public area clean and spotless...yout pool was full of foam the sink in bathroom has dirt buildip around rim of sink use steamers for this and same for bathroom floor and shower use steamers periodically and this wouldnt happen popcorn on floor....and front desk took too long to accommodate guest waiting at front desk to be helped

• Corey (10/5): - The assistant General Manager, Amie Williams, is the best hotel manager that I've ever experienced, she is very attentive to the needs of patrons, she made me and my family feel welcome and valued from the beginning of our stay, to our departure, definitely a "high performer " in her field of work and expertise! Angel, the nice lady who was responsible for the breakfast accommodations, provided an exceptional meal every morning during our stay, good food, with a good variety, with good and hot coffee, along with other drinks that my family enjoyed!! The facilities were very well kept, clean and safe! The entire staff made our stay one of the best experiences I've had in years, we definitely will be returning!

• Jonathan (2/5): - When we entered the room, we immediately noticed a large amount of crumbs and dirt on the floor—it was clear the carpets hadn’t been vacuumed in quite some time. The bathroom was in even worse condition, with personal hairs scattered across the floor, what appeared to be vomit stains on the walls, and grime built up in the corners. We reported the situation to the front desk, and to their credit, they promptly moved us to another room. Unfortunately, the second room—on the same floor—seemed to have been cleaned by the same housekeeper, as it also had dirty floors and an unclean bathroom. Thankfully, we were only staying for one night. We won’t be returning to this location.

The fire alarm went off at 3am with no staff to be found. Coffee maker did not work the next morning so there was no coffee with breakfast. It was not a good experience for what we paid.
• michaelpE6859ZF (10/5): Great hotel for families - Great hotel. It is recently renovated with very comfortable beds and pillows. The bed linens are also very soft, which was a added bonus. It not only was it lovely and the staff friendly, but it was located in the middle of town and withing walking distance of great restaurants and shops. The breakfast was great and having the full fridges was great for the famly. It will be our hotel every time we are in Tuscaloosa.

• JennyE117 (4/5): Underwhelming - We stayed 2 nights at this hotel for a college visit. While the location is great, and the hotel has been recently remodeled, our stay was disappointing. The hotel was dirty - as in not maintained, cleaned, etc. The breakfast both days was severely lacking and underwhelming. Most importantly the staff did not seem to care about their jobs or the guests and were very unprofessional overall. It was a very underwhelming experience. We will pay more and stay elsewhere next time.
• warlord (8/5): Good Hotel Downtown - The hotel is pretty good. You can opt to park on the road or in the parking lot as well. The front lobby was nice and check in was fine with a pleasent staff. Located near the lobby area is a small gym and an indoor pool. The room size was pretty big from what I was expecting, it had the sleeping area, a living room and the TV was great to see from the couch or the bed. Full size fridge which was really nice, dishes, dish washer and a microwave. The bed has charge ports on either side of the bed which I feel is needed in modern times. The bathroom was fine, but I did noticed the shower soap, body wash, etc wasn't locked so people could easily tamper with the contents and that has happened to a lot of people in hotels that use those. Kitchen floor had a number of scuff marks and looked like it was from possibly installing the dishwasher as the dirt was concentrated around there. It wasn't something I could get out with just soap and water. Location is fine, on the far end of downtown away from campus and a bit of a walk to the campus though, but close enough to the downtown area. Though you do have to cross the two busy one way roads...
