- Rithy (2/5): Not recommended rooms are old outdated and smelly - I really didn’t like it much The old guy who checked us in talks too much and assumed to much of what we want and do and make little remarks about things it was really unprofessional and the rooms are old and outdated and dusty, there’s a hole in our bedding and a hair in our shower

- mishell (1/5): Worse than Disappointing. - Nothing, this property did not look nothing like it’s online photos showed.I did not feel safe from what I witnessed outside just walking the parking lot and a man asked what I was looking at in a very menacing tone. Then the room key did not work, when it did the room was not pleasant smelly and the walls were dark dingy and just looked dirty and the WiFi signal was not stable. I went to the front desk asked for a refund and desk manager told me to contact Booking.com because he had not been paid yet, so I did now I now have to see if I get a refund. I did not stay I went somewhere else. It was the worse experience I’ve ever had using a booking app. I would never send another customer there.

- Priscilla (8/5): Definitely a great deal in a good location. - The staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. The price was certainly very good. The rooms were clean and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Bottle water was always available. Simple, but nice breakfast. Would stay again. The outside of the building was a bit dusty and dirty.

- Chrisoula (1/5): the staff was good but otherwise was absolutely awful and couldn't wait to get out. - The night manager and staff were very helpful and good. The room was absolutely filthy. Hair and stains on the sheets. Hair in the bathtub and on the bathroom counters. Overall the hotel was run down and dirty, not well kept. I told the hotel staff, they gave me another room. Second room was even worse, hair on sheets and a giant yellow stain on the bottom sheet as if somenone had peed on it! I went back to the first room and I asked the hotel staff for new sheets and changed them myself with the help of the night manager. Even the new sheets had mystery stains, but they came out of the clean laundry hopper so had to make do. Had kids that fell asleep in the car and we didn't want to go looking for a new hotel late at night in an unfamiliar town. Otherwise I would have left right away. I don't know why this place has good reviews, do not go!

I did not have a vehicle during my stay, so that was really convenient! I didn’t venture further down the street because I was there for just one night, but I think there may have been some more restaurants. Good sidewalks & traffic lights to keep you safe if you have to hoof it!

- Eric (8/5): I’ve stayed here several times over the past 5 years. For me, it’s pretty much a home away from home - I like the staff. They’re personable in a real way, not the fakey be-nice-to-the-customer way. For me, the location is about perfect. It’s quiet, out-of-the-way, but has a supermarket, panda express, pho restaurant, and a subway. When I didn’t feel like going to a sit-down restaurant, I just walked across the street for food to take back to my room. And let’s not forget, Safeway has beer and wine to go with whatever you get.

- Angelika (6/5): - Hotel was Ok until I saw tons of bugs on window sill, made me look a little closer. Pillows were flat and not comfortable. AC worked great…it actually got too cold. Bath Tub had rust stains, sink was outside of bathroom.

This hotel was very outdated, from the entry doors that have an actual key instead of card access, doors that lead to nowhere, the smell in the room (mold/ cigarettes), the furniture was old /outdated, lighting was not great, to the tv that offered no channels. I did not feel safe in the room or in the hotel as security measures were non existent.
- stalin (10/5): - Dropped off my son at Cal for his second year. I’ve always stayed here when I travel to the East Bay Area. There is a Safeway across the street. Near downtown Castro Valley for restaurants and entertainment. Will continue staying here.

- Abegail (3/5): Rude employees - Looks different on the picture its not the issue, actually i came in at exact 3pm to check-in i see the parking space thinking its not fully book i asked on the reception if they have available room on the first floor because of my kids, but he said no available room they gave me a room on the 2nd floor and the time i open the room its a shock that the room is not clean and all the bed are messed up. Its a nightmare for me. So i had to go back downstairs with the kids again to tell the room its not ready. On our 2nd night we didnt sleep in our room and the day of our check out came back in our room at 7am, check out time its 11am are key its not working anymore, the guy on the front desk he said they thought we left already and he put are room for other guest he said its actually he doesnt need to explain him self. But thats bulls*** we paid for our room so its up to us if we are going to stay or not. They should wait until i check out.

- Jan (8/5): - There is a shopping center across the street with a few easy eating options (we chose Panda Express). There was a good frozen yogurt option for dessert. If you want to "fend for yourself", there is a large Safeway Supermarket with lots to choose from. The slow check-in was due to an illness in the primary front desk person so I am assuming it was temporary. The staff was friendly and when we needed help with the TV, they responded quickly. Clean, neat accommodations which fit our needs and a good quality bed.

Futon bed when opened had some trash/ debris. On last day my wife found some blood splash on one of the door frames.

- Mixson (5/5): Passable - Location was good, room was decent. Breakfast was okay, cereal, juice, coffee, toast and some pastries. There were no fitted sheets on our bed, so it was annoying fixing the blankets a lot at night. Even after them cleaning the room, same sheets. Breakfast was cleaned up early one day during our visit, and the picture in our room was upside down (just thought that was funny)
