• Deanne (9/5): We would definitely stay there again. - We were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, looked nice, comfortable stay. The staff was nice too. They can’t change this but we were travelling with truck and trailer and it was a tight entrance to get in. Doable though.

• Cheryl (8/5): Clean, pleasant. - The room was cold and had a damp feel.,heat hadn't been used. No extra blankets. By time we left the room was starting to feel warmer and sheets stopped being clammy. So suggest in fall season pre warm room when guests are prebooked.

• Kathryn (8/5): We had a wonderful time using the pool and visiting the beach that was close by. - I liked the pool. The pool was warm, easy to enter. The air conditioning was very noisy and needed to be turned off to sleep. This made the room warm.o

• Edward (10/5): It was awesome. - I didn't have a meal there. But the reason I was there was a show by Natalie MacMaster and her husband Donnel. She is a fiddler from Cape Breton Nova Scotia Canada. Where my mother Annie MacAskill Primeau came from Englishtown Cape Breton Nova Scotia. She came to Detroit in 1918. Later she met my father Paul Primeau. They were both telegraph operators. So sometimes when they were playing cards and there opponents thought they were tapping on the table they thought they were cheating. By the way in the early 70s I worked for the J W Westcott company that delivers mail to ships on the Detroit River. I worked in the office as a dispatcher. I would talk to the ships by radio. Back then you couldn't text anyone. But the Westcott company had teletype machine provided by Western Union. My mother Annie worked for Western Union so sometimes she would text me by the teletype machine. Also there is something unique about my father's birthday. He was born on March 29th 1897. My son Paul was born on March 29th 1976. And a choir friend of mine Paul Spencer was also born on March 29th, but I don't know what year. Nothing

• iron (10/5): Comfy cozy motel - Very clean everywhere. The pool, the rooms, the office, the grounds. Dated but well maintained. There is a pool, sauna AND a hot tub.

• Rick (8/5): Always our go-to for a short getaway. - Clean, good size rooms with all the amenities, but our favorite is always the indoor pool with hot tub and sauna. Bring slippers if you're staying in the colder months. The laminate floors take a very, very long time to warm up.

• 547marindab (10/5): Cozy place with Above Friendly - This place wax so easy to get to! CLEAN!!!! And the ladies I had the chance to meet were so friendly and helpful! The place was smaller than it seemed in photos but honestly doesn’t even matter. They put me in a top corner room close to the pool section so it wasn’t a far walk (it’s in a separate building) - if you are looking for a PRIME location to walk or short drives to the center and beaches this is the place - there as a great breakfast place 2 min walk - and bowling across the way. If you are looking for no street noise I would suggest a room in the back. But over all - extremely happy with this choice for the value was worth it!

• Murray Thomas (7/5): Missteps - Renovated room with good bathroom. Quiet location The first night was fine but our room wasnt cleaned the next day. The following day we asked about it and they pointed to a notice on the check in desk that room cleaning was every other day, which is fine but it wasnt pointed out on check in. So the next day when the room was to be cleaned it wasnt. The front desk apologised and said it should have been done.. The next day we saw the housekeeper and she asked if we wanted the room cleaned and we said yes. On our return that night the garbage was gone, the room wasnt cleaned, all the towels were gone but they. were good enough to leave a floor mat and a face cloth. I went back to front desk the next day and again they were apologetic and i told them we were checking out the next day so we did not need service. We got back that night and our room was beautifully serviced. Front desk hours are 9am to 9pm and we always got back after 10pm

• Janis (10/5): Pleasant stay. - Very clean. Good location. I was disappointed that the pool and hot tub closed at 8. We had a long drive and were looking forward to using the facilities in the evening. We didn't get in until 7:30.
• Les (8/5): Very convenient for a night stay to leave in early morning for a long drive home. Easy in and out. - Very clean and easily accessible. Excellent value for the price. Stayed one night so a smaller room met our needs. Able to park outside our door on the first level. Quiet inside during night. Could watch the ball game on the tv. Comfortable bed. Room a little small but ok.

I would stay there again. The television is outdated, and I didn't have the option to connect with my subscription service such as netflix, etc. The room was a bit small. There was no iron. The mattress seemed to be at the end of the life cycle. It was too soft.

Only complaint was that our AC unit broke and made terrible noises in the middle of the night so we had to shut it off. We spoke to the office staff and were told we would have a follow up call from the hotel manager-which never happened. It was clean and a good location for the places we wanted to visit.

• Fred (10/5): - The property appears to be a renovation of an older property, so the exterior and walways to the second floor look a bit dated, but once inside you soon realize that everything has been completely rebuilt, with all new wooden floors, complete new bathroom with good equipment. I was pleasantly surprised and did enjoy my stay. The street that runs past the property has a fair amount of traffice but everything is pretty quiet from early evening until probably 7:00AM. I would stay there again on my next trip.

• Darlene (10/5): - I chose this hotel because I was just passing through and it’s inexpensive but I’ve been impressed. The front staff were friendly and helpful. The room spotless, comfy bed, room temperature good, bathroom and shower great. Thoughtful reading lights, a good sized fridge and microwave, samsung tv, I’m looking forward to a swim before I hit the road. The decor is very plain but everything else is top notch.

• KarenConab (10/5): A GEM - value for money! - This hotel is an absolute gem. The entire property is smart, clean, and appears to have been recently refurbished. Our room was modern and immaculate. While the bathroom was on the smaller side, it was well-maintained and didn't detract from the overall excellent experience. The hotel's classic layout is charming, and the amenities were a definite highlight—a large, pristine pool, a sauna, a jacuzzi, and a gym, all in perfect condition. The location is ideal for accessing the town, and the staff and owner were incredibly helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning.

Water pressure in shower was good though as was the shampoos etc rhey provided. No counter in bathroom for your stuff.

My husband found the bed very comfortable and had fun watching tv from the bath tub. I did not find the bed comfortable and every pillow I tried felt like it was made of rocks.
