Barbara (10/5): Excellent hotel with wonderful staff. - The staff at this hotel is beyond excellent. They were very accommodating for everything we needed. They even went above and beyond and surprised my son with a birthday cake and singing on his birthday. They recommended a private "Super Ultimate" island hopping tour that was very well priced and we had a blast. The food at the restaurant was good. Breakfast was my favorite. They also prepared to-go breakfast sandwiches for us to take on our boat tour. The pool is clean and there is ample shade and sun. The only thing that I can think of to improve is better wifi. You could access websites, but you can't stream anything. I am in good shape, so it didn't bother me, but some people would have trouble with this hotel if they are not used to climbing stairs. This place is like an M.C. Escher drawing with stairs literally everywhere. So, if you aren't into stairs, you might want to go somewhere with elevators and a simpler layout.

Sauberkeit und Umgan - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/10 – Leider kein angenehmer Aufenthalt Die Lage des Coron Bancuang Mansion war in Ordnung. Man erreicht das Zentrum zu Fuß in etwa 5–15 Minuten, je nachdem, wohin man möchte. Der Außenbereich wirkte gepflegt, allerdings ist das gesamte Gelände sehr verwinkelt aufgebaut. Es gibt einen kleinen Pool, der grundsätzlich nett ist, aber das Gesamtbild konnte den Aufenthalt nicht retten. Positiv hervorzuheben ist, dass das Personal freundlich war. Leider war unser Zimmer der größte Kritikpunkt. Es war nicht sauber, und an den Wänden befand sich sichtbarer Schimmel. Zusätzlich roch das Badezimmer sehr unangenehm, was den Aufenthalt deutlich beeinträchtigte. Wir haben den Schimmel beim Personal gemeldet. Daraufhin wurde uns zwar ein Zimmerwechsel angeboten, allerdings sollte das Ersatz-Zimmer auf der Straßenseite liegen und ohne Fenster sein – das kam für uns nicht infrage, da wir explizit ein Zimmer mit Fenster gebucht hatten. Unsere Nachfrage nach einem teilweisen Refund wurde mehrfach ignoriert, was den Gesamteindruck nochmals verschlechtert hat.
Edward (10/5): Very good stay. - Smoking option right outside room. little sitting area. Avoided the stairs. Very nice. Pool was a bonus. Not many places with pool in Coron at this price. Certain charm about hotel design. Never stayed at a place like this. On check out date two women came to my room and took all my heavy luggage to lobby. Without even asking for the assistance. Wow! Also arranged transfer to airport. Maybe some escalators. Many steps but somehow manageable.

Änne (6/5): Wir haben uns leider garnicht wohl gefühlt bezüglich Sauberkeit und Ausstattung des Zimmers. - Das Personal war sehr nett & im Restaurant gab es sehr leckeres Essen. Wir haben auf Anfrage immer neue Handtücher bekommen. Unser Zimmer hatte zwar Fenster, aber es kam kaum Tageslicht hinein, da das Hotel sehr verwinkelt ist. Im Bad haben wir an mehreren Stellen Schimmel gehabt. Generell hat es im Bad sehr unangenehm gerochen und wir haben uns dort sehr unwohl gefühlt. Die Klimaanlage ist sehr laut und auch verstaubt und dadurch haben wir das auch als unangenehm empfunden. Es gibt eine zusätzlichen Lüfter, der dauerhaft angeschaltet ist, der eine zusätzliche Dauerlautstärke einbringt. Das Zimmer ist extrem klein und wir empfanden es eher als ein dunkles Loch.

Internet doesn’t work and is very slow when it works. The street is noisy and only bothering when you’re at the reception or restaurant. We can’t hear the noise from our room location at 4th floor, which is great.

The property was fine but staying in room 205 next to the front desk got loud at times with customers checking in late at night or checking out really early and I could hear the loud conversations.

Kye (8/5): Family stay before island expedition launch - The staff were lovely upon checking in and offered early check in. We loved the rambling nature of the mansion which seemed to go up and up the hill. The internet was good and the rooms comfortable and air-conditioned. It is a short walk into town and near a mini mart. The air conditioning is loud and the breakfast ok (processed cheese in an omelette). The pool was murky so we opted not to swim at beginning of our trip. We didn’t mind the stairs but I can see others might find hard.

Cliff (8/5): Nice hotel - good location - The hotel is situated at the top of Coron town and there are many tricycles to take you the short ride into the centre. It is a quirky but pretty design and we rented 2 rooms at the top of the hotel. That meant quite a few steps from room to reception! The rooms were large and roomy. However they had no safe, which is meant leaving cash, cards and passports in reception. The restaurant was very good and value for money. The staff were very helpful and friendly, both in reception and the restaurant. TBH Coron town is not a beautiful town but Bancuang Mansion was quite pretty. Its unlikely we would go back to Coron but if we did, we would happily pick Bancuang Mansions again.

No lift, although helpful staff will help with luggage, could be awkward for anyone who can’t manage stairs well. Room could do with a bit of refresh, mainly the bathroom, but served us well enough.

Had wat kleding vergeten mee te nemen en dat hebben ze opgestuurd naar vrienden van ons op Bohol, zodat ik het weer terug kan krijgen. Verder ook mooie, schone kamers en lekker zwembad. Waren wel veel trappen om op te lopen naar onze kamers, maar was een goede work-out! 😊

Every room has its own issues- broken tiles, bathroom door won't close, is in the smoking area, on the 6th floor without an elevator, poor soundproofing... Water pressure was very low, and hot water was not hot enough, with a very noisy electric water heater.

Moberley (9/5): Enjoyed the restaurant very pleasant staff. - Friendly staff and very fast service when requested extra towels, etc, Very helpful in booking tours and even went out of the way to book a private fishing tour for our family on a private boat. The only thing is their stairs are very, very slick when it rains and there are a lot of them to climb, especially to the penthouse suite. I slipped as if I was on ice and the railing is to high to catch your fall. I slammed right down on my rear end and went all the way down like on a slide. They need to put sand paper strips down on those stairs, somebody is going to get hurt real bad I am afraid. I am 62 years old and I almost broke my pelvis and that would have cut my vacation right then and there. Be very careful if they haven't fixed it and it rains, you could have a very bad experience worse than what I went through and be wheeled out an a very bad way if you know what I mean?

The bathroom was kinda small and the shower water pressure was lacking most of the time. Also adding a mirror in the bathroom would be nice.

We also booked all our tours at the hotel reception and everything went well! The hotel has a bar where you can enjoy a drink and look over the city. Maybe ask for room in the back of the hotel as their is only one main road and it can be a little bit noisy in the front area. But as you leave everyday between 7-8 am for a tour it’s fine.

First room in extremely poor internet and had a smart TV that you couldn’t use due to bad internet and had no TV stations at all on TV. May as well not have a TV in room. Next room in had poor internet. No smart TV but local stations and MTV. So we watched only 90’s music haha. We were told hotel had cable including CNN, Movies and NAT Geographic. Had none of those and when I told them they just said that’s all you’ve got. More toiletries would be good in rooms. Beware if you don’t like stairs that this hotel only has stairs and lots of them.

Adriana (6/5): Good hotel. Eat somewhere else. - Spacious and clean room. Centrally located in Coron but no street noise. Had dinner in the hotel in the evening. Food poisoning from spaghetti carbonara. Staff provided medication, but not a pleasant flight the next day.
Anne (10/5): Beautiful hotel in Coron - We had a wonderful stay at Corong Bancuang Mansion. Our ferry from El Nido to Coron got cancelled due to bad weather and we got the slow boat instead. Upon arrival at the hotel, they surprised us with a free upgrade to the presidential suite! What a sweet surprise! There's no elevator, you need to walk until the top floor, but the room and the view was worth it. The room was huge! The beds and pillows were so comfortable. Their food at the restaurant was also delicious. Their staff are friendly and accomodating. Location is around 10 minutes walk to the main strip. We loved our stay at Coron Bancuang Mansion. If/when we come back to Coron, we'll definitely stay here again. It's a beautiful hotel that showcases Filipino roots from the wooden handcrafted displays to the furnishings.

Traveltopia (8/5): Outstanding Hotel - Room was large and clean, bed was comfortable, and the staff had a surprise towel cake and balloons in the room for my birthday. The location was great, and the hotel restaurant food was amazing.. we ate everything from fish & chips, calamari, chicken and mash patato to breakfast every day.. The staff here are so friendly...especially one we nic named smiley as she listened intently to all our silly questions and answered everything with a genuine smile.... she made our first impressions amazing. Not a dislike but more a recommendation, the American breakfast that comes with 2 toast, 2 bacon rashers, should also come with 2 eggs (not one)...

Florentin (7/5): Good - Friendly staff Good location. Short distance to walk from the center Room was spacious. There are almost 100 steps from hotel entry to the room. I was fine with it but i can imagine it will be challenging for some people. I think it should be mentioned by the hotel in room description. Very low water pressure. Got woken up loudly 00:30 by room service. But didn't order anything. Overpriced. Maybe got a bad deal but for the amount payed there is usually higher standard on the Philippines. It's still a fine to stay place.
