Guest Reviews
- Jan (7/5): Rooms are fine, eat elsewhere. - We liked having a fridge in the room . The room was well furnished and everything worked. Reception staff were very pleasant. The secondhand book stall which raised money for charity was a great idea. This was our second stay at the Lea Park and last time we'd had a meal on the Saturday evening. The restaurant had only one other table occupied, the waiter couldn't describe what was in the dishes and had not been aware that we'd booked a table (not that that would have been a problem due to the low occupancy). This time I asked about the restaurant and was told that there was no need to book as it was hardly occupied. We decided to try elsewhere to find some life.
- Keith (8/5): A very nice short break stay. - Very nice hotel - ideal location for the visits we wanted to make. Our room was good & the food was very good. Ate in the Treetops bar a couple of evenings & the good/drinks were very good. The staff, both in the hotel & Treetops bar, were friendly & helpful. Nothing - a couple of little niggles with our room which we let reception know about before we left.
- Diederick (8/5): - Was op weg naar Edinburgh vliegveld en dit was prima locatie
- Carolina (7/5): -
- David (10/5): - A lovely hotel in a great location for seeing the attractions in the area. Lovely room and lovely food. This was our second stay here. Nothing
- Malcolm (9/5): Good hotel - Roomy bedroom. Good en-suite. Good breakfast None
- TRACY AND STUART (8/5): Over Night Stay - Good off street parking. Staff were lovely. Evening meals were great. Lots of choice. Clean, comfy beds. Warm. Didn't need anything else for an overnight stay. Very little choice for breakfast breakfast if you don't want a full cooked breakfast. Eggs Benedict was appalling. Came completely covered in hollandaise sauce, filled the plate also. No taste. Left it. Was asked if I wanted anything else but this was after my Husband had finished eating and we were ready to leave. The milk that was left on a table was poured back into the jugs that were in the chiller. Very poor. A real shame as it over shadowed everything else.
- Catriona (8/5): Most enjoyable - Staff were all helpful esp Cameron The food was ok but a little disappointing
- simon (8/5): Honest three star. Clean, comfortable and friendly - Functional and comfortable. Staff were friendly
- Kenny (8/5): - Food at Leapark Hotel was delicious both at breakfast and restaurant.staff were attentive and friendly Room was a bit dated but they are in middle of refurbishment.
- Giandomenico (7/5): Decent hotel - Generous breakfast, kind staff, really large room The room was noisy from some sort of ventilation units just outside our window, not unbearable but definitely noticeable
- Christine (9/5): Despite the noise and the heat in the room, we would highly recommend Leapark hotel. - Rooms were nice and spacious. Rooms were all much much too hot with no obvious ways to adjust it.
A bit noisy as well as close to the road with traffic all night. As the rooms were too hot we had to have the windows open.
- Anna (9/5): -
- simon (5/5): - Breakfast good Getting woke up at 4.30am by fire alarm on our last night
- Catherine (8/5): If they could sort out the heating it would have been excellent. - Staff were excellent and very helpful.
The room and bathroom were huge and very clean, and there were explanations that upgrades to rooms were taking place.
Good cooked breakfast choices The room was too warm, turning down the radiator and opening the window did help, but it made for an uncomfortable night
- Carole (8/5): - Convenient location for the athletics stadium where we're were attending an event.
Very large room with very large bathroom. Large comfy bed. Very clean, good cooked breakfast.
Room was a little warm but soon cooled down when we turned off the radiator
- Stephen (8/5): -
- Michael (4/5): Disappointing - Location was good, bar staff very friendly. The room was very dated, the curtain pelmet needs dusting and the hot water came out lukewarm. Noise from the neighbouring room was very bad, load music playing until the early hours of the morning then started at 7am. Reception staff did try to resolve this issue after initially trying to dismiss my phone call to them.
- Olcay (9/5): - Alles war super.
- Javier (10/5): - We like nearly everything, staff was very helpful,
Location is very calm
Food is very good
Everything was clean
Room no 5 wad huges ( amazing) never see something like that Only 2 things didn't like it.
First: Noice from engine of fridge wad on and off all night ( very close from the room)
Second: couple bed, no very confy and very small for a couple bed
- Lynda (10/5): - Ideal location for function we were attending, friendly staff, lovely food and comfortable room
- ralf (4/5): - Freundliche früchtigpersonal Bad waren kaputte fliesen verschimmelte handseifenflaschen Badewanne auch nicht schön.badezimmertuere schloss nicht oder war nur mit Gewalt zu öffnen.
- Peter (8/5): -
- Diane (6/5): Went for a friends wedding the wedding was well organised and fantastic friendly service - Friendly staff Rooms are ready for a refurb the shower wasn’t very good definitely needed a change
- Ewan (8/5): - Good location, within easy reach of Edinburgh Airport. Locally the Kelpies and the Union canal with the Falkirk wheel. The staff were great, food was good. Bit noisy after a wedding in the hotel but it was okay, the rooms are being upgraded but they are comfortable with everything you would need.

- Iain (2/5): A step back in time to a hotel that hasn't modernised for 40 years - Hotel rooms are so tired and old fashioned.
2 rickety single beds that were about 50 years old.
I used to come to the Leapark when i was a teenager 40 years ago and not much has changed Rooms and decor are completely past it.
Major overall and renovation needed.
- James (8/5): -
- Brotherton (7/5): - Gluten-free choice very limited on set menu at dinner. ⁹
- Lynda (10/5): - Friendly and helpful staff, lovely room and comfortable bed, great location
- walter (7/5): Leapark - It was a good location. Staff were friendly. A bit out dated. Carpets fraying alot on dust on top of wardrope, missing handles and needs a lick of paint.
- donna (10/5): - Staff were fantastic and complimentary hot chocolate with shortbread was such a welcome surprise
- Carole (9/5): It as a convenient over night stay to our on our way to our longer holiday - Convenience Nothing

- Cynthia (10/5): - Very clean nice relaxing atmosphere helpfull staff food was good I hideen jem I found the room to warm personal preference
- Merle (10/5): Very convenient after a special night raising - The breakfast especially continental was excellent. I’m not a cooked breakfast person but the cooked breakfast looked cold sitting out on the hot plate. Everything was good. Especially the staff.
- Wilhelm (9/5): - The weekend was definitely too short.
- MAUREEN (7/5): -
- william (10/5): - Everything
- Laura (9/5): - Very friendly and accommodating staff, excellent sized rooms, all very clean and tidy and very quiet
- Graham (6/5): -
- Hugh (9/5): lovely central hotel, great staff, quality breakfast, comfy bed, decently priced. I would recommend. - Easy check-in. I booked online and no issues on arrival. There was a nice pleasant night porter who gave me my key. The cup of hot chocolate i had in my room with the shortbread was a welcome suprise. There’s an extractor fan in the toilet that comes on when you turn the light on that sounds like my petrol lawnmower. Some of the carpets in the hallways are torn to shreds next to the radiators for some reason.
- Kunaal (4/5): Super friendly staff in a dated hotel - The Staff was very friendly hand helpful, really made you feel welcome and provided us with support where we needed it. Really respected the people working here. The facility and hotel in general really needs an update, the bathroom was new and quite nice but the bedrooms and the rest of the hotel felt very dated. For the price I don't feel like I got our moneys worth.
- Jordan (8/5): - Nice staff, good restaurant, clean room, nice atmosphere Air conditioning was not very effective
- Malcolm (10/5): -
- Murray (6/5): Room clean enough…..in the 1980s but acceptable. - Huge variety and nicely heated. Constant noise from kitchen extractors all night.
- Robert (9/5): -
- Philip (7/5): Can't complain good stay - Value for money...good staff
- Frank Stefan (9/5): -
- paul (10/5): -
- Sean (7/5): -
- Alain (10/5): - bon établissement d'étape. efficace ras
- myardley32 (10/5): Good value at this hotel - Would definitely recommend this hotel room was spotless and staff were very helpful and friendly, food was reasonable and good quality a lot of people booked for a meal only good sign ! Even the regulars were very friendly in the bar area will definitely return
- andypN1847SB (2/5): avoid - Used to be a regular popping in for meals but the recent menu change has lost both my custom and the families. I understand a change of menu can be appealing but not at the expense of other popular items. Also the amount of times when i ordered my meal specifically with no salad and it came with salad!!!!!. Also not everyone likes chips with skin on they offer an alternative, take it or leave it. New owners have not improved a local restaurant..
- Stuart (9/5): - Excellent Nothing
- Brijesh (10/5): -
- David (8/5): -
- Bill 9x (8/5): Family get together - We only stayed for one night but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was spacious and clean, the ensuite was finished to a high standard and clean throughout. Staff were friendly and extremely accomodating as we were in a large group. Good cooked breakfast too. Nothing to grumble about, will stay again
- mark (9/5): One of the best hotels i have stopped at this year. - The food in the restaurant is very good and well priced. The staff are a credit to the hotel. The rooms are very comfortable. Nothing.
- jeremys149 (10/5): Beautiful stay with Noreen and all the fantastic staff. - Having visited from Ireland for a family rememberence service, we had the most perfect stay. Comfortable clean rooms with everything you could need. Kiely on reception checked us in and was so friendly and informative even though we were late arriving. The grounds and public rooms were very comfortable and the beautiful Christmas decorations were a joy. Before we depated we had the most wonderful breakfast prepared by Noreen and served perfectly by a lady who's name escapes me. The Tattie scones were excellent as was the full breakfast. Thankyou to all the staff from housekeeping to chefs, receptionist and waitress, a most wonderful stay and we look forward to visiting again.
Kind regards
Jeremy and Annette.
- Richard (9/5): Very relaxing stay, good value for money. - Very comfortable, great staff and service. Nothing.

- Susan (8/5): Dated but comfortable - Comfortable and reasonable value Slightly dated in parts, but comfortable enough.
- 759sandrac (4/5): Had better stays - We were allocated a room in the House within the car park. The whole building needs a total refurb. Wallpaper coming off walls. Dirty carpets and furniture. Smell of damp. Beds old and very uncomfortable. The 3 rooms within that building we were shown were the same. There was a gas leak within the building which my daughter reported to reception. The building was eventually evacuated but there were no other rooms available as the hotel was full so i had to drive home at 1a.m. Not ideal.
- Willem Hendrik (8/5): -
- Wendy (10/5): Third stay this year and would still return again -
- Ian (10/5): Food and Company - The staff as ever were fabulous. Breakfast was fine, our evening meal was excellent. The curry, ribeye steak and fish and chips were excellent.

* The breakfast had plenty of selection & was very good * Hotel was too hot, had breakfast sat next to the radiator
* Dogs not allowed in the function room
* Members of staff should not engage customers in political converstaions (not me, but members of our party)

Stay there and you'll see why. It's a neat hotel, not a massive box of rooms. I'm a spoiled American, and would have loved an air conditioner!
- Julie (9/5): Pleasant comfortable stay - Very friendly staff , pleasant surroundings N/a
