- FlashBack351 (10/5): Cool place - Right on the water, clean, quiet, and easy check in. Owners sent information via text that covers the process.
Large rooms, refrigerator, and microwave. Even with the bathroom being a good sized room the shower is a bit tight for us larger folks....still manageable just a little tight.
Located right off the main road its easy to find and get in and out of.
Big lanai accessible through the sliding door was a nice surprise.
Very happy with our accommodations
- Sarah (10/5): Great place if you are looking for a relaxing weekend in Old Florida! - This is the perfect place to relax and unwind. You are walking distance to great food and shops. Also, you can fish right out of the back door. The bikes and kayaks are so fun also.

find. It was in a beautiful setting overlooking the water and amongst nature.
Near to little shops that sell local produce and gifts.
Accomodation basic but very clean and had everything. Bed was a bit high as Iâm only small so had to climb on it but it wasnât a problem.
Nice screened seating area outside room where can sit at night Didnât really see the owners which wasnât a problem as if we needed them we knew where office was. They sent us the code to get in the room before we arrived.
Well recommend. Nothing
- Thompson (9/5): - Almost everything You need a clock in the room and you need local channels please
- Steven (10/5): - After traveling on business for many years and staying in all the Marriott's and Hilton's, it's really a pleasure to stay in an old-fashioned "motor inn" where not everything is perfect, but you feel good just about the place because it's so homey. That's what we loved about Angler's Inn, a quaint, small inn directly on the water in Matlacha. We had a nice little kitchen, a great bed, and a screened-in porch. We did spend a lot of time out on the dock waving as the boats drifted by. We walked to a great restaurant and visited some of the stores in the nice town. We'll definitely re-visit Matlacha and stay at Angler's Inn.
- Sharon (10/5): -
- Alessia (8/5): - Casa accogliente con tutti i comfort Nulla
- Andrea (10/5): - It was perfect just as described on the website.
- Dan (10/5): -
- Niles (8/5): - We stayed there for our 42nd anniversary. It was the perfect spot. Even though itâs only a 45 minute drive from our house, we felt like we were a million miles away. Beautiful water. Friendly people. Within walking distance of restaurants and shops. We will definitely return.
- Robert (10/5): -
- Brian (10/5): Amazing time. - We had a wonderful time. Relaxing
- Carol (8/5): Nice stop for short stay. - Nice little spot with the water at the back, adequate kitchen, nice bed. Not much in the area, still recovering after Hurricane damage.
- Cook (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the location ! Property was very cleanâŚgreat spot to relax !
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (8/5): - Quiet, and clean. Couple next door might be owners or management? Very friendly. The only negative comment is the bed was uncomfortable, otherwise its a pleasure.
- Davin (10/5): - Really enjoyed everything about this stay.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Anglers Inn was the perfect hotel for our weekend getaway. I canât say enough nice things about this place. The room was adorable, very clean, comfortable and equipped with all the necessities. The private back patio was so peaceful and perfect for relaxing. The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful checking us in along with our small dog. Highly recommend!
- Sarah (6/5): Pleasant - Love the location. Room needs some attention. The shower leaks. No hot water our last day. Blinds on sliding door are difficult to operate.
- Krista (10/5): relaxing & enjoyable!! - location- within walking distance of restaurants, kayaks & bikes were available as well. just a quick note on how the water heats up - I figured it out but up front letting customers know how to work it
- Robert (10/5): - Janette and Michael were awesome!! The room was so adorable and very clean. The water was literally 25 feet from back screen enclosed porch. Very nice and cozy! Loved it! Easiest check in and easy to unload straight to the door.
- Debra (10/5): Great location on island, very clean and comfortable - Great location, walkable to shops and restaurants. Park close by Nothing
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay - Great location overlooking the mangrove canal and walking distance to local restaurants for both dinner and breakfast. Room had everything we needed and we really enjoyed sitting outside watching the pelicans!
- Alliance (10/5): Perfect break in glorious surrounding with wonderful hosts - The perfect place to get away from it all and find out what life is all about. Beautiful location and people.
Spend some time here. Lose yourself for a while and reconnect with who you are.

- Paul (10/5): Fantastic... - Nothing to dislike. Jeanette and Michael were excellent hosts. Loved fishing off their dock for catfish. Rooms comfy and screened area was fantastic.
- Victoria (10/5): - I loved this property! It was so clean and relaxing!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Peace, quiet and the salt life - I needed to unplug and hang out with my large breed dog and I did just that. I highly recommend to anyone who likes peace and quiet with the interest of fishing Short walking distance to the restaurants and nice dog friendly park where I got to dip my feet in the water. Itâs a Very simple room with all the amenities but if I was at the room, I was mostly hanging outside in the screen in patio watching the pelicans, watching me, watching them (lol) Very nice owner on site.
- Robert (9/5): Anglerâs Inn is an older motel, clean comfortable. - Great small, old style four room motel, clean comfortable, recently painted, new floors. If come to Anglers Inn with expectations of it being a Comfort Inn with modern showers, new building, you will be disappointed. Angler Inn is an older motel, well kept, clean, comfortable, with great restaurants 5 minute walk, have your own outdoor screened in porch on waterway, dock wall for boat.
- Sturla (10/5): Loved the area and loved the Angler's Inn. - Everything. The location, the area, the rooms (newly renovated). This is a perfect place to go fishing or for a silent getaway, We loved this place. Tip: Get your breakfast at The Perfect Cup and a t-shirt from O'Keefe's shop next to the perfect cup, both a short walking distance away from Angler's Inn. We hope to come back and stay longer.
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional - It was really relaxing and adorable. Everything was great, I will be returning
- Helen (10/5): - Fantastic stay at the Anglerâs Inn. The accommodation is immaculately clean, the bed is incredibly comfortable and the rooms go straight out onto a dock with ample seating. There are also bikes that guests can use. We didnât as the weather was horrendous with torrential rain, but that didnât spoil our stay. Jeanette and Michael were so friendly and helpful making recommendations of places to eat, things to see and do. They were also very accommodating with arranging an early check in for us as we had an activity planned on the island before normal check in and wanted to be able to change clothes. Thanks once again Jeanette and Michael for an incredible stay.
- Mary (8/5): Best part of Florida - Wonderful location and room! I know they are still recovering from bad storms, so the only thing lacking was a place to hang clothes. But they said they are working on closets.
- Barbara (10/5): Love Anglers Inn - Great place if you want to kick back and fish.
- Juliet (10/5): - This place is a gem! Quirky and quaint with friendly hosts. We were just passing through for one night, but I wish it could have been more. The bed was comfy, the decorations beachy/artsy, and I really loved the screen porch and the canal. We took a kayak out in the bay and walked to a nearby restaurant. The area has been hit hard by hurricanes, but the community is working hard to keep its identity. I felt happy to be a tiny part of that.
- Dawn (10/5): - We really enjoyed the vibe in Matlacha and this was the perfect place for us to stay. The

Definitely will go back and help the economy continue to improve the area to recover from the hurricane. Love Matlacha and Anglerâs Inn.
- Garett (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Unfortunately the motel didn't meet our expectations. The area didn't feel safe with some buildings being abandoned or not repaired. We end up leaving to find another hotel.
When the owner was contacted she was very rude and refused to listen to any concerns.
- Jscholl24 (10/5): Hidden Gem! - This is a great little hideaway gem! My wife and I come here to escape the city and just slow down. It is very convenient that we can keep the boat right behind the room so we can get up, enjoy coffee on the dock, and take the boat out to Sanibel or just put it around the area.
- Miloslav (8/5): Good for one night stay. -

- Denisa (10/5): Exceptional - The wildlife, the screen in patio area. The decor was bright and beautiful.
- Bei (8/5): A nice clean room for our one night stay. - The room is bright and clean. There is a kitchenette to cook meals. However we only used the coffee maker in the morning. Allowing dogs is a plus. You can hear people talking right outside the room clearly.
- Marek (10/5): Beautifull stay next to the water - Beautifully located next to the water. Large and clean room. Very easy virtual check in process
- Johnson (6/5): Not all it's cracked up to be! - Location Room had ants all over the kitchen.Which means you could not put any food or drink unattended. I let the manager know and she came to the room, wiped up all the ants, and never came back to get rid of them. No closet or dresser to put your clothes in. The room floor is uneven and so is the shower so, you lose your footing...I felt like I was on a cruise ship at times.
- Spataro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (9/5): Superb - Cute little place. Loved to sit and watch the wildlife. The back porch was our favorite part.
The kitchen area was well stocked. The cottage could use a closet or a few hooks for hanging clothes.
- Kathleen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ursula S von (10/5): - Cute room!
Well stocked with kitchen supplies.
Clean, comfortable bed, owner on site.
Awesome location.
I would definitely stay here again,
- Lynn (10/5): Happy campers - Very quaint tropical motel. It's all brand new since the hurricane. The owners live next door. The rooms sit on a canal. Little shops and Blu Dog restaurant are walking distance away. A nice place to stay.
- Marie-sophie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): - This was our first time to this area. We only had one night but wished for more. The Anglers Inn was the perfect choice. They have kayaks and bikes to use, a very clean and comfortable place to stay and fishing right out back.
- Robert (8/5): Nice family run, four room "oldstyle" motel, clean, comfortable bed, walk to restaurants. - This is a small 4 room motel, guessing built in 50's, room is a quant "oldstyle" room, this is not a chain hotel, so do not expect this. Room was clean, bed comfortable, decorated nicely, excellent family restaurant for dinner 3 minute walk, breakfast/lunch restaurant 4 minute walk, both excellent.
- Alexandra (10/5): A haven in the heart of the Floridian mangrove - The location in beautiful Matlacha
The kindness and smile of the owner even though she is still recovering from hurricane Ian
