Breakfast in the restaurant was excellent. There were ants in the kettle and no kitchen sink. Cups and plates had to be cleaned over the vanity in the bathroom.

Quiet location. Coming into colder weather, the bed should have been made up with a blanket not only a sheet set. Blanket was located in the wardrobe. Turned cups upright to make a cup of tea, only to find the cups had been used and not cleaned. Not a major issue , just a note for staff to check even if cups are not upright.

We ended up upgrading the the king room as the queen wasn't very nice - The king room was super spacious and significantly better. Only thing I would flag is the beds aren't very comfortable, they only provide a sheet not a doona which isn't comfortable to sleep with for me, and there was a bit of a smell in the king room. We upgraded from the queen room as it wasn't nice at all.

Comments on booking and communications were never responded to nor acted upon. The reception staff though friendly were ignorant of onsite car charging facilities and any surrounding activities. The room though appearing new had various broken items which hadn't been repaired. Our impression was that the property fitted an online accommodation formula but was not followed through with customer communication, staff education, and onsite service.

The motel has an excellent restaurant and bar, as well as nice pool facilities. The hotel reception felt understaffed, but the staff themselves were very friendly and helpful.

- Kathryn (5/5): Generally excellent but not this time - The property is in a great location. We have stayed here before in the main motel. However this time we’re surprised to be in a house next door that has been changed into small motel rooms. When we arrived the room smelt like disinfectant so we left the fan on and sat outside for a while. When re entering the room it was to find that one side of the bed and the bathroom smelt like vomit. We put the aircon on hoping it would clear it for the night while we slept. Very disappointing that they would let this room with this horrible smell.

- Cameron (9/5): I will definitely be back if I'm working in the area again. - Staff were friendly and helpful, longer reception desk hours were helpful due to my unpredictable working schedule. Food was tasty, beer was cold, room was tidy, bed was comfortable. Hot shower and cold A/C. The meals at the restaurant were on the pricey side. The portions were large and the food was fresh and full of flavour - but it wasn't budget friendly if that's what you were looking for or needed for work meal allowance. That is about all the "bad" I can say about it.

- Lauren (7/5): Great location, facilities were nice with a nice pool but I would skip the restaurant. - The location was great. The pool was nice. The room itself was fine. Only downside to room was the shower as it was very small and needed to be updated. The restaurant attached to the motel was shocking. We waited 45 mins to even receive water and it was a 37 degree day and we had our 2 small children with us. Even after receiving our drinks we then waited another 45 mins to get our food. The young waitress (Ruby) was lovely and very apologetic but the rest of the staff were rude and unhelpful. My husband even approached the bar to try and get our drinks instead of waiting for table service and was told to basically go and wait. It wasn’t overly busy so no excuse. Food was okay but overpriced. Would definitely not go back.

- Dianne (1/5): Totally unacceptable in this day and age. - Disappointed. Disappointed with Room One, which showed on Evacuation Plan as a Store Room. Very small, unsafe with micro wave on the top of bar fridge, then kettle on top of micro wave , as well as toaster. TV instructions as listed, turn power on and off at power point located on wall 2.3m high from floor. To reach one had to stand on steel chair which had no rubbers on legs, on a tiled floor. Bathroom facilities, how someone could expect you to hang towels or clothes on the hooks provided on shower screen at 2m + high. Being both in our 80's we found this an absolute safety hazard.

- Liam (8/5): Excellent place to stay with kids. - The restaurant was excellent and convenient after a long day of travelling with 2 kids. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. They also let us have a late checkout when we asked at late notice. The room was was clean and kept in good shape making us feel comfortable. The beds were comfortable and made for a good night's sleep. Would have been nice if there was firm (harder) pillows to pick from in the cupboard.
