Guest Reviews
- Murray (7/5): I’d book this again no problem - Good value for money, comfortable, tv reception & WiFi worked well. The owner was helpful & friendly easy access for me on the ground floor Sound from other guests above could be a problem as it was easy to hear them - they have tried very hard to upgrade its functionality but not perfect if you’re expecting perfect spend more & go somewhere else 👍🏼

- karendJ1577IR (2/5): Absolutely Horrible - I stayed here 1/6/2026-1/7/2026. I have pictures of this nightmare room! Behind the bed there was a hole in the wall which had a dim light seen on the other side. A glass lamp had been broken and glued back together with sharp edges all around and broken glass on the floor. The floor pieces did not line up so the floor was very uneven and tripped multiple times throughout the room. The bathtub water faucet was out from the tub wall by 3-5 inches of visible pipe. All of the walls and floor of the tub had the finish material scraped off in multiple places with the fiberglass or backerboard showing. The bathroom floor had standing water. Two electric sockets were badly broken with the wires exposed and a fixture plugged into them. I would have left immediately if I had realized all of this that night. However we had been driving all day, it was dark and late. I had a business meeting very early the next morning. I just could not deal with another difficulty at that time. I have told and will continue to tell every person I come in contact with to NEVER stay at an Econo Lodge because the standard they are held to are so low they are in the gutter!
- Zach (8/5): - Could use a better plow company
- Erik (6/5): - Hair wad on the floor in bathroom.
- Lawrence (8/5): It was what we expected for the cost - Did not get breakfast at hotel
- Satya (7/5): -

- David (8/5): Great place. Would highly recommend. - Pleasant stay
- BONNIE (1/5): Never stay at this property - First room was filthy-dirty sherts dirty towels on floor full waste can dirty floor
- Kathleen (10/5): -
- Rebekah (1/5): Horrible! Grossly overpaid for a horrendous hotel. - Nothing! Room was filthy! Immediately requested new room due to dark brown sticky substance all over the linoleum floors. Then they didn’t believe me and raced to the room saying there was nothing there then tried to blow it off when the substance was found over the entire floor. I would not have paid someone to stay there. Grossly overpaid for the room and if they did not force me to pay on arrival, I would have absolutely left. Did not sleep all night due to safety concerns. I had my son with me, there was no sense of security in the room. Slept with garbage can in front of the door and my purse knife at bedside. I’ve slept in men’s shelters as a volunteer and felt safer there. Recommend booking.com no longer office this location on their site. Everything about staff, location, cleanliness. It was a horrible experience and limited my time at the location.
Hated everything, would never recommend to ANYONE!
- William (10/5): - Clean and efficient Everything was as expected
- Nicole (10/5): - Great location for CanLake ultras event!
- Maggie (7/5): - I love the location of the facility. The rooms looked as if they were freshly renovated, and the staff was very pleasant and easy to talk to. The price BUT I understand why it was what it was not only was it walking distance from the venue, but it was a Saturday so those things will always make it more expensive.
- Carrasco flores (10/5): Excelente lugar para alojarse - Es un buen lugar tranquilo para poder descansar
El trato es muy bueno muy amable
El lugar muy limpio Me sentí muy cómoda así q no cambiaría nada

- Valerie (5/5): Means to an end - The location was great I was there for training and theoretically it served it's purpose locations wise and price point. I was assigned a ground-level room outside located very close to a busy road. Unfortunately, the constant traffic noise made it extremely difficult to rest, as I could hear every vehicle passing by throughout the night.
Additionally, as a woman traveling alone, I felt quite unsafe being on the ground floor with direct access from outside. The combination of noise and concern for security made it hard to get any meaningful rest.
- Zach (7/5): -
- Weigand (8/5): Clean & comfortable - Service was great Near a busy, loud street
- Young (9/5): - Convenience , location and simple!!! Wish it could be 25 to 35 cheaper.
- Kathleen (8/5): -
- Kirk (7/5): Have stayed here before and will do so again without hesitation... - Small. family run operation with limited resources. Have stayed here before and will again. Pleasant environment close to what I needed and not too expensive. Very accommodating... Everything was as expected... Decent room accommodations, decent "breakfast" foods, pleasant and friendly staff/family members, very comfortable for my purposes...
- Stephen (8/5): Terrific value and a nice room to boot! - Almost everything was very good. Nice room, comfortable bed, outside entrance so I could park right outside my room, pleasant staff. All good except... Two things -- one, there at least three nasty-looking spiders in the room, which I ended up killing, and two, my key card failed to work when I returned from dinner. This is not an uncommon experience, as I've had that happen at other hotels. But it was pouring rain when I had to make repeated trips through the rain to the front desk before the manager gave me a metal key, which did work. Other than those two things, the stay was great.
- Watkins-hall (6/5): -
- Wesley (10/5): Great stay! - The hotel was clean and affordable. The room was comfortable, neat and had everything I needed for my stay. Had no issues whatsoever. Close to restaurants, attractions and shopping. If you stay there, you have to go about a mile up the road to Hill Top restaurant and try the everything omelette and the roast beef dinner. Amazing!
- MICHAEL (8/5): - It was fine. I was a solo traveler, but nice and comfortable
- Lenore (10/5): - Breakfast was great! Beautiful area!!
- Michelle (4/5): - Price of course was great but You get what you pay for, low price was great and actually clean BUT we killed several bugs that were swarming around the front door and a few wolf spiders lurking in our room.
- Stephen (6/5): - Clean room, good price, phone was not connected and wifi password did not work.
- Natasha (9/5): We liked the location, cleanliness and servise - The rooms where located on the first floor of the back of the building, away from the traffic noise. The window screen was broken, we couldn't open the window.
- jason (10/5): - Great staff
- Janet (6/5): - The staff were friendly and accommodating. The sink, toilet and shower were clean and bed comfortable. Room was in need of deep cleaning very dusty.
- 245cheriv (8/5): Go every year - Very clean, comfortable king size bed, free breakfast of waffles, donuts, apples , bananas, cereal, coffee and juice. I would go back again
- Lisa (10/5): - No hassle check in. Quiet and clean. Very nice room. Comfortable bed.
- Brandy (8/5): -
- Matthew (7/5): Short stay in Canandaigua - The location was great, the room was just right.
- Ward (10/5): - It was a truly memorable stay, thanks to the exceptional service I enjoyed breakfast at the hotel the food was delicious. The room was spotless, with new linens ....I was impressed will stay again
- Emily (8/5): - Bed was extremely comfortable. Best sleep I have had in a while. The shower water pressure was nice and the water was nice and hot. It was perfect for a hot bath. The floors were shiny and clean. My only complaint about the whole experience was that there were lots of fruitflies living in the flood drain in the sink. I tried killing them by spraying chemicals in the hole, helped for a few hours before more came back. They'd stay at bay until I went to eat dinner, and I got surrounded by a few of them every time I ate. I went to brush my teeth, and quite a few of them flew out of the hole. I blew into it and more started to crawl and fly out...
Other than that, overall, it was a nice place to stay for a few days while I found an actual place to temporarily live.
- Haworth (5/5): -
- Blake (8/5): Surprisingly comfortable - Although the hotel could use some freshening up, we were a little surprised at how comfortable it was and quiet
- Peter (8/5): - I had absolutely no complaints about my stay, it was comfortable, clean, quiet, and peaceful.
- Steven (8/5): - Nice family that runs the hotel. Location is just a few hundred yards of what I would consider the main Canandaigua strip but still convenient to the main shopping area and the lakefront within 5 mins drive.
- Nola (8/5): -
- Allison (8/5): - It was clean and comfortable. It was also inexpensive.
- Jessica (10/5): - I was pleasantly surprised by this place; the motel was nicely updated, and the room had everything you could need: microwave, a good-sized mini-fridge, an ironing board, etc. Also, the beds were super comfortable; nice linens, pillows, and down comforter. I will definitely stay here again when I attend another show at CMAC.
- Bradley (10/5): - Friendly
- Christian (10/5): - Amazingly comfortable beds!
- Alfred (4/5): Disappointing, I don't think I could ever stay at an Econolodge again - The breakfast was low quality, I didn't feel comfortable eating what they had. The hotel definitely needs a facelift. It had an odd smell about it. Half the rooms in the front of the hotel had direct access from the outside. The rooms on the upper level had a back door entrance that anybody could walk in to because they entrance key fob did not work.
- Judie DV (10/5): -
- Lee (10/5): - Man it was nice to not be surprised by anything. Clean, well cared for. The people ruining this place know how to do it, and do it well. Because of my experience with this hotel, i am currently at another one 2 days later located in Woodstock Va.
- A (6/5): Not great - An indifferent check-in clerk and semi-clean room made it easy to decide never to come here again.
- Jay (8/5): - Clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok.
Really good value.
- Eileen (6/5): Worked for a quick trip thru the finger lakes region - The location
- Pedersen (10/5): Everything we needed - Nice clean room, pleasant staff!
- Alexandra (4/5): Not worth the $300. - It was super close to the concert venue and to restaurants. The room was not clean. The bathtub was peeling. There was a weird stain on the floor and the sheets on the one bed had some weird stain. There was also a c*ndom wrapper on the floor.
- Michael (2/5): - No power. Main circuit breaker kept tripping and the owner had me unplugging lamps and the TV and the microwave, refrigerator to keep the circuit breaker from tripping. Nothing worked and we slept in total darkness with no TV, fridge, microwave, etc…No refund or partial refund given
- Jamie (6/5): - The card key did not work requiring a key from the office. Tub was tall for an accessible room. Freezer defrosted overnight leaking water everywhere
- Debby (4/5): - There was no stopper in the tub. The vinyl floor was torn.
- Stephen (9/5): Awesome stay. - Staff was friendly and room was in great shape. Someone left a beer in our freezer.
- Raymond (6/5): Last option - Very plain and outdated hotel. High price for the overall condition of the hotel .
- Datuowei (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eric (4/5): - Good location, close to CMAC, but no sidewalks to/from venue. Clean beds and towels. Overall poor condition of room.
- Liz (6/5): - Bathroom was dirty, ran out of toilet paper, room was slightly dirty, red stuff all over the garbage container….large blob of ketchup maybe? Definitely no bells or whistles but not the worst place I’ve ever stayed. Was give 2 key cards and neither worked when we got to the room. Had to run back down and was given an actual key instead.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was only ok for the price I paid.
- Shannon (5/5): Passable -
- Nicole (8/5): Comfy bed, quiet and great location! - The bed was so comfortable!! We attended a concert at Lincoln Farms and it was less than 2 miles away, so location was great! Outside and hallways were a little dingy but the cleanliness of the actual room made up for it. Our bathroom sink was a slow drainer too.
- Dominic J (10/5): - Nice room. I'll go back again. Only complaint was bath tub could have been cleaner around the drain.
- Erin (2/5): - The bathroom was uncleaned with old bars of soap and hair. The keys “not working” and use of back up key freaked us out because it was not secure and we didn’t sleep due to it. The view hole in door is open to see from both sides.
- Manuel (8/5): Very good - Location Hallways smell like insecticide
- Thomas (8/5): - Easy parking if on lower floor.
Good size room. Nice King mattress.
Seemed to be in mid painting ?
Cold fridge. No bulb in bedside lamp. Didn't stay for breakfast. $?
- Lawrence (7/5): Good -
- Karen (10/5): - This was a very good value for the price.
- Marion (8/5): - The management was friendly. I was disappointed in the wear and tear in the room, but it was clean. You could hear the traffic from the road.
- Michele (8/5): Very good - They are very nice here. The room was nice. Lots of space. Freshly painted. Beds weren't serviced but fresh towels were provided.
- Angela (6/5): - We stayed here for a concert because it was in walking distance. It was extremely marked up due to the concert. I have never paid this much for one night in a hotel ever, not in NYC, Boston, Toronto, Cancun… however it did what we needed to do. It was a clean and air conditioned place to crash. The staff was friendly.
- Frank (10/5): - Clean, fast check in, and and nice.
- Dawn (2/5): Hazardous - Didn’t stay for breakfast No treads in bathtub and no Bathmats.
I am 75 years old I fell and bruised my knee and elbow getting out of the bathtub/ shower
- Shulla (9/5): Superb -
- Cyrus (10/5): - It was a nice relaxing stay and the owners we're really nice when i had to leave early. I hope to stay there again someday
- Lisa (4/5): - The room was dirty, there was dried pee on the floor. there was NO SMOKE ALARM . The bathroom fixtures were not installed properly, there was a huge gap under the door leading to the out doors, there was broken screen on the room window. It smelled bad and there was people smoking right out side our room as there was an ash tray there. the freezer in the fridge was completely frozen with ice buld up. This was horrible stay
- Lynn (5/5): Passable -
- Noelle (6/5): -
- Shelley (8/5): - Hotel was a little dated but office clerk was nice and room was very clean.
- Jennifer (2/5): - On check in, I was told the door handle sticks a little and my room was being cleaned. Took someone else staying there to help me open a door to an ADA room. The room was STILL dirty. Hair in the shower, mirror wasn’t even clean, and unknown substances on the floor, ADA shower chair, and cabinets. It was LOUD at ALL hours! The microwave tray didn’t turn causing my food to burn and the freezer didn’t work. Absolutely disgusting and would not recommend it to anyone! This place is basically a no tell motel!
- Carl (4/5): Disappointing - Staff was friendly and the location was in a good place Room had very stiff uncomfortable beds, the walls were thin and my room smelled like weed the entire time I was in it. Bathroom had water damage and was unfinished on the paint job. Fluorescent lighting was bright and not inviting.
