- TOMOTAKA (6/5): - 夕食の配膳などはとても良い対応で全般に味も良かった。 残念ながら明らかに朝食の質が落ちた。以前はだし巻きなどが美味しかったがそれも無くなり、全般に質が落ちてとても残念で、あれではビジネスホテル並です。 チェックアウト後、以前なら車を係の方が建物の前まで移動してくれたがそれもやめたようだ。鍵を返されてご自分でどうぞになったようだがチェックインの時は係の方が車を移動してくれるのでどこに置かれたのかわからず雨の中、車を探した。来る時はウエルカムで帰りはご自由にお帰りくださいはいかがなものかと思う。泉質も良く、お部屋もゆったりして夕食も良いだけに残念です。

- flowerpotbee (6/5): Few hot spring water, not crowded, and polite staffs - Few-minute walk from the bus station is a plus point when one has luggages. Cleanliness was reasonable and staffs at lobby area were helpful. Breakfast was buffet style with few variety. Dinner which was served in the room was great. The staffs who came to the room to serve dinner were very polite and I felt very comfortable. Thank you very much for the good service. The onsen experience was great… they have few hot spring water with the temperature and benefits stated beside the bath and their website. It was not crowded with tourists and the onsen area with the sauna was clean and well maintained.

- TOMOTAKA (8/5): - 何度も訪れているお気に入りの宿でした。夕食は美味しく施設も落ち着いてのんびりしたい方にはとてもおすすめです。が、朝食の質が非常に残念だが格段に落ちていた。北海道の卵不足からなのか朝食で出していたその場で焼き上げる卵焼きが無くなっていた。虎杖浜産のタラコもなくなった。ホテルの方はわかっているはずです。カレーなども出していたがホテルの名前を付けてはいるが具材のないレトルトを出しているようにしか思えない。以前は品数はそれほど多くはないが質の良いものを提供していた。人手不足なのかコストカットなのかわからないが改悪と言わざるを得ない。元の朝食を知っている方がきたら確実にガッカリすると思う。物価高の影響なども理解出来るが改善されないようなら私はもう行かなくなるかもしれないです。
- nijunihk (8/5): Recommended if you get a reasonable price - Medium sized hotel with onsen. We arrived early & asked to store our luggage while we walked around town. Front desk staff initially was not friendly but warmed up considerably when they found our reservation. We had booked Japanese/Western room with breakfast & standard dinner included. Room was truly enormous (could easily fit a family of 4). Clean though there was an odd ladybug under the water cup in the drawer. A notice in the room explained this is a wilderness area & there may be a few insects about. Standard dinner was good (though not exceptional), very filling and served in room on tray. You choose your dinner time at check-in. Buffet breakfast had plenty of (mainly Japanese) options (including ice cream!). The large onsen had about 5 different pools indoors at varying temps including 1 with jacuzzi jets and 1 very small bath outside - this wasn't a scenic onsen. The onsen was consistently populated (though not overly crowded). The hotel allows onsen day-only visitors depending on anticipated use. Location is directly across street from bus stop (local bus from Noboribetsu JR and inter-city bus to Sapporo) - very convenient.

- Bunzo (8/5): 愛 - 建物が古いのか、上階の足音、騒音がよく聞こえる。一番良かったのは室内での夕食。これは堪能できた。朝食はまあまあ。概して年輩のスタッフは対応よろしいが、若い人たちの対応は今一つという感じ。自分の仕事に対する愛を感じない。

- THTan2012 (10/5): I will come back to this hotel - A comfortable place to stay in Noboribetsu onsen. 1. Location is just across the bus station. 2. It is a medium sized facility which means unlikely to be where big tourist groups choose to stay at. 3. The room is clean, comfortable and well maintained. 4. Dinner is served in the room.
- Rawsilver (8/5): Traditional hotel with great onsen - Checked in for a night's stay. Tatami room was spacious and very clean. Bathroom was of a good size too. The onsen is one of the best, with pools of varying temperature. Love the public bath area as it seems very new. Breakfast served in the restaurant was not fantastic but the spread is considered adequate. As the hotel is near 'Hellvalley', expect sulpheric smell to linger in the air. All in, we had a wonderful stay.
- Jbond077 (10/5): It’s an upper class traditional Japanese Inn - Beautifully appointed traditional Japanese Inn with classical tatami style rooms and generous selection of Onsens. Though the hotel rate is pretty high, they serve a beautifully crafted dinner in your room with generous portions! The hotel is walking distance to the Valley of Hell and Bear Park! The staff does not speak much English so be warned!

- JasnowA (6/5): Excellent refurbished premium room but inadequate air condition - We chose the premium room for our family of 4 with 4 normal beds in a 59 sq meters room . Very spacious room with dining table , separate toilet and bath .Everything was perfect even the kaiseki dinner we chose was pretty good. Unfortunately , we figured out later that the air condition in our room is inadequate because there was only a small vent emitting limited cold air from one corner of the room and it couldn’t cool off the whole room after 6 hours ever since we checked in( the remote control with temperature indication was a joke under this circumstances) although the day we checked in was around 25 degrees , it was still too warm without enough cool air to ventilate the room . We decided to request for an electric fan and the reception didn’t understood much English but still , we tried our best to communicate and they brought us an electric fan , asking their staff to check if our air condition is working or not but nothing more they can do. The whole family didn’t sleep well that night , thank God we only stayed there for one night but have been sweating the whole night and I regret I didn’t request for 2 more electric fans . Please don’t choose to stay in this kind of room during hot summer days . Maybe it’s only my room that had the air condition issues, just my 2 cents

- E5094JBsusanb (4/5): Not safe for women!! - My daughter and I stayed here for two nights in December. The location is great and we enjoyed the onsen greatly. The problem was that when we were taking an early morning bath (it was deserted), a man walked into the woman's bath. I am not sure if he was a pervert or just confused (although the woman's bath is clearly marked in Japanese/Chinese and English). He was naked and of course so were we. What was infuriating was the attitude of the staff. When I complained to the woman at the front desk, she said "tama ni sonna koto arimasu" (sometimes that happens). No apology at all!! I don't know what would have happened if my teenage daughter had been there alone.
- donga100 (8/5): Easy location and good quality hotel - The hotel is just in front of the bus station so it is easy to get to/from. We stayed in the traditional Japanese tatami room which was clean and spacious and comfortably slept 4. Onsen was great with 5-6 different baths to choose from with various temperatures/minerals. There was also an outdoor bath and an ice bath. The dinner served in the room was great and breakfast buffet was ok with a mix of Japanese and Western dishes. We each received a free ticket to the Sapporo TV tower for booking through Japanican. Truth be told, I still think this type of accommodation is overpriced but Hotel Yumoto was one of the better value options and still cake with the true ryokan/onsen experience.
- Elisaleong (4/5): service - Encountered a particularly grouchy staff at the reception. No smile, no greeting, nothing. We asked if we could have a late check out and he responded with a loud NO! , and made a no gesture with his arms, which felt rude. The room is very clean and relatively spacious. That's the only saving grace of this place.
- melbournegirl2017 (10/5): Great experience - 1. Location is suberb just across the road from the bus terminus. Don't be put off by the dull frontage and reception foyer. 2. Stayed in a good size traditional room that seems to be newly renovated, Clean,new and spacious toilet and bathroom. 3. Thoroughly enjoyed the in room traditional dinner - good quality dishes. 4. Buffet breakfast was good qualiity with emphasis on traditional Japanese dishes. 5. Onsen was good, with signage on temperature and health benefits of each bath.I would have preferred if the outdoor bath is bigger though. 6. Highly recommended.
- fra_chem (8/5): Interesting stay - I arrived in Noboribetsu with two friends while travelling around japan. At the tourist information office they tell us the only availabke hotel is this one so we book a room. at first I got a hearth attack hearing the price, but then I have to say the experience was nice. It is a luxury hotel for japanese standard. We got a big and really clean room. Room service is great, they were really professional. Dinner is served in your room. It was quite strange for european standards, I havent yet understood what were the stuff I ve eaten, but it was good. Breakfast buffet was extremely rich. I also liked the onsen inside.
- Superjet_BKK (8/5): Great onsen and breakfast! - Clean and large room for 2 Persons with 2 set of bathrooms (albeit rather small). We had dinner in the room as part of the package. Good experience although the food is so so. Breakfast is much better. We also tried onsen, the on-site public bath. A must-do for all visitors! Large and clean facilities. Strongly recommended! The Hotel is located just 30 metres from the Noboribetsu Onsen bus station which makes it very convenient to walk there with your luggages.
- kento2014 (6/5): Good in-room dining; traditional tatami room - The outside of the hotel did not look very attractive; old concrete block building. However, it was literally opposite the Noboribetsu onsen bus terminal location-wise so was very convenient. All the rooms here are traditional Japanese tatami-style. It is one of my favourite style of room when travelling in Japan so it really appealed to me. The toilet was very small but that did not bother me a lot as I usually use the onsen when I travel in Japan. The onsen was fairly large with different types of pools with varying temperatures and mineral contents. I also liked the fact that they display a board by each pool explaining the medicinal properties. There is a small-ish outdoor onsen pool. One of the highlights of my stay here was the in-room dinner service. At your chosen time, trays of dinner will be served in the room. This kaiseki-style dinner utilised the freshest locally sourced ingredients and was indeed delicious.There was about 12 courses of food. I particularly loved the beef and the seafood. Breakfast the next morning was served buffet-style in the common dining room on the 2nd floor. Again, the food selection was good with a good mixture of traditional Japanese and Western spread.
- GME-SE10 (8/5): Traditional hotel, good in-room dining - Check in time is 3pm but they allowed us to check in on arrival, about an hour early. Room was a traditional Japanese style with tatami mats and futon bedding. Room was well heated (very cold outside) but Windows could still be opened if you wanted a bit of temporary ventilation. Japanese style evening meal was served in the room. This had many different dishes and certainly filled us up. Good quality fresh food. Spa facilities were nice and spacious and never seemed to get very busy, which was nice.
- MagQi (8/5): One of the best onsen! - We had a huge tatami-style room, but it looks a bit dated and worn-out. The onsen is the best we experienced during our Hokkaido trip with temperatures up to 42 degrees. There is a whole stretch of shopping street just outside the hotel, great for a walk before onsen..
- Vicky_Vipaporn (10/5): Worth the money for On-sen hotel!! - Frankly, I thought the hotel was quite expensive. However, I change my mind afterward. The tatami room is big; the dinner set is awesome; the on-sen is superb (big, great quality of water). Would love to stay more than one night i booked for. Beyond that, it's located right opposite of the bus station, very convenient.
- Snoopy6364 (8/5): Japanese Onsen Hotel - Stayed here for one night as part of tour package. We had a tatami style room which looks a bit dated and worn. Yukata (Japanese clothing for wearing to onsen) consisting of unisex shirt and trousers are provided in the room. You can wear this to the onsen. Visited the onsen and there are several pools ranging from 38 to 41 degrees with both hot spring water and sulphuric water. Buffet breakfast spread is good. Opposite the hotel is a souvenir shop and also a bus station.
