• Cornelia (10/5): - Es war ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt in diesem wunderbarem Haus. Eingang und Innenhof sind wunderbar mit Grünpflanzen gestaltet. Eine Augenweide. So wie auch der Blick vom Balkon bis hin zum Meer. Zum Frühstück kann man dort verweilen und den Moment der Weite genießen. Liebevoll wird der Frühstücktisch gedeckt. Gerace selbst versprüht sehr viel Charme, wenn man sich mit langsamen Schritten Pflasterstein um Pflasterstein im Ort vorwärts bewegt. Sagenhafte Ausblicke und charmante Gässchen verzaubern durch ihre wunderbare Sprache. Es gleicht einem Ankommen bei sich selbst. Herzlichen Dank für die wunderbare Gastfreundschaft.

• Tanja (9/5): - The accommodation is in an authentic house where you feel as if you’ve stepped back in time. You reach the room through the kitchen and dining room. The room is furnished with antique furniture, which makes for a truly special experience. The room offers a wonderful view of the sea. The room has its own bathroom, accessible from the hallway. The host is extremely friendly. He prepared a delicious breakfast, which he served on the balcony with a stunning view. At that time, it wasn’t difficult to find parking nearby, but during the high season, this could be a problem.

Das Frühstück auf dem Balkon mit Blick über das Land bis zum Meer ist sensationell. Wir hatten das Gefühl wie bei Freunden zu sein. Danke an Gianni!!!!!

• Carmen (9/5): Cada antigua con una terraza impresionante. - Tiene una terraza impresionante, podrías pasarte horas allí mirando el mar, muy silenciosa. La casa es antigua y conserva todo su mobiliario que tiene su encanto Las camas cómodas. Tiene tres habitaciones. Hay una que da a la terraza que es una maravilla. Las dos que ocupamos nosotros dan a la calle de bajada del pueblo, apenas tiene trafico por la noche pudimos dormir muy bien. Tiene una cocina y un comedor con mesa grande y algún sillón que da a la terraza. El desayuno está bastante bien. Puedes aparcar justo en la entrada al pueblo, nosotros en abril no tuvimos problema, y el apartamento está muy cerca. Esta un poco descuidada. Si en la parte que da a la calle pusieran ventanas que aislasen del ruido sería una casa de 10.

• Vukova (10/5): Authentic cosy and lovely house in Gerace - Super friendly staff, wonderful old house - it feels like you are back in times... with super view from the terrace. Located in the heart of the old town. Definitely recommended to anyone who wants to experience Gerace.

• PAO08348 (8/5): - La vista sobre la costa y el mar es espectacular. El propietario es muy amable. La cama era corta y tenía cabecero y piecero, lo que para mí, con 184 cm de altura, era un poco insuficiente. Además, el colchón era muy blando y se hundía.

Breakfast was delicious and included delicious home made fruit tarts and about 5 different homemade jams too. Sun-rise from our balcony was spectacular. The location was excellent. We loved our stay at Casa Ferrari and in Gerace. Kim Nothing.

• Markus (9/5): Superb - Perfect location with a stunning view on the coast. Giovanni was a great host with great suggestions for visits in the surrounding. Would definitely come back here. If you are taller than 1.90m, then the bed is actually too short. A better bed would make this location a 10!
• Patrick (8/5): Different but good - The crusty silver haired gent who assisted us during our stay is a character with a heart of gold. Our room had a spectacular view of the coastline from the balcony. The bed was firm, the shower hot and strong, the breakfast was good and the room was comfortable. On street parking is very limited but we got a park pretty close to the accommodation so ...happy. The ZTL wasn't activated but the streets are very narrow - we chose not to try but walked the streets and there's plenty of eateries around.
• Régis (10/5): Très très bien - Très beau souvenir avec une très belle vue et un excellent accueil du propriétaire. Chambre avec vue très cosy même si la salle de bain se trouve à côté. Le petit-déjeuner se fait avec des produits faits maison. Excellent souvenir de la place. Peut-être attention à la place de parking à réserver lors de la haute saison.
• Van (10/5): Great place to stay in Gerace! - The host was great! He made us feel very welcome with some drinks and cake, and had great recommendations for Gerace. We liked the style of the room (and the whole house) a lot. Best of all was the breakfast with amazing view.
• Anna (10/5): The best stay in Calabria - The best stay in Calabria. The view from the house is absolutely astonishing. The rooms are cozy, warm, and very comfortable. The breakfast is rich and delicious. The host, Gianni, is a wonderful person - the trip is worth it even just to get to know him. This is what a genuine hospitality looks like.
• Klaus-Dieter (10/5): Ach war wieder mal sehr schön.... - Wir haben uns wieder mal hier so richtig wohl gefühlt. Die Aussicht die Ruhe das Frühstück..... alles sehr schön. Zum Frühstück verwöhnt worden mit Salami, Käse, Kuchen, Saft , spitzen Kaffee etc. Nun also wer sonst was an Komfort und Nobelzeug braucht .... bleibt weg und gebt wo anders schlechte Kommentare ab. Hier ist alles einfach aber mit Liebe und Gastfreundschaft gemacht. Einfach heißt nicht schmudelig oder so. Hier wird mit einfachsten Mitteln auf das Wohlbehagen der Gäste eingegangen. Wer so was liebt, kommt her und überzeugt euch selbst. Wir sagen nochmals vielen Dank. Wenn wir wieder in der Nähe sind kommen wir ein drittes Mal vorbei !!!! Wir empfehlen von Herzen !!!

• David (9/5): Great place to visit the hill town or go off walking in the countryside. - The location was on the outer wall of the hill town so great views, parking was close to the property and free. Our host recommended a place to eat which was perfect. Breakfast was great and served by our knowledgeable host.
• Salvatore (10/5): Camera bella e spaziosa nel rione Borghetto - Camera molto spaziosa, in un'antica casa del rione Borghetto, subito a ridosso della città alta di Gerace. Letto con lenzuola fresche e "croccanti" (di lino ?). Colazione sul panoramico balcone con vista sulla costa di Locri; molto buone le marmellate casalinghe. Ottima l'accoglienza e i consigli sulla ristorazione locale.

Breakfast on the balcony in the morning is a special treat with homemade preserves and fine coffee. • Martin (10/5): Don't miss this great place - A super stay - with the nicest of people. Gianni was a most generous host; Valeria was exceedingly helpful in getting me to the local Greek ruins when no public transport was available. A fine old house, well-equipped room, and a splendid breakfast on the balcony with tremendous views down over the countryside and the Ionian Sea. Some may not want the early-morning wake-up call from cars descending the lane below the window! But it's all part and parcel of life in a facscinating medieval town.

• giorgio (10/5): - One of the jewels of our stay in Gerace. Casa Ferrari ushers you in from the street through an old garden teeming with blooming plants. Once in the apartment, old luxe surrounds you from the kitchen with its bergamot and other citrus marmalades and in the cozy and comfortable rooms and bathrooms. The crown of it all is the balcony, where breakfast if served in the morning, that will usher you onto one of the most beautiful views of the Ionian coast, from Gerace down to the beach.. unbelievable!! Simply gorgeous!
• Laurence (10/5): A memorable stay - Everything! The house with character was clean & comfortable. Giovanni made us feel at home welcoming us with a bergamot juice on the balcony. He served a generous breakfast with homemade tart, bergamot juice, jam etc. The view from the balcony of the Calibrian landscape and coastland us breathtaking, by night and by day! Giovanni have us good advice too. We'll come back!! Nothing wish we'd stay longer.

But the star item was exquisite Bergamot marmalade which I could eat until it comes out of my ears. Gerace is a wonderful historic hill town. It has no taxi nor regular bus service so I would strongly recommend car hire to give the best enjoyment of the locality.

Valeria and Mario, the owners of Casa Ferrari, were highly welcoming as was Giovanni who works at Casa Ferrari. They all made a great effort to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable and were very hospitable indeed. My room was very comfortable with delightful views from the balcony towards the sea. Casa Ferrai is situated in the historic town of Gerace which is steeped in history and full of historic buildings of interest.

• La Feuille (10/5): Un séjour de rêve - Nous sommes restés quatre nuits et nous avons eu bien du mal à partir. L'accueil a été très agréable et la propriétaire et le responsable du B&B ont fait tout ce qui était en leur pouvoir pour répondre à nos demandes. Nous avons occupé la chambre avec vue sur la mer. Le matin, la journée, le soir, le spectacle est grandiose. C'est l'un des endroits les plus agréables que nous avons découvert en Calabre pendant notre périple de trois semaines.
