- Jane (9/5): A lovely, comfortable hotel with stunning ocean views. - This delightful 1930s property is in a beautiful quiet location on a cliff top by the ocean. The beach and the tessellated pavement are a short walk from the hotel. The restaurant and cafe are open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week. A light breakfast or breakfast packs are available. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I thought that the bedroom could have had heavier curtains and some bedrooms are accessed by stairs only. The restaurant menu doesn’t mention special dietary options. A number of meals are served with slaw and chips but a vegetable alternative isn’t offered. Breakfast is available from 8:30 to 10:00am but there are breakfast packs if you need to leave earlier.

Place de parking juste à côté du logement. Literie de bonne qualité. Personnel très sympa ! Les plats proposés par le restaurant ne sont certainement pas faits maison. Il faudrait réduire la carte et proposer des produits frais.

This was our best accommodation stop in tassie by far and one to remember . A shirt walk to the tessellated pavement and a drive to port Arthur . An ideal spot to spend a night or two.

The young man in the main bar was lovely, as were the people on reception The food in the restaurant was not great. I ordered the soup of the day (pumpkin, my favourite!) I asked if it came with bread, I was told yes. When the soup arrived I was immediately disappointed. By the colour I knew it wasn’t going to be great. I couldn’t tell you what soup it was but it definitely wasn’t pumpkin. The flavour wasn’t great, I tried dunking my one mini dinner roll into it to see if that made a difference but unfortunately not. A bit of work outside around the reception area is needed and also some signage when you come off the main road directing you to reception, car parks etc

- Anna (1/5): A noisy two nights sitting over the pub and looking over the smoking area. No sleep. - Free parking on the dirt. The view from the restaurant over the ocean is beautiful. Our room was looking to the boat/carpark rather the mountain view. The room sat directly above the pub and the only window was looking over the smoking area/terrace where customers stayed until very late enjoying themselves but making impossible to sleep in particular the Friday happy hour when we arrived. Also then, by 4.30 am the fishermen start pulling out their cars and boats in front of you with the light scanning your room. The room only had two available shelfs on the wall measuring aprox. 20 cms width by aprox 50 cms lenght where the kettle sat on one with two cups and coffee sachets. Below was a blanket so therefore there was no room for placing belongings or unpacking. We put together the two chairs facing each other in order to place the suitcase rather than in the bed. Otherwise you will have to place the suitcase on the narrow stretch of floor making impossible to go to the toilet unless you jumped over it. No towel rails or space to put your cardigans or trousers for the next day. Do not get the mountain room because you will end over the bar like us, or the kitchen which stays until late cleaning and washing.

It annoyed me that the menu says " candied pumpkin" with a lamb dish, and all it was was a piece of steamed pumpkin, not even a touch of colour on it. Once before I had the mushroom risotto and it wasn't pleasant. It tasted of flour and not much more.

The rooms were a very good size, comfy bed and good heating. The shower was also fantastic. Great value for money. Ate in the restaurant at night with fresh oysters to start. The food was wonderful. It was a lovely one night stay. Smokers smoking on their terrace next door so could not really sit out there but what can you do. They were keen evening and morning smokers too 😂

Schnitzel was standard pre-made fare from a frozen packet. Definitely NOT worthy of the nearly $30 price. Would likely not stay here again.

- Crutchley (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyable. - Staff were very friendly. Was nice to arrive on a cold, wet and very windy day and be met with such a friendly team. After enjoying a hot shower, went to the bar area to relax with a wine by the lovely fireplace, overlooking the ocean, before moving into the dining area for a very delicious dinner. Whilst it is an older venue, it is well positioned and very clean. Enjoyed our stay.

- Tanya (8/5): Amazing location - Location near the beach, free parking and WiFi, air con/heating, bar/restaurant on site, great shower, comfy bed, kitchen facilities (dishwasher, microwave, oven) Thin squeaky floors (We were on ground level and we could hear the people above us moving around late at night and early in the morning)

- elizabeth (8/5): Great location, rooms beautifully decorated. - Rooms are beautifully decorated, bed super comfy. Common hallway etx recently all refurbished . Great location Rooms are small so don't take a lot of luggage. There is no lift and the stairs are quite steep, although staff did offer to help carry bags. We had shower in bath. I always feel it is a bit of a hazard in small bathroom

- Rich (8/5): Need more staff - View was stunning. Room was very clean and modern. Plenty of parking and easy to find. Room was very small. Minimal staff working, so took ages to get anything. Drinks food etc but they were all lovely and flat out just understaffed.

- Vladimir (10/5): - We liked the room, the food from the restaurant (got some food even though arrived at the closing time). The place is nice and the beaches around are spectacular. Very friendly staff, we were glad to use an EV-charger at the parking (it was slow but free and OK for a night-charge).
- Rebecca (10/5): - Love it here! The location is amazing, right next to tessellated pavement and close to visiting Port Arthur etc. Rooms have everything you need. Good restaurant on site- good seafood chowder. The rooms do get cold at night - the windows are not well insulated so there is lots of cold that comes through. My jackets next to the window were a little damp when getting up. However, they soon warmed up! So no biggy.
- Alanna (4/5): Gorgeous location but hotel needs much more money spent on it to bring it up to 2026 tourist requirements. - Beautiful location. Rooms too small, shower too small & water either too hot or too cold, no face washers, no elevator, laundry very basic.
- Beate (8/5): Schöne Lage , einfach - aber völlig in Ordnung - Schöne Lage , nettes und freundliches Personal , das Essen war einfach, aber gut 👍. Die Zimmer auch sehr einfach , etwas klein - aber alles in Ordnung . Für eine Nacht war es für uns perfekt .

- Shane (6/5): Other than the extremely disappointing meal we enjoyed our stay. - Great location with stunning views. The accomodation was neat, tidy and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. The bar has an amazing aspect. The dinner was a very low quality and poorly presented. Over/undercooked and did not match the menu description.

- Debbie (10/5): - Everything, we have stayed here about 6 times over the last 11 years. Always bring our friends from Canada and New Zealand down to stay when touring around and visiting Port Arthur. Some people wanted face washers, but no biggie.
