Guest Reviews
- Donna (10/5): -
- İbrahim (7/5): - We booked for an jakuzi suite and in the pictures it was at the 2nd floor but when we go there they told us there are only 3 rooms upstairs with jakuzi so we felt like scammed.
- Mohamed Ayoub (8/5): - La propreté, l’emplacement , le complexe est immense Le service , l’animation est presque absente pour les adultes
- Distaso (8/5): -
- Iuliia (10/5): - The staff was wonderful, everyone was very friendly. The hotel grounds were spacious and clean, and the rooms were comfortable. The food was incredibly delicious. The kids had plenty of fun. We enjoyed our stay!
- Elisa (10/5): Ottimo resort per chi ha bambini - Ristorante

- Debra (10/5): - Absolutely fabulous.
Everything was fantastic.....we travel the world extensively , this is a fabulous hotel with attention to detail.
We were out of school holidays , there were plenty of kids around but all really well behaved. No basket ball.
- Mohd (7/5): -
- firetails (10/5): Third time visiting - It’s our third time at this hotel. Everyone is always super lovely and helpful, the atmosphere is great and the food is nice
- Pioneer61389587428 (10/5): The best holiday experience you could ever have for a family! - Amazing time all week. Staff so friendly. Yousoff at the pool was so kind and friendly keeping all our drinks and needs seen to. Hotel and all the HV purple people made us feel so looked after and they are so friendly and full of tips to make the holiday go well. This was our first time in Egypt, can’t wait to book to come back to this brilliant hotel next year.
- laurapD7126JC (10/5): Very happy - Very friendly and efficient ☺️
- 788imogenh (10/5): Holiday - Ahmed and romany both brilliant at the holiday red sea
- manchesteriano (2/5): If with kids, be aware. They will ruin your holiday - First time ever have our holiday ruined by hotel staff. When booking holiday we were excited about it. For the first time we've seen kids club run by ages. Our two kids always went together in the past in different resorts. This time club is divided by age groups. Ours are 9 and 11, which is fine as group advertised, still in the hotel, is 9 - 12 years old. Unfortunately they separate our kids saying they've changed it to 10-12. Hotel information still reads 9-12. Kids don't want to go separately. Meaning we're stuck with them for the rest of the stay. I definitely don't recommend the resort because of this experience. And will not come back.
- J1718HOjayf (10/5): Amazing! - Ahmed was amazing at the pool! Top service!
- ianwU4801IR (4/5): Terrible service standards, cannot recommend. - Not very impressed.
I would say that this hotel is perhaps a 3 star, definitely not 5, but perhaps 3.5 if our own experiences were isolated.
1. despite there clearly being three people in my family staying in our family room plus child den, the room service insisted on several days in leaving only two towels. When we raised this and asked for an extra towel so that we could all shower without having to share a towel, we were told “right away”. This was at 10:30am. At 1:45pm and 4pm I again requested towels and was told “right away”. As of 5pm, still no towels.
2. The overzealous restaurant staff who pounce immediately if you even try to take a bread roll back to your room for a snack. Which you will want to because the only thing the room is stocked with is water and slightly mouldy fruit at the start of the holiday only. There are no soft drinks, no wine, beer etc. Hardly the hallmark of a 5* hotel.
3. Food quality: the buffet is generally quite good (quality and variety), but the à la carte offerings are rather poor. The Kung po chicken in the Asian restaurant was about as bland as it possibly could be, with little to no seasoning and zero chilli. The American one was similarly poor. The Greek and Indian ones were ok, but the flavour of the food had been dialled back so much compared to what you would expect in a comparable independent restaurant, it was a bit of a let down. Don’t even ask about the Stonegrill where you pay even more for the privilege of cooking your own dinner. Whomever thought this was a good idea needs to go back to business school. Unsurprisingly we never saw anyone in there during our entire stay over Easter 2026.
4. Room quality: spacious airy rooms are a big plus, but everything is a bit worn and tired (less than 3*). Coupled with a dribble of water pressure and dodgy air conditioning that kept throwing up an error code. Rating = 3, no more, no less.
Conclusion.
A decent resort with staff who try hard, but this doesn’t rescue the ageing infrastructure or over-zealous “rules” around F&B, poor service timeliness, or sparsely stocked room provisions.
Would we come back? Perhaps, but I would be inclined to try another hotel before rushing back to this one. Not 5*
5. Update on 2nd visit to Greek restaurant on second to last night. I ordered chicken gyro (described as minced chicken cooked on a spit in the menu) and what arrived was several lumps of bland white chicken breast smothered in some kind of sauce. I even translated the menu from English to Egyptian Arabic when speaking to the chef and he agreed that the menu was not correct. I ended up going to the buffet as nothing else took my fancy and my wife and daughter had already finished their meals. Shame as this restaurant was good the first time around.
1. Update on spa/ massage. We were offered a free massage due to our 2 hour “VIP” experience running over (£100 GBP each!). We have an 11 year old daughter and kids club is only open for 2 hr 15 mins. Nevertheless we were assured that the VIP experience would be complete in 2 hours as advertised. Our experience started 20 minutes late, with an overly long stay in the sauna, followed by a cold steam room, which they admitted was due to a technical fault. During the “steam” room experience they pumped concentrated eucalyptus into the room and we were both coughing after 5 mins, with eyes watering. The actual massage began 25 minutes before 2 hours was due to elapse, so I mentioned this and they offered a free massage to compensate. On taking the free massage 5 days later, I was lying on my front and I noticed that the beds were very narrow with a hard metal edge along each side. The masseuse repeatedly leant his full body weight on my left arm while massaging me with his right hand. This was very painful on my bicep as it was digging into the metal table edge. Eventually I said “enough, please stop leaning on me, you are hurting my arm”. His reply … “relax!”. Would definitely steer clear of the overpriced, sub-optimal quality spa. Avoid, avoid!
All in all, a “decent” overall holiday experience as it is what you make it, but with very patchy service and certainly not worth the money. Will try somewhere else next time. Revised rating is 4-5/10 and 3 star, maximum.
Further update from day of departure (8 April 2026). Despite informing front desk that we were taking a private taxi to the airport and therefore leaving 30 minutes ahead of schedule, as advised by many travellers, when we requested someone to collect t our luggage 45 minutes ahead of time, no-one showed. Yet again, we called and were told “right away”, and yet again no-one turned up. Having just had abdominal surgery, I was relying on assistance to move our luggage yet I ended up doing it myself. When I mentioned this at the front desk along with the fact that we told them in advance that we were leaving early, we were told “I am sorry, all of our collections are at the same time”. I find this an incredulous lack of professionalism given the information we provided them. And there is almost a wilful lack of timeliness in everything they do.
I am downgrading this to a 2 star in light of our departure experience and can say without any reservation that I will NEVER stay in this shambles of a hotel again! Disgraceful service.
- Sian_cross (10/5): Egypt holiday - Absolutely brilliant. Loads for the children to do. Staff were attentive and friendly. Food was incredible. Lots of variety. Highly recommend.
- Discover62699004989 (10/5): Great experience! - Excellent experience, would definitely recommend. Service was great especially at the pool bar with Hansy.
- robbU8869KR (10/5): Red sea holiday village - Excellent service throughout the hotel. Staff are really friendly and kind. In particular Youssef(bar staff) was fantastic, kind and funny. I would highly recommend red sea holiday village for a family holiday
- jamesgO373XM (10/5): Youssef - Youssef is excellent lovely guy
- V2017PIlucyd (10/5): Great - Mohamed great cocktails and service at the pool bar
- 740vandam (10/5): The Sports Bar - Mohamed in The Sports Bar is the best, very friendly, very polite, go and see him. Always having a laugh and joke with customers
- markwT3509NV (10/5): Egypt - March 2026 (My 6th time) - Just got back from another amazing stay and it honestly keeps getting better every time ✈️☀️
The location is spot on – only 20 minutes from the airport, which makes travelling so easy. During the day the atmosphere around the pool is brilliant, and the evening entertainment has really improved since the renovation work was completed 👌
The rooms are always spotless, with huge comfortable beds, excellent air conditioning, and loads of space including walk-in wardrobes. You can actually get a proper night’s sleep too, as you don’t hear any of the entertainment from the rooms.
The service is consistently outstanding – every member of staff is friendly, professional, and genuinely makes you feel welcome.
I always book through TUI as the value for money is hard to beat. This was my 6th visit and I’ll definitely be coming back again and again!
Highly recommend
Shout out to Gaber who always makes me feel at comfort during my stays ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- 529albanah (10/5): Great hotel - There is so much atmosphere in this hotel. The people are super friendly! It is a very clean hotel. The animators are super fun and kind. If you want to have the time of your life, you should definitely get to know Depo, Wakanda, and Baby Face. They are amazing people!
- S9039RDdavids (10/5): Service - Service from terrace bar was excellent from diaa
- M9498WSbernadetteg (10/5): Amazing hotel been here 3 times in 1 year - Lovely relaxing hotel, with many different areas depending on your wants. There is the main pool with activities, quiet pool and then the beach. The staff here can't do enough for you. They notice when your drink is nearly empty and ask if you would like more. Rooms are lovely, clean and of good size.

- 873randm (10/5): My daughter loved the Kids Club - I would like to give a special thank you to Shanai from the Kids Club. She was incredibly kind, friendly, and wonderful with the children. She treated my daughter with so much care, warmth, and patience, which made us feel very comfortable and happy.
My daughter loved spending time at the Kids Club and always looked forward to seeing Shanai. Her positive energy and lovely way with the kids made the experience truly special.
- H2977ZKahmedh (10/5): Excellent experience - I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Check-in was smooth and the staff were welcoming and professional. The room was spotless, quiet, and well equipped with everything we needed.
The location is perfect — close to restaurants, shops and main attractions, which made getting around very easy.
Our children enjoyed the kids club and mini-disco with Shanai who was very keen of them and they love her so much .
- D4439EPmohamede (10/5): Nice hotel with friendly staff. - Nice hotel with friendly staff.
- Getaway32366223395 (10/5): Great so far no complaints - Maged is an absolute credit to the team. He is incredibly professional, kind, and always has a smile on his face. Every time we ordered drinks, he was attentive and friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. He would always go the extra mile by bringing our drinks over promptly and checking in to make sure everything was perfect.
Genuinely a top guy who made a big difference to our stay—thank you, Maged!
- murarogiorgia97 (10/5): Beautiful holiday - I had a wonderful holiday at Coral Sea, a truly excellent resort in every aspect. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the entire resort is set in a relaxing environment, perfect for both families and anyone looking to unwind.
The staff is always kind, helpful, and attentive to every need, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
A special thanks goes to Shanai from the animation team.
She was simply amazing with my son! Always smiling, full of energy, and able to engage children with enthusiasm and, above all, kindness.
Even though she is part of the international animation team and we are Italian, she was fantastic at communicating and making us feel completely at ease.
She truly made a difference in our holiday.
I highly recommend this resort and hope to return soon!
- EssexRogue (10/5): Excellent - We travelled to Coral Sea Holiday Village on the 1/3/26, not our first visit to Sharm but our first visit to this hotel. The room was great, ground floor as requested and kept lovely and clean with water topped up daily and beach towels. In the morning it was lovely to wake up and see Egrets, Hoopies and wagtails walking on the lawns outside our room. The staff were all friendly and efficient although a special shout to Waled who was always in the restaurant in the morning such a gentleman. The tables were always laid up ready for guests we never had to wait for tables to be cleared. The guys keeping the floors clean did an excellent job as well. The beach guys were always helpful with the beds and windbreaks (very windy when we were there) there was nothing to fault it was lovely. We were always asked if we wanted drinks at our beds. The only thing that would have made it better would have been an adult only section in the dining room. On the right as you entered the restaurant would have been perfect. I think we will be back, thank you for a lovely holiday.
- sarahmN2716NO (10/5): Honest review of coral sea holiday resort - My daughter and I stayed here for a week to escape the British winter weather and to get some R&R and we were not disappointed.
We stayed in a swim up room, which was only an extra £150 for the week and in my opinion well worth it. That said, there were always plenty of sun beds around the main pools and beach area.
This hotels biggest attribute is its staff. They are very friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. I can honestly say we did not queue at the bar once for a drink, day or night. It was waiter service to your, table or sun bed (including the swim up rooms!).
The complex was spotless and staff working constantly to keep the gardens beautiful.
Our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and we were always asked if there was anything else we needed.
Food was very tasty and we never struggled to find something we liked. The Al la cart meals were particularly delicious. We had the Indian, Chinese and American Diner and I can honestly say they were the best I have experienced in an all inclusive.
Beach was OK. Adults only section had nicer sand (finer). You had to walk a long way out to get to a depth where you can swim. Bring beach shoes as there are lots of star fish and some stony bits in the shallow parts. You can always walk down the long pier and get straight in that way if you prefer - this section is sandy.
The only down side was the evening entertainment which was pretty much non existent apart from most nights there was a singer between 2200-2300 who seemed to sing the same songs each night!
We spoke to a few couples during our stay and most were return customers which I think says a lot.
We had a wonderful holiday and will definitely come back!!
- andrewjaustin (10/5): Fantastic ❤️ - Just returned back from a 10 day stay and want to take this opportunity to rate our stay of which I can honestly say was absolutely fabulous .we stayed in room 7203 which had a great views of the gardens which are immaculate and vast ,our room was nice and big, lovely comfortable large bed spacious bathroom and large balcony of which was daily serviced by the most friendly smiling chap Mr TALAL who was always around non stop working, a credit to the hotel we had the options of 5 visits to the Al a carte restaurants of which the Asian & American diner were superb 👍we spent our days around the quiet pool of which we were met every morning by the smiling pool guys who would immediately arrange your sun beds and their is no need to rush down as plentiful, then to be served all day with drinks by Mr AHMED who was the smiling friendly waiter/Bar tender who never stopped ! I mean never stopped grafting 🙏of which on a evening he would be once again working at the terrace bar non stop a credit again to the Hotel team 👍we met great new friends and of course we will be 100% returning in the near future would highly recommend this hotel well done
- 268samf (10/5): Our 3rd year at Coral Sea! - This year was the 3rd year we’ve been to Coral Sea and I couldn’t recommend it enough. Perfect for families with littles ones!
Hotel is clean and spacious. Lots of variety of food in the main buffet. We have a 4.5 year old and 10 month old and has no issues with finding them something to eat. The restaurants also have plenty of choice and the food is very tasty.
The staff here are excellent. The waiters are so friendly, especially with the kids and can’t do enough for you.
The life guards would help us with our pram and lay our towels out for us, very helpful!
Plenty of activities during the day for those who want to get involved but not pushed if you don’t want to. - morning stretches, aqua fitness, waterpolo, darts.
This was the first year our daughter went to the kids club and she absolutely loved it.
Shanai, is so good with the children and there’s always something different for them everyday. Our little girl loved getting her face painted.
The mini disco in the evening was the highlight for our little girl. Half an hour every night at 8:30 for them to dance and sing. Shanai and others always made this so fun for them.
Entertainment after this was also pretty good. Dancers, magicians, light shows
The hotel is doing quite a bit of refurbishment so it can only get better!
100% would recommend!
- jakabs2015 (8/5): March 2026 holiday - We just returned from a 14-day holiday at this resort. I only gave 4* as I feel this is not a 5* resort. I previously stayed in a 5star hotel in Egypt and there was a big difference. On our first day we had to exchange rooms and upgrade for a better one as the first one was very disappointing. In general everything seems to be very old and outdated: the furniture, the walls, the sink, the repairs are superficial. If these will be sorted in the future, the resort can be a 5* - it’s the little details that make a difference and unfortunately we do notice them.
But in general, we had a good time, the rooms are actually quite big, they were cleaned every day, we got bottles of water every day, towels were replaced as well.
The food in the buffet restaurant was good, sometimes maybe a bit repetitive, but the ones in the a-la-carte restaurants were amazing, highly recommend them.
The entertainment needs to be improved, not much to do tbh, there was a live singer in the evening on the main terrace and that was it..in the evening you can hear the entertainment from the neighbour hotel, Rixos…which omg, you can tell the difference 😬
The staff were amazing and very helpful which is a big plus; I even got a cake for my bday and we had several towel arts left on the bed 🤩
As a conclusion, we had a good time and enjoyed our stay, but the resort definitely needs improvements on all levels - it’s supposed to be a 5*…
Thank you.
- mrsmdub1989 (10/5): A lovely family trip - We recently got back from our trip and really enjoyed our time at this hotel. The staff always went above and beyond, especially on one of the nights when we arrive late and my daughter wanted ice cream but the restaurant had closed, lovely Ahmed went into the kitchen and got her an ice cream which really made her smile and was a great start to our trip.
Special mention to Ali for arranging the aqua gym every morning, a great way to start the day, it was so fun! Also, the other daily activities were enjoyable too.
Shanai, was excellent with my 4-year-old daughter at the kids club. Shanai was patient, creative and always attentive and lots of fun to be around. My daughter really enjoyed the mini disco every night hosted by Shanai and her colleagues.
Thank you all!! We hope to visit again, lots of love from London ❤️
- Alison2505 (10/5): Fabulous hotel - disappointing spa treatments - Great hotel!!
Had a brilliant 10 day break, hotel hasn’t changed in all the years I’ve been here, always clean, staff absolutely fabulous, rooms spacious & spotlessly clean.
The Italian restaurant is excellent, we visited twice during our stay & also ordered the steak on room service which is also the same as the steak meal there!
This was my 11th visit to this hotel & my 12th being booked for this coming October!
I brought my sister for the 1st time this year, she loved it but was very disappointed with her spa treatments, although mine were good I do have some tips for staff improvement.
My job back home is a qualified sports therapist & beautician. I’ve been doing it for over 22yrs & thought I’d treat myself to a treatment every day during my stay. Massage is intended for relaxation but on many occasions after getting me on the couch they then go in & out of the room getting stuff & people coming in & out collecting bits, this is not very professional or relaxing. They know what time they’re appointments are each day why not get everything they need before the client arrives & have a do not disturb on the door.
I also advise no phones! On 3 separate visits I caught the Massure on her phone whilst massaging my feet! I’ve paid good money for my treatments I don’t expect not to get a good service, also 50mins should mean 50 minutes not 40! My sister asked for soft & was left so bruised she couldn’t return for her following 5 treatments, no refund was offered! The facial was absolutely brutal so if you’re wanting a facial like back home don’t book it! My sisters eyes were red & stinging as oil was dropped on her face & into her eyes, shocking!

- goldielocksEngland (10/5): Great hotel and lovely staff - Food choice is great. Our room was cleaned every day by the lovely Talal who made sure we had everything we needed, changed beds towels cleaned cups and glasses moped all the floors. Great service. Very attentive. Staff in adult bar don’t seem to do service we had to go to bar to get drinks but the bar staff in terrace bar were great especially Shady.
The hotel next door can get very noisy at night playing loud music.
We had swim up room and the pool was checked and cleaned everyday.
Gardens are immaculate but mowing the lawns can begin at 7 am
Special shout out to Greek restaurant who looked after my friend who didn’t feel well. Very understanding.
2nd time here and I’d come back again
- rachaelg177 (10/5): Great hotel, great staff - Large spaced hotel, clean beach, lovely food and staff really make your experience special, nothing is too much, especially Sayed and Abdul who really went above and beyond
- Kali Safwat (8/5): -
- W7267XWsandyc (10/5): Great stay - We had a lovely stay at Coral Sea Holiday Resort. The resort was very clean, in a great location, and had everything we needed for a relaxing family holiday.
The kids club was fantastic. Our little one got on so well with Shanni and always wanted to go back. She especially loved the mini disco every evening!
Such a friendly team who really made our holiday even better. We would definitely return.
- keegan99 (10/5): Return visit after 10yrs - Fantastic time coming back to this hotel after 10yrs of being away.
Just as we remembered but even better.
Loads of improvements we never got to see the updated lobby bar but gives us to return soon
Food amazing
Service fantastic
Amazing room
A great chilled 11 days.
The only thing we found that could have been improved was the evening entertainment on the terrace.
Great singers but it was chilly and windy too cold to sit on terrace to watch/hear them sing on a few nights
They are positioned outside of the huge entertainment room, why when its cooler on terrace can they not sing indoors
Waste of a room where people were sitting. Loads of people saying the same thing.
They don't have to ho on stage just let them sing just inside the doors.
Other than that we enjoyed our stay and will defo be back hopefully soon.
All the staff from cleaners, gardeners ,room attendants, bar staff, restaurant staff, reception staff all fab.
Well done x
- 531marlys (8/5): Clean hotel, great staff – special thanks to Shanai - We had a really nice stay overall. The hotel was clean and well kept, and the general atmosphere around the resort was pleasant and relaxing. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better.
One thing we felt could be improved would be having more heated pools, as it would make swimming more comfortable, especially during cooler periods.
A special mention has to go to the animation and kids club team. They were fantastic with the children. In particular, Shanai was amazing with my 4-year-old daughter. She was incredibly caring, friendly, and attentive. My daughter absolutely loved spending time with her and always looked forward to going to the kids club. As parents, it made a huge difference knowing she was in such safe and capable hands.
The tall waiter Mohammed at breakfast was alos great and couldn’t do enough and made sure to give my daughter a high 5 and make her smile every time he seen her.
Thank you to the team for helping make our stay enjoyable.
- robertgY7126GN (10/5): Fantastic holiday, highly recommend - My first time in Egypt and what an experience it was. I had the best time and met the best people. We stayed in Coral Sea resort which is a fantastic hotel with brilliant staff warm, friendly, professional, funny and kind. I would especially like to give a shout out to Ali the best holidayrep in Egypt. This guy is an absolute legend and a credit to the hotel and Egypt. We’re already looking to plan to come back. I highly recommend this hotel and if you go, you must say hi to Ali.
- dovebar2000 (10/5): Our stay as a family of three - We stayed for 10 days in late February/early March as a family of three with a 5 year old and had a wonderful time.
Location - The hotel is only a short transfer from the airport but is on the flight path so there is plane noise but did not affect our stay, it was a bit of a novelty to be honest! It is just off the main road so easily accessible to shops if that's what you like. You don't really hear traffic noise once in the complex itself.
Lovely, private and clean beachfront. Shallow water so very safe for kids to play in, then a sort jetty walk to get to deeper water for snorkling.
Rooms - We had a swim-up room which was very clean and spacious. Sayed did a great job every morning and left some wonderful towel art, especially when in was our daughters birthday! Pool had great views over the immaculately kept gardens, however was very cold but to be excepted for early in the year.
There was one heated pool that we used the most as all other pools were very cold. we have access to water park over in neighbouring Coral Sea, over the road, this was a lovely addition that we several times.
Food - the main buffet restaurant had a wide selection of foods that suited us. We managed to eat something different every time we went. The a la carte restaurants were nice to visit for a change of scenery and to have table service. We did find the food serviced in these was available in the main buffet restaurant. Not a bad thing but would have been nice to have something different.
Atmosphere - we were made to feel very welcome and safe. All staff were friendly and always smiling and happy to help. Our daughter loved the kids club, with a special shout out to Shanai who kept her busy with arts, crafts, face painting and games. She loved the mini disco every night and Shanai made her holiday very special. :-)
The hotel have enough to keep us busy during our stay and what we like on our holidays - sunshine, pool, beach, swimming, great food, friendly staff and atmosphere.
- TashaS254 (10/5): Family holiday - Great location! Not far from the airport (20 mins) travelled with hubby, three kids, 10, 7 and 6 months.
I love the fact you don’t have to walk far to any amenities on the resort, it’s big but not too big.
Room onto pool, pool onto beach perfect!
The cleanliness of the actual resort was of high standard. The rooms clean but often fresh towels and water forgotten, soon rectified with a quick phone call to reception, a little annoying after a while, so could be improved.
The gardens beautifully immaculate, the pools clean and inviting (a little chilly in Feb but I’d expect that).
The beach was clean, a little work and improvements going on around the resort but you barely notice any noise/work activity.
The food, some of the best we’ve ever had over the years, great selection, always clean and fresh, no bad tummy’s that ppl speak about with Egypt.
It’s a really peaceful resort, a little pressured by spa staff, but they get the message after a couple of no’s.
The pool/bar staff attentive, even more so if they are tipped you are well looked after!
And the lifeguards friendly.
My older kids loved the mini disco in the evening, it’s short but sweet, and the open terrace has a great atmosphere with live music.
Evening entertainment not amazing but again no biggy. Used the kids club the last couple of days, nice air con space, with lots of additions being made, special mention to Shanai, she’s great with the kids.
It was a good value family holiday, would visit again!
Thank you!
- rubyw628 (10/5): Amazing holiday - We recently returned from an amazing stay at the Coral Sea Holiday Resort and it truly exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The resort itself was beautiful, with fantastic facilities, delicious food, and plenty of options for both relaxation and activities. Everything was incredibly well organised and the staff across the resort were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Shanai was really good with my 2 year old nephew and always made an effort to ensure that we were having a good time!
- luciasQ2073FU (10/5): Amazing hotel - Would totally recommend this hotel it is beautiful and the staff are amazing. It has a lovely and relaxing atmosphere. The animation team were very helpful, fun and made me and my friend feel safe. They done everything they could to make sure we were happy, comfortable and enjoying ourselves.
- Jessica (9/5): This was our first time in Egypt and all inclusive. Our room was very spacious, bed very comfortable, staff were very fr - Just the right size , good selection of pools , great staff Nothing
- 228atishv (6/5): Good potential but needs work! - Overall had a pleasant enough stay but could have been better.
Cons:
Upon arrival, not very welcoming from the staff at reception. Didn’t give us any information about opening hours of bars and restaurants or anything. No map for guidance (needed as resort is quite big).
We opted for this hotel as one of the persons we travelled with had stayed there before and highly recommended it. It was also listed on TUI as being a ‘Platinum’ resort. This didn’t seem the case from some of the service we received. The food was pretty substandard unfortunately. I was very disappointed with the quality on offer at the À la carte restaurants. Dry overcooked chicken everywhere! I was also disappointed to not find any premium branded drinks (wouldn’t have minded paying extra). Most of the staff at the bars weren’t very helpful and looked like they didn’t want to be there and generally seemed moody (maybe Ramadan played a part and they were just hangry?)
Kids club was a bit disappointing as there didn’t seem much to do. It was also poorly advertised. When asked at reception for information, they didn’t have a clue what activities were on or available which i thought was odd for a hotel of that calibre. They just said to go to the kids club and ask direct (a fair walk from there!)
Rooms need updating.
Pros:
On the plus there were a few staff members that went above and beyond and were very friendly. Notably the ones at breakfast and dinner buffet. Big shout out to Shanai from kids club who was very friendly and helpful. She seemed the only one who kept the kids club going as best as she could!
The hotel grounds are spectacular. The groundsmen seemed to work tirelessly and meticulously to keep the gardens and landscape picture perfect. It has potential to be a great hotel with some adjustments.
Another shout out to the security guys at the gate with the dogs! Very welcoming and friendly and my daughter loved playing with the dogs. As soon as we walked up, one of the guards would hand one of the puppies straight to her!
Great location. Close to a lot of local shops and only 10/15 mins to Soho Square
- 984issyd (10/5): Holiday review - Had an amazing stay at Coral Sea Holiday Resort. The whole holiday was incredible from start to finish — the hotel is beautiful, the atmosphere is great, and the staff really make the experience special. The animation team were fantastic and always kept the energy high with activities and entertainment throughout the day and night. A special shoutout to Shanai in the kids club, she was absolutely amazing with the children, so kind, patient, and full of energy — you can tell she really loves what she does and the kids adored her. Everything from the service to the entertainment made the holiday feel effortless and fun. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back. 🌴☀️✨
- B2746ESahmedf (10/5): Some tips during our 14-night stay - It was a wonderful stay and the staff were fantastic.
- Muhsin (9/5): Hakikaten Harika - Tesis Türkleri çok seviyor.Yemeklerde sıfır koku, inanılmaz lezzetli ve tazeler.Türk damak tadına hitap ediyor.Tatlılar çok taze.Sahil mükemmel.Odamızı ücretsiz yükselttiler.Odalar son derece geniş ve ferah.Otelde tüm imkanlar mevcut.Çok Teşekkür ederiz. - 932MikeF932 (10/5): Nice chill out, great food and great weather - Really nice hotel, food was really good,a la cartes were even better, all staff are really helpful and friendly, plenty of space,no fighting for sunbeds,it ticked all the boxes for us.Weather here is always great, blue skies everyday,a bit windy but still nice.
- K5850YIsaraw (10/5): Great for families - Brilliant for families. Staff are lovely especially Ahmed at the bar in the evening
- hazelp900 (10/5): Fantastic hotel - What a beautiful hotel, the room was spotless, (thank you Hassan) spacious, and had a lovely view of the grounds.
All the staff are amazing, they simply cant do enough for you, whether it be in the restaurants, the pool, or the beach. Everyone is super friendly, cant wait to come back, thank you to you all for a memorable holiday
- V7802DWrachell (8/5): Recommended - Our first time stay in Egypt was a relaxing experience, thanks to the hospitality of this hotel.
The staff were incredibly hard working and courteous, eager to give a good experience; restaurants to garden maintenance, everything was delivered to a good standard.
In terms of the food...there was incredible choice and quality. A la carte restaurants included Indian. Chinese, Greek, American, and we ate at all but the Indian.
Niggles with the room were sorted very quickly...for example..our shower water was cold...maintenance came very quickly and sorted it.
Quiet pool is heated, however, it is still a bit chilly for winter season in Egypt, despite it being 20+degrees. Also if mobility is an issue, be aware that there are no accessible steps into any of the pools, only pool ladders. The swim up rooms have accessible private pools, however I would think twice about buying these in winter as they are not heated.
The sea is accessible by the jetty for swimming... at low tide the sea goes out quite a distance.
Would definitely stay again...
- lellbelle (10/5): Heaven - I have just returned from a wonderful week here
The rooms are very spacious we had a disabled room which was on the top floor of the hotel not ideal but we have advised the management that ground floor would be less problematic and they are looking into doing this.
The hotel and grounds are very clean and well managed, there is a heated outside pool where we stayed in great company with Ali and Ahmed in particular are simply the best!
Restaurant was quite large with food catering to all dietary needs and the food is very good, we dined some days outside where we met Kareem who works the whole outside area alone he is charming and quick to make sure you have everything you need.
Only gripe was the internet it did cut out a fair bit for me anyway.
Overall this is a fantastic hotel with outstanding staff well done Coral seas and a special thank you for making my Birthday extra special with your delicious Birthday cake!

✅ *Pros*
• Beautiful, well-maintained gardens
• Spacious room with super king-sized bed and walk-in wardrobe
• Lovely playground for children
• Warm weather when the wind dropped
❌ *Cons*
• Very strong tipping culture
• Consistently poor restaurant service
• Lack of consideration for children at meal times
• Cold water in the room for most of the stay
• Only one heated pool in Winter
• Persistent sellers around hotel, pool and beach
• Disruptive behaviour from unsupervised children
Review:
*Room & Amenities*
Our room was a spacious and comfortable Deluxe Select Double Room with Balcony, featuring a super king-sized bed and a walk-in wardrobe, which we really appreciated. They also supplied robes and slippers. However, the hot water was a major issue - for more than half of our stay, the water was cold and very unpleasant for showers. It only seemed to work properly and become hot two days before the end of our holiday, which was extremely frustrating.
*Hotel Grounds & Pools*
The gardens are immaculately maintained and there’s a good selection of pools. However, only one small pool is heated, and it can be loud due to speakers playing music throughout the day. It would have made a huge difference if the children’s pool had also been heated as our three-year-old daughter would have happily played there, giving us some time to relax, but the water was icy cold.
*Playground & Child Safety*
There is a lovely playground which we used every morning and evening, particularly when it wasn’t quite warm enough to swim. Unfortunately, during our stay a plastic playhouse collapsed on top of two small children. It didn’t appear safe and should not have been placed in the playground in the first place. Despite this, the rest of the wooden playground with climbing, slides and swings was fantastic and kept our daughter busy.
*Service & Tipping Culture*
The service and overall atmosphere really let the hotel down. There is a very strong tipping culture throughout the resort, with staff seemingly expecting tips for doing the bare minimum. At meal times, service was consistently poor. When staff eventually approached our table to offer drinks, they would return and put the drinks in front of the wrong person — even when we had only ordered two drinks. Second drinks were rarely offered, and guests couldn’t always self-serve as drinks and alcohol were obviously kept behind a closed bar.
We were also extremely disappointed by the lack of consideration for our daughter. We were frequently seated at two-seater tables. She was never offered a drink, and a place setting was never provided for her. We repeatedly had to take cutlery and crockery from other tables once guests had finished, just so she could eat properly.
One evening we did receive noticeably better service and tipped the waiter accordingly. It later became clear it was for a customer survey and he wanted us to mention his name. The following nights, service returned to its usual poor standard.
*Unsupervised Children*
On another occasion, children repeatedly rang our door buzzer. After the second time, we went out and firmly asked them to stop as our daughter was sleeping. They rang it again anyway and were also ringing other people's buzzers. Unfortunately, many of the children staying at the hotel seemed to have very little respect for other guests, and this lack of consideration often appeared to be mirrored by their parents. It really detracted from the overall atmosphere of the resort.
*Shops & Persistent Sellers*
There are a number of small shops within the hotel grounds. Some sellers are very persistent, frequently trying to sell camel milk products. Sellers also approach you around the pool while you’re trying to relax and even on the beach. It’s difficult to truly unwind when you constantly feel on edge, repeatedly declining sales pitches from your sunbed from shop sellers, spa representatives and local children, while spending time with your family. On the beach, groups of children approached us two or three times a day selling bracelets. They are apparently not permitted to be there, and lifeguards sometimes chase them away.
*Weather & General Atmosphere*
The weather during our stay was mixed. The wind could be strong at times, making it chilly and uncomfortable, but when it dropped, the warmth and sunshine was lovely.
- simoncamm3 (2/5): Staff rude - Staff rude and not helpfull, Yousef was a real piece of work and just annoying to say the least
- andrewlZ9363WM (10/5): Mm - 5stars very good hotel the pools are very good and the food is very nice Staff are amazing I would definitely recommend it
I would definitely come back
- Chrissy001birmingham (6/5): Decent for a quick break from reality - The major thing for me is the staff at this resort- they really look after you in all bars, restaurants and pools. A credit to the hotel.
The rooms are also nice- really spacious with a massive balcony and super comfortable bed.
The food really wasn't for us. Didn't enjoy the buffet and found it difficult to put together a meal we enjoyed. From the a la carte- the Indian was really nice and the American dinner was ok. We ended up using hard rock for 2 evening meals- which was amazing.
The cocktails were extremely syrup based which isnt to my taste but the beer was good and spirits with standard mixers was fine.
The major problem we had was the wind in the evening which I appreciate has absolutely nothing to do with the hotel but the 2 main bar areas are high up and made sitting outside in an evening impossible. Some sort of wind breaker is really all they can do about that though and again the wind isnt a refection on the hotel but do pack for cole weather if you want to sit outside in one of those bars in an evening.
I enjoyed the break away from reality but the food and cocktails not too my personal taste.
- TillyBonnet (10/5): Perfect for Winter sun - I went with a fellow single mum and her teenage daughters over February half term. We left England on a vile, rainy, grey day and 5 hours later steped into the warmth of Sharm El Sheik. We had two rooms with an interjoining door between them so could share the space or have some privacy which worked really well. My priority was diving and snorkelling which is not the most straight forward from this resort. The sea is very shallow and is still waist deep at the end of the jetty. Despite it being sandy with some sea grass we saw: Picasso Triggerfish, eels, Puffer fish, cornet fish, butterfly fish, lion fish and an eagle ray!
The Aquarius Dive centre is on the beach and from there we booked some diving. A taxi collected us in the morning and took us a 15-min drive to the Coral Sea Sensatori Resort. From here we could dive or snorkel on the house reef or get a speed boat to the reefs around Tiran Island. We also booked a dive/snorkel boat to Ras Mohammed national park which was amazing.
My friend and her daughters were not divers so they sunned themselves on the beach and flirted outrageously with the bar staff. As a whole, we had a fabulous holiday and couldn't fault it.
- Giuseppe (10/5): Ritornerò sicuramente - Tutto Gli oratori di chiusura della cena troppo presto
- 94leen (10/5): Coral Sea Holiday Resort - Sharm el-Sheik - The Holiday Village was excellent. We visited the sister hotel the Aqua park Coral Sea which was average but can confidently say this resort which is across the road is far superior.
Rooms - Had a family room, very spacious and a separate section for my daughter complete with proper bed and settee.
Bathroom/Shower room very clean and again plenty of room.
Beds were super comfy and extra large so no issues at all room wise.
Food
Breakfast - plenty of choice and fresh eggs if required. All fresh fruit available.
Lunch - Really good. The buffet had plenty of choice but we generally ate at the Greek Restaurant which becomes a lunch a la carte. The food there was super quick and very good.
Evening Meal - All the a la cartes were good, our preference was definitely the Asian. Hot food and plentiful.
The complex is very clean and the staff were brilliant. Special shout outs to:
Mohammed - Sports Bar
Waled - Restaurants
Weather - Perfect 26-28 degrees everyday
Location - Excellent. 15 mins from the airport. Bang on the beachfront.
Overall very very good and see no reason why we won't return for more winter sun late 2026 or early 2027
- S9781MBcaseyd (10/5): Kids club - The girl from kids club shanai was lovely and Frances really enjoyed her days with her would defonatly reccomend x
- ALİ İLHAN (7/5): - 2105 nolu kapı kesinlikle bozuk
- 364chantelt (10/5): Beautiful family resort with excellent service — a few areas for improvement - Beautiful family resort with excellent service — a few areas for improvement
This hotel and resort is absolutely beautiful. We had a fantastic 11-night stay pre and during the February half term with our two young children (aged 4 and 8), and I would say this resort is perfect for a family holiday.
The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. From reception to waiters, bar staff and housekeeping, everyone went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The customer service throughout was excellent. In particular, the entertainment team were wonderful — especially Shanai from the kids’ club and entertainment team, who made a huge difference to our experience. She was so warm and engaging, and both our children absolutely adored her.
The only downside to the kids’ club is the lack of facilities. It has a great space with two large rooms, but there were limited activities and equipment available. Crafts were offered most days, but there wasn’t much variety beyond that. For a five-star resort, it would be great to see more games, toys and organised activities to make fuller use of the space, also some tighter security measures could be in place for busier periods.
The food was one of the highlights of our stay. We have been on several all-inclusive holidays in four- and five-star resorts, and this was easily one of the best food experiences we’ve had. We visited four of the included à la carte restaurants — Greek, American, Indian and East Asian — and all had a lovely atmosphere/ decor and good service. While the food wasn’t particularly authentic to each cuisine, it was still very tasty with a good range of options, and it was nice to experience different restaurant settings throughout the week.
Booking the à la carte restaurants was extremely easy using a touchscreen in the lobby. We never struggled to get reservations and never had to wait for a table.
The main buffet restaurant was always clean and well organised, with attentive drink service and plenty of choice. There was even a dedicated children’s section with lower counters so they could serve themselves, which was a lovely touch. Multiple microwaves were available, though the food was consistently hot and fresh anyway.
For lunch, there is also a separate restaurant near the pool and beach serving pizza, burgers and pasta, with a rotating menu so it didn’t feel repetitive. Overall, the food across the resort was very good — especially for an all-inclusive.
One downside is that there are gaps during the day when no food is available. For example, if you miss lunch (which ends at 3pm), there is nothing available until the snack bar opens at 4pm. With young children especially, this can be inconvenient, so it would be helpful if light snacks were available throughout the day.
We were initially concerned about illness, as we had heard this can sometimes be an issue in Egypt, but none of us became unwell during our stay, and the resort appeared very clean with strong hygiene standards throughout.
Drinks were also very good — strong cocktails, a good selection, and staff were happy to make off-menu requests.
The rooms were excellent. We stayed in a Kids Den room, which was extremely spacious with a beautiful sea view. The children had their own separate sleeping area just off our bedroom, which worked perfectly for a family stay. The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained.
You can also access the aqua park across the road, which is literally just opposite the resort and very easy to reach. It has a good range of slides and water attractions and was a real highlight for our children. I would say it is more suited to younger children rather than teenagers — our 8-year-old was able to go on everything, and there was plenty of choice for our 4-year-old too.
The hotel’s location is fantastic — only about a 15–20 minute drive from the airport. There are shops just outside the resort, including convenience stores and gift shops, and further along there is a McDonald’s, KFC and a Hard Rock Cafe within walking distance. We visited Soho Square one evening by taxi (around 20 minutes away), which has lots of shops, restaurants, entertainment and a small funfair for children — a great evening out.
Taxis on the main road were significantly cheaper than those offered in the hotel lobby; we paid around 800 Egyptian pounds for a return journey.
There are also plenty of excursions available. We did the desert safari with Jeep and sand buggy rides, which we highly recommend.
Wi-Fi coverage throughout the resort was good, including in the rooms and public areas.
One practical point to note is that there was no iron or ironing board in our room, but reception will provide one on request.
Beach towels are delivered and changed in your room rather than collected from a poolside towel hut. We had to request replacements a few times as they were not always automatically changed. Personally, I would prefer a towel station by the pool where you can swap them as needed, as waiting for delivery can be inconvenient — on one occasion our replacement towels arrived at 11pm, which seemed quite unusual.
If I had one major criticism, it would be the evening entertainment. Although the entertainment team work hard and are full of energy, the programme itself felt limited for a resort of this size and rating. There were few external performers, and the shows became repetitive over an 11-night stay. The nightly kids’ disco was fun and our children loved it, but again it was quite repetitive.
Overall, this is a beautiful resort with outstanding staff, great food, excellent family rooms and a fantastic location. With a stronger evening entertainment programme, improved kids’ club facilities and more continuous food availability during the day, it would easily be a five-star experience.
We had a wonderful holiday and would happily return.
- Una123 (8/5): Good Hotel - Positives
Attractive well maintained grounds
Decent comfortable sunbeds (and no problems getting one in February)
Communal areas very clean
Helpful staff (super attentive after tips)
Family room with jacuzzi bath very spacious and well located for the kids pool and beach
Gym has new equipments and is very good for a hotel.
Spa treatments were very high quality and worth the price.
Tennis court/ football court (extra one on grass at the beach)/basketball court
Bottled water easily available
Decent soft drinks (branded coke/sprite/fabta)
Negatives
Food was ok but lunch and dinner were very repetitive. There is always plain pasta and pizza, but super fussy kids might struggle.Breakfast decent.
Tennis hire equipment very poor
Never had enough towels left and had to constantly request more
Evening entertainment lacking
Overall this is a good hotel and we enjoyed using the slides in the sister hotel across the road (glad we didn’t stay there though the pool scene is much better where we booked)
Perhaps because of the time of the year, the daytime and evening entertainment was pretty non existent and nothing for teenagers. We made our own fun and played a lot of cards. We would return because the cleanliness, pool, beach and rooms are nice but probably only if at a bargain price for some winter sun.
- torc2025 (10/5): A great Feb half term break in the sunshine - We had a great week away! The hotel was lovely, great location by the beach. I loved the grounds, very lush!
We ate at all the restaurants and all were good. Nice having the variety and different settings. We paid extra for a bottle of wine in the evenings. (£15)
Great pools. Yes the big one is cold in Feb but we still swam in it. The activity pool next to it is heated so great for the kids. We never had a problem getting sunloungers either.
Our son (6) loved the kids club. Big shout out to Shenai. She was so welcoming and even when it was only him she kept him entertained :) Her face painting skills need a special mention!
It’s a great set up with flexible drop off/pick up times, and nice it’s close to the pools so you can check if needed.
The kids disco at 8.30pm was another highlight, again with Shanai, all the kids loved dancing with her!
We’d defo recommend the hotel and would return for winter sun again.
- ANNE060856 (10/5): Rebooked - Excellent hotel and amenities, cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in and staff so on the ball.
- Happytravellers890 (6/5): A device could be better - Recommended by family member who visited 4 years ago however standard has deteriorated significantly.
Reception staff unfriendly and unhelpful, no greeting or information given (map info about restaurants need anctivits or entertainment when checking) and when asking questions they seem like it’s an inconvenience to them. Most staff on phone especially buggy guys who did not want to take us despite travelling with elderly mothers and kids. Bar staff at pool also miserable and look like they don’t want to be there.
Family rooms are spacious but outdated and no lift which makes it difficult with pushchair.
Grounds very well maintained and hotel has potential to be great but let down by service.
Good choice of à la carte restaurants and grounds maintained. Staff restaurant in main restaurant are great not so much à la carte American diner or Greek restaurant.
Hotel could be improved by better customer service and this really lets it down. Would not return to this hotel as there are better ones out there. Sharm itself is lovely but shame standards here are not maintained.
- ezequielgH3082KJ (10/5): Half term family holiday - We had a fantastic week at Coral Sea Holiday Resort, went for half term with the family. The hotel is very good, staff is super friendly and helpful, food selection and quality were very good.
Special mention to Shanai from the animation team, she ran the kid’s club and disco. Our children were delighted with her and couldn’t wait to join her every day. She even came to say bye on our last day to the main door. She’s definitely an asset to the team.
We would definitely coming back.
- marinatopcic-garcia (10/5): Family holiday - It was our first time in Shalm el Sheikh and we could not be more happy and satisfied than we were with all service at Coral Sea holiday resort. All staff were just so amazing and friendly. Kids loved kids club and were so happy to join Shanai during kids club and mini disco. She was great in engagement and kids just loved to spend time with her. She was very energetic and positive. We all were very sorry to leave this amazing place.
- C6517JGhelenw (10/5): Great Family Holiday at Coral Sea Hotel, Sharm - We had a really lovely stay at the Coral Sea Hotel in Sharm. The staff were brilliant throughout our visit — friendly, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile.
A special mention to Anwar and Mahmoud in the restaurant, who consistently made us feel welcome. Shanai in the kids’ club was also fantastic. She was very approachable and came up with fun, creative activities that the children genuinely enjoyed. They looked forward to seeing her each day for crafts and the mini disco.
The food was varied and clearly labelled, which was especially helpful for coeliac options. Our room was also surprisingly spacious and worked perfectly for our family of five.
Overall, it was a great stay and we’d happily recommend Coral Sea to other families visiting Sharm.
- Cees (8/5): - Variatie van eten en vriendelijkheid personeel. Bereikbaarheid van vliegveld. Er is geen snorkelmogelijkheid vanaf het strand.

- Culture41120281890 (10/5): Brilliant hotel and amazing staff. - We went to coral sea holiday resort and aqua park in Egypt for the first time we've been to this hotel and it was brilliant the
staff was so nice and welcoming and the animation team was so lovely especially Ali he was so funny and so kind and he made are holiday so fun. the
entertainment was brilliant every night and the activities in the day at the pool and beach which was so good and fun.the sea was so clear and you could see all the fish and the beach was so clean. The food was so nice especially the bamboo restaurant and the drinks was so nice and refreshing.and the room was so cozy and comfortable and the cleaners were brilliant they cleaned the room so good and it was so clean everyday and all of the hotel was so clean and comfortable. Even tho there was reconstruction and building we didn't have a problem with it. It was not loud or noisy at all. The location was perfect you could see the sea view from are balcony which was amazing and the location was just brilliant. I would 100% recommend this hotel it is amazing.
- rohinp2023 (10/5): Fantastic resort in sharm El sheikh! 10/10 - We booked this resort thinking that it would we cold as we went in February. We flew from Luton with easyJet which was about a 4.40 min flight. We saw many reviews saying that the arrivals and departures in sharm was a nightmare due to the amount of security checks. upon arrival we have around 3 passport checks( didn't take long). Bag pickup was quick and the transfer to the resort took 13 minutes! we were welcomed swiftly and shown to our room which was nice and spacious however it is a bit dingy with all the yellow light and minimal windows. The beds were comfy enough. The size of the resort was perfect and much bigger than we thought.
Beach: Many of the reviews we read said that the beach has no actual sand and it's very coarse and hard to walk on. We had the complete opposite experience! there was orangey powdery sand closer to the ocean which was immaculately clear and blue. the sand closer to the resort was a bit dense and hard to walk on but once you get near the ocean it becomes nice and soft. the water can sometimes go out quite far which is why there is a large jetty to walk up. When you look over both sides of the jetty you see all sorts of wildlife such as stingrays and lionfish(careful cos they're deadly). it was so pretty. The water was bluer than the Caribbean! at the end of the jetty there is a place where you can swim aswell which is amazing. there are many loungers on the beach which was nice. many had windbreakers which was useful aswell. the beach bar is very good too! it is in the shape of a lighthouse which is cool.
Pool: as we went in Feb the pool as you can imagine was quite cold. The main pool was not heated though few people still got in including usm However there is another pool closer to reception called the quiet pool which is heated however it is very boring as there's no music. There is also another pool called the activity pool nearer to the main pool which was also heated which was much more lively and fun! it was a bit smaller tho. The pool bar was very good however the service at the activity pool bar and beach bar was a bit iffy. the servers were a bit rude and abrupt so expect it. In many resorts people have to wake up early to find loungers. not the case here! you could get out at 1pm and half of the loungers would be empty! it was so so so quiet!
Entertainment: here is where it goes downhill. The entertainment is absolutely dire. it is degrading and sexist! on the first night, the guy pulled up four middle aged women to the stage and asked them to belly dance Infront of him! Some of the nights it was okay like they had this tanoura dancer who has this skirt that comes off and it lights up and it spins etc. it was very cool!! outside the actual entertainment place there is this wonderful bar where you can play games like cards etc. it's a very nice atmosphere.
Specialty restaurants: they have Indian ( sari), Chinese (bamboo), American(diner), greek (taverna). we tried all of them and we have to say that the greek and American were the best. the Chinese wasn't very good and the Indian was alright. The service was amazing and quick and the food was of good quality!
main buffet: The food was the same every night pretty much but it was very good still!! they have very good quality food and most of all it was CLEAN!! we went to cape verde where the food was dirty and there were flies everywhere. here there was none of that. they have food being cooked right Infront of you. the egg station is amazing aswell. poached eggs were amazing. There was plenty of space to sit and eat and the drinks are very good. the deserts and pastries and biscuits are amazing!!
gardens: absolutely stunning. We have been to rixos hotels before and I have to say that the resort is up to par with some of them. it's absolutely immaculate! it's gorgeous and the palm trees are stunning.
bugs: we heard that many people were getting bitten by mosquitos and they recommended OFF spray and feet. It works!! we got ZERO bites! and it doesn't smell too bad tbh. Don't wear aftershave as it attracts mosquitos. There were barely any flies and other bugs, honestly it was one of the best places I've ever been to.
The main reception was very good and respectful
be sure to book the specialty restaurants as soon as you land and get to the resort.
DEFINITELY RECOMMEND PEOPLE TO COME AS ITS THE PERFECT CHEAP WINTER SUN DESTINATION!
- jessicajB1906WG (10/5): 10/10 for everything - Excellent Resort and location! The atmosphere in the hotel was also great, always some sort of entertainment going on! The rooms were spacious and always clean thanks to the cleaners and we always had something cool to come back to at the end of the day! The food selection was also excellent. All of the staff were super friendly and always keen to look after you and help. The animation team were fab, getting you involved in lots of activities and always chatty and friendly.
- amyhH9663XH (10/5): Fantastic holiday in a fantastic hotel - I have just retuned from Coral Sea hotel, holidaying with family and 6 year old daughter. Absolutely brilliant time had by all, hard to find a fault. The staff were all fantastic, pleasant and attentive and would go the extra mile to make the holiday enjoyable. Too many names to shout out to all but a special mention to Shanai from kids club who made our daughters time more memorable. The grounds are absolutely impeccable, food is exceptional, in the buffet restaurant especially. Only slight criticism is that the steak restaurant is advertised as being a ‘supplement’ whereas when we sat down to eat we were told that everything is charged at full price. It’s a shame we missed the bbq night in the main restaurant as we had a reservation at the Greek taverna, so maybe some more advertising of themed nights would be good. The gym is great too. Would absolutely return in a heartbeat.
- Vacation32710682744 (10/5): Perfect vacation! Enjoyed every moment! - An excellent hotel! Very clean, beautiful, and welcoming. The staff works impeccably: everyone was extremely kind, polite, and genuinely dedicated to making us feel happy and satisfied. It was our first time in Egypt, and thanks to this hotel, we will definitely return – and of course, we will choose this hotel again.
We also really enjoyed the other guests at the hotel – most of them were English, Italian and some Lithuanians, which created a very pleasant atmosphere.
We made great use of the new, modern gym facilities. At the SPA center, we experienced a Turkish bath and a massage – we absolutely loved it! Highly recommended.
- Stuart60g (8/5): Have stayed at the hotel before - Service in bar areas has certainly declined from last trip. Both in bar and pool waiting time to be served can be a hit and miss affair
Numerous times waiters stood around chatting to each other rather than serving drinks
Staff in restaurant areas have been excellent helpful and friendly
Hotel still very clean and choice of food and restaurants great.
- Y6226DFsimonh (10/5): Wow what a hotel - Wasn’t sure on this hotel but what can I say absolutely amazing
Rooms are big booked a swim up room wish we didn’t as it’s freezing
Stayed round quite pool as it’s heated
Staff can’t do enough for you always attentive and have a laugh
Main restaurant quality of food is amazing so much to choose from
Outside the hotel turn right and you’ll find an asda with the owner called Sam
What can I say he has everything you need in his shop such a laugh Go visit Him
Visited soho found that was a let down went for 3 hrs bored after an hr
Used falcon adventures across from the hotel highly recommend
Holiday already booked for next February
Same hotel
- Luving-retirement (8/5): Not so great with teenage kids - great for younger families - The resort is two facilities separated by a road - the “Coral Sea Holiday Resort” is much larger and has direct beach access - whilst the beach is sand it is more like builders sand so don’t think you’ll create any fancy sandcastles. The “Resort” is vaste, we stayed at the smaller “Coral Sea Aqua Club”.
My review is about the Coral Sea Aqua Club which is certainly large enough. It has 3 separate water slides sections (each with multiple water slides) - catering for (1) toddlers / pre-school age (2) aged 5 to 10 and (3) over 10’s and adults. There are enough slides for there to be little or no queues with plenty of tubes / mats to slide on.
In addition there is a wave pool where the wave machine goes on every hour for about 20 minutes (ordinary pool between), a 1.4 mtr deep heated pool (large) and a surf simulator that is suitable for aged 5 to adult.
All the water feature areas are well staffed with competent and friendly lifeguards.
Ample sunbeds, we always found where we wanted. 2 pool side bars. All areas had attentive and very helpful staff.
From the pool area there are a couple of food areas which you can eat at or take away, with a very varied (and seemingly continuous) supply of food and drinks.
There is a main restaurant (plus an Asian and American a-la-carte which you can use once each during your stay). The main restaurant is buffet style and has a very comprehensive selection, with a kiddie section with lower counters for little hands to get stuck in to self service - it got cleaned continuously!! We never got that “same-old same old” feeling you get at some all-inclusives - they really did vary the food with big choices. Restaurant staff were all very helpful and table clearing / setting was very efficient.
The evenings entertainment was restricted. The main terrace bar we would end up at (spray up against mozzies though). The lounge bar was ok until 10pm which is when live music would start. The performers were ok and not the problem, it was the acoustics. The sound of the music, singing and general back ground noise made conversation virtually impossible. There is also the Sports Bar which is basically an inside bar with a pool table and some TV’s - no character.
Locally there are loads of shops selling pretty much the same (fake) merchandise.
We did 3 trips, quad bikes (1/2 day), cruise / snorkelling (full day), city tour (1/2 day). All were well organised and very interesting and I would say good value.
Overall the Coral Sea Aqua Club gave our group of 12 (2 grand-parents, 4 parents and 6 kids) a good holiday. With 4 kids aged 13 to 16 there was no teenager “hangout area” so that was a struggle and the hotel would do well to address this.
The only annoying criticism was with 2 rooms with 5 in each there were beds for 6 but only bedding for 4. With a late night arrival this was not what anyone wanted and the reception staff were not prompt in dealing with the problem, not a good way to start the holiday.
Overall the rooms are very generous in their proportions. Plenty of clothes space and family rooms sleeping 6 have 2 bedrooms, a separate lounge with sofa-beds and 2 bathrooms.
- george29575 (8/5): Lovely hotel for some winter sun - We had a lovely time here for a week. As everyone has said staff, rooms, food and grounds and activities on offer are great. I just wanted to add if you just want peace and quiet that is available too. The quiet pool is heated and as the name suggests is very quiet, the lifeguards monitor this fairly and will remind people to keep the noise down. Areas around the resort to meet all needs for most people i would think.
We would come back if the price was right as the weather for February was amazing.
Airport on the way in was fine but in the way back felt a little chaotic with not much signage or order but stay clam and it’s all fine.
Mossies- I get bitten always BUT I used OFF spray (bought on Amazon before I went) and I don’t have one bite!
- mrn110 (10/5): Lovely stay at Coral Sea Holiday Resort - We’ve just returned from a fantastic family holiday at Coral Sea Holiday Resort in Sharm El Sheikh, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. The resort itself was beautiful, clean, and perfectly set up for families, with great pools, lovely food, and friendly staff throughout.
A very special mention has to go to Shanai, who ran the kids’ club and animation team. She was absolutely amazing with our girls — so warm, energetic, and genuinely caring. They looked forward to seeing her every single day and loved all the activities she organised. She truly made our holiday extra special and gave us parents a chance to relax knowing they were having the best time.
Thank you for such wonderful memories — we would happily return!
- konstantinv976 (10/5): Family vacation at the Coral Sea Aquapark Hotel - Our stay at this hotel with a water park left us with the warmest and most vivid memories! The grounds are well-maintained, the rooms are comfortable, and the water park is a true delight not only for children but also for adults. The slides, pools, and atmosphere of genuine fun made our vacation unforgettable.
I'd like to especially highlight the work of the animation team. Kristina and Nastya are true professionals! They create an incredibly friendly and fun atmosphere, know how to approach each guest, and fill them with positivity for the entire day. Thanks to them, the children were constantly occupied with exciting games and activities, and the adults also enjoyed participating in the programs.I'd like to highlight the face painting separately; the girls are simply masters; my son ran every day for new drawings.
Thanks to all the staff for their care, attention, and excellent organization of the vacation. We would happily return here again and will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and acquaintances!
- rtc1957 (8/5): Ongoing refurbishment works - We love this hotel have had a great holiday a few years ago. Last Saturday (2 days ago) we booked a last minute holiday to come back arriving next Sunday. Today, TUI have emailed us to say that we can expect some noise and disruption due to ongoing refurbishment works in the lobby and Greek restaurant (surely TUI knew about these works 2 days ago). Can anyone tell us how bad the noise is and whether we need to avoid any particular bedroom blocks that may be close to the works. Thanks in advance.
- kathf738 (10/5): Hotel spotless food and beverages great but best part was the staff they were AMAZING the pool lifeguards were fantastic - The hotel is Amazing spotlessly clean great food but best part was the staff so friendly made everyone welcome daily we will be back
- deb80law (8/5): Mixed views but great winter sun - Just back after a week at the Aqua club hotel.
Mixed feelings about this place, but this is down to our preference and not the hotel.
Pros
2 heated pools
Staff are helpful and super friendly
Can use hotel across the road
Clean rooms and facilities
Kids disco
Down side
Entertainment in the evening is a little poor with bad lighting
Mosquitos are horrendous
Can't use hotel across the road during the evening
Swim up pools and kids pools not heated
Limited outdoor areas
Building work next door was really noisy
Spa was a bit dated
We found the hotel small and wouldn't want to be there when it's summer months. We missed the beach too on a complex
However, what made this holiday was our 4 year old having the best time.
Mimi from kids club is such an asset to this hotel. Her love and dedication to what she does really shines through and our little girl fell in love with her, making our break a little more restful. Thank you Mimi for what you do and how you make fun for the children. You were and are a real ⭐
Anastasia and Kristina were also great fun, the kids disco was another winner and again the kids loved the attention and fun they had.
Not sure we would return to this hotel, only because of what we've mentioned but overall it was a nice break
- alexism886 (8/5): Wonderful holiday - We have just returned from our "familymooon" and had a wonderful time. A very beautiful hotel, with very lovely staff. Exceptional clean! Although we have never used them before, my daughter did ask to go into the kids club as she really liked one of the team, Shanai, they formed a lovely bond in just a few days! My daughter had face paint and did craft and of course danced the night away at the mini disco too!

- M4732MBsharonc (10/5): A great week away in the warm. - This is a lovely clean hotel, the hotel staff are all friendly and polite from garden maintenance to waiters and reception staff. Always ready to help.
We stayed in block 6 where Syead was taking care of housekeeping he did an exceptional job brought us clean pool towels every evening and always asking if there was anything else we needed. Thank you Syead.
- P9733AMbrianp (4/5): Manager brings staff down - Typical Egyptian hotel staff generally good but manger was no good at all.basically call you a liar whennit dnt suit him not impressed with his attitude at all spoils the hotel shouldn't be working there brings the staff down !!!
- F90YFdavidf (10/5): Great family holiday - After many years of avoiding Egypt becuase of the usual bad rep that many people seem to give the place, we decided on a Christmas / New Year break. It did not dissapoint.
The hotel is immaculatey kept, clean and tidy, gardens perfectly maintained.
The staff are what really makes it. So helpful, friendly and always smiling. 1 bar tender in particular goes the extra mile, Romany. Excellent service, always happy, great with our kids.
Food is really good, good selection at all meal times. Can be a little tricky for children, as there wasnt much selection for them.
Entertainment is possibly the only negative i can find. Evening times it wasnt great, mini disco was the same songs day after day. Music around the main and activity pools can be over powering at times. I enjoy music around the pool but for a couple of hours every day its far too loud.
New years eve... epic! The event they put on was superb frim beginning to end. Ine of the best holidays we have had as a family.
We would 100% return to Sharm. But try a different hotel, but only because we dont like to stay at the same place twice.

- mariebJ39IG (10/5): Winter sun ☀️ - This was our 3rd stay at this beautiful hotel & we’ll be returning again next January 😊
For winter sun, I could not recommend this place highly enough.
Every member of staff from reception to cleaners go out of their way to ensure you are so well looked after & have an amazing holiday.
The grounds are immaculate, food in the main buffet restaurant is varied & hot & I would also recommend visiting all the al a carté restaurants ( you are entitled a visit to all 4 during your weeks stay) the choice is excellent & service very attentive. You can book these on the two electronic information boards in reception ( one on the first floor one down the reception stairs).
We had a swim up room for the first time this year, which was lovely, although the water was cold but ok once you were brave enough to get in!
The rooms are huge with a walk in wardrobe. The sockets are limited but we learnt this from last year & took an exertion lead with us.
Hanni from the pool bar made sure we were kept hydrated 😂 & frequently bought drinks to our swim up room.
Each year we have returned the hotel has made improvements, this year the entertainment room had been refurbished to a high standard & the Greek beach restaurant was being renovated, can’t wait to that next year.
We met some lovely people again this year & many returning guests which speaks for itself.
