Guest Reviews
- Leigh (8/5): We had a quiet but most enjoyable stay. - Style, location, cleanliness. Nil
- Ann (10/5): The perfect home-away-from-home - A beautifully restored and appointed cottage. A very comfortable home away from home with everything we could want. Spotlessly clean, very well equipped. Our friendly host delivered freshly baked hot Cross buns on Good Friday! Set in a peaceful heritage town. Nothing! Wished we could have stayed longer.
- Donald (10/5): -
- Peter (10/5): Arendon is a lovely place to stay, in every respect. - The location is great, right in the beautiful Evandale heritage area. Close to a couple of lovely cafes, and two excellent pubs. Also an ideal starting point to exploring the northern part of Tasmania. At night it was very very quiet, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The shower and bathroom facilities are first rate and there are some thoughtful facilities such as night lights and a shower rail that we appreciated. Our host was nearby and available straight away to assist or answer any enquiries. Aesthetically the cottage is beautiful. Our week there was memorable, Arendon is highly recommended! There is nothing we didn't like.
- glenn (9/5): Comfortable - Home from home Bit pricey
- JAMES (10/5): A place I would re-visit - Charming place, feels homely and warm. The owners go the extra mile to make sure their guests are comfortable. If you stay on a Saturday then enjoy the big market 100metres away, or one of 2 amazing pubs within easy walking distance. Public transport available . No food delivery to this location.
- Carol (10/5): Beautiful heritage cottage in a perfect location in town. Owners wer e personable and absolutely lovely! Great communica - What a beautiful little house! On the main street so you can go for a stroll to the shops and to look at all the other beautiful heritage homes and their gardens. Very walkable. All the residences amenities looked new - and the owners had put their personal touches on it for our stay which was so generous and lovely. Would highly recommend. Nothing.
I cane with my mother and we both loved it.

- Maria (8/5): A very elegant and charming, well-appointed stay in the heart of Evandale. - The hosts were very welcoming, with nice touches such as turning the heating on for your arrival, providing home-baked bread with butter, and a Tasmanian bottled full-cream milk. The cottage was spotless and looked newly renovated. The furnishings were tasteful, and the bed was exceptionally cosy. Overall, a comfortable and pleasant experience. Parking in the street.

The information that the hosts gave us to enter the house was ever so easy. The location was easy to Evandale Village and a short drive to historical landmarks. The quaint cottage was adorably decorated, warm heating made it even cosier. definitely would stay here again. N/A

- Martin (8/5): Great intro to Tas our first night. As good as we'd hoped for. - Beautiful, fully contained home with separate lounge, kitchen and bathroom away from bedroom. But noisy sheets and proximity to a main road through Evandale. Nice courtyard but no barbecue. Bed a bit short for 6ft3in guest. But no complaints. We'd stay here again like a shot. Thank you. Loved the general store a short walk away. See above
- Merryl (10/5): Lovely historical cottage b n b - It is a lovely well set up cottage in walking distance of the village stores n pubs. It is 10mins from the airport n central to going to all directions of Tasi. The hosts are lovely..beautiful roses, great shower and very comfortable.

- Cslk669 (10/5): Come and stay and you'll know how lovely this place is - Super fantastic and lovely. The cottage was so cute, sparkling clean and well equipped. It has a vintage taste and yet, its bathroom is modern. You could feel history in the bedroom, home in the living room, friendliness in the dining room and trendiness in the bathroom. The little garden is an added asset for sure. The hosts, Andrea and Alexander, are really friendly and helpful. You don't really need to worry about anything. Just ask and they'll help and explain! All in all, we enjoyed our stay and loved everything!!! I don't think anyone would complain anything! Just a couple reminders - only instant coffee was provided so you may need to buy or bring ground coffee yourself if that's your concern (there's a French press in the kitchen, plus a lovely cafe nearby, though). Also, no facial tissues in the cottage and so you may need to prepare some for your own convenience. But those are NOT things we don't like. We'd highly recommend this place to anyone!!!!

- Levett (10/5): A getaway back in time. - We love Evandale and always stop for an hour or two if we are passing through. This time I decided we would book a stay for a couple of days. The lovely homely feel of the place, right down to the home baked biscuits waiting for us on arrival. Everything that you need for a self contained accommodation. Modern spacious bathroom facilities,, outside courtyard sitting area. We had a meal at the Prince of Wales Hotel at good prices. A great home base for some day trips around the area. Nothing

Definitely recommended.

The outdoor garden area was great; beautiful plants, nice sitting area and private. It was a joy to enjoy a meal with friends in the garden.
The cottage was only a short walk to the shops and the Sunday markets.
Could not have found a better place to stay. Nothing
- Joel (10/5): Fabulous stay in a great quiet village near Launceston - A fabulous cottage on a main street in a very quiet village. Sunday mornings are the noisiest when people are walking to the market about 100 metres up the road! It had all the facilities you need for a couple for a long or short stay. A short walk to the village shop and two hotels as well as other shops and attractions. !n 15 to 20 minutes you can be in the centre of Launceston or its suburbs! There was nothing not to like other than having to leave to head back to the mainland! :( ;( Oh well that's life.
- Roslyn (9/5): Superb -
- Phil (9/5): Superb - Extremely clean, good location, had great character and a good size cottage. Bathroom and Kitchen facilities were exceptional. It would be nice to have a queen bed and a upgrade with the lounge. Low door ways were hard to get use too. ( under 6ft clearance)
- Shirley (8/5): Had a great stay Karen was a lovely friendly lady - Everything was good close to the shops hotel Nil
- Anne (9/5): Central location. Spotlessly clean, well presented, heritage cottage in a beautiful little village. - The recent renovations of the kitchen laundry and bathroom had really brought this heritage property into the 21st century. The hot plate probably required an exhaust fan for cooking though. The big washer dryer and outside sunny line were excellent to banish the bag of dirty washing. There was no breakfast provided which surprised us as so many of the reviews commented on the breakfast.
- Neil (10/5): If you’re looking at staying Evandale, book this place, you won’t be disappointed. - We loved everything about this beautiful house Leaving it.

- Derek (9/5): Perfect quiet area for snuggling. - Such a beautiful cottage suitable for couples or a small family. Incredible location and very friendly hosts. Lovely touches such as fresh flowers and so much food for breakfasts. Too much for me to eat. I didn't like that I broke a glass - but I replaced it with four more.

- Joanne (10/5): Brilliant!! - Arendon cottage was just perfect, great location, immaculate, good value for money, such a gorgeous town!!
- Robin (10/5): Wonderful cottage with all the home comforts - Great place with all the home comforts. Breakfast provisions were a bonus and there was plenty for our 5 night stay. The cottage was roomy (except for main bedroom) and the kitchen had all the requirements to whip a meal. Cottage has been very tastefully renovated. There was a private area outside as well. Evandale is an interesting historical location as well as being conveniently located near sights of Launceston. Understandable in a cottage main bedroom not very roomy hence only a double bed.
- Annette (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was continental with some eggs to cook ourselves and lovely bread. It was all we needed. The cottage was so comfy and homely that we didnt want to leave . We woudnt have changed a thing. We didnt like packing up and leaving to fly home.
