Guest Reviews
- james (7/5): - great property but dont leave 1/2 use toilet paper as the 2 rolls available. Great spot but rhe the shoes off was kinda weird. Great space other than the mattressess mattresses, toilet paper, shoe policy
- Kristina (10/5): - The property is a little worn than the pictures show, but it gives it charm, and nicer than the last 2 I stayed at. I imagined sitting fireside on a cold winter's day, and I that it would be perfect for that. The open space was amazing for a family get-together, and the deck and seating outside were sufficient for everyone to sit and talk. I would definitely stay there again when I have time to relax and enjoy the area.
- Dennis (2/5): - This is a classic example of a of misrepresented property online with enhanced photos. I booked two nights and was forced to stay the first night due to a very late arrival and no options to leave that night. Had I arrived in the afternoon I would have turned around and left immediately. Even though I prepaid two nights I left first thing the next morning. The master bathroom toilet was non functional and had exposed wiring at an electrical outlet. The dishwasher was flooded with water. The furnishings in the cabin were shockingly dated. The main living couch did not look like it was from the 60s it looked like it was pulled from a dumpster in the 60s and placed in the cabin. The cabin was terribly unkept and poorly maintained. Cobwebs all over the ceilings and vents. This cabin is no where near the standards of a rental property and should not advertised on Expedia. I requested a refund for only the second night since I did not stay, but the property refused. I filed a complaint with Expedia but they also refused saying the would adhere to the properties policy. Very unfortunate. Made a planned nice weekend to Big Bear a disaster. I plan to dispute the charge now with my CC and file a consumer affairs complaint as this property is misrepresented and not properly maintained for rental.
- Lauren (6/5): - Property was very convenient to the village. Easy access to get in. Rooms were well furnished along with kitchen. We noticed it didn’t seem very clean, we had to kill over a dozen spiders and spiderwebs. Could use a deep cleaning.
- Alejandro (10/5): - We loved that it was near to many nice places for entertainment, places were to play with snow. The house was clean and had everything to feel cozy and warm.
- Fernando (10/5): - It was a great experience. The place is very spacious.
- Caroline (10/5): - Walking distance to the snow tube and big bear lake. Very peaceful. House is clean and very spacious.
- LEAH (2/5): - Nice patio. Weeds were 3 feet high. In a fire hazard area in the back yard. BBQ had bird droppings all over it. Spider webs in the windows. No hand towels, no wash cloths. First step going up to door broke. No propane for the bbq since we couldn't use oven.
Had to fight to open shower doors and windows
- Cathryn (4/5): - The inside was clean, but outside of property was horrible. Weeds everywhere even in parking couldn't enjoy out at all even parking was in dirt with fox tails getting stuck in shoes and socks. Bbq area could not be used full of tall weeds and foxtails. Kept sweeping back porch but fox tails were getting stuck o. Rug and furniture. So was disappointed couldn't be outside when inside is warm and uncomfortable. Thermostat set at 70 but was much warmer.
- Schon (10/5): Great - Perfect place for family trip. Beds for everyone with a nice backyard that has a furnished patio. Also close to lake, trails, grocery stores, and snow sledding park.
- XINYAN (10/5): - Nice, spacious and clean. Kids friendly has many books and toys. A big patio and yard. Nice to have BBQ in the yard.
- Malia (10/5): - I rented this house for a binge of friends to stay for our trip to Big Bear for the Oktoberfest. We were elated that our rental was a block away from the location. AMAZING!
- Mia Janelle (8/5): - Huge space, right next to convention center.
- Sophia (8/5): Cute getaway cabin - Cute little cabin, very spacious plenty of room and comfortable. Close to many cute places to eat and all sorts of attractions.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Spacious, clean. Sectional in TV area was worn out.
- Hector (10/5): - Great property and great owners. Owners answer questions rapidly and overall nice people.
- JASON JOHN (6/5): - It was a good size for our family. Appreciate the early accomodation.
Some things that should be improved:
New mattresses and pillows - bed was difficult to lay on, stiff. Some pillows were dirty.
A little more cleanliness.
Disposal of trash was the worst. We followed the address in the welcome binder but when we got there we were rerouted to another location and we had to pay to dispose trash.
- Thanh (10/5): - Spacious and clean inside
- Francisco J (8/5): - It was just ok
- April (10/5): Loved it! - We booked our stay for our one year anniversary and we loved it! Thank you!
- Cesar (10/5): - My family and i had an amazing time going up to big bear our stay was awesome and cozy loved the cabin definitely looking forward to staying at this location in the future. Property owners were very helpful and kind.
- Truc My (10/5): - Spacious
- osvaldo (10/5): - Stayed there for the weekend with my family . The cabin was clean and plenty of space. I also enjoyed the location not far from stores has station .also walking distance from some local Cafe. Overall the cabin was nice clean plenty of space enjoyed the back patio set up I would book this place again.
- Mindy (6/5): Just Okay - The check-in process was not communicated well as a deposit was required and the link to make the deposit did not work. An email was sent that indicated the deposit was to be made “upon arrival.” That was not the case. The deposit was needed prior to arrival in order to get the lockbox code.
The property is in decent condition, but there is no toaster on site, only one roll of extremely thin toilet paper provided for each bathroom, and no hand towels in the house. Mismatched dishes, no wine glasses, and a dingy sofa proved that the owner does not care about these small details that provide comfort.
On a good note, it is a spacious place with plenty of beds and close to shopping, the slopes, and the village.
- Monica (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay for the weekend...House was clean and cozy for our short trip. Would definitely rent again!
And the Host Kristina was always available thru call ie text.
- Jessica (10/5): 5 stars - we had a blast at the country club chalet it was very well maintained, and perfect for a family that just wants to stay in but away from the city i will definitely book this place again thanks for having us!.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very spacious, clean, GREAT COMMUNICATION, near by everything. Only recommendation is to bring your own towels. Towels are provided but very small. This was one of the best places I’ve stayed at in a very long time and would recommend it for everyone
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was home it felt a warm welcome ,clean spacious. I loved it and will be back .
- JonathanMendoza (10/5): - PERFECT BEAUTIFUL CABIN
Loved the location and it was very homy feeling. My autistic son loved being outside and was great for me everything was gated! Overall enjoyed everything and plan to come back here in the future. Thank you so much!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Oktoberfest weekend with friends - Spacious cabin with nice deck. Clean but could use some upgrades.
- Yusly (10/5): - Nos encantó este lugar muy limpio y súper espacioso sin dudarlo nos volveríamos a quedar ahi👍
- Jeffory (10/5): 3 Bd Cabin for Cost of Budget Hotel room. - I cannot overstate the incredible value of this property. Place is a huge three bedroom with all amenities and a big, livable backyard. No AC is only thing I note as not absolutely perfect!
- Keith (10/5): Relaxing - Very comfortable, easy to find, 2 parking spots and an amazing area to explore
- Chad (10/5): Oktoberfest 2019 - The interior of the house is very clean and spacious. We would definitely stay there again. We went to the Oktoberfest and the house is a great location, 2 minute walk. Only downsides are there isn’t much cookware and there are no washcloths, so bring your own.
- Eddy (2/5): Not satisfied!! - When you drive up to the cabin the yards are completely overgrown. Entering the cabin you can’t help but notice the lack of drapes. The windows were filthy with cowboy webs in the corners. No screens on some of the windows, if there where shades they were broken. Spent the weekend completely exposed and and not able to use the living room as the neighbors window was right there And we had no blinds for privacy. The place needs a serious paint job and some TLC. The linens were not comfortable the mattresses the same
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The tohilets wasn’t so clean , the windows has no curtains , out side the property looks like abandoned ..
- nicholas (10/5): Spacious and near everything. - Common areas are spacious. Well furnished and had everything we needed. Nice patio for enjoying the weather. Check in and out was simple. Only drawback was having to dispose of our own trash. Could use a coat of paint.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place to get away from crowed city. Close to the lake.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was close to the venue and it worked out for what we needed
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Pulled up to trash in front yard. Grass had not been mowed in months. Spider webs inside and outside. Furniture falling apart. No air conditioning. Property had that unclean smell to it. Ground level and some windows were not able to lock closed. Be careful with moose on the wall, there may be a surveillance camera in it. The sofa had to be 20 years old with broken springs, stains and stinks.
- RO (10/5): - The property is huge. Love the beds and furniture in each room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Lack of hot water was an issue. Very few amenities such as cookware etc. Anything you may need plan on bringing as it will not be supplied. TV very poor quality, uncomforable beds.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Big bear trip - Very nice trip
- Fredrik (10/5): Great place - This place was amazing! It is a large place with a big back patio and yard. We had 4 kids with us and they loved sleeping in the bunk beds.
- Janice (10/5): - The stay was great and it provided all the conveniences of home.
- grace (8/5): - The cleanliness of the floor is good, but the floor is not clean. If you do not wear a slipper, your soles become very dirty. The furnishings are fabulous. However, the mattress condition of all beds is not good. I can not feel comfortable felling in any bed. It seems to be a very old mettress. Also, Cabin does not use air conditioning in the summer. Considering the summer weather of Big Bear, it can be understood. But I could not feel comfort. Nevertheless, this Cavin is very satisfied with the price. Considering the price of the lantern, it is a great place, and the large lot size is a big advantage.
- Robert (10/5): Great place to stay! - Cabin was wonderful!
- stanley (10/5): Comfy and cozy cabin - Stay was wonderful. Great cabin. Very roomy and comfortable. Having full amenities made it a nice stay. From full.kitchen to laundry.
- Osly (10/5): Nice cabin near to all attractions in town. - Great experience, the cabin was ready for us before the expected time and it was great to get everything off the car and start enjoying the trip.
- Milorad (10/5): Beautiful and clean cabin. - Great experience, looking forward to book another trip. Very convenient if you travel with family. Cabin is fully equipped with everything you need for comfortable stay. Great Wifi, TV, kids games available. I would recommend it to friends and family.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good family cabin - It was great so each kid had their own bedroom and the cabin is close to everything
- Michael (10/5): Mini vacation - The neighbor was so so but we made the best of it!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Big Screen TV Defective - When we arrived, we turned on the TV and noticed it was defective. The left side of the screen was dark. When I called the owner, he was defensive and uncooperative. He kept saying " You just want a refund, you can go to another hotel". He also kept saying " The TV works, no one else has complained". Either the TV just broke recently, or the owner bought the TV cheap somewhere knowing it was defective and it made him mad that I called him on it. Since I don't ski, I was planing on staying back in the room to watch TV while the rest of my family went skiing.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay - Great stay. Hope to stay again!
