- Kelly (10/5): - Owner was super nice. The only thing is when the rooms are clean they should leave an extra roll of toilet paper and extra towels in the bathroom. There is no alarm clocks in the room either. Plus I’m only 4’11 and the mirror or the sink is so tall I can’t see my head.
- Deanndria (10/5): Very good! - Went just for the night! Went to Morgan wallen concert! This is definitely a clean, safe, nice place to stay for the night. Or a few nights if you don’t care about pools and all that! Front desk guy was very nice and helpful! Would 10/10 stay here again!

- Steven (8/5): Nice for the money - Stay was good. Room was recently updated and very clean. Plenty of room . Management was very nice Downfall only an overhead light. Would have been good to have a light on the nightstand between the beds. Windows needed a pull down blind behind them as you could see around the outside blind the way they were away from the wall. Needs a new ice maker for the complex. No permanent lid and does not make enough ice for several people to use
- James (6/5): - Nice stay for 1 night. Staff was super nice. Seemed safe and quiet and obviously has been updated fairly recently. I always check under mattresses for critters and noticed they don’t vacuum under the beds but we weren’t sleeping on the floor so didn’t mind. There was a small burn hole on one sheet but we had two beds so we just used the other one, we could tell both beds (bedding) were clean. Shower was great! We don’t use coffee makers in rooms but still noticed this one was a sticky mess with opened packets still there. Good place for the price though.

- Carin (10/5): - Ww stayed 1 night on the 4th of July and to be honest I was a little nervous to stay here. I moved away 15yrs ago and it was a little questionable then. I have to say they have done some amazing changes and I will definitely stay when I come back into town. Awesome job

First off they had issues with the air conditioning in some rooms and they called us ahead of our stay to tell us and ask if we were alright with moving rooms from one with two beds to one because of this. Some parts of the room was a little dated, but everything was in good condition and the bathroom was updated. I would say my one real issue was that the pillows were not the best, but hey if that is the biggest issue they have I think that’s is pretty good. The staff and grounds were great. Just a cozy little independent place, but we enjoyed it and it was good for what we needed.

- Celia (6/5): - This place seems newly remodeled (perhaps not complete yet?) and under new management (name on receipt was not Villa Rosa). And it would have been acceptable at about $40 less per night. The room was clean but sparse, and there were no table or floor lamps, although the bedside tables were clearly designed to have lamps. A single overhead light is just not suitable for a motel room. The guy at the desk managed to find one lamp for us to use.

The room did have a slight scent of cigarette smoke, howeve didn't ruin our stay. It was a quick stop over night on our drive back home so we were in and out pretty quickly. Easy to find.

- Jennie (10/5): Perfect Find Just off I-90 - Perfect gem on US 20 in Painesville. Owner is a very nice and accomodating gentleman. The place from the road is quaint and charming and the place is tastefully updated. Room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Bed was terrific, firm and comfy as well. No extra frills and pricey anemities so it is economical. Really great family diner nearby..The Perry Family Restaurant. Great food and very nice staff. Motel is convenient to Cleveland, Ashtabula and points in between. A new go to for me when visiting family.

The staff was very friendly! My only suggestion would be to add a bedside lamp. My only complaint is that the room smelled like cigarettes. Personally, I don’t know why cigarette smoking is allowed in any rooms when folks can simply step outside. The odor permeates everything and it was sad to see the burn marks on the lovely new sink.

- Nirmala (10/5): - We had a late arrival and called ahead to make sure there would be no issues with check in. The owner/manager greeted us on arrival and was very pleasant. He had turned the heat on in the room for us prior to our arrival so it would be warmed up and ready. He let us know about some of the upgrade work that was being done, so the walls that were patched and prepped for new paint were not a surprised. The room was clean and comfortable and absolutely perfect for our needs. I highly recommend this facility.

- PAMELA (8/5): - Owner is in process of renovating and room was clean and fresh. A few touch ups to paint are needed. The coffee maker wasn’t able to be plugged in on shelf so needed to move. Possibly a towel hook near shower for towel and extra toiled paper would be nice. We came back from dinner and noticed someone walking in parking lot. Waiting a few minutes in car as he was walking back and forth… only for him to come up to the car and it was the owner. We were being safe as he had his hood up and it just looked sketchy to us but it turned out okay.

- Stephen (10/5): Good stay for the price - It was clean, comfortable, and quiet in addition to being affordable. My only recommendation pertains to the shampoo packets. They're incredibly difficult to open with wet hands in the shower. Overall, I would stay again if in the area.

It’s a motel, so it’s basic, but the room had a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. The bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. There was some noise from the nearby speedway racing track, but it ended by 11:00. Otherwise it was pretty quiet, especially for a Saturday night. There’s a nice grocery store just up the road, along with gas and restaurants. I would stay again.

I thought it was reasonable for the price anyway until the front desk person called my cell phone to tell me they couldn't find one of the towels. I can't think why he would do this unless he thought I stole it. I did not steal a scratchy, cheap motel towel and I was offended by the insinuation. I would probably not recommend Villa Rosa to others unless they had no other options.

- DAVID (6/5): - The room was poorly equiped and looked like it was under renovation. No where to hang clothing,no bedside lighting,1 drinking cup,no chairs except a desk chair. 1 small packet of shampoo and 1 small bar of soap. Mirror in bathroom was useless unless you were 5'8" or taller.
- James (10/5): Another Great Stay at very nice place. - As always, great stay. This time we stayed more than one night. Only issue is and very minor is the shades do not block out 100% of the outdoor lights. While dark in room, not perfect dark as some may like, but could always bring own eye shades. Rooms are very clean, comfortable bed, great bathroom. Been years since you could park a large truck at property, but a business down the street allows truck parking and with us always having a regular size car or truck we are good.
- Frank (8/5): Very nice place. - The place was an unexpected diamond in the ruff! The room was clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom was outstanding. The walls were soaked but not painted and the room could have used another chair. Small items that I'm sure will be done the next time we stay.

- Ardys (8/5): - Recently refinished room and they’ve done some nice landscaping out front to make the space more appealing. Very Nice bathroom. Great shower. Good bed. They still have a few things to take care of before it’s well appointed for guests. They need bedside lamps and an overhead light that isn’t so sterile. Need towel bars and bigger bath towels and a comfy chair to sit in. With those and some coffee in the morning I’d give it a 5. A good work in progress.

They certainly could have kept it and I would not have known the difference. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

No place for a breakfast area, but would have been nice to have bagels, donuts & coffee machine in lobby. Coffee maker in room didn't work.

- Harold (10/5): - This is a very small place and very affordable. Newly renovated and a very nice place to stay. I have been here four different times with no issues at all.
- Yvonne (6/5): - The manager was very nice, check in was quick and easy. Although they are remodeling, we did get a room that was half done. No amenities were in the room except for the coffee. No blow dryer, so the second day I looked awful. Ice machine didn't work. The motel did have a picnic area with a grill and fire pit. The manager fished around for some wood for us. All in all, our stay was good. Would like to go back to see the finished rooms.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice modern room that has been remodelled. Walk in shower with rainwater shower head, tile on the floor, new drywall, fresh paint and trim. A ton of money was spent on the remodel. Hard laminate on the room floor, no carpet here. I would bring an eye cover if you are sensitive to light at night, some light was coming in around the blinds at night. (I forgot mine at home :( )It was quiet when I was there on a Saturday night.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ultimately Disappointing - I wanted to like this place--it had seemed like exactly what I was looking for, but my stay was mediocre. I was checked in by a pleasant gentleman who even gave me recommendations about scenic lakefront places to visit. But when I went to my room I thought there had been a mistake. The walls were spackled, awaiting paint. There was no place to hang clothes--the rack was missing from the wall. No lamp on the desk or night table--all the lighting was in the ceiling. But the room was clean enough, with a comfortable bed, a fridge & microwave, good wifi & TV. The building is a midcentury traditional motel of solid construction set back from the highway...quiet with a nice atmosphere. But the room numbers were handwritten on the doors and I wondered whether ownership cared about the negative impressions created by physical elements of their property that could be easily and cheaply corrected. Additionally, the 10am checkout time made no difference to me but is the earliest I've ever seen. For $100 a night I really expected better, and will not return to this property.

- Barbara (10/5): - The new showers are incredible. I booked a 3 night stay, but only had enough toiletries and towels for one night. The manager provided supplies when asked and was very polite but knowing I was staying 3 nights, it would have been nice to have a 3 night supply. I enjoyed the quiet and the location. Also the bed was very comfortable.
- Ariel (8/5): - The Villa Rosa Motel was fine for an overnight stay. Since it was humid out, I appreciated the ac in the room. It wasn't the most appealing visually; there were patches of paint on the walls indicating recent renovation. But the facilities worked, and the bed was comfortable.

It wasn’t hot, AC was kind of anemic. Would definitely stay again. Well worth the 10 minutes to get away from the interstate.

- Sarah (2/5): - The staff was horrible charged us extra money for checking out 20 minutes late. Which their time is 10:30 am ?? Charged us $47. We only paid $85 per night on first place. Then they called and charged us for smoking in room which we don’t smoke. They charged my card $250. He hung up on me when I tried to explain we don’t smoke. Awful place with terrible staff. The rooms were speckled like they were doing to paint and forgot to. Water pressure is bad. I am not usually a complainer but they are after your money in ways that are strange. Fees etc. the area is great but you do have to drive for things to do.

Rooms all smelled like garbage with trash old wash on floor. Room with sparkling on walls and unpainted. Security a worry. Gave the key back after checking room and did not stay there — impossible to stay there. It should be shut down — Expedia should remove this listing — I am sure the health department would condem this place. All bad news!

- Linda (10/5): Pretty nice/affordable motel - The motel has been newly renovated and our room was quite nice. Bathroom shower was large with great water flow. We had the king bed and it was, to my taste, VERY hard. I know some prefer that. I think it could use an added pillow top or something. Area was quiet and there was a nice Italian restaurant/bar only .5 miles away. Front desk person was friendly and helpful!

- RICK (8/5): - This is an older, smaller property that offers a clean and quiet room. Not at all fancy, but there have been updates. Bathroom is very modern with walk in shower, tiled walls, LED lamp touch operated mirror. Beds are decent, in need of updated bedspreads. Mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot in room. Walls are bare, which adds to the drabness but the room was very clean. Owner was onsite and very friendly and helpful. You can tell he is very proud of his property. Told us what had been done and what was coming in the future. Great price for the stay, and super convenient location for what we needed. Plenty of parking. Had zero issues or concerns while we were there. Would stay again without hesitation!
- Amanda (6/5): Big improvements, still in progress - I was curious to see how this would go as older reviews said it was rundown but newer ones said it had been remodeled. Well, the remodel is beautiful! New from floor to ceiling: trim moldings, blinds, furniture, bathroom fixtures. The bathroom is particularly well done with marble and glass tiles and a touch-controlled mirror light. However, the redecorating has not been done. Bedspreads are old. No pictures on the walls are not a big deal but no lamps (on bedside tables or desk) was less than idea. No coffee cups to go with the coffee maker was a bit of a head-scratcher.
- Deborah (8/5): Pricey /no frills - It was fine. I think it’s a bit pricey for what you get. No frills. A bed, a desk, and office chair but no rugs, or decorations. Nice bathroom. Very clean. Just seemed boxy to me. It served it’s purpose but I wouldn’t hang out in the room.

- linda (10/5): Quite, clean place to stay - this place was super clean, didn't smell, parking lot very clean, very friendly people and guests a like. Owner was on site all the time was making sure things were clean. Took pride in his motel. Steal working on doing improvements to the property. Can't wait to go back and see what new things he has done.
- Andria J (8/5): Good for a overnight stay - Clean and friendly place. Definitely no frills but the bed was comfortable. It was extremely stuffy...the room has a window air conditioner which was not on when we arrived. We turned it on right away but the room still seemed stuffy all night long. The bathroom is small but nicely remodeled.
- Darryl (10/5): - Easy to find. Being remodeled so room was new and nice. Very clean. Easy parking. Bed comfortable. Loved the shower. Wi-Fi good. Price was awesome!! No hairdryer, iron board, iron etc. but who cares. I would rather have a place with fewer amenities at a great price than a few extras that I don't use for many more$$. Manager friendly and helpful. Higly recommend!
- Ellen (8/5): - They were under renovation and still making changes which are very nice. I spoke to the manager who was very receptive to a couple of things that could be changed in the rooms to make it work better for customers. I will definitely be staying there again in the future

- Donna (10/5): Clean, Simple, Quiet - It was a fine Motel stay. I liked that the room was recently upgraded. Clean and simple. I liked that the the kitchen area faced away from the bed. Our experience was quiet and low stress. We practiced yoga in the morning in the common area and enjoyed the trees surrounding the property. I will definitely return when back in the area.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Adequate lodging - Rooms were clean and good looking. Reserved a king bed, got room with 2 full beds. Refrigerator, coffee pot and microwave in room; towels & washcloths stocked. no supplies (no soap, coffee, Kleenex, or extra roll of TP, etc.)
- BRUCE (10/5): Comfortable Stay! - Villa Rosa was exactly what we expected, a simple & nicely appointed room with a very friendly and helpful owner. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Good Fridge, microwave and coffeemaker!

- Charles (10/5): A Great Surprised - The outside don’t look the greatest, but the room all new!!!!! We couldn’t believe it . The owner/ front desk he was very nice & had said how much work they have been doing. The only thing I could complain about is the towels but really they were fine. We will stay here again 🤗😊

And he didn't want to charge me for the ride! That is customer care to the highest degree. Five Star Service with a smile. Thank you kind Sir and blessings from above!
