- Amber (3/5): NO PET POLICY HAHA - Location The listing states there is a no pet policy however after checking in and coming back from dinner the first night we noticed several other guests with dogs. Upon asking hotel staff, they informed us that they are a pet friendly hotel as are the neighboring hotels. Once I asked for a refund they refused to give back our money. We would have went to a no pet hotel. As when I booked this trip the policy stated no pets. This left us very upset as we are allergic to pet dander. The room was decent until we moved the table to pull out the sofa bed, and noticed very large what looked to be pet stains on the carpet. No accommodations were made when this was brought to the hotel staff. Instead we paid for 2 nights in a carpet stained and pet dander room. - Taylor (4/5): Sleep was pleasant, okay to stay but check your room. - The Serving area always stayed neat and was stocked with enough supplies. Rooms are not thoroughly cleaned and checked. First room I was sent to I had my caution as I was placed at the end of the floor and noticed debris leading to the room. Opened the door saw the tile was dirty and carpet had trash also. Went to a second room it was clean but not fully stocked with the normal supplies used by guest. I will not select this property again.

- christy16415 (6/5): It’s just ok - We stayed here for 2 nights so that we could visit Harper’s Ferry, wineries, and downtown Frederick. It’s in a great location for this. In general, the hotel is acceptable. Our room was clean-ish. I’ve never stayed in a room with so much hair. The sink, the bathroom floor, the tub. Just everywhere. Pretty gross. Breakfast was so bad that we left and went to breakfast elsewhere. Everything was lukewarm and had obviously been out for a while, and we went at a reasonable time on a Saturday. Staff are not friendly at all. I mean, they are super friendly to each other but look very upset when you interrupt their personal conversations. Always make you feel special, especially as a diamond member. Would I stay here again? Probably not. Next time we are in the area we will likely try the Home2 suites next door since it’s still in the Hilton portfolio.

- tjinva2000 (10/5): All around good experience - My stay at the Homewood Suites in Frederick, MD was very nice. Upon arrival, I received a warm greeting and was thanked for being a Diamond Member. I found my room to be quiet and very clean. The mattress and pillows were comfortable, and the bath towels like new. I will likely choose this property again if I need to stay in the area in the future.

The small pool was a little overwhelmed with people and our room neighbors were having a party. The staff addressed the noise though, so appreciate it. Despite being very clean, the furniture showed signs for disrespectful guests, hence the party. It had a nice common area to meet up our travel companions which was nice. There was an outdoor hang out space too, which would be awesome in good weather.

My complaints are that most of the outlets in our room didn’t work and the shower didn’t have any grip on the bottom so my daughter kept slipping. Although they serve it from 6:30 to 9:30 am you must need to go very early for it to be warm. We went at 8:30 am and that was not the case. The potatoes and eggs were cold. There was also almost no oatmeal left. It was disappointing.

- Coastal49404113503 (10/5): Will ONLY stay here! - Homewood Suites by Hilton Frederick is the ONLY place I will stay now when I visit the DC/Va area. I want to specifically acknowledge NAHIF and JIMMY at the front desk for their professionalism, helpfulness and their willingness to go above and beyond for our family. As we were there for a large family wedding, Nahif and Jimmy helped us by storing an easel and box of flowers for the rehearsal dinner until the family members that needed the materials arrived. Their consideration in this matter allowed for the rehearsal reservations to proceed on time. They are a credit to the Hilton organization. Also I would like to give a shout out to the chef/cooks/staff of the breakfast bar/buffet. It was excellent! Also the inclusion of non-dairy oats and chi seed pudding was spot on. In this world of dietary restrictions it was so nice to be offered choices. I also spoke to the manger Rachael and told her how how impressed my family was with this hotel

This hotel allows pets and some of the stains I saw on the carpet were clearly animal stains of some sort. No way to open windows. But would stay again.

We could walk to many restaurants, and it was only a 10 minute drive to downtown. Very clean, great breakfast spread and nice staff.
