Guest Reviews
- Janet (7/5): Our stay was beautiful & relaxing. - Location was very beautiful & peaceful. We enjoyed our stay very much. The included breakfast could have been a little more varied.
It was not exactly what I would call Continental
But staff were very helpful & friendly. .
- Jan (8/5): We’re coming back! 💙 - Sensational location Lots of floor movement in the cabins. But the view made up for it
- ROD (10/5): - Great staff,great venue, great food.
What more can you ask for... Nothing
- Gai (8/5): -
- Allan (10/5): One of the friendliest staff I have ever had to encounter - Location Midges, but there everywhere in the NT
- Letchimi (8/5): Relaxing - Next to beach, lovely deck, restaurant made packing easier. Hubby could park our boat on the beach. Need fans on verandah. Would be nice to have a kids pool and an adults pool. Restaurant got a little busy over the long weekend and took 2 hrs for meals to come out. Staff were apologetic and sometimes these things happen. Ruined our friends night however who does not go out very often so was really looking forward to his meal and it came out wrong and not well made. He left it and went to bed.

- vindya (10/5): -
- Kim (5/5): Food was great. Clean room. Actual room was shabby - Got there, didn’t realise it was a shared balcony. Next room had 5 people on the balcony with full camping cooktop etc making dumplings. Very uncomfortable - felt like we were invading their space.
- Lisa (10/5): The best - Amazing & amazing Not staying longer
- Skye (10/5): Relaxing - Location, uniqueness
- Scott (10/5): -
- Niran (5/5): all good - NA. I was actually looking for a nice bastirà coffee but unfortunately it was not available.
- Carol (10/5): - Great location and facilities, great food Nothing
- Geethal (8/5): -
- Jaylene (8/5): - Great location. Stunning scenery. Staff really helpful. Restaurant, pool and facilities were great.
- Chamila (8/5): Our vacation was wonderful because your accommodation is located in a very quiet and secluded area. - Even though the breakfast was buffet style, we were provided with the food we needed. Thank you. Your location is so beautiful. Nothing.
- Bruno (3/5): - Personal sehr freundlich, Essen sehr gut 👍
- Kara (7/5): Nice, enjoyable experience but fairly expensive for off-season - We had a lovely stay at Crab Claw. It was 'off-season' and not many others in the accommodation. We enjoyed our stay, food was lovely at the restaurant. And there was a bonus continental breakfast included.
We enjoyed the beach walks, and night walks croc spotting, fishing and lazing about for the weekend! Only down side was the price, compared to other places and it being off-season and relatively empty, it was expensive (especially for just a room with ensuite, no kitchenette etc). Given they have to staff the place, I would think lowering prices and getting more people through would be ideal for the business.
- Holly (8/5): -
- Josephine78* (7/5): South Pacific vibes - The location is awesome, not too far from Darwin.
The bar area is fantastic and made you feel like you were on a South Pacific Island. Loved all the elevated walkways!
The continental breakfast inclusion was a nice surprise. The pool was lovely and cool.
Dinner at the restaurant was well priced. The cost of the bungalows is a little expensive for the quality of accommodation. The room was small, and we felt a little crammed in.
A lack of PowerPoint's was a little annoying.
One of the female workers did not seem to enjoy her job and came off a little annoyed when she interacted with any of us, but everyone else was jolly and seemed happy to be there.
- Donna (8/5): -
- Katy (7/5): I love the location and the remoteness. The staff were super friendly and helpful. - Such a beautiful location. Love the cabins up on the board walk. When we booked a double bed and 2 singles, didn't realise they were all crammed into one little room. Thought it would be a bit bigger for the price.
- Suzanne (10/5): Amazing staff and incredible location ! - The uniqueness of it !
- Luke (8/5): - Amazing location
- Deb (8/5): Great for families, such an easy and relaxing getaway, couldn’t fault the food at all! - Location and views
Everything was easy
Food was excellent Dirty, someone’s popcorn was everywhere under the bed and even someone else’s underwear under there!
Could do with a really good clean
- Katrina (8/5): - The location was very nice and very peaceful
- Joyce (8/5): - Room was good; staff was friendly, but bathroom was not clean enough; could see a lot mould especially around the shower and the ceiling. Thanks
- Gemma (10/5): -
- Nimesh (5/5): - There was no proper dinner and breakfast served. Dinner shut at 7.30pm, no breakfast chef in the kitchen. Food n service
- david (5/5): had to cut short due to illness regarding the midgee bites requiring medical assistance. - the breakfast at the resort was a great idea. Maybe an upgrade to the rooms.
- Judith (5/5): Won’t be going back, not happy - Location , facilities Paper thin walls with the room next door with the occupant having a chronic smokers cough. The shared balcony, with said occupant chain smoking right outside our room. Even if he wasn’t a chain smoker , there was no privacy.
Also anyone walking on the wooden raised walkway, could be felt as we were lying in bed.
- Jacqui (8/5): A great place to relax, enjoy the views and the surrounds - and the food! - The location of this place, and the lay out of the accommodation, along with the raised boardwalks that are used to get around give you a feeling of resort living. The staff were wonderful, and VERY accommodating. The pools were well shaded and each pool offered a different 'vibe', but both had sufficient lounges and chairs. The wildlife that chooses to hang around adds so much to the experience, and the food - omg! We were unlucky to have arrived at the same day that a large group was celebrating, with detracted from the serenity, but this is no fault of the venue. I also was looking for more walking opportunities.

- Lynne (10/5): Best value for money stay will million dollar location - The restaurant location and food are fantastic!! Would have liked a little more luxury in the cabin
- Shirley (10/5): Perfect spot, great food - Perfectly situated right on the beach. The chef cooked up our catch of crabs - chilli crab
Very relaxing We are planning a yearly trip
Sunrise and sunsets were magical Nothing
- Guy (7/5): Good - It is a great location. We visited as a stop over from Litchfield before going back to Darwin. Nice dinner. Room pretty basic. Its really set up for fishing and boatees. Its a lovely beach but obviously you can't go on it cos of crocs.
- Subedi (8/5): Very good -
- John (10/5): - Great outlook and very friendly staff.
- Bart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (6/5): The location is great, staff fantastic, food good, accommodation disgusting - The venue, staff and meals were fantastic. For what we paid for a beachside cabin that was no better than a school camp dorm was disgustingly expensive. $260 for 2 people per night.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maria (8/5): Very good - The location The cabins need to have some maintenance done to them
- Ciara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (8/5): Very good -
- Pauline (8/5): It was peaceful-staff were great and we wish we could have stayed longer but time was not with us on - Breakfast was great as was the evening meal-value for money
Only issue was double bed was too small -would rather one of the 2 single beds in the room out an possibly a queen bed
Bathroom a bit tight but very clean and lovely hot water. The road in was atrocious -it took us nearly an hour to come in as we were in a hire car and the corrugations were a killer.
but when we left next morning I presume the resort had it graded overnight and it was a great road to exit on and a lot more comfortable to drive on.
So whether that is what they do of a night well done.
- Annette (8/5): Great location, hospitality and bar/restaurant & food, but accommodation needs to be improved. - The location with sunset and sunrise views were amazing. Perfect spot for fishing, and thought the complimentary continental breakfast was a welcome Suprise. The accommodation. Whilst it was beachfront, there was really nothing more than a small bar fridge, bed and toilet. Likened it to a dorm room, but maybe other rooms are better.
- Peirce (8/5): Very relaxing - Great location, and beach side bungalows. The whole structure does 'move' though when people walk about the upper decking. Lovely swimming pools, clean facilities, and the open-air bar/restaurant is lovely to spend time at. The cups in the rooms could be mugs.
- George (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anu (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous spot
- Lyn (9/5): Superb -
- Katherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (9/5): Great - A few more PowerPoints in the cabin
- Kim (8/5): Very good -
- Wendys5boys (9/5): Superb - Super quiet place, stunning scenery and friendly staff Boats can only be hired for a full day. Would like a half day option 😁
- Robbs (6/5): Pleasant - Secluded area close to Darwin
Quite picturesque. It would be a good spot for boating launching and fishing. Room we stayed in was over due for a refurb and a clean.
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (7/5): Good -
- Jasper8866 (8/5): Great little spot for camping, glamping, fishing and crabbing - We would recommend the location for families. The food at the restaurant was excellent. Staff were very helpful. We loved that you can hire their boat. $300 for the day plus fuel. Spend a nice day on the water and not have to worry about cleaning it after. We would not recommend the beach front cabins as they share a wall with the cabin next door, and you can hear everything your neighbours are up to. The stand-alone cabins out back would have been much more suitable for two nights and families.
- Lynn (8/5): Very good -
- Klara (10/5): Gorgeous escape to secluded paradise - Our stay at Crab Claw resort was wonderful! After camping through the Top End’s national parks, it was the perfect way to cap off our trip in a beachfront villa overlooking the stunning scenery! The staff are kind and attentive, and the bar was a great place to unwind and reminisce of our travels over a cold beer and a delicious meal. Highly recommend at Crab Claw Resort, and will definitely be back!
- Gary (8/5): Beautiful tropical location and scenery. - The location and tropical scenery on the waters edge were delightful. The rooms are small and very basic.
- Dane (5/5): Passable -
- Keisha (5/5): Passable -
- Blanco (8/5): Very good -
- Kirsty (8/5): Very good - The food was fantastic.
The staff are so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best stay! true territory style! You can't swim in the ocean, but that's the NT!
- Lisa (6/5): Stunning location but accomodation needs TLC. - Views are outstanding which is what you pay for lunch ( tacos) were delicious. Cabins need some TLC, for $300 per night the bathroom windowsill was rotting, damp and mould in bathroom. Lights didn't work, keylock didn't work, mirror in bathroom suitable if you are 6ft. The noise was incredible. Paper thin walls so mych so we could hear entire conversations from the adjoining cabin. Even our reacups in our room rattled when someone went past. We were awake from 5.30am on a Sunday. Staff were OK unless you complained about something then they were rude. Due to that we skipped breakfast and left earlier than planned.
Stunning location but not restful at all.
- Brenton (9/5): Superb - Always fun and relaxing Tourists keeping and fish and crab they caught
- Danielle (9/5): Awesome no reception and nature at its best ❤️❤️ - sitting on the deck of the bar, view is amazing, meals are excellent, drink prices reasonable. the road in need of grating, rooms need a little tlc. a power point outside of rooms would be useful. A continental breakfast was provided but would have been nice to know in advance no cooked breakfast on weekdays as we had planned to buy breakie
- Anh (7/5): First time travel to NT, family trip. - - Superb location: clean beach, calm water, relaxing, quiet and not too far from Darwin.
- The restaurant/pub: friendly, polite & helpful staff, excellent 5 star quality food (we were all very impressed), nice view, good vibe.
- Tidy room, balcony with the sea view - The only road to the property is NOT SUITABLE FOR 2WD (photos attached). Not everyone is a local and have a 4WD.. The property management should make people aware of this fact during the booking.
- Room is tiny, no place to put luggages, only beds + a small fridge, only one socket.
- The ground and the pool needs a bit of tidiness.
- Richard (9/5): Superb - Everything . Location. Food . Accommodation Neighbours playing loud music till fkn 1.30 am
- Tanya (9/5): Great little getaway location. - Excellent location. We stayed in a beachfront cabin. Sensational food at the restaurant. Huge portions and scrumptious flavours. Friendly helpful staff. Crisp clean white new sheets and towels. Good shaded swimming pools.
We will be back. Individual breakfast cereal packets are due to expire this month. One had weavels. Otherwise, the included continental breakfast was a sufficient start to the day.
- Van (9/5): Great family experience with boat hire added - Wallabies on the beach, new kids playground, great food, new bedding in cabins. Boat hire is available and a great experience. We loved our experience and cant complain.
- Pete (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alice (8/5): Very good -
- Judith (9/5): Fantastic staff and beautiful location. - Great location. The friendly staff were amazing and went that extra mile to make our stay more enjoyable. The room was small but comfortable.
- Caren (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were fantastic, the location can't be beaten for a stress free weekend away The bugs
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -

- Reuban (8/5): Awesome location and a good view. - The location was calm and quite the sea side view was awesome. The heat was too much but apart from that enjoyed our stay. And ..... they have wifi in the rooooom wow. The pool and the door lock, the lock on room 12 was a struggle.
- Sharon (7/5): Good -
- Cameron (8/5): Great place for a break even if you dont wet a line - Location and Staff were exceptional
Truly a slice of Top End Paradise
- Uddin (9/5): Superb -
- Natalie (10/5): Relaxing, fun enjoyable - Staff really awesome. The road was rough, but don't really care, that's bush tracks.
- Dawn (7/5): Beach views and good food. - Beach views and good food Rooms are very compact and shared balcony’s with strangers isn’t ideal!
